Andy looked over to the young man falling asleep on the couch. He had the same face shape that all of the Halliwell sisters shared, with a strong jaw line and high cheekbones. The crystal could have been glowing because Chris was nearby. He and Prue were angelic beings and shouldn't be able to create children.
… Then again, so was Leo.
"We may have something!" Piper came down the stairs, holding the Book of Shadows in her arms. She placed it on the table before taking a seat next to Prue's head. Andy moved over to make room as Prue sat up and leaned her head on Piper's shoulder.
Chris' eyes opened when Paige, Phoebe and Leo entered back into the room. Andy couldn't take his eyes off of the whitelighter. His green eyes were the same unique shade as Prue's.
He looked back at Prue and smiled as he saw her reach out and grab Piper's hand. Prue and Chris had identical eyes. He wasn't sure why he hadn't noticed before, because now he couldn't stop.
"Here" Piper smiled, pointing to the opened page. "We just need to make you drink a gross potion and say a spell holding an item that belongs to the person who infected you".
"I can do that" Prue nodded. "The athame is in the Parlour on the ghostly plane from when I vanquished the demon.
"No, I'll go" Andy kissed the top of Prue's head and orbed out.
Prue's lips tightened and she held her hand up to her mouth. Piper noticed her sister's wave of nausea and gave her other hand a tight squeeze.
Moments later, Andy reappeared holding the athame. Phoebe grabbed the weapon from the inspector while Paige turned to look at the Paige.
"Take the Magic used to attack, magic forces send it back" all three sisters read together.
"I hope they add to that in the future. Seems a little week" Paige muttered. She went to hand Prue the potion, but she shook her head.
"Him first. He looks worse off". She pointed to Chris who was now sleeping sitting up. Phoebe leaned down and shook the whitlighter's arm gently. His green eyes flashed open.
"Sorry, I dozed off" he sent a smile to his Aunt.
"It's okay" Phoebe whispered. She lifted the potion bottle to his lips and instinctively placed another comforting hand on his. He drank the potion slowly, barely spilling a drop. Phoebe handed the bottle to Paige who then left the room to fill it up once more.
"Anything?"
Chris shook his head no. "It may have been someone else who cast the spell".
Leo's lips tightened. If someone from the future cast the spell, their chances were pretty slim of getting an object that belongs to them.
"What do we do then?" Paige was padded into the room holding the next potion for Prue. Her heart dropped deep into her chest when she saw her sister slump against Piper's shoulder, giving into the urge to sleep.
Piper stroked Prue's hair, looking to Leo with pleading eyes.
Chris watched his mother and Aunt. He knew that there was only one person with the ability to affect both his and Prue's magic. He closed his eyes tightly and concentrated on orbing.
Andy watched as sweat formed on the young man's forehead. Blue and white lights surrounded him, but he remained on the couch. Andy stepped towards him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Where to?" He asked, looking down at Chris.
Chris shook his head.
"I can't say".
Andy nodded, understanding that he needed to keep secrets.
"You focus on the place and I'll orb us there" he ordered, allowing the two of them to disappear.
"What just happened?" Phoebe asked.
"I think Chris knows who cast the spell". Piper answered, she gave Prue's hand another tight squeeze.
Nursery
Chris and Andy landed a few feet away from Wyatt's crib. Andy's eyes widened. What he had heard when the demon was speaking to Gideon was true. And Chris already knew.
Chris placed one hand on the dresser to keep his balance. He looked up at Andy and knew he was figuring out many of the clues about Wyatt. Surprisingly, Andy wasn't upset.
Andy looked around the room. He couldn't find anything that they wouldn't know was Wyatt's. He closed his eyes and conjured the athame to him.
"Can you say the spell?"
Chris hesitated. He wasn't sure how much Andy knew about him. He was clearly beginning to wonder about his powers since only witches could say the spell.
Another wave of pain hit him. It had to be done.
He nodded and reached out for the athame. Andy handed it to him and quietly went over to Wyatt's crib. The infant was sound asleep, taking his nap. Andy looked around and saw his soother was laying beside him. He picked it up and handed it to Chris.
Chris held the soother in one hand while saying the spell. Wyatt opened his eyes and looked up at Andy.
"It's okay, bud" Andy flashed him a grin. "Go back to sleep".
He took the soother back from Chris and placed it in the boy's mouth.
"You probably have questions" Chris let out a defeated sigh.
"Not now" Andy smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder and orbing them back downstairs.
Living Room
"It should work this time" Chris informed with a hoarse voice.
Andy handed the athame to Phoebe who held it in her hands along with the potion. Once all aspects were finished, Prue and Chris were each given their own potion bottle this time.
The room was silent while they drank. Piper tried to see if Andy had seen anything interesting about Chris' life, but he just seemed a little more tense than normal.
"It's working … Slowly, but the burning has stopped". Prue lifted her eyes up to Andy. He smiled back to her and leaned down for a kiss.
"Chris, should we let the Elders know there's someone from the future attacking you?" Paige questioned. She was still weary of his secrets.
"No!" Andy's voice was louder than he expected. "...Sorry, I just don't think the Elders should be involved. Especially since we don't know why Prue's on the physical plane".
Piper nodded and wrapped her arms around Prue, making Phoebe laugh.
"It just means I have to work faster" Chris added.
"Well, they certainly can't have her" Piper giggled. "They'd have to take me too".
Chris' powers were still weak and Phoebe felt a jolt of emotional pain from him. She raised an eyebrow at him. He turned away from her, knowing she must have sensed something.
"Maybe we should strip her powers properly so they can't sense her?" Leo asked, looking around for support.
"Definitely not". Chris sat up so he could look at Leo directly. "We're going to need Prue soon, and especially her powers. She's still the strongest Charmed One".
He knew that would hurt Paige, but it was true. Prue was the oldest and still remained the most powerful in the afterlife.
"I'll be back then. I need to go back to make sure they don't notice I'm gone much again". He looked over to Leo. "Gideon runs a tight ship in terms of the rules".
He leaned down to kiss Prue once more. She and Leo nodded and watched as he disappeared.
"Let's let them rest for a bit" Phoebe ordered, standing up and hoping the others would follow. She noticed Piper's hesitation. "Sweetie, you and Leo go check on Wyatt and I'll stay with Prue".
Piper looked over and Prue. She nodded in agreement with Phoebe.
"I told you, I'm not going anywhere" Prue smiled.
Piper slowly got up off of the couch and made her way to the doorway.
"She'll be here when you get back … go … get!" Phoebe ordered.
Paige went off to clean up and Leo followed Piper. It was just Phoebe, Prue and Chris left.
"You guys should sleep the rest off".
Prue nodded. She gently tapped the couch with her hand, implying that Phoebe should join her on the couch. A huge grin took over Phoebe's face as she took a seat next to Prue. She placed a pillow on her lap and let her sister lay her head there.
Prue was fast asleep after only five minutes. Phoebe pushed some of her dark hair out of her eyes and looked up and the mysterious man from the future. His eyes were closed, but his mind was racing. She could feel it.
"You know, I'm happy your powers are weak right now" she whispered. His green eyes fluttered open. "I'm getting to read who you are a little bit".
She felt his fear. Why fear?
"How do you know us so well in the future?" Her eyes locked in on his. He was trying to block his emotions now. She could feel them less already. He must have been trying hard.
"Wyatt and I are close friends one day" he responded. That was all he would give her. Suddenly she could feel no emotions from him again.
Nursery
Leo held Wyatt in his arms while Piper put his old jumper in the laundry basket.
"I'm going to miss this guy again". His smile disappeared as he Wyatt leaned into his chest.
"Do you really need to go?" Piper inched closer to him.
He nodded silently.
"Now that you're safe, I need to help re-build up there". He took her hand in his, continuing to balance Wyatt on his hip. "I also need to make sure the Elders don't notice Prue's here … If Chris is right".
Piper closed her eyes tightly, fighting off tears.
"I trust him … But I don't want you to go".
"I'll always be closeby if you need me".
"What about Wyatt?" She was fighting off a flood of tears.
"He'll always feel my presence".
Piper nodded, knowing that they all shared special bonds. Just like her bond with Prue that went through the physical plane.
"This is just temporary" Leo assured, capturing her lips with his. The kiss lasted for several moments before Leo pulled away. He handed Wyatt to her and orbed away. Piper turned away, trying to hide the tears that were freely falling now.
