Here is one of two chapters that I'll be posting in the next few hours :) I broke them in two so they could flow better. I am almost finished the next one too.

This first part has a few scenes that are similar to "The Courtship of Wyatt's Father" with a spin for this story. I hope you enjoy! I will go back to finishing up the next chapter.

Manor

"Phew" Piper sighed as she closed the front door. "I am exhausted".

Leo held Wyatt in his arms and gazed around the living room. Gift bags and colourful wrapping littered the floor from Wyatt's birthday party.

The Elder's green eyes focused on the toddler and both of their smiles grew.

"Did you have fun, buddy? Did you like it?" He swayed his body side to side to comfort the tired toddler.

"Yeah, he was a really good boy and only made mummy freeze the room once!" Piper added, flashing a smirk to her son.

"He was excited. It's his birthday" Leo defended with a silly voice.

"He was excited to see you. He misses you".

Leo's smile faded.

"I know. I miss him too".

"Leo!" Phoebe grinned from ear to ear as she made her way into the foyer. "You didn't have any champagne during the party! Why don't you have some now?"

"Elders aren't allowed to drink" he dismissed the idea quickly.

"Oh, come on. You're not on the clock".

"Sorry" he laughed and opened his mouth to say more but was interrupted by Paige coming in through the door.

"Is it time for the adult birthday party yet?" She rushed through the door holding several shopping bags.

"Soon … what's in there?" Piper asked, trying to peek in. Paige was busy looking at all of the food on the tables.

"They're fun games and books that Prue can do it bed …" Her eyes went from the chocolate covered strawberries to the oysters and finally the champagne. "Okay … who's trying to get laid?"

Phoebe almost choked on her glass of champagne.

"Was there a hot dad?" Her brow quirked up to Piper.

"No Paige, Phoebe handled the food so I could be with Wyatt".

"And Leo!" Phoebe grinned, earning a suspicious look from both Paige and Piper.

"Not that I'm complaining or anything because you did such great work. But aren't the kids a little young for the aphrodisiacs?

"They're aphrodisiacs?" Phoebe's voice quivered. She knew they were on to her. "Heh, who knew!"

Paige followed Phoebe's gaze to Piper and Leo who were both staring at Wyatt. She smiled and caught on to part of what Phoebe was trying to do. Although, she only assumed that Phoebe was trying to rekindle their romance.

"Bubbly?" She asked, picking up the bottle of champagne and holding it towards Piper.

"Paige..."

"What? I'm just trying to get you to have some fun with Phoebe. Prue can't drink right now and I don't, so poor Phoebe would have to drink alone".

She turned on her heels and left for the kitchen,

"She's been weird since she changed her hair colour. She'll probably change it back" Piper explained to Leo while rolling her eyes.

Phoebe slipped out of the way and into the kitchen.

"Okay, why are you trying so hard to get two people laid?" Paige asked with her hands on her hips.

"Paige, that is disgusting!"

"Well, it's what we're trying to do, right? Do I need to tell Prue what you're up to?"

"No, we are trying to romance Piper and Leo together …"

Paige's eyebrow quirked up. She stared her older sister down.

"It's so they can conceive our new niece or nephew".

"I don't think now is the best time for that? They haven't been very 'couply' lately."

Chris orbed into the room as his the words escaped his Aunt's mouth so he caught the tail end of it.

"It's because if they don't, my cousin won't be born". His green eyes pleaded to her. "And believe me, she's amazing"

Paige's eyes widened and she remained speechless. This was the second time she was getting knowledge about future family members and she still wasn't used to it.

"I messed up. She's supposed to be conceived today or she doesn't happen along with the many great things that she's meant to do".

"Today?" Phoebe gasped. "I thought we had more time!"

"Yeah. I did some investigating with a seer and if she's not conceived by midnight tonight, that's it. And she's the only reason I made it out of a really bad magical attack after Wyatt became evil..."

"Which means it could change this timeline too …" Paige mouthed and Chris nodded back.

"Yeah, see that time travel thing". Phoebe pressed her index fingers into her temples.

"What about making a love potion and just … like, slipping it to them" Chris asked in desperation.

"Hey, look, I have an idea. Call me crazy, but why don't we just tell them the truth?" Phoebe asked.

"Sure, let's give them a massive case of performance anxiety … not to mention that they aren't in the most ideal relationship position to be having children".

"We're already out of options" Phoebe sighed.

"And time" Chris added, letting out a sigh of his own.

The conversation ended when a large crash came from the next room. All three of them ran out of the room towards the noise.

Foyer

A darklighter began to run down the stairs towards Wyatt. Piper slowed his advances by sending powerful blasts his way but he managed to dodge all of them.

"Wyatt!" Leo yelled, running towards his son.

The darklighter dark orbed from the stairs and appeared right next to the Charmed toddler.

"Don't touch him!"

The darklighter smirked and turned to Leo. His crossbow lifted up and aimed at the Elder. Leo orbed out of harm's way as Chris ran out from the kitchen.

The arrow passed through where Leo had just been standing and was heading right for Chris. Without hesitation, Phoebe pushed her nephew out of of the way of the poisonous arrow.

Chris crashed into the floor and his eyes widened as the arrow came inches away from Phoebe's face. Before it could make contact, the arrow turned around and went flying back into the darklighter's chest.

The darklighter let out a small grunt before dark orbing away. Phoebe looked up the stairs to see the oldest Charmed One using the railing to hold herself up.

Leo ran to Wyatt and pulled him into his arms.

"I got you" he soothed. "I got you".

Phoebe smiled up at her sister who was supposed to be on bed rest.

"Thank you".

Prue let out a sigh of relief when she watched Chris get up from the floor untouched.

"No, thank you" she smiled. "Darklighter arrows are poisonous for all angelic beings".

Leo nodded.

"The question is, who was he after?" Piper asked, moving towards Wyatt and stroking his cheek. Leo wrapped his other arm around Piper and enjoyed the family embrace.

Paige turned her head towards Chris and grinned.

"There may be hope yet" she whispered quiet enough that only Phoebe and Chris heard.

"Prue, you're supposed to be in bed" Piper scolded lovingly.

"I know. I just haven't been able to contact Andy all day and I was worried when I heard the crashing".

Leo handed Wyatt to Piper and closed his eyes. Andy had been orbing in at an instant's notice ever since Prue's pregnancy became more complicated.

The family all went quiet knowing what Leo was trying to do. Leo concentrated for a good minute but was not able to find the Valhalla warrior.

His eyes opened and were instantly met with Prue's worried green eyes.

"I can't sense him". Leo whispered.

"Neither can I" she added, raking a hand through her hair.

"I'll find him" he assured her, looking back at Piper and Wyatt.

"What if the darklighter was after you?" Piper asked, taking Leo's hand in hers.

Leo grinned from Piper's touch.

"I can protect myself. You have to help hold down the fort here. We're down one Charmed One".
