For the entire time the Shepherds are heading back to Ylisse, I'll be progressing Robin and Say'ri's relationship as well as the relationship between them and their daughters, Severa included. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

After a day of traveling by horseback, the sun was close to setting and a nearby town was in sight. So it was decided that they would take a break in that town for the night. At the inn, Frederick was speaking to the innkeeper and when he finished he walked over to Chrom and Robin.

"Milord, we seem to have hit a slight snag." Frederick said. "This is the only inn in town and there aren't enough rooms to house all of the Shepherds. There IS enough for a pair in each room."

"I suppose you'd like to share a room with your wife, Panne?" Robin asked Frederick.

"I did not say such a thing, but I would like that." Frederick replied.

"I'll be sharing a room with Sumia." Chrom said.

"So out of all the married Shepherds the ones sharing the room would be Sully and Virion, Lissa and Vaike, Lon'qu and Olivia, Kellam and Miriel and Ricken and Nowi." Robin said. "Lucina and Cynthia can share a room."

"Father, can I share a room with Severa?" Morgan asked as she came into the inn and tugged on her father's sleeve.

"Of course, Morgan." Robin answered.

"Heh, you're already acting like a father." Chrom said. "By the way, who're you planning on sharing your room with?"

"Hm…" Robin pondered it for a moment.

"What about me, Robin?"

"Dah!" Robin exclaimed and jumped to find Tharja standing right behind him. "Tharja, when did you get here?"

"The same time as you." Tharja replied. "So Robin, shall we share a room together?"

"Um, see…" Robin had to think of something fast. "Henry!"

"You called?" Henry asked as he entered.

Robin knew that Henry had a crush on Tharja, so he tried to use that to his advantage.

"Listen, with the number of rooms in this inn we have to pair people." Robin said. "And I was thinking that you and Tharja should share a room."

"Ooh, we'll be slinging curses at each other all night!" Henry said. "This'll be fun!"

"Damn…" Tharja grumbled.

"But you still need someone to share a room with, Robin." Chrom said.

"Well, Rei'qu is my future daughter and she's the only one left." Robin said.

"I certainly don't think so, Robin." Tiki said as she approached them. "What about Say'ri?"

"H-huh?" Robin stammered.

"Rei'qu can share a bed with me for the night." Tiki said.

"My lady, Robin and I aren't even a couple." Say'ri interjected with an incredibly red blush on her face. "How could you insinuate something so… risqué?"

"I don't think she's asking you to sleep with me." Robin said.

"Isn't the whole reason we're staying at this inn is to sleep?" Say'ri questioned.

"Er, that's not what I meant by 'sleep'." Robin said. "We can still sleep, it's just… most other couples are going to be doing… other things."

"O-oh!" Say'ri's face became even redder. "I-I see what you mean now."

"Now you won't be surprised when you hear loud noises coming from Chrom and Sumia's room." Robin said.

"R-Robin!" Chrom exclaimed. "Don't just go telling people that!"

With bedtime in a mere matter of minutes, Robin and Say'ri were in their room, both of them lying on the bed facing away from each other and completely clothed. The awkwardness in the air was so thick that if one of them tried to cut it the blade would break. It didn't help that both of them were feeling incredibly warm, especially Robin since he still had his cloak on.

"… Are you still awake, Say'ri?" Robin asked.

"Aye…" Say'ri answered. "I can't fall asleep…"

"Me neither…" Robin said.

"… You can take your cloak off if it's too warm."

Without turning around to look at her, Robin took off his cloak and threw it onto the floor before lying back down in his original position. "Thanks, Say'ri."

"… Robin?"

"Hm?"

"Rei'qu and Morgan are our daughters from the future. Do you think… How do I say this?"

"There's no telling what the future may hold for us. The moment Lucina revealed herself, she may have changed more things than most people would think. It's still possible and I wouldn't object to it."

"Then… Tomorrow, shall we spend some time together?"

"Say'ri, are you asking me out on a date?"

"Y-you don't have to consider it like that if you don't want to."

"Actually… I like that idea."

"Really?"

"I should go let Chrom know. He'll understand."

Just as Robin got up, thumping sounds came from one of the rooms next to theirs and he froze where he was for a brief moment before sitting back on the bed.

"… Perhaps I'll just tell him well before we need to leave." Robin said.

The next morning, so early that the sun could barely be seen on the horizon, Chrom and Sumia were lying naked in their bed with their lower halves covered by the sheets. Chrom laid face-up and Sumia laid face-down with her face nuzzled in the pillow.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Chrom, honey, could you get the door please?" Sumia asked as she groaned in her sleep.

"What if it's Lissa?" Chrom asked. "Remember the last time she came to the door and I came up to her with my jewels hanging out? She burst out laughing so hard she fell and rolled all over the floor."

"Just ask who it is before opening it." Sumia said.

"… It was so obvious…" Chrom muttered to himself before walking to the door. "Who is it?"

"It's Robin." Robin's voice replied from the other side of the door.

"Hold on." Chrom said. "Sumia, stay face-down."

"Wait, you're letting him in?!" Sumia exclaimed as she shot out of the bed and reached for her clothes. "Why don't you just put on some pants and go outside?!"

She grabbed Chrom's pants and threw it right into his face. Once she finished gathering her clothes, she hid underneath the blankets to change as Chrom put on his pants and opened the door for Robin.

"Am I interrupting anything?" Robin asked.

"What do you want, Robin?" Sumia asked from under the blankets.

"I'm sorry to bring this up at the last minute." Robin said. "I wanted to ask you last night, but then I heard you two and I had to wait until morning. Say'ri asked me out on a date last night and I wanted to let you know as soon as possible."

"I'm afraid that's quite impossible." Frederick said as he appeared behind Robin as if completely out of nowhere.

"Frederick?!" Chrom exclaimed.

"We need to make it back to Ylisse posthaste." Frederick stated. "On top of searching for the remaining gemstone for the Fire Emblem, we don't have enough funds to keep the troops fed for an extra day."

"Frederick, Plegia gave us plenty of money for this campaign." Robin said. "I'm sure there's still plenty of money left over."

"Yes, but that's in the case of an emergency." Frederick said. "You courting a woman doesn't warrant such a distinction."

"In that case, why don't you spend the rest of the morning with the date?" Chrom suggested. "That way Frederick gets his way and you get yours. After all, we can handle things until we leave. Go out and have fun on your date."

"Thanks, Chrom." Robin said. "I'll let Say'ri know."

Robin left and Chrom just looked at Frederick.

"… Happy now?" Chrom asked.

"I suppose so." Frederick answered.

Since it was incredibly early in the morning, Robin and Say'ri didn't have many options for the first part of their date. So they decided to just go to the town square, sit on a bench and watch the sun rise. As the sun began to rise, they simply looked at each other's faces as the sunlight made their skin glow. Robin couldn't help but realize how beautiful Say'ri looked when that happened. Granted, he already thought she was beautiful, but the morning glow made it even more apparent to the tactician. Both of them had a smile on their faces as they looked at each other and continued to watch the sun rise.

About an hour later, they could hear the shops opening up and their reverie ended.

"I should have asked you this days ago, but…" Robin said hesitantly while scratching the back of his head. "How are you holding up? You know, after what happened with Yen'fay?"

"I no longer mourn for my dear brother." Say'ri said. "He can finally rest peacefully knowing that Valm is free from Walhart's grasp and I am in the company of dear friends. By the way, Robin, I've never asked you about your family."

"It's… kind of complicated. I don't remember anything before meeting Chrom, Lissa and Frederick over two years ago and the current ruler of Plegia is apparently my father. It doesn't help that he tried to kill Chrom and his sister Emmeryn during our war with Plegia."

"Fie, that DOES sound complicated."

"The weirdest thing about it is that he can talk to me through my mind somehow…"

"What's wrong, Robin?"

"I'm… just remembering something from a dream I had before Chrom found me."

"Do you mind telling me what it was?"

"… Chrom and I are fighting Validar and just when we have him beat… Chrom is killed… by my hand."

Say'ri gasped upon hearing this.

"But none of us in the Shepherds would let that happen. Promise me you won't tell anyone, especially Lucina. She loves her father and would do anything to protect him."

"Robin, you would never kill Chrom. Everyone in the Shepherds has seen how close you two are. You're almost like brothers. Whatever dream you may have had, it was but that. A dream."

"Thanks for having faith in me, Say'ri." Robin said. "We should probably regroup with Chrom. I bet they're all waiting for us as we speak."

Robin and Say'ri met back with the other Shepherds and they all continued marching off toward the eastern coast of Valm.

A/N: How many of you are excited for the new Fire Emblem game they're making for the 3DS? I know I am! Though I do admit that new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X looks freakin' awesome! Anyway, I'm going to be at an anime con during the last weekend of January and I plan to enter a Smash Bros. tournament that I hope to win as Robin… Unless I'm forced to play as Zero Suit Samus, Palutena, Lucina or Shulk. Wish me luck! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! Stay tuned for next time!
