SPECIAL AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is just a thank you to all the people who have supported me over the course of this project. I know many of you have read this story in its entirety and have not posted a single review. I know that many of you have as well. I also know that I am a horrible, unreliable, and horrendous uploader, and I sincerely thank you for sticking with my story despite that. CLANNAD is a special thing for me. It's a project that I intend to see to its conclusion.
This is not like my other stories (which I do intend to finish… eventually). CLANNAD is different. This endeavor to translate one of my all-time favorite anime into words has been a long, difficult and at times, tedious process. I have had to put down the pen and PC many times out of sheer frustration, but I always returned, because I love this series, and I love you, despite my unreliability as an uploader. This final chapter is not the conclusion to my CLANNAD project, nor will it be very long. I just ask that you read it and leave your thoughts on it.

Chapter 13
The Beginning of All Things
"Tomoya! Tomoya!"
I opened my eyes. Yagi handed me Ushio. Nagisa lay there, limp.
"Nagisa? Nagisa!"
She opened her eyes.
"Yes, Tomoya?"
"We're really together now, aren't we?" I asked, holding Ushio. Nagisa smiled.
"Of course! We promised didn't we? Together forever!"
I smiled, tears of joy overflowing. I gave Ushio her first bath, while Nagisa watched. Afterwards, I handed her Ushio. Nagisa sang Dango Daikazoku and I joined in, followed by Akio, then Sanae, then Yagi. I lay down beside Nagisa and Ushio, who was now asleep. I smiled at Nagisa, who smiled back, while stroking Ushio's fine hair.
"I love you, Nagisa," I whispered.
"I love you, too, Tomoya," she whispered back. I looked at Ushio,
Ushio. What a beautiful name.
