Takes place before the events of The Dragon Knight. Haunted by ghostly accusers, Po is left with no choice but to move out of the Panda Village and seek all the help he can get from the Valley of Peace, both in the Jade Palace and from other less savory sources. Bridges the gaps and continuity issues between the previous TV shows and The Dragon Knight.

Po and The Furious Five have defeated Lord Shen and liberated Gongmen City. Yet even with the fiery menace vanquished, whispers of a primeval evil beset the ancient city. The grip of the past swells in Master Crane, brought forth by the lingering menace of Lord Shen's terrible conquest. But the tides of fate grant a calamitous choice, one that could alter the path of China forever.

In a modern-day setting, Po lives with his amorous-driving step-sister that leaves him feeling inadequate. But things change when a blast from the past comes to help him and encourages Po to go on a journey he could never see before.

A new person named Momoda has caused a great stir on the southern end of the village, the worst place in the village. When Po and the Furious Five meet her, they find fighting her a challenge, both physically and emotionally.
