Searece asked for this back in January, goodness me. Please forgive my tardiness!
A lil' bit of little red from Jazz's POV, chapter 1. Doesn't really fit in with the main story (it'd break the flow) so I'm putting it here. I hope. You don't mind.
It was all going so well!
He could smell something so divine that he couldn't help but take a look at the creature that radiated the delectable scent. Crawling through the underbrush and climbing from tree to tree, Jazz followed his prey.
And by Primus was every scratch worth it.
The mech he found was beautiful, a black and white that complimented his own colours so well. Their doorwings twitched and fluttered, the red fabric that hung loosely from their body floating in the breeze that danced in the forest.
The mech walking beside him, however, looked very similar but it just didn't feel the same. Besides, he smelled no good.
He heard the distant rumble of a howl and quickly descended from the trees, crawling through the underbrush -
And straight into a trap.
No brambles grew like this naturally. His hands were bound, vine wrapping around his neck the way a noose would. Legs pinned, he had no way of escaping.
Just his luck.
He sighed, sagging slightly. He wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon.
The smell was getting closer.
So much so, that Jazz could feel the mech walking towards him. For a moment he thought that they knew where he was and were following him, but the thought was quickly shut down. They hadn't seen him.
They were tantalisingly close now, and Jazz couldn't stop himself from trying to reach out and touch him.
If only he weren't ensnared in a trap. All he succeeded in doing was making the brambles rustle and the mech turn around.
Jazz fell in love again. The mech's optics were a pale ice blue; so much so that they were almost white.
They turned around again, and Jazz had an idea of how to get out. Allowing his ears and tail to expose themselves, both features he had to thank the half moon above them for, he made a rustling noise again.
That certainly got their attention, and when they noticed the ears and tail they quickly moved towards Jazz, reaching into their subspace-
And removing an energon blade.
"Aw, frag." Was the first thing that came to Jazz's mind. He knew that the forest was a popular spot to hunt for animals, and it wouldn't have been the first time he had been attacked by a hunter.
Trying to not react when the winged mech pulled back the brambles, he couldn't stop his flinch when they brought the blade down towards him. Jazz had no way of escape and he knew it, completely trapped and at his mercy as he was.
Only, they did not hurt him and simply cut through the vines before siting back.
Now out of danger, fear bleeding away, the intoxicating smell of the mech was much more prominent, and everything began to get blurry.
Sorry it's so short.
