I just wanted to come out of hiatus to clarify a few things, especially after Winter came out a few weeks ago. (Absolutely perfect ending to a wonderful series btw :)
Anyways, I've been getting a few questions/comments regarding the story so I might as well answer them here.
Details about eye colour/plot/character development etc etc etc.
The Ghost Queen as most readers know is a pretty old story. I wrote this when the tlc fandom on fanfiction was still a super small community. If you would kindly look at the timestamp for this fic, I started writing a few months before Cress was published and finished it a few after months after Cress. I did not, and I do repeat, I did not read Fairest or Winter. They were not out or even close to being published at the time. Consequently, things like eye colour and plot in The Ghost Queen will, of course, diverge from canon. I did not have that information at the time and wrote in the details needed to complete the story. Hence the reason why it's a fanfiction and also why I am not the talented Marissa Meyer.
From when I first started I knew that my story would not be the same as what Ms. Meyer envisioned for the books and that is ok, it is a fanfiction. And yes, it has always been an AU or a headcannon. Whatever you prefer.
There were also readers who did not like the way Ginger was protrayed or thought Cinder was OOC. And you guys are right. They are not what I wanted them to turn out at all but there it is and it's way too late to change it now. Reading back on such old writing makes me cringe but I feel that these mistakes have made me more aware of what my writing had been and how far I have come since then.
Reading all your reviews always make me smile and each of them brighten my day considerably. (btw Mean Critic: I hope that you read this bc I love that you pointed out those things they were very helpful :)
