Hello! I'm sorry for not being around for you guys. This is kinda like a filler, since I don't know how to pass this day. Sorry! That being said, please enjoy this instalment of the next chapter!

Why am I so worried when I don't even want to care about her anymore? I thought. "This is really stupid," I answered aloud. "But don't you see? Blood is ever thicker than water," Nikolaus had said. That, apparently, is true. The battle has long since over, and dinner is, too. Everyone was worried by my poor performance today.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, MAGGOT? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET THE INTELLIGENCE TO THE BASE, AND YOU ONLY DID ONCE. DIDN'T YOU REMEMBER THE OTHER TWO?" barked Soldier the second he saw me. I was sitting at the rec room, lost in my own thoughts. "Come now, Solly. Give the lass a break," Demoman defended, quite sober. We'd won today because of the absence of Nikolaus in the other team. Medics were crucial, after all.

"You're hungry, Soldier. I'll whip something up for us tonight, then." Engineer added. Soldier would've given me a box in the ear if it weren't for the two. Now, I'm sitting on a tree some distance away from the base, hoping to find some time alone, and clear my mind. Resting my head at the trunk, a voice said, "I would expect you to be here, and here you are, sitting on the tree,"

Based on the English laced with a particular French dialect, it should be Spy. "Well, what is it, Spy?" I said, not wanting to come down from the tree. "You remind me a lot of the Bushman, sitting on the tree like that," Spy replied. "Come on down, it is getting late." "No." I guessed he would say that. "I wouldn't risk my suit to come up to get you, for your information. So, please do me a favour and come down, please. Also, it is dangerous."

"It's because I knew you wouldn't climb up here, and that I chose this place. If it were any other guys, I think only Scout, Sniper and maybe Engineer would climb up here. Soldier would've cut the tree down and Pyro would burn it down." I analysed.

"Well, you would think I never considered that. Demoman would have been too drunk, and maybe Medic would climb up. Don't get me started on Heavy. He's going to shake the tree until you fell like an apple from an apple tree." He added. "What's with all the metaphors?" I said sarcastically.

"Very funny. Now, mon ami. Get down from the tree." Spy ordered. "Don't you understand? Fine. No, non, nein, nyet, não, 不要-"

"I see you know a lot of languages, but please do come down. Do you want me to call Pyro so he can burn this tree down?" Spy is losing patience. "You're afraid of Pyro," I egged him on, laughing inwardly. "Who said that?" Spy responded, blushing still managing to be calm. Maybe that's his weakness, and he's scared because I knew. Ha ha. "Anyway, I'm going to tell Medic to give you an injection, then." He challenged.

I must not let him know about Nikolaus! "Fine, I'll come down." I jumped down from the tree. "Aha, you are a trypanophobe! Off to tell everyone!" Spy acted as though childish. "Nope, I don't have trypanophobia. I'm a master of acupuncture." I bragged. "But, you came down anyway. That is what counts." He chuckled. "Do you want me to climb up the tree again?" I retorted. "Then I would get Medic."

"Alright. You win." I'm giving in for you, Nikolaus. I complained in my head. As we walked back to the base, "Why is that you didn't perform better today? Were you pressured because of the addition of the REDs?" was all Spy asked. "Really? No way. That would've been stupid." Truth to be told, I was mildly surprised because my own mother was in the enemy team. And my brother too, if I may add. But I couldn't possibly tell Spy that, could I?

"But you weren't in the battle right after the first intelligence was delivered, did you not?" Spy replied. "Listen, Spy, it's complicated, and I can't tell you about it. I'm sorry." I said. Spy snorted. "But are you aware that the RED Medic isn't in their midst?" Speak of the devil. Did he find out? "Um, I am, but I thought the new one substituted him?"

"Indeed they did. But why would he vanish all of a sudden?" "Excuse me, Spy? How would I know that?" A chill went down my spine. If he'd known that Nikolaus was in our base, Medic and I could be called traitors. "Where did you go yesterday after dinner, Zelda?" Spy suddenly said with a sharp tone. "I was chilling with Sniper. Is that what you want to know?" I answered, trying to keep calm.

"Yes. Thank you for answering." His expression was unreadable. We continued to the base without another word. I was worried about Nikolaus. As we walked into the rec room, everything looked normal. Playing cards, drinking alcohol, or watching the sports channel. No one seemed to notice us when we passed. "Zelda, I shall retire to my room for today. Thank you for spending time with me." Spy said, and walked away. Scout approached and asked, " Zel, what were you doing with Spy out there?" "Oh, nothing. I was chilling on a tree. Until Spy interrupted, anyways." I answered. "Oh, a'ight." He said. "G'night then." "Yeah, you too."

I walked to the Medibay and opened the heavy doors. Or they seemed heavy today. Dad was checking on Nikolaus's shoulder. "Well, it should be alright in a few more days." I heard him say in German. "But the problem is that I'm worried that my team is wondering where I am, especially that double agent Spy." "Our Spy or your team's Spy?" "Both." They haven't noticed me yet. "Quite so. But I don't see anything suspicious about both of them. What are you going to do once you return?" "Maybe they will still let me in, and probably will be suspicious about me?"

"No. Our Spy already started suspecting us." They tensed and saw me leaning at the closed doors. "Zelda? How long have you been here?" they asked at the same time. "Just came back a few seconds ago." I answered. "Where have you been?" they asked again. "I was chilling outside until Spy spotted me." Come on, how many times do I need to answer that? "Really, what did that old fox say?" Dad asked.

"About last evening on meeting Niko. Well, I didn't really say that." I answered. "Thank the gods," Nikolaus said. "But, he already suspects us. Maybe he's asking Sniper right now. Hopefully he doesn't spill the beans."

So that is it. I don't know when the next chapter will be, but as you would probably know, I would end it as soon as possible. Please leave reviews! Love you all!
