Park - 4:30pm

Standing in the middle of the park outside the police station, Jill was leaning up against a tree looking up to the sky, watching the clouds slowly move by. She was broken from her thoughts by a deep familiar voice

"Hi Jill, how you holding up kid?"

"Hey Barry. Im good, just getting some fresh air before heading in" smiled Jill

"Thought you had a few days off?" asked Barry confused.

"Yeah i just have a couple of papers to sign off in the office"

"You're not supposed to be anywhere near the office Jill, you know that. I can bring whatever you need to you"

"What's everyone's problem today?"

"What you mean?" asked Barry

"Never mind" sighed Jill walking towards the station "See ya inside"

Jill made her way across the park via the police station and entered. Standing at the entrance Jill looked around seeing officers and other staff busying themselves with whatever duties they were set. With a sign she made her way to the S.T.A.R.S office.

Jill listened through the door before entering and then quietly peered in to make sure the office was empty. It was so she entered. Making her way up to the head desk, Jill searched through David's papers looking for the files on her dads case. Jill scooped up what she could quickly and left.

S.T.A.R.S Office - 7:30pm

A few hrs after Jill left the station Claire, Carlos and Rebecca arrived back and made there way up to the office chatting with officers they knew on the way. Entering the office they say David and Barry looking puzzled at David's desk.

"What's up old guys?" Smiled Claire giving Barry a bear hug. Barry had been like a dad to Claire and Chris. David scowled at her joke while Barry laughed.

"We don't have time for jokes Redfield. All our case files on the Valentine case have went missing"

"What? How could they just go missing?" asked Claire

"It's obvious some ones been in here" Said Carlos stating the obvious.

"Um.."

"What is it Barry?" Asked Rebecca

"Ah nothing just confused is all" Lied Barry.

"Im going down to security to view the CCTV, see who was last in here" said David storming out.

"Rebecca can i talk to you for a second?" asked Barry

"Sure" Replied Rebecca following him outside the office giving a wave to Claire and Carlos.

Outside the office and around the corner out of the camera view Barry leaned up against the wall looking worried.

"Whats wrong Barry?"

"I need you to find Jill. I don't know what's going on with her but she was in the office earlier. Told me she was going up to retrieve files she needed to complete from a previous case. You need to find her before David does and find out what's going on. It's not looking good on her and i have a feeling she's going to need our help. She's not been herself recently.." explained Barry.

"She knows she wasn't supposed to be anywhere near our office, why would she..."

"I don't know, thats what you need to find out. She will listen to you kid, more than anyone else. I will try hold up David for as long as i can"

"Ok, i will be in touch when i know anything" sighed Rebecca. What had Jill got herself into. Barry nodded and gave Rebecca's arm a reassuring squeeze. Rebecca made her way down to the pay phones in the station and phoned the hospital Jill's dad was in to find out if she was there. She was not. Rebecca decided to make her way to Jill's house.

Jill's Apartment - 9:40

Sitting on her sofa Jill looked through the case files she taken, reading the eye witness statements. They hadn't arrested everyone that night, eye witness say there was also a female who left an hour after the men. Jill was startled by a knock at her door. Slipping the files under her sofa she got up and answered her door to see a confused and angry Rebecca staring at her.

"Where are they Jill?" Rebecca asked storming into Jill's apartment.

"Am i supposed to know what your looking for?"

"Why were you at the office?"

"I had a few case files to finish, had to do them today as tonight was the deadline. Coffee?"

"Dont change the subject. So where are these case files?"

"Done and handed in" Smiled Jill handing Rebecca a coffee.

"Look, the files on your dads case have went missing and right now you were the last one to have been in there. David is currently going through CCTV"

"And he will see me going in with nothing and leaving with my files. I have nothing to hide Becky. I did not touch they files and i will tell David so"

"What's going on with you Jill? Something's different"

"I'm just tired is all. I haven't slept much, dads got his surgery tomorrow2 Sighed Jill taking Rebecca's hand and leading her over to the sofa. The 2 girls sat down

"You know you can talk to me Jill? About anything. I love you and i'm here for you"

"I know Becky" Smiled Jill pulling Rebecca close to her for a kiss "Come to bed?"

"Sure" Smiled Rebecca.

Jill's Apartment - 1am

Jill turned her head to look at the clock on her nightstand, 1am. Looking at the sleeping form of her lover, Rebecca sleeping soundly, Jill untangled herself from her and sat on the edge of the bed turning to admire the naked form of her partner. With a small sad smile Jill pulled on some clothes, gave Rebecca a gentle kiss, leaving an envelop with a note under Rebecca's pillow.

"Help me.." Whispered Jill very lightly tears welling up in her eyes.

Sneaking into the lounge area Jill picked up her phone dialling a number.

"I have the files you requested. Im leaving now"

With that Jill hung up the phone and grabbed the files before leaving.
