Tormented
Location Unknown - 5:30am
Sitting in the middle of nowhere Jill gripped the steering wheel of her car tightly scanning the area for any movement. She was only sitting for half an hr before a knock at her car window startled her
"Miss Valentine, open the door and slowly exit the vehicle with your hands in the air" said a muffled sounding voice. Jill swallowed hard and done as she was told. The person giving her orders was dressed all in black with a gas mask, behind were several others with guns aimed at her.
"Turn and place your hands on top of the car" the voice demanded. Again Jill did as she was told. One of the other members of the unknown team came forward and searched Jill from top to bottom.
"She's clean sir"
"Where are the papers Miss Valentine?"
"In the car, passengers seat. I done as you asked, now let me go, leave my family alone and keep up your end of the deal"
"Sorry Miss Valentine, i don't have the authority. Our orders stand. You're coming with us" the voice informed her. It was then Jill felt a needle enter her neck, last thing she remembered was falling to the ground and everything went black, voices fading..
Jill's Apartment - 7:00am
Rebecca woke with a fright at the sound of banging at the door. Wiping her eyes she looked at the other side of the bed to find Jill gone. Confused Rebecca threw on some joggers and a vest top and answered the door.
"Hey Rebecca can we come in?" Chris asked
"Uh sure, come on" the girl replied. Chris, David, Barry, Claire all entered Jill's small apartment.
"Where's Jill?" David asked
"I have no idea, she was here all night and when you guys woke me now she was gone" replied Rebecca while putting on a pot of tea and coffee. The members of the team looked at each other.
"Her dads due his surgery today, the hospital was the first place we went. She hasn't been there" Claire said sitting next to Rebecca
"And she was the last one seen enter and exit the office on CCTV when our documents went missing" sighed David
"And you think Jill.."
"No Rebecca we aren't accusing her of anything but if she's caught up in something she's going to need our help. Look i love Jill, we were partners for years, i would do anything to help her. I know as much as you she wouldn't do anything she didn't have to. We just need to know the when, who, why and how's of it all. Did she say anything that may give us a start?" asked Chris sitting at the other side of Rebecca holding her hand.
"Nothing, she hasn't been herself as you all would have noticed. Last night she just seemed so.. Sad? Kind of like she was here but not here? I should have done more, i should have pushed her to tell me" replied Rebecca putting her head in her hands holding back the tears.
"Jill's stubborn Kid, she wouldn't have gave in that easy. Once her minds set there is no changing things" comforted Barry kneeling in front of Rebecca
"Rebecca, do you mind if we have a look around? Maybe we can find something here that could help?" David asked.
"Sure" Nodded Rebecca standing up.
"Come on Becky, we'll take the bedroom" Claire smiled Rebecca nodded and led Claire to Jill's bedroom while the rest of the team searched the rest of the apartment.
Claire and Rebecca turned Jills bedroom upside down looking for anything that could help. Nothing at all. With a sigh Rebecca sat on the edge of the bed. Claire turned to look at her friend and team mate.
"Hey, we all love Jill, and we wont stop until we find her, i promise" Claire tried reassuring her friend who just sighed and lay down on the bed hugging her pillow, tears streaming down her face. Claire sadly looked at her broken friend and left the room to see if the guys came across anything.
Claire looked over at the group of men huddled at the computer and made her way over.
"Whats up?"
"Jill's computer, there is a folder here, 'project nemesis'. However it's locked with a password. Nemesis was the monster Jill mentioned that was sent to destroy S.T.A.R.S. " David responded.
"Let me see" said Claire nudging David off the chair. After tapping a couple of keys the folder opened up with loads of encrypted files "This could take a while, but i can crack it, put the kettle on" Claire said cracking her fingers and tapping at keys.
Unknown Location -11am
Voices, loads of muffled voices is what Jill could hear. Slowly here eyes started opening, her vision a but blurry for a few seconds. She tried to lift her hands to wipe her eyes but couldn't move. As Jills vision slowly cleared up she took in her surroundings. She was in some sort of lab, strapped to an operating table.
"Ah your awake Miss Valentine. We were hoping to be done by the time you woke.."
"Who.. Who are.. You? What do.. Do you want"
"Im doctor Bell and we have what we want. You. This will hurt" smiled the doctor injecting some red like fluid into Jill's vein on her wrist. Jill squirmed and screamed in pain as she felt the burning sensation going through her veins. While fluid was going through 1 arm another doctor was drawing blood from the other arm adding to her pain. Jill could feel the tears running down her face no longer able to hold them back.
"Stop... Please... Rebecca help..."Cried Jill before losing conscious from all the trauma.
A man and a woman standing behind a glass window, watching, listening and enjoying the S.T.A.R.S members agony with a smile. The man turned to the woman.
"Stop the camera and send the footage to my former friends. With a little message if they wish to keep Jill alive"
The woman nodded and did as she was told while the man turned to a camera monitor watching the team round Jill's computer and another watching Rebecca reading a letter.
"I see Jill left a souvenir. Smart, but not smart enough" smirked the man
Jill's Apartment - 11:15am
Rebecca ran out of Jill's room to her team mates more upset than before. Barry ran over to meet her as she collapsed to the floor in tears holding a note.
"Rebecca.. What's.." Barry was cut short as Rebecca handed him the note, Barry read it out loud as Chris and Claire helped Rebecca to the sofa.
"Rebecca, if you are reading this then things are going to get worse for me. Im sorry i haven't been honest to you and the rest of the team. I just didn't know how to explain. It all started a month ago, i was waking up, feeling nauseous , light headed, kind like cold and flu like symptoms. It wasn't long after that i started coughing, but not a normal cough. Would only happen now and again but i was bringing up blood whenever the cough occurred. I turned to a family friend, someone i trusted, Caleb. He worked for a really good scientist and said he could help me. They were given samples of the nemesis virus and the anti virus.
Caleb said it was just to learn more about the virus encase it was to ever escape again. He said the animals had started bringing up blood as well after the anti virus was administered and died 3 months after the first cough of blood. He said the company he worked for could help me. He betrayed me, sold me out and now i'm stuck, i need to do as they say or they will kill my dad the next time. That was just a warning. Dad had some important information they couldn't risk him telling you. Which is why i tried to stop and took the statements. I have encrypted all the information on my computer, i'm sure Claire would have cracked my password by now, she's smart. The encrypted files can be opened by certain keystrokes, i have written the order on a note inside the fridge under a milk carton.
These files have really important information on the Nemesis Virus, it has everything you need to know to make a cure, one that works. It's too late for me but others can be saved if they release this virus again. Only you would understand the virus properties, you know science, your smart and i know you can figure it all out. Put the pieces together.
I don't know when things started to get messed up, im just so sorry ive dragged you into this. Nowhere was safe for me. Even here.. They have camera's, they have been watching.
I have to go now. I do love you, always have, always will. Keep smiling Becky, for me"
"Son of a bitch!" yelled Chris punching a hole in Jill's wall making everyone jump.
"Barry radio Leon & Carlos to interrogate Caleb again, this time, i don't care how they do it, by the book or not, i want that information on Jill and this scientist. Chris, Barry, you 2 head back to the station, get us a team together and brief them ready to move out as soon as we have a location. Claire get that not and get the information off Jill's computer that we need. Rebecca, i know you're upset and this is really hard for you, but we need your help. If what Jill says is right about that virus we need you in the labs. You will be in charge of the whole project, whatever you need staff will be at your beck and call." said David holding Rebecca's hand " We will find Jill and we will save her"
Rebecca wiped her tears and nodded.
"Come on kid, we will take you" said Barry putting an arm around her. They were all interrupted by Claire's voice
"Oh shit..."
"What?" asked David
"You guys have to see this"
The team made there way over to Jill's computer. They wouldn't believe what they saw. A message came through on Jill's computer, blank screen with a woman's seductive voice
"We believe you have followed this far enough. This is your one and only final warning to stop. Stop digging. You must release Caleb and his friends, you have 30minuets to do so. We can do this the easy painless way or the hard painful way, you decide. While you make that choice just remember, it won't be you at the receiving end, this will give you a preview, Miss Valentine betrayed us, thinking she could leave love letters without us knowing? Foolish, that was her first mistake. Any more mistakes won't be taken lightly"
The group watched as a video played of Jill on a hospital bed in a lab screaming in pain as she was being injected "Stop... Please... Rebecca help..." was the last thing the team heard before Jill lost consciousness. The video stopped and another popped up, in the top right hand corner was the words 'live'. On the screen was a dark, damp and rusted looking room with a dim light in the centre and some chains hanging from the ceiling.
"Rebecca maybe you should..."
"No!" Rebecca interrupted Claire "I need to see, i need to see her alive at least" cried Rebecca. Claire nodded as the team nervously watched. Although it seemed like hours had passed it was only a couple of minuets before there was movement on screen. 3 masked men dragging Jill's limp body passed the camera, 2 holding her up as the other secured Jill's wrists to the shackles dangling from the ceiling.
"You have 30minuets to comply" said a robotic voice as a count down timer popped up next to the live feed.
"Shit!" shouted Chris "Claire can you trace where the signal of where the camera is coming from?"
"I could try but if they are watching... Jill could be in danger"
"We need to disconnect the camera's in here, ive already requested a team to do so" said David
"Are you crazy? They have Jill, she could be in trouble if we cut the camera's"
"I understand your concern Chris but that's a chance we have to take. They only wanted there men released they said nothing about camera's"
"And what about Caleb and his gang?" asked Claire
"They stay as they are for now" sighed David looking at Jill
"On no no no.. If you think i'm going to sit here and watch them torture my best friend, your wrong" shouted Claire standing up and getting in David's face.
"Stand down Miss Redfield. Rebecca get to the labs, Barry and Chris get a squad ready, thats an order" said David taking authority
That was the last thing David remembered before hitting the floor
"Redfield's don't take orders" Yelled Claire kneeling over him and grabbing him by the shirt after smacking him in the face with a fist causing his nose to bleed "We are going to play along for the time being to buy us more time to find a location and get Jill out of there without any injury"
Chris, Barry and Rebecca all smirked
"That's my little sister" whispered Chris to Barry and Rebecca
Unknown Location - 1:10pm
Jill slowly opened her eyes very aware of the burning pain still flowing through her. The room she was in was freezing. Her legs felt so weak she could hardly stand on them and was being held up mostly by the chains around her wrists. Looking next to her Jill saw some papers, needles and other sharp objects. Jill didn't even want to think what they were there for. Jill closed her eyes and tried to remember what they had done to her. Through all her pain she remembered being inserted with something and felt whatever it was inside of her. Sleep, all she wanted to do was sleep and rest.
Jill's apartment - 1:20pm
Claire radio beeped as she watched Jill on the live cam wishing there was something she could do. Her friend was awake but was in obvious pain. Chris, Barry and Rebecca all peering over her shoulder
"Claire here, go ahead"
"Claire it's Leon, the stations computers were playing up, we are running a little behind schedule"
"We can't run behind schedule Leon! We have to make the deadline!"
"We are going as fast as we can to get them all signed out, it would be quicker if David phoned to authorise there release"
"David can't talk right now, he has a fat lip" replied Claire scowling at David.
"What?" asked Leon confused
"I will do it" David said to Claire holding ice to his bloody face.
"Fine, Leon here's David" said Claire throwing the radio at him and looking back at a distressed Jill.
At that moment a few doctors entered the room Jill was in.
"Something's happening" said Claire as her and the team watched.
Unknown Location - 1:26pm
Jill looked up as she saw some doctors come in and make there way over to her.
"Please no more..." cried Jill
"Well that's down to your friends isnt it? You got them involved Miss Valentine when you left them your note.. Yes, we know about that"
"Why don't you just kill me already"
"We don't want to do that Miss Valentine, where would be the fun in that" laughed the doctor standing up and fingering around the instruments next to Jill. While another doctor rolled in a machine.
"I'm not going to lie Miss Valentine, this is going to hurt, again but it has to be done. You will be glad to know your friends complied to our terns, so they can't blame themselves for what's about to happen" Smiled the doctor as he made a incision on Jill's abdomen just above her pubic bone, Jill screamed in pain until one of the doctors came from behind her placing a gag around her mouth.
"Silence Miss Valentine, you'll wake up your neighbours" smirked the doctor enjoying the pain he was inflicting. The doctor inserted a long tube with something small on front of it into the incision and pressed a couple of keys on the machine before pulling it back out.
"There you go, wasn't that bad now was it? Over and done with" Smiled the doctor and another doctor took over and stitched up Jill's incision very recklessly. After the doctors had left Jill spat out the gag that was held round her to stop her screaming and let out a very painful cry dangling from the chains that held her up as she was too weak to stand on her feet.
Jill's Apartment - 1:45pm
David sat in horror at what they just saw, Rebecca inconsolable on the floor with Barry, Claire and Chris surrounding her and trying to comfort her as best they could. They knew though no matter what they said to Rebecca, Jill was in danger, they had to get her out of there. Letting Caleb go was all for nothing and now they have no idea where to start.
Police Station - 2:35pm
While Claire and Rebecca stayed at Jill's to monitor the live feed and try to find it's location, the 3 men headed back to the office to do some research on the files Claire unlocked.
"Hey guys, come look at this" Carlos shouted "Nemesis Project - Rebirth. Given the power and success of the Nemesis we find it worth while experimenting further. Imagine an army with such powerful weapons, we could start a new world, a new breed. We can do this by inserting the female host with fluid from the original nemesis subject. Our problem is our female hosts die 3 days after insemination.
Thats where Miss Valentine comes in, she was infected via a worm type parasite by the original nemesis. Nemesis was ordered to kill but instead he spared Miss Valentine, why? Did he see her as a potential host for his offspring? We have to explore this further. My boss has found this of interest and has gave me the permission to proceed. He has sent a team to meet Miss Valentine and bring her to us to start procedures"
"Oh my god.. We have to get her out of there... The crazy bastards are going to try and breed using Jill" A shocked Barry stated.
"I think i know where to start" said Leon "Caleb gave us a lot of details before we let him go. He was mumbling about a field just outside the city not far from an abandoned asylum. Something about a meeting point. Maybe that's where Jill was taken?"
"It's a start, Chris, Barry, Ark, Leon, make your way there, search every fielded area out with the city and dont come back until you find something, Carlos inform Rebecca and Claire of what we found out, i'm going to fill the chief in on what's going on" with that said David rushed out of the office.
Jill's Apartment - 3:25pm
Claire was keeping an eye on the camera feed while trying to determine it's location. She jumped a bit as her radio beeped
"Claire, Carlos here. Have some news but it's not good. Is Rebecca there?"
"She's asleep on the sofa, poor girl cried herself to sleep" said Claire looking over at the shaking girl on the sofa.
"Ok it may be best if you break the news to her rather than me over the radio. So we went through some of these files you unlocked and there was information on the Nemesis Project, long story short they want to breed a line of Nemesis offspring but all the sujects they have experemented on have died not long after insemination.. Well because Nemesis did not kill Jill but infected her they think..."
"She will be a suitable host" said Rebecca walking over giving Claire a fright.
"Yeah Rebecca, im sorry"
"Shit, thats not good, we have to find her" Claire said.
"Thanks to Leon we now know where to start Chris, Barry, Leon and Ark are all away to check the lead out. Rebecca there is a lot of science terms, DNA strands and things like that in these files. We could be doing with you in the labs trying to make sense of it all, i can come and pick you up"
"Ok.." Rebecca reluctantly said looking at her girlfriend dangling from chains looking extremely pained and drained.
"Have you had any luck Claire with the live camera location?"
"They have scrambled the signal"
"Ok well keep at it, i will be there soon to pick up Rebecca"
Unknown Location - 4:05pm
Jill was brought out of her line of thinking with the noise of someone coming into the room
"Oh god please not again, i can't take anymore" cried Jill
"Ssshh" a woman said approaching Jill, placing a finger on her chin and raising her head. Jill looked at the woman, short dark hair
"Who are you?"
"Doesn't matter who i am, lets just say we have a mutual friend and enemy. Here, drink" the woman said putting the small plastic cup to Jill's mouth, Jill tried to drink as quickly as she could feeling really dehydrated but started coughing bringing up some blood "Slowly Miss Valentine, slowly" Jill complied slowly finishing the contents. Jill jumped at the sound of banging coming towards her room, her heart racing. "Relax darling" giving Jill a reassuring smile. 4 men entered the room dressed with gas masks, with them a hospital type bed and a bag with sheets and covers and left. The woman stood up and walked behind Jill running her hands gently up Jill's arms and releasing them from the shackles, Jill collapsed into the woman's arms not having the energy to stand.
"Sshh" said the woman stroking Jill's hair and helping her to lay on the bed. Jill felt herself nodding off to sleep, it was the only little comfort she had since getting there.
"Going soft are we Miss Wong?" asked the doctor that was taking so much joy in Jill's pain.
"I have my reasons" Ada replied
"Does the boss know your making our subject feel a bit more at home? I'm sure he will be pleased" Smirked the doctor walking up to Jill and swinging her around to a sitting position. Ada leaned up against a wall watching him "Such beauty, i almost, just almost feel bad for all your pain" said the doctor running his hand over Jill's stomach and down to her abdomen incision and giving it a squeeze making Jill yell out in pain. Jill felt helpless, she could hardly hold her head up never mind defend herself from this lunatic. She just kept praying the lady who gave her the water would stay to help.
"Please help" Jill quietly cried
"I'm sorry my darling i've done my part" shrugged Ada and made her way to the door turning to look at the doctor who was getting his pleasure out of Jill's pain. Walking outside and standing at the window watching with her boss.
"We have to cut him loose, he's losing it" Ada said with a frown
"I dunno, i think he has the right idea, can't have pleasure without a little pain" he said turning to Ada and whispering in her ear, giving it a tug with his teeth.
"Oh Albert you do know how to get a woman worked up" Moaned Ada enjoying the sensation
"But your right, he's done" with that Wesker entered Jill's room and grabbed the crazy doctor by the throat and pinning him against the wall "I don't like anyone playing with my toys" Whispered Wesker to the doctor and throwing him to the floor.
"Take him away" Ada ordered the guards and entering the room looking at Jill slumped over the bed. "They are going to come for her you know that right?"
"Oh yeah i'm counting on it. By that time though we will have all the data we need and Miss Valentine will be free to mother her child all going to plan" smirked Wesker "As for us" Wesker pulled Ada close to him "We will be long gone" he whispered pulling Ada tighter kissing her neck knowing she likes the pain with pleasure. Ada hungrily kissed him and left the room knocking Jill's camera off on the way out but not before giving a smirk and a wink through it knowing she was being watched.
Jill's Apartment - 5:15
"Wow, what just happened there?"
"Wesker..." Snarled Rebecca
"Never mind him, whos the hot looking woman making out with him" smirked Carlos which earned him an elbow on each side from Rebecca and Claire "Owwww okay, no jokes i get it"
"The woman is Ada Wong, Leon met her during the outbreak in Raccoon City.."
"Carlos? Leon here, you there? Claire was interrupted by Carlo's radio
"Yeah Carlos here go ahead"
"We have found Jill's car, we need you to get Rebecca and Claire and meet us. I'm sending the location to your GPS now"
"Leon, it's Claire" Claire said snatching Carlo's radio.
"Go ahead Claire"
"There has been more activity on the camera. Jill has been given water and a bed by a woman.. Leon it's Ada. We don't know her involvement in this but she did help Jill out of those chains.."
"And made out with that Wesker dude, sooo hot man" Joked Carlos. Claire slapped him upside the head.
"Wesker?" Claire heard her brother shout from the other radio
"Look we can discuss all this when we get there. Claire out" Claire looked at Carlos and Rebecca "I'll drive, lets go"
Rebecca and Carlos gave each other a wary look, they have both experienced Claire's insane driving.
Unknown Location - 7pm
Jill woke to severe pains in her stomach. She had no idea how long she had been out for she just knew something wasn't right, her stomach felt like it was going to explode, cramping up and tight.
"Nice to see you awake" said the woman who helped her earlier "You will be glad to know we have decided to let you go home. See it as a good gesture for your pain" Ada walked over to Jill's bed "Your in for a tough few months darling" Ada said running her hand lightly over Jill's abdomen "but it will all be worth it and if your lucky you may even live through it"
"What have you done to me?" Asked Jill gripping her stomach in pain
"I'm sure your friends have worked that out by now to fill you in. We will find you in 6 months time, don't try to hide, we have spies everywhere and will find you. Smiled Ada running her fingers through Jill's hair as she felt a sharp pin like pain in her arm. Last thing Jill remembered before the sedative took over was Ada's smiling face.
Outskirts Of the City -1:40am
Rebecca's heart was racing as she heard Chris shout out for help. Rebecca and the rest of the team ran over to Chris' position, they had been searching for nearly 7hrs with no clues. As they approached Chris they could hear him radio for emergency air ambulance. Rebecca ran faster towards him and fell to her knees next to Jill's bruised and bloodied body, shaking her and pleading for her to wake up. Jill did not respond as Rebecca laid her head against Jill's chest listening to her heart beat as she cried, not leaving her side for a second as she left with Jill and the air ambulance to the hospital.
