Chapter 8:

"Squad Battle part.2"

-Freshmen's base –

All the thirty six freshmen was having their lunch after they finished their work, the situation wasn't of that silent and gloomy one but the opposite. Their leader smiled at them, his lunch had long finished. His brown eyes darted around to his thirty five subordinates that were staying there and stopped at certain red-haired boy and aqua blue haired boy. The kids really surprised them just now, Akashi or maybe he should call him Akashi-sama because he was from the noble?

Tanaka chuckled at his own thought, both of them were really amazing though. Akashi could think of a way of welcoming them in such a short time and Kuroko who found the materials needed in the forest quickly. Kuroko was also the one who told them where the nearest location of water from their place.

Well, the welcoming was ready now even if it's just a simple one since they didn't have enough time also things needed to prepare a big one. They also weren't sure if it was going to help much but since they tried, they felt kind of satisfied and that was a good development. 'At least there's no gloomy thought about facing the strongest combat squat anymore.', that was what that made Tanaka very relieved.

While Tanaka was thinking over those things and while the others were happily enjoying their lunch, Kuroko and Akashi looked up at the sky, exactly at the south-east direction. " I hope the ten of them are okay.", Kuroko mumbled sincerely.

Akashi hummed slowly, " I think Ryota, Daiki, Shintarou and Atsushi are doing well, though I'm not sure about the other six."

" Why do you chose to have ten peoples move forward, Seijuurou-kun? ", Kuroko thought it was enough to just send off his four friends because he was sure they were gladly to face the enemy and were also capable to face them.

" This is our battle together, Tetsuya. We ,the freshmen, fight together here. We can't afford to let only the four of them do it. Letting all of them decide themselves whether they want or not is one way too, to be fair. It will be better if we could strengthen the team's bond in this battle, right? ", Akashi looked over to where the others were gathering and chatting happily.

Kuroko followed Akashi's gaze and smiled, "You're right, Seijuurou-kun. I didn't think so far."

Akashi smiled and looked back up to the sky, even though he didn't say it directly but he was worried too. He chose ten peoples because he was certain that was the most number out of people here that would want to try advancing to their enemy base, he didn't just say that amount randomly. From what he observed in the training these three days, the ten volunteers that came out weren't bad.

Maragi Kita, Gran Verdick, Maguchi Hiroma, those three were perfoming good at the training. Tanaguchi Hans and Miyaba Reino were better than the three of them. And the last one, Kagami Taiga. In these last two days, there wasn't any training using the real sword. Most of it were about their physic and he was perfoming really well, he even rivaling with Daiki.

It was a good thing that this battle used wooden sword, in which Akashi sure wouldn't hold up the other boy's performance at all. Instead, Akashi thought that Kagami would show his real true skill here in a real battle with a strong opponent using wooden sword.

He would like to see it with his own eyes but he had a big responsibility here, it was to protect their leader and ensure their victory.

" Seijuurou-kun.", Akashi was out from his thought and looked at Kuroko who looked so serious and he immediately got the signal. " Everyone.", Akashi called loud enough for only them to hear.

"Hey, look. There are two Generation of Miracles there.", from behind the forest came a low whispers. " Their leader is there." "Hah, they sure have a good time hm? Eating so happily like that." "Do they keep staying alert until they couldn't hold their hunger and decide to eat now?" "Hahaha, such a pity. We didn't even think much of the strategy. After deciding our base, we ate our lunches and whoever done could go first"

" Can all of you shut up?", those low whispering died down instantly and they turned their attention to the seven peoples who just arrived on their place. Their gaze turned to a man with short spiky silver hair that didn't reach his ears, a pair of round amethyst eyes and a dragon tattoo on his left-side neck.

" Ohh… You are quick, we departed sooner than you just now.", one of them remarked.

" You're making some noises and they are being too loud.", the silver-haired man answered calmly, his eyes wondering to their enemy base. He noticed the sudden silence over there, even though he couldn't grasp completely what was happening there.

" Nee nee, that red-haired and blue-haired over there. They are the Generation of Miracles, right?", Luka poked the knight beside him and after earning a short nod, he shrieked in excitement. " Finally~"

While his other subordinates were making unnecessary noise around him, the silver-haired man was still looking at their opponent's group at the front. They were total thirty six men along with the leader while his side had twenty men along with him. So they indeed spent more peoples on their base like what he assumed. According to what he knew from his captain the freshmen was consisted of 46 peoples, so they only sent ten peoples to aim for their flag.

'Uh?', the silver-haired man stiffened when a pair of red eyes turned to look at his direction. ' There's no way that he had realized our presence here. But he was indeed looking to our direction.', the silver man smirked. " Minna, seems like they already know we're here."

All of them looked at the direction of the base where all their opponents had stood up and all looked at their direction. The silver-haired man stood out from his hiding, followed by his other nineteen comrades.

" Sharp instincts as always, Akashi-sama.", the silver-haired remarked calmly.

Akashi smiled, "You praised me too much, Geneda-san. Your comrades are making too much noises."

Most of the freshmen were surprised at the mention of the name. Geneda Kidaru, the second son of the noble family 'Geneda', the family was powerful and it was said that the family's male who was born with silver hair had always take part in the army. And Geneda Kidaru was one of the family members who had joined the army since three years ago and was promoted into a knight a year ago.

Tanaka grabbed his sword tightly, 'So there is a knight in their team?'

" Hey, Generation of Miracles! Fight me!", Luka ran directly, some comrades of him were shouting at him and followed the man. They were running to where the freshmen were but suddenly Luka tripped following by the other two peoples who tripped too.

" W-What is this?!", Luka raised his moody-hands, looking at it disgustedly. " Why is there a muddy field here!"

While the team from Squad 11 was all surprised, the freshmen were cheering inwardly. Just now Akashi told them to make two large rectangle pits in front of the forest, one at the left while the other one at the front. After making the hole, they poured some water in it and since it was a humid ground it would automatically became a muddy ground. After that, they only needed to put back the ground again and soaked the ground with some water. All of that were what Akashi told them.

Actually if you were to be careful, you would realize the difference between the surface and the normal one. But still Akashi assumed that there would be at least one or two that fell into such obvious trap, and here they got the three of them.

Luka tried to walk himself out from the muddy field but his feet just stepped deeper into the ground, it was sticky and it made him panic and used more power which was a wrong move. No matter how sticky the ground was, if you just stepped on it lightly you would be out in no time. More force would only make the humid ground below you collapsed more.

" Gahh—", Luka's scream stopped abruptly since his face was suddenly bumped into the mud. He raised his now dirtied-face to see Geneda who had passed his place and was now running at their enemies. " Hey! Y-You just stepped on me, aren-", his face was being pushed down again and it kept continued until all his other comrades finished crossing the ground.

" It must be your idea, isn't it Akashi-sama?", Geneda asked as he raised his sword while running.

Akashi raised his own sword, " We think it will be more appropriate if we prepare a surprise for you. It didn't mean to be a deadly trap, it just one that we thought to welcome you into our base.", he said elegantly.

And so the fight between thirty six freshmen from squad 12 and seventeen regulars from squad 11 for the freshmen's signature flag began.

-Right at the entrance of the tunnel-

Acies Forest

" It's almost three at the evening.", the captain of Squad 11 Imayoshi Shoichi sipped his tea, slowly enjoying the drink. " I wonder who is doing better."

" Hehm.", the captain of Squad 12, Hyuuga Junpei raised his own glasses. " My freshmen won't lose to your team. Don't you dare underestimate them.", he sent an intense glare to the other captain sitting not too far beside him.

" My my don't misunderstood my intention, Captain Hyuuga. ", a tick appeared on Hyuuga's face. " I didn't underestimate your subordinates at all. Don't forget that I had put three knights on my team."

Hyuuga glared more to the smiling captain. It was okay for his freshmen to face them, it had been his intention to let them taste how it felt to face a high wall. The fearfulness in the war was much more than the one in this battle, it couldn't even to be compared with a one per sixteenth of it. He would without any hesitant kick out those who weren't prepared for this.

" But why must I wait here with this smiling creepy…", Hyuuga face palmed and sighed.

" I could hear you, Captain Hyuuga. I chose to stay here to accompany you, you should show more appreciation to me.", Imayoshi smirked and pushed his glasses up.

" Heh! Yeah~ I felt soooooooooo grateful for your kindness, Cap-tain I-ma-yo-shi.", Hyuuga glared directly at the other captain and forced a smile which only made his expression worse.

Imayoshi was still smiling without a flinch at all, " Do you need to show such expression every time you called me captain, Captain … Hyuuga.", even though he was smiling but a dark aura had started to leak out from him followed with Hyuuga's.

" Oh, of course! Because you are a captain now, right ?", Hyuuga asked in a mocking tone.

Both of them were still glaring at each other, Hyuuga was the first to break the contact. "Geez, we're like a kid."

Imayoshi chuckled, " Not me, but you Captain Hyuuga."

A large tick appeared on Hyuuga's face, " Shut up.", Imayoshi chuckled at the remark.

-Where Kagami was-

TAK TAK PAKK

" Hahahahhhaha, nice nice… How about this?!", Shoma bent his body down and slashed his sword upward right at Kagami's chin. Kagami managed to dodge the direct hit, even if a small cut appeared on his chin because of it.

Kagami wasted no time and repeated Shoma's move in a quick pace, Shoma who had left a big opening because of his last attack had no time to block it and received a direct hit at his chin. He was sent flying up a bit but managed to land on both his feet, holding his redden chin. " Shit, it hurt you know?", was what he said but his amused expression didn't falter at all.

He dashed and attacked Kagami again and both of them were engulfed in the intense clashing like the one they had been having up until now, with Shoma attacking Kagami furiously while Kagami trying to follow his movement and blocked all the attack.

Kise was watching them from the side in both worry and amazement, he and Aomine had long finished their own battle. The nine opponents they faced were all lying on the ground now, unconscious. After they finished, they had been standing at the side and watched the battle between the red-haired boy and the dark-brown haired knight.

He had always thought that Kagami was different, that he was strong. But to think that he could follow the knight's movement so well, was another thing. They were completely engulfed in their own fantasy, just looked at their expression right now. The dark-brown haired knight was smiling and his dark eyes were glinting in amusement, while the red-haired boy looked so determined and his crimson eyes were all fired up.

At first, Kagami was being pushed down by the older boy's speed but he adapted quickly and soon he was on par with the knight. They were having an intense fight, sometime Kagami was hit and sometime it was Shoma who was hit. But none of them stopped at all and continued on, they were riled up more precisely.

Kise's hand unconsciously shook, " Daikicchi…", there was no answer but he kept continued, " They look like they are enjoying their battle. I'm getting all riled up just by watching.", Kise tried to hold down his shaking hand but failed nonetheless. " I want to join them…", he whispered in the end.

Kise was expecting a reply but since he got none, he glanced to the tanned friend of his and he was startled when he saw how those dark-blue eyes were glinting in amazement much like his. The tanned boy was clenching both his fists so tightly, his mouth opened a little.

Kise almost laughed at his own stupidity, of course the tanned boy would feel the exact same excitement when he saw such intense battle. Out from the six of them, the tanned boy was the one who liked fighting the most. That's not that he never saw such expression but it was a long time ago, maybe three or four years ago?

Before the tanned boy would always show such expression because he loved the excitement he felt when he was facing a strong opponent but as the time flew by, his excitement slowly gone away when he got too many praises from people around him and the gazes his opponent gave him after he won. Not even Kise or the other Kisedai could bring up his old self anymore, he slowly became a calm looking person everytime he fight.

Maybe it was because how long it had been since he last seen that expression, so he was startled just now. " Mou~ I really envy them~", the real childishness resided inside the blonde showed up as he looked back at the battle.

NNGUUNNG NGUUUNNNG NGUUUUNNNNGG

The sound of the horn stopped all the movements, not only in Kagami's place but also far away from them, on the base of the freshmen and also where the two captain were waiting for. All of them looked at the direction of the sound.

Since Kagami's place was nearer, they could hear it clearer. " That direction… No way…", Shoma immediately ran to where his base was. Kagami, Kise and Aomine chased after him, while Maguchi and Hans helped Reino to follow all of them.

-Freshmen base-

" N-No way, that sound!", one of the ten regulars left from squad eleven shouted in disbelief. " F-From our base…", the other continued. " N-No way, we lost?" All of them were dumbfounded, one sides didn't believe they lost while the other side didn't believe they won. All except Akashi and Kuroko, who smiled at their comrades' good work.

Shoma ran to where his base was and saw three persons there. One was his comrade while the other two he certain were the prodigy from the Generation of Miracles even though they were at the same height as his comrade.

The two prodigies looked quite beaten, there were many dirts on their white shirts also some of their body and some little cut on their arms. At the other side, his comrade looked completely good. But the fact that the signature flag was not longer on his chest but on one of the green-haired's hand proved that the battle did end already.

The holder of the flag realized Shoma's presence and only shrugged carelessly, " They were persistent. I didn't lose the battle though but I lost my flag. Sorry.", both younger kids turned to Shoma and soon Kagami and the other arrived.

" Ah! Shintaroucchi! Atsushicchi!", both Kise and Aomine ran to their friends while Kagami stood beside Shoma and looked at where the three of them were. " So, that's one of the knight that you talked about?"

Shoma nodded even though Kagami couldn't see it, " He didn't lose at all, those two kids were hurt badly but I think taking two prodigy at the same time wasn't an easy task at all.", he chuckled.

Kagami glanced up at him for a sec before looked back to the front, 'Even though he was taking on the two of them but he wasn't hurt at all. He must be so awfully strong.', suddenly Kagami felt light and his sight darken until it was completely dark. He could hear someone called for him before he fell completely unconscious.

" Run! Run!", a man shouted loudly while directing the citizens away. People scattered in a mess, all terrified by the sea of flames around them, there were also many holes on the road that left from the cannons that had been fired to the place.

" I can't found them!" "The fire has burnt through so many buildings, it's no use! Many shouts came together from all directions. Some panic screams could be heard from afar, accompanied by the sound of building collapsing. The sound of the burning flames also the large smoke that filled all the roads hindering the sight of people inside.

"GAHHHHHHHHH!", a large shriek could be heard somewhere inside the sea of flames, the shriek pierce and echoed through the air.

BOOMM!

Kagami's crimson eyes snapped open instantly, he was sweating so much as if he was inside the flames that he saw in his dream and his breathing was unsteady. After a minute of calming himself, Kagami realized he was just dreaming and now he was back to the reality. He flinched his crimson eyes tightly and raised his sweaty hand onto his face weakly, " That dream again." It had been a long time since he last dreamed of that dream again.

He spent few more minutes like that until he was completely calm down, he lowered his hand and looked around to see he wasn't on his chamber. " Where am I?", the question slipped out from his mouth indirectly.

" We're in the infirmary.", Kagami flinched at the sudden voice and turned to his left. Midorima Shintarou was leaning on the bed beside him with some bandages over his arms and a plaster on his cheek. Kagami looked past the boy and saw Murasakibara Atsushi on the bed beside Midorima's, with almost the same condition as the previous boy except he got an extra one on his stomach which could be seen from behind the shirt.

" Infirmary? Why?", Kagami asked instantly after he heard Midorima's answer.

Midorima pushed his glasses up while his green eyes keep looking at the crimson haired boy, " Do you forget? We're having a squad battle with the regulars from squad eleven. You fell unconscious right when the battle ended."

Kagami blinked, ah he remembered it now. He was looking at the knight and the two of them before suddenly he felt light and then he fell unconscious. He looked down to his body and saw total one bandages on his right arm, two red marks and three plasters on his left hand. He lifted his shirt and saw a bandage on his stomach too. He remembered Shoma had land a direct hit on his stomach until his shirt was slightly torn.

Looking back at Midorima and Murasakibara, Kagami realized that their wound must came because of their fight with that last knight. " The doctor said your wounds are not that serious, it will heal soon according to your healing ability. The reason you fell unconscious might be because you forced your body too much, she said.", Midorima decided to give him a thorough explanation since the other boy was looking at him like that.

" Oh.", Kagami smiled a little. " How about your wounds?"

Midorima didn't expect the question coming from the other boy and he hid his surprise by pushing his glasses up and looked away, " It's fine. It'll heal in no time, thank you for your consence."

" Oh, that's good.", Kagami grinned. " Our team can win because of you two. Their leader seems really really strong.", Kagami suddenly got excited as he thought about it again.

Midorima turned back at him and nodded, " Hm, you don't know it." He said in a tone that implied that that knight was really strong. Murasakibara nodded and Kagami chuckled since he had had that feeling when he looked at their conditions.

" But I heard from Ryouta-chin that you were also amazing. You can fight on par with one of the knight.", Murasakibara said in a simple bored tone like he usual had.

" Uh? N-No, Kise is being too much. I'm just trying to keep up with him, I didn't win though. Uh? Oh yeah, our fight hadn't finished that time.", Kagami ended up talking to himself as he realized that his battle wasn't finished yet that time.

" Shintarou, Atsushi.", the three of them turned to the entrance of the infirmary and saw four boys with unique hair color there.

" Kagamicchi? You have wake up?", the four of them got in the infirmary and stopped between Midorima and Kagami's bed, Kise was leaning on the edge of Kagami's bed. " Woahh, I was so surprised when I saw you suddenly collapsed! They said you overworked yourself.", Kise continued after his question.

" Yeah, seems like so.", Kagami answered nervously, up until now he still couldn't get used to be alone at the presence of the six of them at the same time, especially not when all the gazes were on him.

" Are you feeling better, Kagami-kun?", as usual Kuroko was worried over him.

Kagami grinned, " Of course, nothing to be worry about Kuroko."

Kuroko smiled before he remembered something, " Oh yeah, Kagami-kun. Just now I heard someone want to meet you, he had been waiting for you from evening. The guards had asked him to come back tomorrow morning, but seems like he has an urgent with you."

Kagami's eyes widen, the only one here who would want to meet him would be either Tatsuya or his mother. " Where is he now?!", Kagami asked loudly, slightly surprised Kuroko and the other five boys.

" The last time I saw him at the gate but-", Kuroko didn't even get the chance to finish his sentence since the crimson-haired boy had ran out instantly.

" Kagamicchi looked so panic…", Kise mumbled, Aomine was looking at where the other boy had run off with a serious gaze.

" Shintarou, Atsushi. You are feeling better?", Akashi asked as he took a seat in between Midorima and Murasakibara's bed. Kuroko settled down on a chair at Midorima's other side, while Kise and Aomine sat down on Kagami's messy bed.

Both of them nodded, " How about the others?", Midorima asked composedly.

" After they finished their dinner, they had all went back to their chamber. ", Akashi told the two of them how silent the freshmen in the dinner but the high up atmosphere was still there. Those who were injured this afternoon stayed at the other large ward located near the dining hall.

" You three were put into a different ward.", Akashi finished.

" Because we're from the noble?", Midorima somehow sounded slight irritated.

Akashi and the others understood their green-haired friend's meaning, he nodded and Midorima realized something, " But why did Kagami end up here?"

"One ward can only patch twenty persons while the total number of people who are injured are twenty one. Rather than letting him waking up alone in a large ward, I suggest the medic to put him with the two of you here. I hope you don't mind at all, Shintarou? Atsushi?", Akashi smiled at his two friends.

" Nope at all, Sei-chin~", Murasakibara hummed happily while Midorima shook his head, " Not really, he didn't do anything much. I and Atsushi wake up much earlier before he did."

" But Kagami is making some noises when he slept.", Murasakibara said simply as he looked over to the fruit on the cupboard. " Sei-chin, can I eat these fruits?"

"Of course, it was sent together with yours dinner right?", Akashi looked at two empty plates beside the fruits which Akashi certain were Midorima and Murasakibara's. His red eyes glanced at the untouched foods near where Kuroko was sitting on.

Kuroko who realized the glance, looked behind to the dinner prepared on the cupboard. " Kagami-kun was too hurry just now, he didn't even has his dinner or maybe he didn't even know about it."

" By the way, Atsushi. You said Kagami is making some noises, what do you mean?", Aomine asked in curiousness.

" Yeah yeah, what do you mean Atsushi-cchi? Didn't he just wake up when we came?", Kise asked excitedly.

"Uhm~ Well~", Atsushi paused as he munched the fruits in his mouth. " I think he has a bad dream.", Atsushi took a bite again and continued " Shintarou-chin said he was sweating and clenching his blanket tightly." and he took another piece of fruit from the cupboard.

" Uhh~? Really?", Kise asked in surprise. The others were looking at the two of them to wait for more stories. The people outside might think they were prodigy and also a noble, but they actually spent their time together and shared some story they know or the events that happened to them, just like the other normal best friends did.

Midorima nodded and told them how Kagami's face looked in pain and how unsteady his breaths were as if he had been running for miles. The reaction after the boy wake up wasn't that much, he only murmured something and silently calming himself down, Midorima told his friends. He didn't know about the detail, none of them did. A bad dream was what they could conclude, but Akashi somehow had an idea about what the dream was, and maybe one other person…

The news about the outcome of the arranged squad battle had spread through all the army. The regulars from the winner squad, squad 12, were proud over their freshmen and some had approached their junior in the dinner to congratulate them. The other squad doubted the outcome, even though a little of them were surprised but most of them skipped the victory as coincidence. While the squad eleven themselves was taking the matter easily, the other regulars in the squad were laughing at their comrade's defeat, they even mocked the three knights about it, seemed like none of them were feeling negative about it.

Kagami ran hurriedly in a middle of the starry-night toward where the first gate was. Since it was past night already, then he couldn't get the permission to go out again. He only ran in a selfish hope that his guest was still waiting for him. He could see the gate already and such a relief it was, the gate hadn't being closed yet! There were two guards that got in Kagami's vision, they were standing there and said something to…

" Tatsuya!", Kagami shouted the name right after his eyes landed on the boy.

The three of them looked over to him, " So you're Kagami Taiga?", the guard asked. " It had past the time, we must close the gate now."

" Uh? Please give us five minutes, Sir! I beg you!", Kagami bowed ninety degrees, Himuro mimicked his gestures beside him. The guards looked at each other and then one of them nodded, " Alright, only five minutes.", and they left for their guard posts.

" Thank you, Sir!", Kagami grinned at their back.

" What a relief, isn't it Taiga? I thought I am not going to meet you today.", Kagami turned to his figured big brother who looked kind of pale. " Tatsuya, how long have you been waiting here? ", Kagami touched his brother's arm and he shouted in both surprise and worry, " Your hands are freezing, Tatsuya!"

Himuro just chuckled at his figured little brother's antic, he never changed. "I have been here from evening before the sun sets. I thought it would be the right time because you must have completed your training in time. But when I came, they said that you and the freshmen were still in training. I kept waiting here, until the guards came and told me that they must close the gate now.", Himuro was smiling nervously as he saw how his brother's expression had changed.

" Your training must be so intense. What happen to your arms?", Himuro looked at his brother up and down.

" Ah, this… We're having a battle with other squad, these are only a scratch. Nothing you need to worry about, Tatsuya.", Kagami grinned while holding his right arm with his left one, in attempt to hide his bandaged stomach.

Himuro smiled, " It must be nice.", he whispered to himself, forgetting that someone was there with him. " Tatsuya…", Himuro quickly realized his mistake and chuckled. " You don't need to worry about me, Taiga. I should be the one who need to worry about you, they must not been going easy on you."

Kagami knew his brother was half-lying but nonetheless followed his brother's flow and grinned, "Yeah but you know I can take care of myself, Tatsuya! "

" Yeah, I know it Taiga.", Himuro smiled genuinely.

" Ah, Tatsuya. Why do you come here today? You're cold, you should have gone back. I can visit you tomorrow.", 'What if you fall sick again because you were waiting for me?', was left unsaid by the red-haired boy.

" I can't wait until tomorrow, Taiga.", Kagami's eyes widen in surprise when he saw how sorrow Himuro's smile now. "I have to tell you today. Actually I have tried to tell you the days before, but…"

"W-What's wrong, T-Tatsuya?", Kagami's sound was wavering, it almost stopped Himuro but the boy realized it was today or never.

" Nothing's wrong, Taiga.", Himuro showed his genuine smile before continued, " It just that I decided to move back to Harnia and attend the school there."

" Attend the school?", Kagami repeated in confusion.

Himuro nodded and averted his eyes up to the high castle in front of him, " To be honest, Taiga. When I'm here, I would always be reminded that I couldn't be a real soldier with you. I'm gonna break down if I continue staying here.", he said in frustration.

" Tatsuya…"

Himuro remained like that for a while before he laughed and looked back into the crimson eyes, " But you know I won't give up easily right, Taiga? That's why I decided to do it in another way.", the pair of onyx eyes flashed with determination. Kagami managed a small curl smile after hearing such energetic tone Himuro used, " Has Auntie known about this?", Himuro nodded and told him that he had told her directly when he made this decision. Kagami knew this might be the best for his brother, with this his brother would stop thinking about all of these and found himself a new way. Most of all, his health…

Unknown to him though, his big brother had another reason to move. ' I know Taiga too well, that's why I know even though he might not realize it but some part in his heart would always lingering at me and my mom. The fact that he has been visiting them everyday ever since the test is the proof. He might not realize it, but as long as we stay here he wouldn't stop thinking about us. That would only trouble him in the future. That's why I thought moving away is the best choice for both of us.', Himuro had also told his mother the exact same thing.

" So when will you depart?", Kagami tried to ask as normal as he could.

" Tomorrow, ten at morning.", Kagami looked surprise at the news. " I know it's too sudden for you, that's why I must see you today, Taiga. Gomen nee~", Himuro nervously grinned and then he raised his right arm which he bended upward. " Don't forget our oath, Taiga."

Kagami grinned widely and bended his own right arm and bumped it to the side of Himuro bended arm, " Of course, Tatsuya. Never in my life will I forget about it."

The two guards came back and commanded them to stop their chatting, Himuro bit his last farewell and went back. The large gate was closed right after his leaving, Kagami could still see his brother's back until the gate was completely closed.

" You. Go back to your chamber now!"

Kagami moved his gaze away, " Alright. Thank you, Sir.", he turned and walked back. He was quite stunned and also sad when he heard the news, but he knew he should be feeling happy for his brother. His brother had resolved himself for this, as his little brother he should be able to accept it.

' That's right! The only thing I could do now is to do my best here and fulfill our oath.'
