Three fluffy-ish drabbles!
Abridged summaries:
1. Christmas fluff! Caroline and Henrik make Christmas cookies, but Klaus has to work. SFW.
2. Carenzo BroTP have a nerf gun war, and Klaus walks in at the wrong time. SFW.
3. Kol's dog steals a shoe from a pretty blonde at the beach, and she and Klaus hit it off. NSFW, but vanilla.
Prompt: Klaroline's kid/s being embarrassed by how much PDA their parents do. please :) / Hi Angie I was wondering if you would write a Christmas drabble with Caroline and Henrik baking Christmas treats together. It could be anything of your liking cookies, cake etc. Also the premise is that Caronline and Kaluse have been dating for a few months and Henrik is really taken with Caroline. Or anything more interesting is fine by me lol. Thank you. I'm not sure if I submitted it in the right place or if you're even doing these Christmasy drabbles but if you are thanks :) / Hi! Can you do a Klaroline with Caroline who owns a cupcake store and Klaus is a CEO/Business man who is just not having a good day. And what's a better way to cheer somebody up than with a cupcake? :)
"It smells really good in here."
Caroline stopped singing along to the Christmas music she had blasting from the speakers she had hooked up to her iPhone and smiled slightly as she stood up from where she was putting cookies in the oven. She took off her oven mitts and set them on the counter before turning to give Henrik a hug, ruffling his hair, making the thirteen-year-old wince. "Yeah. I'm making cookies for your family for Christmas."
"That's a lot of cookies."
"Yep. Everyone's going to get a tin, hopefully," Caroline said, turning the speakers down before hovering her hand over the cookie sheet to see if they had cooled down enough to drizzle the chocolate coating on top of them.
"Do I get one?"
"Of course."
"Do you need help?" he asked shyly, and Caroline nodded.
"Actually, that would be great. I'd even be willing to give you some extras at the end as long as you don't eat the cookies before they're done."
"I promise," Henrik said quickly.
"Great! I already convinced Klaus to help decorate the sugar cookies–"
"I do not recall agreeing to this," Klaus interrupted, clearly having followed the smell of baked goods to the kitchen.
Caroline ignored him, picking up the wax paper the lace cookies were resting on and bringing them to the kitchen table, carefully setting it down and giving henrik the bowl of hot fudge. "Drizzle the chocolate over them in zigzags like this," she instructed, showing him with one of the cookies. "It doesn't have to be perfect, and if you want to make shapes or something that's totally fine. Once that's done, you can help Klaus decorate the sugar cookies."
"Okay," Henrik said agreeably, sitting down at the kitchen table.
Caroline turned to Klaus and gave him a lingering kiss on the cheek before pulling back. "Hey you. How was the movie?"
"Horrible, but he seemed to like it. We managed to get seats by the emergency exit, so there was enough light to read by if I squinted."
"You're such a grinch."
"After the Fall isn't even a Christmas movie, sweetheart," he said, catching her around the waist as she tried to move around him and pulling her to kiss her on the nose.
"I know. That's why I didn't go."
She smiled at his scoff and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips, shooting an apologetic look at Henrik when he gagged exaggeratedly from the kitchen table before pulling back. "I need to put jam in the thumbprint cookies and put them in, and then I'll make icing and you and Henrik can decorate while I make the peppermint and chocolate meringue bites."
"Don't you think you might be going a bit overboard, love?"
Caroline froze, turning slowly to glare at Klaus, and Henrik snorted. "Caroline takes Christmas seriously, bro."
Caroline tried desperately (and failed) to turn her laugh into a cough, and Klaus's eye twitched. "Bro?" he asked incredulously.
"What?" Henrik asked, giving Klaus his best (fake) innocent look, and Caroline intervened before Klaus could say something too snarky.
"If you haven't noticed by now that I take all holidays seriously, especially after last year, you haven't been paying any attention."
It was true. Caroline owned a bakery that specialized in cupcakes, but she did lots of special orders for holidays. Christmas was one of the busiest times of year, and when she and Klaus had started dating a month or two before the last Christmas, she'd had to put up with him sitting in the back room of her bakery on his laptop doing work while she baked in order to have any time for each other at all.
14 months previously…
"Hi. What can I get you?" Caroline asked the man who had come to the register, and looking at the glass containers of the various cupcake flavors.
He was quite handsome, dirty blonde hair and just the right amount of stubble giving him a rakish look.
"What's your favorite?" he asked finally.
She was momentarily thrown off by the accent, but bounced back quickly. "Um. I like the vanilla lemon curd, but if you like chocolate, you can–"
"The lemon one is fine, love. Thank you."
"Okay," she said, bending to get the cupcake out of the display and putting it in a box and noting his expression as he watched her. "Bad day?" she asked.
"You could say that, yes."
"I'm sorry."
"Well, it's not your fault," he said a bit bitterly.
"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked hesitantly as she taped the sticker with the logo on the box.
He gave her an assessing look before shrugging. "There's not much to say, really. I just had a rather frustrating business meeting with two of my colleagues who do not seem to understand the concept of the word 'budget'."
"What do you do?"
"I'm a corporate controller."
"Oh. That sounds…interesting."
He snorted. "No need to lie, love."
She shrugged. "That's sort of like an accountant, right?"
His lips twitched. "Sort of. And what do you do, love?"
"I'm Caroline," she said, gesturing to the bakery's logo behind her.
"Ah. The Caroline in Caroline's Cupcakes?"
"Yep."
"How many times a day do people call you Sweet Caroline?"
"It happened once. Didn't go well for him."
"I suppose I should learn from his mistakes, then?"
"Yes," she said decisively.
They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other, and Caroline felt a blush creep up her cheeks.
"So, how much, love?"
"Just take it. It sounds like you had a bad day."
He smiled. "Now, that's just not fair for you, love. You shouldn't have to suffer for my bad day."
She shrugged. "Okay. Fine. That'll be $4.99, please."
"You could also let me take you out to dinner?" he suggested, not reaching for his wallet.
"Okay. I close in about fifteen minutes," she said, giving him a shy smile.
"Caroline, love, really. I have an immense amount of work to do."
"Okay," she said, kissing him quickly and pulling back, patting him lightly on the chest before moving to turn the timer off and take out the latest batch of cookies, setting them on the counter.
She turned to see Henrik with his nose scrunched in disgust, eyes tightly shut. "You're gross."
"I know," Caroline said cheerfully before turning back to her speakers and clicking her iPhone on to find music. "What music do you want to list-Klaus, if you take that cookie off the baking sheet I will not be happy with you," she said without turning around, knowing that Klaus had reached for one of the hot-from-the-oven cookies.
Sure enough, she heard him huff before he rubbed her back lightly and gave Henrik a low warning to behave, his footsteps indicating that he'd left for his office as she settled on a classic Christmas album, humming along with it.
She made the icing for Henrik as she promised and they sang along to the carols together as Caroline made the meringue for the peppermint-chocolate cookies.
An hour later, they were packing up the cooled cookies on layered wax paper into a set of festively-patterned tins that Caroline had bought, and Caroline let Henrik pick out his favorites so that she could add more of them to his tin.
"What do you want for dinner?" Caroline asked as she wiped down the kitchen counters with a wet cloth.
"I dunno. Whatever, I guess."
"How about pasta?"
Henrik shrugged, and Caroline put the water to boil and told Henrik that he was free to use the gaming systems if he wanted, rolling her eyes when he immediately bolted to the living room, the sound of laser guns starting a few minutes later.
Caroline continued to clean up as the pasta cooked, draining it and pouring it into three bowls and ladling sauce over it, bringing Henrik's bowl to the living room and inwardly praying for the carpet.
She checked the clock and sighed when she realized that Klaus had been locked up in his office for the past two hours and grabbed a plate of cookies and a bowl of pasta to bring up to him.
He looked up from his laptop as soon as she entered, giving her a tired smile as she set the plates down. "I'm sorry, love."
"It's okay. I know you're busy."
Klaus shrugged and closed the laptop abruptly. "We can sit in the living room with Henrik if you like."
"You're working," she pointed out.
"Yes, and it would be marginally more pleasant if you were there."
He plucked a cookie from the plate before she lifted it, unplugging his laptop and setting it under his arm before grabbing the pasta as well and following her to the living room. She snuggled into his side as he worked, eating her food and munching on cookies after she convinced Henrik to switch from video games to a movie.
She barely even noticed when Klaus closed his laptop and set it aside, and when he let an arm rest around her shoulders, she hummed contentedly as he played with the ends of her hair.
"You know that I can see you right?" Henrik asked abruptly, still watching the movie.
"Yes," Klaus growled. "Although, if you are uncomfortable enough that you'd like me to drive you home instead of staying the night, do let me know."
"Nope. I'm good here. Finn and Sage are here, and they brought Dahlia and Freya."
"They're only five, they can't be that terrible."
Henrik and Klaus scoffed in tandem, and Caroline shot him a questioning look.
"In three days when you have Christmas Eve dinner with my family, I will remind you that you said that and we'll see if you still believe it. All right, sweetheart?"
"That bad, huh?"
"Worse," Henrik said darkly, and Caroline shrugged.
"I'm sure it'll be fine."
"Even if it is, there's always New Year's," Klaus muttered, and Caroline gave him The Look, which made him fall silent as she laid her head on his shoulder.
Okay, you know that post with the couple, where one leaves the note with the nerf gun that says "Here is your weapon. I have one too. Loser cooks dinner. Good luck. xo". That for Frienzoline roommates. Bonus points if Klebekah (their SO) show up mid battle and Klaus gets shot.
Caroline stood flat against the wall next to the doorway leading to the living room, listening intently as the front door opened and closed. She had been waiting for a good fifteen minutes for her roommate to get home, and she was so ready.
She heard him pick up the note, mumbling the words under his breath, and then the light clacking sound of him picking up the nerf gun she'd left him.
"Fine, gorgeous. You're on. I think you should let me win, though, because otherwise we'll be eating half-cooked pasta."
Caroline scoffed, realizing her mistake (letting him know where she was) a second too late as she heard his footsteps coming towards her, and ran up the stairs, crouching by the banister at the top, prepared to shoot.
She took two shots, diving behind the doorway to dodge Enzo's return fire.
There was a series of thumps, indicating that Enzo was climbing up the stairs, and she waited until he was close before jumping out the doorway, shooting him twice in the chest before sliding down the banister, laughing and ignoring his threats of murder. She moved into the living room and ducked behind the couch, listening closely for Enzo to come down the stairs. She heard the door opening (figuring that it was probably the kitchen, which was connected to the hallway on the other side), and jumped up, shooting the person that had walked in.
Klaus reached out and snatched the foam bullet from the air, inspecting it. "Any particular reason you're shooting foam pellets out of a plastic children's toy?"
Caroline opened her mouth to respond before dropping to the floor as Enzo came barrelling in, shooting five bullets in quick succession, all of which Klaus batted away from his chest impatiently.
"We're having a nerf war," Caroline explained quickly, moving to hide behind Klaus and peeking over his shoulder as Enzo held his gun at the ready in case she moved. "Loser cooks dinner."
"Did you forget that Bekah and I were returning from our trip tonight?"
"Nope," Caroline said, grabbing Klaus's shoulders and turning him around to keep herself behind him as Enzo flashed beside them in hopes of catching Caroline while she was distracted.
"Are you honestly using me as a shield against foam bullets?"
"Yes, because if I get hit, that's bad. I already hit Enzo twice, and I only have to hit him one more time to win."
She could tell exactly what was going to happen about a second before it transpired, but was unfortunately not fast enough to stop him as Klaus threw a foam dart so hard that it punctured Enzo's throat.
"There. You win, sweetheart."
"Seriously Klaus?" Caroline asked exasperatedly, rushing over to the kitchen to get a damp paper towel and some lysol, and returning to get the blood that had already dripped onto the hardwood floor. "This was supposed to be for fun."
"That was fun. I've wanted to do that for ages," he said, and Caroline rolled her eyes as she watched the hole in Enzo's throat reclose itself, the blood still soaked into his shirt.
"Rude, mate," he said, clearing his throat.
Klaus just shrugged noncommittally, and Caroline huffed irritably, her hands on her hips. "Klaus, stop being a dick to my best friend."
"Why is this my fault?"
"You were the one who cut my throat open with a foam bullet, mate," Enzo said, putting the nerf gun on the couch and stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I vote he makes dinner as retribution. All in favor?"
Caroline and Enzo chanted "Aye!" at the same time, hands shooting into the air, and Klaus groaned.
"Let me find the take-out menu."
"Um, nope, you're actually legit cooking," Caroline said, lacing her fingers through his and dragging him to the kitchen before standing on her toes to kiss him on the cheek, breathing her next words quietly enough that Enzo wouldn't catch them. "I really like watching you cook."
"Do you?" he asked, smirking, and she nodded, pressing herself against him and slinging her arms around his shoulders.
"Yep," she said, smiling. "I'll even help if you want. You can return the favor later?"
"No sex in the kitchen!" Enzo said through the door. "I like knowing it's sanitary."
Caroline scoffed. "Please. Like I'd let the kitchen be anything less than spotless. And anyway, I wasn't the one who got caught bending their girlfriend over the kitchen table–"
"You what?" Klaus asked, letting go of Caroline, who huffed and grabbed Klaus's wrist, pulling him back to her.
"Rebekah's an adult, she's in an adult relationship, I very thoroughly cleaned the kitchen, and if you don't start chopping vegetables now with your sexy artist fingers, those fingers will not go anywhere near me tonight. Got it?"
"Yes, sweetheart."
Prompt- I'm at the beach with my brother Kol and he's somehow managed to train his new puppy to steal a flip-flop (nearly said thong) from any attractive young woman in the vicinity and as it turns out she stole yours and you just happen to know that it's a crime. / Klaroline smut: "when i asked you to put sunscreen/lotion on my back that's all i wanted you to do, but your hands are like magic and they have my full permission to wander" au...I'm pretty sure you may have written something similar to it or someone else did. Either way, pretty please?
"Nik, want to see Cat do a trick?"
Klaus resisted the urge to groan as he looked up from his phone. Kol was standing with his golden retriever on a leash, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
"Again?"
Cat had already accomplished 'sit', 'stay', 'fetch', and 'lie down', and was a very quick learner, as far as Klaus could tell.
"Yes. Watch." Kol pointed at a pretty blonde who was reading under an umbrella nearby, sunglasses perched on her head, and said, "Shoe."
Cat took off towards the blonde, its tail wagging, and picked up her pink flip flop from where it had been next to her foot, coming back and dropping it at Klaus's feet.
Klaus only had a few moments to process that he was slightly impressed before the blonde came storming up to them, her teeth gritted. "Um, excuse you."
"Hello, love."
"My name is Caroline and that is my shoe," she growled, bending to pick it up, which gave Klaus an excellent view of her perfect bikini-framed arse. She frowned as she stood up, realizing that the puppy's teeth and torn one of the straps off, leaving it useless as a shoe. "Ugh, seriously? It's broken now."
"My apologies, Caroline," Kol cut in smoothly, grabbing Caroline's hand and kissing it before she could wrench it away. "Cat was just having a bit of fun."
"Cat?" she asked incredulously. "You named your dog 'Cat'?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Whatever. Look, I think that you and Cat owe me some new shoes."
"Fair enough," Klaus said, not wanting to give Kol any more time to charm Caroline, if there was ever a 'dibs' moment, this was it. "Shall I walk you to the shops?"
She gave him an assessing look that seemed to take hours, but was probably only seconds, before nodding. "Okay. Let me just get my cover-up."
He nodded, watching her jog back to the umbrella and slip on a white mesh dress that barely covered her arse. He had to shake himself out of the small trance to put on his shirt (noting the flash of disappointment in her eyes and trying not to smirk) and grabbed his wallet, nodding to the pier where all the gift shops were.
"What's your name?" she asked, and he smiled.
"Klaus."
"And is Cat your dog?"
"No. It's my brother Kol's. He just got him a few months ago."
"Nice," she said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear it blew slightly in the beach breeze. "Do you guys live here?"
"Just for summers. You?"
"On vacation for spring break," she said, grinning at him.
"You're in college, then?"
"Yeah. It's my third year. You?"
"Graduating in May," he said.
"Awesome."
She was barefoot, and when they entered the first gift shop they saw, the cashier shook his head. "No shoes, no service, Miss."
"She doesn't have shoes. One broke. That's why we're here," Klaus said irritably.
"Well, she'll have to wait outside."
"You cannot be serious right now."
"Sorry, it's not my policy."
"What size are you, love?"
"Eight and a half," she said, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
Caroline huffed and lingered right outside the door as Klaus went to the shelf of flip flops and brought back an armful, holding them up one-by-one.
"Nope. No. Nope. Um, maybe, I guess? No. Maybe. Are there any that aren't island print?"
Klaus shrugged, leaving the two pairs she'd 'maybe'd' and putting the rest away, coming back with some more options, none of which were island print.
"If you want, we can just get a cheap pair and you can come in?"
"I don't want to make you buy two pairs of shoes," she said uncomfortably, and he grinned. "It's not a problem, love. Really."
"Okay. Um, pick whatever's cheapest," she said.
He nodded, picking the one she seemed to like best without checking the price tag and letting the cashier swipe his card. The cashier took the scissors out of the drawer to cut the plastic ties, and Klaus thanked him before bringing the shoes to Caroline, who smiled and slipped them on before following him back into the shop.
He stood at the aisle, watching her look through her choices.
Normally he'd rather impale himself on a fire poker before shopping for more than ten minutes, but he found it oddly fascinating to watch Caroline as she browsed, her lips pursed as she carefully checked the sturdiness of the straps and pressed lightly on the soles to test the firmness.
His hand twitched, and he wished he had a sketchbook to record the look on her face.
"You're staring," she said, shooting him an exasperated look and he grinned.
"You're beautiful."
"You need better pick-up lines," she countered.
"Who said I'm trying to pick you up? Can't I just give a pretty girl a compliment?"
She seemed to be fighting down a smile and finally selected a pair of shoes, bringing them up to the counter, and the cashier scanned them. Klaus handed over his card again.
"Thanks," Caroline said, giving him a small smile.
"No problem, love."
"Walk me back?"
He nodded, and walked down to the beach again. She stripped off her cover-up in one smooth movement, letting it fall, and somehow managed to make bending down to pick up a bottle of sunscreen sensual.
"So, um, want to do me another favor?" she asked, looking up at him through her eyelashes.
"Depends, love."
"I need someone to help me put sunscreen on my back."
He smirked, taking the bottle. "Well, I suppose it's the least I can do."
"Thanks."
She laid down on her stomach, reaching behind her to undo the back of her bikini, leaving her skin bare.
He swallowed audibly, but let some sunscreen spill into his hand, massaging it carefully down her back. His eyes widened when she moaned softly, and he felt his cock twitch.
"You all right, love?"
"Yeah. That just feels really nice."
He smirked. If she wanted him to touch her skin, who was he to say no? He felt her shiver under his hands as he trailed a finger down her spine, heard the soft gasp as his hands moved dangerously close to the fabric of her bikini bottoms. She didn't complain as he kept touching her after the lotion was massaged into her skin, and feeling daring, he bent to kiss her shoulder blade as he trailed a hand down her side.
He took great satisfaction from coaxing another barely audible moan out of her, and he smiled against her, letting his tongue dart out to flick against her skin. Her breath caught as she shifted under him, his hands wandering to stroke the backs of her thighs.
She rolled over suddenly, winding her fingers through his hair and pulling his lips down to meet hers.
He returned her kiss enthusiastically, gripping her hips and moaning into her mouth. She tasted sweet, her tongue tangling with his as she arched her back to press her breasts against his chest. "My friend is still here. I can text her to take the rest of the stuff back to the hotel," she said breathily as she pulled back slightly, her fingers still playing with his curls.
"Where are you staying?"
"Hilton."
"That's across town. My house is closer, if you'd like to go somewhere else. Is that all right?"
"Yeah."
She let out a soft gasp as he dragged his fingernail lightly down her side before taking the strap of her bikini between his fingers. "Turn over and I'll re-tie it for you," he said softly.
He trailed kisses down her shoulder again after he retied the strings before standing, holding out a hand to help her up. She pulled her cover-up back on, grabbing her oversized purse and squeezing his hand, raising an eyebrow. "So? Where to?"
"Just a few blocks that way," he said. They only got a few shops down the pier before he was pressing her against the wall of a candy shop, his hips rocking against hers as she moaned against his mouth. He squeezed her arse and lifted her against the wall so that she could wrap her legs around his waist, scraping his teeth down her jaw before sucking and licking her neck.
"We need to get to your place," she gasped out, her fingers tugging at his hair as she moaned. "Bed. Or shower sex, if that's okay."
He smiled against the skin of her neck, setting her down gently and kissing her a few more times on the lips. "Shower sex is fine by me, love," he said between kisses before they returned to the pier, slightly out of breath.
They walked the few blocks to Klaus's family's summer home, pausing every now and then for a heated kiss or two (or ten), and he led her up to his bedroom, which had a full bathroom attached, and pressed her against the door, kissing her heatedly before she pulled his shirt off, throwing it to the floor and running her hands down his chest as he bit at her lips, tracing his tattoo with her fingers before scratching her nails over his nipples, making him groan.
He broke away, tugging her to the bathroom and turning on the spray of the shower as he watched her pull her cover-up off.
Her bikini followed, falling to the floor, and he watched her with hungry eyes as she stepped under the shower spray. "You coming or what?"
He grinned and undressed, joining her in the shower and cupping her arse in his hands, pulling her flush against him.
She ground against him, and he bent to suck her lower lip, his teeth dragging along her skin, and she moaned, her knees buckling as she leaned against him, her fingernails dragging down his back.
"Do you like the way my hands feel on you, Caroline?" he breathed in her ear, and she nodded. "Lean against the wall for me, sweetheart."
She did, eyes dark and wide as she watched him squeeze some body wash into his hand, cupping her breasts in his hands and pulling her nipples between his fingers. Her head fell back against the tiled wall, eyes closed as she arched her back, and he smirked, bending to take a nipple in his mouth as he massaged her other breast. The suds dripped down her abdomen to her thighs, and he watched the path of the bubbles sliding down her body. She seemed perfectly content for him to stare, walking forward slightly and leaning back to rinse her hair, threading the strands between her fingers and arching her back so that her breasts were emphasized, her lips slightly parted.
Her hands moved down her body slowly as she washed the bubbles away, and his cock was throbbing almost painfully as he took her in. He reached to wrap a hand around himself, and she smiled slightly, dropping to her knees and grabbing his wrist before taking him in her hand, stroking him firmly, her other hand moving to fondle his balls. "Fuck, Caroline."
"Lean against the wall," she said, pushing him lightly until he was pressed against the tiles. She was positioned under the spray so that water was dripping down her body but her eyes were free to look up at him.
He watched as she ran her tongue up his length, swirling it around the head of his cock before taking him in her mouth and sucking. He groaned, his hands curling into fists, as he braced himself against the wall, and she bobbed her head up and down a few times, her cheeks hollowing, before she pulled back, continuing to stroke him. "Do you like my mouth on you?"
"God, yes."
"Good," she said, smirking before wrapping her lips around him again. He let out a strangled groan as she sucked hard, her teeth lightly brushing to top of him.
"Just like that, Caroline...Fuck…More," he groaned out, and she obliged, her hand stroking his cock where her mouth couldn't reach as she took him further, swallowing around the head of him, and he let out a stream of curses through his groans, his teeth gritted, and his thoughts were soon an incoherent haze of how fucking good her mouth felt around him.
He groaned out her name and a warning, swearing again when she took him further, cupping his balls with her other hand and swallowing around his cock. He came with a low groan of her name, spilling down her throat. She pulled back, licking her lips, and he held out a hand to pull her up and give her a bruising kiss, squeezing her arse and noting how loudly she moaned when he pressed a thigh between her legs.
"Let me return the favor?" he asked, biting her ear.
"Yeah."
They were in the shower for quite awhile, and he smirked when Rebekah pounded on the door later to ask if he'd used all the hot water, more because Caroline gave him a guilty look when she pulled herself away from his lips than because of Rebekah's tantrum.
"Oops."
"Don't worry about it, love."
She stirred against him, ready for round three when she paused. "Is that a Columbia sweatshirt?"
"That's where I go to school. Why?"
"Oh. I go to NYU."
He smirked, flipping them over and balancing on his elbows. "Well, perhaps you might allow me to take you out for coffee next week when school's on again? Or dinner?"
"Plan on making this more than a one-night stand?" she asked, grinning.
"Oh, love, you have no idea."
Thank you for reading! Please let me know your thoughts :)
Hugs!
