The same scene, from a neutral point of view.

"Oh, Charlie Brown!" Lucy calls, football in hand.

"Huh? Oh! Hi, Lucy."

"I'll hold the football, and you kick it!"

"Just like the last times, huh?"

"Aww, come on! You really have so little faith in me?"

"...Fine. I'll kick the football, on one condition."

"Hm?"

"If I actually manage to kick it, you'll give me something."

"What kind of something?"

"How about… A kiss?"

She blushes, but nods. "Okay."

He grins, running up to kick it.

She pulls it away, and he slips.

"Are you okay?" she asks, standing over him.

She holds out a hand.

He shakes his head. "I'm fine, Lucy. I'll see you later."

She nods and, smiling, skips away.

Across the street, unnoticed, Schroeder turns and walks away.
