I am soooo sorry it has taken me this long to get back. I have had no life what so ever the last few months because work has been so busy. I alternate between day and night shifts so sleep is something that never happens. Anyway, the final chapter of a lovely story that got way out of hand. Yall know this is an M rated story, etc. etc. Hope everyone else has been good and that you enjoy this last chapter, thanks to all that decided to hang in there.

New Beginnings

"Wow, so twins...how are we...how do I... I really have no idea what I'm trying to ask honestly." Jim babbled as he tried to think. Leonard didn't appear to be doing much better either.

The trio sat in blissful silence as they just tried to take it all in, Spock was finally awake, the fate of their children was becoming clearer and they could finally just relax.

"Bridge to Captain Kirk. Message from Starfleet, sir." Or not...

"Well, so much for peace and calm..." Jim said as he walked to the wall unit, "What is it Uhura?"

"Admiral Pike sir."

"Patch him through to the med bay."

Uhura didn't even respond, Pike's face soon appeared on the small view screen.

"Jim! Why haven't I heard back from you?! Where is commander...oh. Hello Spock. Dr. McCoy." Pike said as he realized the man he'd been about to ask after was actually staring right at him.

"I take it everyone is ok then?" He asked.

"Yes sir." the trio responded. Pike raised an eyebrow and starred as if trying to gage if they were lying. after a few moment of starring he shrugged his shoulders, "Well gentlemen i have some good news for you then. The entire Enterprise crew is taking an extended shore leave!"

"Hallelujah!" Bones cheered.

"Are we in trouble?" Jim asked causing Bones to groan loudly, couldn't the man just take one simple vacation?

Pike laughed, "No Jim no one is in trouble. I figured you could all use a break, and besides you have a baby on the way! You'll need some time to prepare and baby proof the ship! Cant have a baby crawling threw the warp core!"

"Actually sir the correct term is babies." Spock said, Pike raised a brow.

"We are having twins sir." Bones said proudly. Pike began to laugh, "God, I can only imagine what one baby Kirk can get up to, but two? You gentlemen will have your work cut out for you!"

"Hey! I'm not that bad!" Jim tried to defend himself, "And besides, we are having girls." Jim said as if it made it better. Pike laughed even harder, "I'm sure they will be fine and fearsome cadets then. But seriously Jim, take a vacation, prepare yourselves and your ship, you have a life long journey ahead of you and I want you to enjoy every second you can." And with that Pike signed off smiling.

Vacation

"We couldn't just choose a charted shore leave planet could we Jim?! We had to just check out this uncharted planet as a shore leave spot!" Bones screamed as he, Jim, Scotty and Chekov ran for their lives through a thick rain forest.

What started out as a lovely and peaceful exploration of the new planet UB75643 quickly turned into a disaster. Not five minutes after beaming down, Spock couldn't stop sneezing, being due any day now he feared an allergic reaction to the fauna of the new planet and decided it was best to beam back to the ship. Jim, Bones, Scotty and Chekov remained on the planet to explore and decide whether or not it was safe enough for the rest of the crew to come down for some free time.

Ten minutes into their adventure Chekov realized that with all the alien life signals around it was an incredibly quite planet...that's when scotty realized that they were surrounded by pairs of glowing green eyes. They all froze, suddenly five giant cat like creatures crawled out from the thick forest herding them into a circle.

Jim reacted first by firing his phaser with no effect. These were no ordinary cats, they were at least six feet tall and almost nine feet long. Their fur shimmered and carried some sort of camouflage gene which changed as they moved allowing to blend in almost perfectly with their surrounding forest. The only give away that they were even there was their glowing green eyes and shiny white teeth, reminiscent of the saber tooth tiger of earths pre historic era.

Scotty screamed for everyone to run when he saw that the phaser had no effect.

"Over here!" Chekov shouted as he spotted a small cave on the hill side. The crew ran through the forest dodging trees as they dove behind the boulders surrounding the cave entrance.

"Enterprise! Beam us up!" Jim shouted into his communicator as the tigers miraculously kept running past them.

There was no answer from the Enterprise.

"Enterprise! Come in Enterprise!" Jim shouted again, "Why aren't they answering!?" he demanded to no one in particular. They all tried their own communicators to no avail. They stared at each other in silence, what could be happening to their beloved ship and crew?

Enterprise

"Back so soon Mr. Spock?" Ensign Davis asked as he beamed Spock back aboard the ship.

"Ensign Davis, unfortunately I seem to be allergic to the local fauna of this planet. Rather disappointing as it is quite a lovely planet but I'm afraid I'll have to pa-AAAAhhhsss!" Spock suddenly dropped to the floor clutching his stomach in pain.

"Commander Spock!" Davis shouted as he ran from behind the console to the crumbled Vulcan on the floor.

"Call sick bay.." Spock managed to say before he passed out on the floor from the pain. Davis jumped to the wall console, "Sick bay to transporter room!"

"This is Dr. M'Benga-"

"Sir its an emergency! Mr. Spock just collapsed to the floor!"

"I'll be right there." M'Benga said. What felt like an eternity later, M'Benga, Nurse Chapel and a full med team ran into the transporter room carrying a stretcher. Spock was still unconscious on the floor but his face was marred with a look of pain. Chapel began scanning him as M'Benga attempted a partial mind meld.

"Doctor, he's in labor!" Chapel said as the med team lifted the Vulcan onto the stretcher and began carrying him through the halls to med bay. M'Benga lifted his hands from the Vulcan's face ending his partial meld, "I know. He's blocked off his bonds to focus all his strength on controlling the pain of the labor. Ensign Davis, you must beam up the Captain and Dr. McCoy, he-" M'Benga looked around, "Where is Ensign Davis?" M'Benga asked as he and his team continued down the hall and arrived at the med bay.

"Chapel, continue scanning Spock, Nurse Ruj, grab whats left from Spock's blood supply and someone find Ensign Davis!"

Davis

"Everyone the babies are coming! The babies are coming!" Davis ran screaming through the halls waking up and disturbing the entire crew.

"The babies are coming! Lieutenant Uhura!" Davis screamed as he ran past the Lieutenant in the hall, "Mr. Spock has gone into labor!" He shouted excitedly.

"Oh my gosh! Where's Jim and Leonard? Weren't they just on the planet?" Uhura asked as she started running toward the med bay to see her friends.

Davis stopped dead in his tracks, "Oops..." suddenly Davis took off in the other direction back toward the transporter room.

Planet

"Jim just relax, I'm sure its just some technical malfunction and that they'll have us beamed out of here in no time at all." Bones tried to sooth Jim as he panicked about every possible situation from Klingons attacking to mutant diseases wiping out the crew.

"But Bones I cant even here Spock's thoughts through our bond! It's like he kicked me out of his head or something!" Jim practically balled. Scotty sat near the entrance of the cave keeping watch with Chekov as they tried to 'fix' their communicators to see if maybe there was a signal problem.

"Jim, he's probably asleep or something. I can still feel our bond so I'm not too worried-" Bones instantly went quite as they all heard the very loud roar of another one of those giant cats near by.

Jim jumped up, as Chekov and Scotty ran to the back of the cave where Jim had been sitting. "We need a plan, if we cant hail the ship we need to be able to defend ourselves because I highly doubt we can continue running from them forever."

Suddenly the roar sounded closer, "Scotty try hailing the ship-" Jim didn't even finish his sentence when all the sudden they were all engulfed in the transporter beam. Not a moment to soon either.

Jim, Bones, Chekov and Scotty all appeared on the transporter pad a little worse for wear than when they had left. Jim hadn't even fully re-materialized when he demanded to know what had happened.

"I'm sorry for losing communication sir but we've had a bit of an emergency-"

"What happened?! Why didn't you beam us back sooner?!" Jim demanded as he began marching off to the command deck assuming the emergency had to be an attack of some sort.

"I'm sorry sir, the whole thing was a bit of a surprise sir-"

"Jim I'll be going and checking on my engine's then." Scotty said as he started to run to the engine room.

"Ensign! You still haven't explained to me what happened!" Jim yelled at the same time.

"Yes sir, sorry sir, I'm just confused as to where you are going sir-"

"Ensign if the ship is having an emergency I always go to the command deck its-"

"But sir its not a ship emergency Mr.-"

"THEN WHAT IS IT!" Jim yelled loosing his temper as he pushed the button for the lift.

"Mr. Spock went into labor sir." the poor Ensign finally explained. Jim and Bones who had been trailing behind both stopped dead.

"WHAT!?" they both shouted as the ran in the opposite direction to the med bay.

Babies

"Chapel, help me prepare for the Cesarean." M'Benga said just as Leonard and Jim burst threw the doors.

"Whats happening? How is he?" McCoy demanded as he too began to dawn his medical gear.

"Pretty good actually Dr. McCoy." M'Benga said calmly, "He is in a trance to help him with the labor, everything else should be pretty simple." M'Benga said as he started to make the first incision, that's when Jim fainted.

"Jim, you idiot!" Bones yelled as he tried to wake his bondmate, "I'm not going to let you miss this!" Jim heard as he finally started to wake back up. He managed to stand with Leonard's help just in time to see his tiny little daughter scream for the first time. One of the nurses grabbed a blanket and quickly wrapped the girl and plopped her in Jim's arms.

Awestruck was the only way to explain how Jim felt in that moment, all he could do was stare at the little bundle in his arms. "Bones," Jim finally said, "She's so small, wheres-" Jim was just about to ask where his second little girl was when he looked up and heard the baby girl in question cry for the first time. She too was quickly swaddled and handed to Leonard as the med team worked their fastest to stitch Spock up.

The med team hadn't even finished cleaning up and Spock had already awoken to his bondmates on either side of him, each with one of their daughters in their arms.

Leonard and Jim didn't even have to look up to realize that Spock was awake because their bond instantly flared back to life bringing a warm glow to the minds of the new family of five. They all sat together happily enjoying the moment, when Leonard suddenly asked, "What do we want to name them?"

Sorry, not sorry but I'm ending it here. I couldn't think of names good enough and I feel this way there is still a little mystery to the story. Its been a very long ride and i appreciate all of you who stayed with it. Hope you enjoyed it and will look into any of my future stories that i intend to post soon. LLAP
