Stephanie enjoyed breakfast with Dwayne before he followed her to her hotel room and grabbed her luggage for her before he went to get his own whilst she signed out.

The drive to Smackdown was uneventful, they just talked and listened to the radio the entire time which was nice for Stephanie as she just got to relax and hang out with someone who didn't expect anything from her.

If Paul didn't trust his girlfriend as much as he did he would be wondering what was going on between her and Dwayne but with Dwayne being married and Stephanie being with him he knew it was nothing and he knew why she agreed to it. Making his own way to the next town for Smackdown he arrived at the arena before she did so almost reluctantly entered the arena.

As he entered the arena Paul was not best pleased to see Vince stood there waiting, he just hoped he wasn't waiting for him. Avoiding eye contact with Vince he attempted to just walk straight past his boss and just go and sort a few things out before the production meeting.

Waiting for Stephanie to arrive he saw Paul and assumed she would be with him seeing as she hadn't come with him and the rest of the writers.

Surprised when Stephanie didn't follow Paul through the door Vince had to ask the question, "is Stephanie not with you?"

Stopping he turned around to face his boss not impressed that he was asking him that question, "why would she be with me? Don't you think it would be hard for us having been forced to break up to still travel together? You will be surprised to hear that I am not her keeper, never was and if you have your way I never will be either. Not that I'd want to be her keeper but if I were her boyfriend then I would actually know where she is right now and as it is I actually don't."

Vince couldn't help but be shocked by Paul's outburst, he was normally one of the most relaxed people and didn't let much if anything phase him but right now he was clearly pissed, "it wasn't personal, it was just business."

Staring at him like he had three heads he wasn't impressed at Vince's terrible attempt at justifying it, "you're seriously going to use that as your defence? I think you'll find it wasn't business, it was all personal."

"Paul I really didn't want the two of you to break up but I couldn't have such unrest in the locker room."

Rolling his eyes he wasn't going to get anywhere with Vince and he knew it, "yeah yeah, you've got to do right by the other boys and fuck your daughter's feelings."

Not wanting to stand there and argue any more he turned around and started to walk off.

Watching as Paul walked off from him Vince stared at him, "so is Stephanie coming or not?"

Rolling his eyes he didn't bother stopping so just called out hoping he heard him, "don't know and don't care."

So what if he did know the truth and didn't tell him, he wasn't supposed to know where she was or what she doing because they weren't supposed to be together. Paul just kept on walking until he reached the locker room and walked inside swinging the door shut behind him.

Throwing his luggage onto the floor he then collapsed onto the couch and closed his eyes dreaming of being home and not having to worry about what he said before he said it incase people overheard what they said and told other people.

Stephanie arrived at the arena and immediately wished she hadn't arrived because her Dad was stood there waiting on them. Getting out of the car she leant on the side of the car and tried to pretend that she was on a beach in the Bahamas and not in the car park of the arena.

Getting out of the car Dwayne took it upon himself to grab her luggage from the trunk and walked it around to her placing it at her feet before he nudged her, "earth to Stephanie."

Jumping when he nudged her she lifted her head to look at him with a raised eyebrow, "where did you come from?"

Pointing to the other side of the car he smiled nicely, "the driver's side and then the trunk. I can always walk around the other way if it would be less scary to you."

Shaking her head at his comment she wasn't impressed, "thanks for that, you'll always be scary to me when I'm off on my own little planet."

"Is your own planet nice? Can I come with you next time please?"

Laughing she wished she could stay on her own planet, "it's nicer than being here, put it that way. If I can't stay there then you definitely can't join me on my next visit."

Adjusting the luggage he still wondered why she was so eager to be on another planet, "what's going on here?"

"Look to the left and then you'll see exactly why I'd rather be anywhere but here."

Turning his head to the side he saw Vince stood there, "you can't avoid him forever. Let's just walk right by him. Do you need an arm to help you walk?"

Smiling softly she nodded her head, "I'd really like an extra arm to help me walk please."

Offering his arm he waited for her to take it before he led her towards the arena, "you can rely on me to offer you some support."

Smirking a little she was amused, "does this support include me now calling you my walking frame."

Laughing at the idea he kind of liked it, "sounds good to me."

As they reached her Dad she ignored him as best she could but he stopped them, "Stephanie can we talk please?"

Resisting the urge to scream and throw things at him despite not having anything around to throw she tried to remain polite, "I'm sorry I don't have time to talk, we're running late and we have a few things to do before the show."

Looking at her like she was crazy Dwayne shook his head, "no we're not."

Not wanting to stand there and listen to her supposed Father justify things she elbowed Dwayne in the ribs, "yes we are, we agreed to meet a man to talk about a dog ten minutes ago."

Realising that she just didn't want to talk to him Vince sighed, "Stephanie will you be okay?"

"Are you talking about my broken heart or my injured knee?" Pulling on Dwayne's elbow she forced him to start walking away from her Dad before he had time to reply.
