Chapter 3: The Joys of Sparring

Hansel lies on her bed as she reads her diary about her next brother, Viktor. She notices how he is obsessed with competitions, challenges, and spars. She claps it close and went to find her sword which she hid in the closet. Wondering why she hid it in the closet is because the last time she put it out in display the twins broke in and took her sword, it took her a month to find her sword which was in the heart of the forest and buried 6 feet under. She held the handle tightly and unsheathes it from its cover and starts rehearsing her swordsmanship skills.

"After all these years, I haven't gotten rusty at all" She murmured to herself happily. She braids her hair nice and tight and puts on her equestrian clothes. She makes her way on the horse stable. Nobody bothered her because it's 5 a.m. morning and no one wakes up that early…except William and Viktor. Once she made it she is surprised to find Viktor in the barn and petting her horse Sitron.

"Viktor what are you doing?" She questioned.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He replied gruffly, continued petting Sitron. With that Hansel went up to her horse and Sitron moved away from Viktor's hand and nuzzled on Hansel lovingly.

"Sitron really loves you" He commented.

"Of course he does" She replied.

"Sitron's a he?" He questioned.

"Of course he is, why? Haven't you payed attention to Horses 101?" She smirked making him let out huff.

"Of course I have, I always thought a female horse is more fitting to a female rider" With that she glared at him before going back to Sitron who have been nibbling on her hair for her attention. Hansel pets Sitron's head all the way to the back as he can hear him purr and leaning in for more affection.

"You're such a sexist" She commented but he did not say anything anymore. Instead he just watch the scene before him unfold. It was an adorable scene to watch. Hansel ponders how to make her first move but when Viktor looks like he's about to leave, she immediately reacted.

"Hey!" She called out making him turn.

"What?" Clearly annoyed. She bit her lip and opens her mouth.

"You want to race?" She challenged.

"Why on earth would I race with you? Don't you know who the clear winner here is?...Me" He said. She pouted.

"What? You scared I might win and prove you wrong" She smirked challengingly.

"I'm not scared of anything!" He said proudly.

"If you aren't then race with me!" She demanded.

He felt an eyebrow twitch.

"The nerve of this girl and I thought Klaus said she is good…too bad he judged too early. Oh wait! Klaus, great I promised him to give her a chance and a man is as good as his word" He thought and let out sigh.

"Fine" He agreed.

"Really?!" Hansel said rather giddily. He rolled his eyes.

"Yes it's not like I have something important to do" He said. She grinned.

"You won't regret I promise" She promised.

"You better…Get your horse ready and I'll get mine" He said.

"The venue?" She asked as she lets Sitron out.

"On top of the hill near the palace" He said "You remember where it is?" He asked. Hansel thought until she remembered, the hill was somewhere behind the palace in walking distance.

"Yes I remember" She said.

"Good, don't be late" He said before walking out.

"Like I'll be late" She called out.

He went to the other side of the stable and took his muscular, greyish-blue horse with a black mane, named Rask (Norwegian for fast). He guided him up to the hill, finally got to the top and waited. It's been few minutes FEW FREAKING MINUTES and his patience is getting thin!? Of course, Viktor isn't the patient type and even if it's just few minutes, even seconds! He will start to get impatient. Then he hears loud cluttering in the ground. Finally Hansel arrived by bursting through the trees and bushes.

"What an entrance, bravo" Viktor thought, eyes rolling. He went up to his sister who recently just jump off Sitron in an unlady-like fashion.

"Took you while" He sneered.

"What? It's just few minutes" She complained.

"Even so" He sneered again.

"We can stand here all day arguing or we can just go on our race" Hansel reminded. He lets out a sigh. "Let's race from here to bottom of the hill, how's that sound?" She asked.

"Fine, let's get going" He climbed to his horse and so did Hansel.

"On the count of three…one…two…-" Hansel started.

"Who said you get to count?" Viktor interrupted.

"Fine you go ahead" Hansel rolled her eyes with annoyance.

"Thank you…one…two-" He was sadly cut off when Hansel yelled "THREE" and raced down the hill and she got a head start.

"Cheater"

"Not fair Hansel!" He yelled as he raced down to catch up with her.

"Nothing's fair Viktor! See ya' to the bottom!" She laughed. Viktor growled angrily and used his rein (a part of horse bridle) to command a signal to his steed to run faster, his steed ran so fast he passes by Hansel who is shocked to see him taking the lead. Due to this, she did the same to Sitron to run faster. Both reached the bottom but sadly, Hansel lost which means Viktor won. He turned his steed to face her, arms crossed with a victorious smirk and she replied with a pout.

"I told you I will win" He said.

"Yeah yeah you proved me wrong, you proved me wrong like always" She spat as he let out a short, fake laugh. A moment of silence.

"Rematch?" She challenged.

"So you're willing to lose again?" He laughed.

"No but I want a rematch" She demanded "From here to the palace stable"

"Then let's make this interesting" He smirked. She raised an eyebrow.

"I'm listening" She shrugged.

"Loser will have to clean the stables for a week" He said.

"Pfft what a dumb bet" She commented.

"I know but I want something that won't give you any trouble since you are a lady after all" He said which made him earn a glare and murmured "sexist" from Hansel.

"However...that will be you're bet on me while I bet you to sword spar with me if I win" She said.

"You sword spar?" He quirked an eyebrow.

"Of course I do especially the fact I live with 12 older brothers in which almost all of them are good swordsmen" She explained.

"Almost?" He catch the "almost" part.

"Alex doesn't use his sword that well remember since he's more into, you know, books and Linus isn't good at either…instead he knows who to use scalpels and knives and Robert prefers to use his own bare hands" She said followed by a short laugh.

"Ha! I almost forgot about that" He laughed at the mention. Another moment of silence, this time it felt a little awkward, don't know why though.

"So…rematch?" Hansel gave a goofy smile as if she is a child hoping for a eyes.

"Of course but don't go crying if you end up losing" He sneered. She stick her tongue out childishly.

"Yeah like that'll happen" She murmured. Before she knew it, he bolted.

"HEY!" Hansel yelled and commanded Sitron to follow. Adrenaline course through her bloodstream and competitiveness is getting overwhelming to bear. So with one command, that she's been practicing with Sitron for a while, made him run faster than usual and surpasses Viktor's so-called "fastest-horse-in-the-land", making his jaw drop at the sight and got annoyed when Hansel turned her head and laugh at his face. With his newly found "rage", he did another command of his own. Both are catching up and the winner is…NO ONE!

Both panted heavily with beads of sweat trickles down them but not as heavy and sweaty as their horses. Both immediately got off their horses and gives them rewarding affection.

"Thanks Sitron" She said as he nuzzled on her chest.

"You did well Rask, I'm proud" He said, petting a disappointed Rask.

Hansel took an apple from a bucket full of them and feeds it to Sitron on her hand.

"Hey" He called, she turned.

"Toss me an apple" He said.

"Sure" She complied. She picked one up and threw it somewhat really hard and yelled "Think fast!" luckily he catches it with both hands.

"Nice throw…I'm impressed" He said honestly and feeding it to Rask, which he happily did.

"Thanks" She replied. Busy feeding apples and rewarding their horses with affection. Hansel decides to interrupt.

"So…about the spar" She started nervously not sure how to say it since it just popped out of her mouth.

"I know" He said.

She bit her lip, getting a bit fidgety faster than she thought and had NO idea what's going on with her. He went up to her with hand on her shoulder.

"Let's do it" He said plainly.

"Really?!" She smiled, fidgety attitude vanishing before a blink of an eye.

"Sure, I never back down on a challenge…even if you lost a bet" He said. Apart from the promise he made to Klaus, he doesn't like backing down on a challenge especially when the runt of the brood challenges someone more powerful than herself. In the past, there are times she challenges him and she losses at all times, so what makes this different, he promised Klaus to spend time with her just this once but he never says anything about embarrassing her by her own challenges. He smirked at that thought and Hansel notices his slyness and she thought " I will not let him win this time"

"Do you have your own sword or do you want to borrow one of mine" He smirked earning a glare from her.

"For your information I always come prepared" She said and "magically" pulls out a sword (it's underneath the skirt of her gown). This made him quirk and eyebrow, clearly impressed how she hid her sword under her skirt and pulling it out like as if it's on the holster of someone's belt.

"Good then that means you brought some protection" He said.

"Uh…" She trailed "Oh no! I forget my protection! Damn it! Ah, I got so excited she forgot, oh well she better make this work" She mentally scold herself.

"Are you lost for words? A princess is never lost for words and I thought you said you always come prepared" He tainted making her glare.

"You said you never back down on a challenge, right? So I wouldn't mind sparring with me armorless" She said. "Is armorless even a word? Great, I made a fool out of myself, thanks a lot mouth" She mentally scolded again.

"Alright since you're "armorless" and insist then I will go easy on you since you are a lady after all" He smirked. She gives him a menacing glare. He just laughed. Neither of them notice their horses backing away, scared and avoiding the tension that is now growing.

"Then what are you waiting for?" She demanded.

"We are not sparring in the stable with our horses watching" He glances at the horses "Who are now on the corner cowering with fear"

Her glare fell and face turned red from embarrassment. He laughed at the sight before him, he have to admit, she looks cute.

"Of course I knew that!" She said with hands on hips, chest puffed out, and a serious look on her face to look intimidating but the redness haven't yet left, so he can't really take her seriously. He covered his bearded mouth with his hand and tries to suppress a laugh earning another glare from her. So cuuute!

"What's so funny?" She demanded with her cheeks puffed. "Even cuter" He thought. He stopped his suppressed laugh and put his hand down.

"Nothing, nothing, it's…nothing" He said.

"Good! Now let's go!" She said turning her way on the stable door.

"Of course" He said and murmured "Miss bossy pants" making her turn.

"What did you say?" She asked.

"Nothing" He said plainly as if hadn't say anything at all.

"I heard you say-" She was cut off when Viktor put his fingertip over her mouth making silent.

"We can either argue or Spar" He said. Hansel huffed and both made their way out. But Hansel peeks her head in.

"Sitron don't you dare eat all those apples or else you'll get an upset tummy" She said before closing the stable barn. Sitron made his way on the apples and started eating it and even invited Rask to join him and so Rask did, then they all ate the apples…The End.

Lol! Just kidding.

Hansel and Viktor stood few feet away with swords on their hands. The deafening silence is getting tense as both waits who makes the first move. And it was Viktor, he move swiftly but Hansel's reflexes saved her from being sliced.

"Not fair!" She yelled in "complaining" stance.

"Not everything is fair Hansel" He smirked and moved his sword towards her but Hansel deflected all of it without a hair out of place.

"I'm impressed…I didn't know you can react that fast" He complimented earning a smirk from Hansel.

"According by the books, a young adult's reflexes are better compared to people who are a decade older than that young adult" She deflected another blow and powerfully pushed him backwards with the use of her sword "And that young adult is me!" She added before moving towards him and used her sword. Successfully making him let go and land few feet from his back with Hansel's sword just an inch away from his face. Eyes wide with shock, when he turned, he saw how perfectly nailed it. Before turning back to her.

"Impressive…after all these years you got better" He said. More like compliment.

"Thanks…I'm surprised I haven't gotten rusty at all" She honestly said. Before standing up more properly and lady-like.

"Looks like I win" She smirked.

"In this round" He growled.

"Huh?" She is confused.

"I want another round" He admitted. Her eyes widen before she smirked.

"Really, you want to lose" She sneered deviously.

"No! But I will prove to you I will win" He proudly said.

"Alright but don't go crying if you lose" She said in a fake mollycoddling tone making him grunt, unamused clearly.

After a few rounds, Hansel surprisingly kept winning.

"I thought you said in the second round you will, look how many rounds we are already" She complained.

"I was going easy on you" He said.

"Yeah right, you're really doing a great job at it too" She taunted only earning a growl from him. They are ready for another round but was stopped when the servants called them over for lunch but they ate lunch outside since they reek with horse stable and sweat which they reasonably complied. So their sitting outside eating lunch together. It feels really weird in a good way to Hansel, cuz' she never do anything with Viktor that lasted more than hour, and here they are! Eating lunch outside together! This is too good to be true!

"So, how did you learn how to sword fight like that?" He asked.

"Hmm?" Hansel looked away from her sandwich to look at him.

"How did you learn how to sword fight like that?" He asked again. She replied with a mouth full of food.

"Oh that uh" She paused and swallowed her sandwich down her throat first "Sorry as I was saying, I learned it from mom and dad, some tutors, and I tutored myself" She explained earning a quirked eyebrow from Viktor.

"Nice, independent and willing to learn" He said.

"Of course! I mean who wouldn't want to take painstaking lessons just to catch up with 12 older brothers? Definitely me!" She laughed. He laughed as well, now he clearly understood why she tends to challenge them to sword fighting…she just wants to prove herself.

"I understand now" He muttered, loud enough for Hansel's ears to catch it.

"Understood what now?" She asked before taking another bite of her sandwich.

"I understood why you always try so hard to impress us and even surpass us" He laughed.

"You realize that just now?" She laughed, playfully punching his shoulder. A moment of silence…again.

"Klaus was right" He trailed off.

"About what?" She asked.

"That you're a great company" He admitted.

"He said that?" She squeaked so high she didn't even notice. Cute!

"Of course he did, he kept telling me you are worth having around" With that she smiled.

"How come I didn't notice?" He asked.

"Because you're an assertive brother who's the second king and always busy to spend time with a runt like me" She smirked. He flinched a bit about how specific she is with her words about him.

"Yes…I guess you nailed it" He chuckled nervously.

"HA! You're funny!" She happily exclaimed making him give her an odd look "Of course I nailed silly!" with that she punched his shoulder once more. He didn't get it though.

"So about the sparring session…" He trailed off.

"Uh huh" She said.

"Would like some lessons?" He asked making her grin, ladies and gentlemen the greatest happy face the world would ever see.

"Yes!" She yelled standing up dropping her sandwich on the ground. He looked at the fallen sandwich "what a waste of a good sandwich" He thought rather sadly.

"Oh sorry" She apologized and sits down immediately in proper manner despite her spilled food.

"It's okay…about the lessons…can we start today?"

"Sure!" She squeaked.

"Good! Lessons start…now!" He said making Hansel say "You mean right now?!" but he dragged her to the same spot. After many old and new lessons, they decide to spar once more but Viktor sadly kept losing and Hansel keep on winning. He wonders how. She kept beating him fair and square and he's no longer going easy on her yet she kept winning.

"Now this is worthy rival…more worthy than Klaus"

"What's wrong Vicky? Something distracting you and goal?" Hansel taunted as she dodging and lashing. Viktor snarled at the nickname and sort of lost it. He starts lashing out a bit violently but Hansel dodge almost all of it without a scratch except with her now messy hair, covered with sweat, and a now dirty gown. She raised her sword and lash at his sword which successfully flew out of his hand, gathered her strength and kicked him to the ground with her ivory sword mere inches of his face. She looked down at him with a cold stare. Viktor was shocked to see his sister who finally man-up, here she is now, foot on his chest and her sword inching closer to his face. Then he sees her looking away and burst into laughter as she threw her sword away and lifting her foot off his chest. He sits up to see his sister in long fit of laughter with her arms hugging her stomach and tears at the corner of her eyes. He gave her a questionable look.

"You really feel for it! Hahaha!" She laughed.

"You really think I'm gonna get you! Pfft! Hahaha" She continued. Viktor stood up and brush the dirt of his shirt and giving her look.

"Haha very funny Hansel" He sneered.

"Okay okay! No more! Okay?" She said as her laugh slowly dies down before wiping her eyes and straightening her gown even though it still looked tattered and ruined.

"Why did you laugh?" He asked.

"Because of your face" She said as she bit her lip and tries suppress another laugh.

"Laugh all you want, See if I care" He said. With that she continued to laugh and laugh until it's starting to get into his nerves.

"Alright alright! I get it my face is funny, now shut up!" He snapped.

"Hah Ha! Okay! No more I promise" Her laughed died a little but still. Then another moment of silence.

"Why were you laughing?" He questioned.

"You're face! It's like you've seen a ghost or something!" She laughed.

"Really?" He questioned but then he felt the corners of his lips twitch.

"Uh huh, you're the first one I shocked without doing something rash" She said "Well except some cuts and bruises of our spar but you get the point"

"Yes, I see" He smiled.

"Hey look" She pointed on the horizon.

"The sunset…beautiful isn't?" He said.

"Uh huh" She replied but then realizes her mistake "Oh I mean…Yes it truly is a-" She was cut off when he puts a gloved finger over lips.

"You don't have to be perfect around me…Not anymore" He said.

"Really?!" She squeaked, only this time much higher without her knowing at all.

"Cuuuuuute!" He screamed in his head but was able to keep a straight face.

"Of course, for now on we will act nothing more than brothers and sisters! No more ignoring, no more insults!" He proudly declared. He saw the widest smile he had ever seen in his life, Hansel's smile was very bright and happy, this is the first time he saw her smiling. Not those fake smiles she put on but a real one, how nice.

"Viktor I don't know what say but…Thank you" She said truthfully. He sat on the ground crossed legs, he pats the ground beside him and Hansel understood the message. She sat next to him except more proper and lady-like. They faced the sunset and watch it set…slowly, he looked at her face and he sees how beautiful she is despite the messiness…the light of the sunset painted her sweat-covered skin which glistened under the light, hair shines brightly revealing the bright red highlights, the dirtiness of her gown seem to vanish and is replaced with orange, yellow, and red colors accompanied with a girlish smile on her pink lips.

"She is really bi-polar…one moment she's like a man then suddenly a lady" For some reason he felt himself smile at that thought.

"So should we continue the lessons?" He asked.

"Sure if you're free from work and all" She said.

"Great! I'll let you know! We can talk about the different moves and new skills we can learn together! And-" He was cut off when Hansel mimicked his earlier action with finger over the lips thing.

"Let just watch the sunset, okay?" She calmly said before patting his shoulder. He simply nodded and watch. Then suddenly they hear a distant voice.

"HANSEL! VIKTOR!" The voice yelled from behind causing them to turn and see their eldest brother, Klaus walking up behind them waving an arm above the air. They immediately stood up and brush the dirt of them and straightening their clothes trying to look presentable despite the messiness. Now that their eldest brother is in front of them who stood firm and proud yet warm and welcoming.

"What are you two doing here? It's getting late…What have you two been doing the entire day?" He asked. Turns to Hansel with a concerned face when he saw a bit beaten up, more beaten up than Viktor, she simply stood there with a goofish smile and clearly unaware of his concern.

"We have-" Viktor was cut when an over-enthusiastic Hansel cuts in.

"Been sparring!" She yelled happily.

"Sparring?" Klaus frowned with a concerned tone on his voice.

"Yes and brother Viktor here is been teaching new things!" She said happily. Noticing this, Klaus decides to remove his worries since his sister seemed happy.

"Really?" Klaus asked before turning to Viktor "Is this true brother?"

"Yes! In fact, she is willing to learn and learns quickly too! I'm very proud!" Viktor said as he puts a hand on Hansel's bare shoulder which felt a bit wrong, luckily he wears gloves. Klaus smiled at this.

"I'm glad you did what you've promised" Klaus said before turning to Hansel "Hansel I'm proud you gave you're a chance"

"Thanks for making Viktor spend time with me" She smiled, making the three of them smile. Then their stench reached to Klaus' nostrils making pinched his nose.

"Peeyu! You two smell horrible" Klaus exclaimed making them laugh nervously, Hansel is more nervous because she's a lady A LADY! What would Klaus think?!

"Sorry but that's the price of sparring and teaching all day long" Viktor commented.

"Oh well, I can't deny that fact but please take a bath! Now hurry we should be home by now" Klaus said.

"Alright" They said. The three are ready to go back until Hansel…

"Hey wait I need to say goodbye to Sitron" Hansel exclaimed before running inside the stable and making brothers turn leaving them both alone.

"So you gave Hansel a chance?" Klaus asked.

"Yes…and you are right, she truly is great companion" Viktor admitted.

"See I told you" Klaus bragged making Viktor roll his eyes.

"I wonder why I haven't notice this, well despite my assertiveness but still…" Viktor trailed off.

"You're not the only one" Klaus said, putting a hand on Viktor's shoulder.

"SITRON YOU ATE ALL THE APPLES!" Hansel yelled making the brothers laugh, loud enough for her to hear. Her heads peeks out of the door cheeks red from embarrassment making them stop and look at her.

"You guys heard?" She asked meekly and they nodded.

"It won't happen again" She silently declared before retreating back in the stable only making them laugh even harder with their sister storming up to them and telling them to be quite only to be pinched on the cheek as her face is as red as a tomato.

In the palace…

"Are you sure the doctor will do it right?" Hansel asked with concern painted on her voice.

"Yes of course he will, he's an expert of horses remember?" Klaus said.

"Yeah but still" She insisted while Viktor watched the entire play out with an amused smile on his face.

"Ugh! You look horrible! Especially you sister" A voice spat with more emphasis on "sister" part. They turned and Hansel saw the last person she wish to see.

"I mean honestly you look much better in those rags" Nikolaus mocked, clearly to Hansel making her glare.

"Come on now don't give that look" Nikolaus mocked again.

"Nikolaus" Viktor hissed but Klaus stopped him before doing anything rash.

"Nikolaus I believe you owe an apology to our sister here" Klaus said gently as he gestures his hand to a still-glaring Hansel.

"I am a glorious person who have nothing to apologize especially to a runt" Nikolaus once again mocked.

"Listen here-" Viktor was ready to stride up to younger brother and give him a very good scolding until he felt a firm grip on his arm. Assuming it is Klaus, he turn to face him with a glare but fell but when he sees Hansel gripping him instead who looked concerned and shooked her head. Clearly stating "no". As much as he want doesn't want to it he decides to back down for his sister.

"What's wrong Vicky? Turning soft like Klaus here" Nikolaus sneered making Viktor grit his teeth but was able to hold his anger back.

"Look Nikolaus have something much more important to do other than ridicule our sister here?" Klaus said. Nikolaus huffed.

"You're right, I shouldn't be here spending my time with the runt and letting her breath the same air as I" Nikolaus said proudly, not really caring of what he said and how it affects everyone.

"Good" Klaus said.

"Come along sister" Klaus said as he pats her arm to follow along.

"As you wish, brother" She said flawlessly with high dignity to show that Nikolaus' words did not affect her at all, even though it hurts deep inside. Klaus nodded before looking at Klaus.

"You too Viktor" Klaus said before turning and walking away with Hansel.

"Why are you still here? Or better yet why am I still here?" Nikolaus demnded before ready to walk away to a different direction but was stopped when Viktor's hand latched on Nikolaus' arm.

"How dare you touch me with your-" Nikolaus' sentence was cut off before it was finished when Viktor decides not to let him finish.

"Let's talk" Viktor said earning a menacing glare from Nikolaus.

Hansel felt like somethings missing so she turns to see Viktor not following them.

"Klaus, where's Viktor?" Asked a concerned Hansel making them stop.

"I don't know, I thought he's been with us the whole time" Klaus said.

"I bet it's Nikolaus" She hissed.

"Hansel don't say such – Oh no, maybe you're right" He said.

"We have to stop him before he does anything rash" He declared "Again" He added. He makes a run to the exact same hallway with Hansel picking up her skirt and chase after him but stopped when she saw Klaus bump into Viktor causing both to fall on the ground.

"Viktor!" Klaus yelled.

"What?!" Viktor demanded rather than asked.

"Where were you? I thought you were behind us the whole time" Klaus demanded as he stood up and helped Viktor up to his feet.

"I was…but I stopped for a reason" Viktor answered plainly.

"Don't tell me you talked to Nikolaus did you?" Klaus sound like he's begging hoping it wasn't the "Viktor-talked-to Nikolaus-for-what-he-said" thing.

"Of course not!" Viktor I defended.

"Then what did you do then" Klaus demanded.

"Were you tying your boots" Hansel asked starling them both, they forgot she's been here the whole time. This is Viktor's chance of escape.

"Yes, I was tying my boots" Viktor declared making Klaus look down at his boots and notice they're still a bit of a mess.

"Doesn't look like you did a well job" Klaus sneered clearly not buying the lie. Viktor sees his sister mouthing words at him behind Klaus' shoulder, unaware on what she's doing.

"Of course I didn't because you saw I'm mad at Nikolaus but I did follow behind, I notice my laces of my boots are a complete mess to I tried fixing it" Viktor said "Unfortunately, I did believe you think I talked to Nikolaus since I fell behind a bit, so I immediately come here so you won't think I did talk to him" Viktor added. By the looks Klaus is giving, he totally bought it.

"Very well then" Klaus said which clearly announced he believed at the lie.

"Now get to your rooms and take a bath before dinner" Klaus said before turning his back and leaving Hansel and Viktor alone. Once he's totally gone, Viktor turns to his sister with a wide smile and she smirked at him.

"Thanks sister" He said.

"No problem…brother" Her smirk grew wider before she opens her mouth.

"What did you do back there?" She asked.

"Oh I just gave Nikolaus a talk" He admitted.

"What's it all about?" She asked with eyebrows furrowing.

"Oh just something useful" He said.

"What?" She asked getting more curious.

"You'll see tomorrow" He chuckled before getting in his room leaving Hansel to ponder of what he just said.

"What was that all about?" She asked herself before moving into her room and taking a bath and lands on her bed with a very wide grin on her face. She stares at the ceiling and happily thinks of the progress she made, never in her life she finally got attention from her two eldest brothers who are always too busy to even look at her! Her plan's going great! She plucked her diary out and flips it open and checks the box with Viktor's name on it. She hugged her notebook and let out a huff.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Hansel it's diner time! Don't tell me you're not hungry or I'll have myself kicking you're door down!" Klaus said half-serious and half-joking.

"Coming! Coming!" She yelled before stuffing her diary under the mattress and bolted downstairs.

Dinner was like a warzone since the twins started everything and William yelling at them, Andrew screaming when he saw Linus' rats, Robert silent as ever, Grant don't know how to use his silverware, Nikolaus bragging about how great he is and kept telling Fredbjorn to lose weight, but something was different, Viktor and Klaus would normally tell them to shut up but no they sit there normally with Hansel, whom they decide to change the seating to get her closer, talking about the events today. Letting the chaos ensue as they talked as if nothing happened.

After dinner, they all went to bed without saying a word except Klaus, Viktor, and Hansel who bid each goodbyes before going to their separate ways. Hansel lands on her bed and shuts her eyes, falling to dreamless sleep.

Notes: Why Viktor kept losing because at first he was going easy and Hansel is technically a decade younger than him, when he is no longer going easy Hansel's reflexes helped her a lot and the anger she build over the years of abuse, she decides to take it out on sparring and actually worked! Viktor believes Hansel is a better rival since Klaus is more-like a goody-two-shoes while Hansel is more feisty, and he never had a female rival. Also if you notice why Viktor seem to like cute things is because I want to put a trait that we never knew about him, Emma never mentioned this…I just add it up.
