Once Paul was settled beside her she turned her head and smiled at him, "I love you too. I didn't have chance to reply to your text at the end of the meeting but I do love you."

Kissing her cheek gently he thought that had been the case, "it's okay, I thought that would happen as I thought the meeting would end soon but I just wanted you to know that I do love you and I wasn't looking for anything when I complimented you."

Altering the ice on her knee she pulled her laptop onto her lap before she slipped her hand into his and squeezed it gently, "you're special to me, I am so grateful to have you in my life. Do you want to stick around to help me work on this new idea for the promo or do you have other stuff that you need to do?"

"Hmmm, gee I wonder. Would I prefer to sit here with my beautiful girlfriend or go and hang around with a bunch of people who really get on my nerves? That's a really hard decision for me."

Rolling her eyes at him she nudged him with her elbow, "so that's leaving then?"

Laughing he shook his head, "never. So let's get this promo worked out so your Dad can have the details before the next production meeting and then we can find some way to occupy ourselves."

Wiggling her eyebrows playfully she liked the idea of finding a way for them to occupy themselves, "sounds good to me." Reaching forward she grabbed her notes and set them on her laptop to check them over before she started work.

Walking into the men's locker room Vince looked around for Paul, "has anyone seen Hunter?"

There were a few murmurs where people discussed whether they'd seen him until someone said, "I saw him walking out of the trainer's room with some ice about ten or so minutes ago."

Nodding his head in acknowledgement Vince walked off leaving them all alone again whilst he contemplated how to play things next seeing as Paul was clearly spending a lot of time with Stephanie.

Walking back to his office he sat at his desk and pulled out his phone to call his wife to see if she had any wise words of advice. As he listened to the phone ring he hoped she wasn't in a meeting.

Working hard on keeping the office together whilst Vince was on the road Linda wasn't entirely surprised when she heard her cell phone ringing and looked at the caller display to see her husband's name, "so what have you done now?"

"Nothing, I just want some advice."

Putting her pen down Linda pushed her seat back a little, "well I can try to give you some advice if you really want it but you'll have to actually take the advice if you want me to continue to give it to you in the future."

Grumbling at how well his wife knew him he tried to pretend he was innocent, "I always take your advice. I need some advice about Stephanie though please."

Groaning she had a feeling that it would be all about Stephanie, "well I didn't know this was coming at all. If you're asking for advice on how to get her to talk to you then you're talking to the wrong person because I have already given you that advice and if you don't want to take it then that's on you."

"Ha ha, very funny Linda. My advice is actually about what I should do if I feel like she's not done as she's told."

Confused as to why he was asking this she wondered what he was thinking, "what exactly do you think you have told her not to do and that she may be doing."

"Seeing Paul."

Unable to stop herself Linda laughed at him, "of course she is, that is exactly why she ran far away from you and him and didn't even talk to him last week and tell him where she was. I seriously doubt that she is seeing him again and anyway there is no way that Stephanie would do that behind our backs."

Sighing that was what Vince thought but he didn't stop the feeling he had in his gut, "that's what the sensible part of me thought but after seeing them together yesterday and the way he is apparently waiting on her today because of her knee makes me think that there is more to it than we think."

"They can't shut their feelings off overnight Vince. It has only been a week since you forced them apart so you can't honestly expect them to turn off their feelings overnight and be simple work colleagues. Isn't it a good thing that he is taking care of Stephanie with her injury? Isn't that better than her doing it all herself and prolonging the injury?"

Not convinced that any thing was better than her just being completely honest with him he didn't entirely agree with her, "I should be the one to take care of her though, she's my daughter and as her Father I should be taking care of her."

Aware that she didn't have much more time before she had a telephone conference she needed to get him off the phone, "then take care of her. I am not suggesting you rush in there yourself but find different ways to make things easier for her and to take care of her."

It was like a light bulb went off in his head as an idea hit him, "I have it. Thanks Linda, I'll see you tonight when I get home."

Chuckling she was grateful that she had given him an idea and now he would leave her alone, "okay good. Now go away and be kind to our daughter."

"Yes dear, whatever you say dear."

Hanging up the phone Vince went off in search of one of the Divas to start his mission to get back in his daughter's good books.

Working hard on the promo for later Stephanie was really enjoying the opportunity to take her mind off everything else and focus her entire energy on this promo to make it the best that it could be whilst also spending some quality time with her boyfriend. As she looked at her boyfriend she couldn't help but think he looked the sexiest she'd ever seen him as he talked so passionately about the promo. Unable to stop herself she bent forward and pressed a kiss to his lips cutting him off mid flow.

Surprised by the kiss he didn't return it but as she pulled away he smiled, "what was that for?"

Shrugging her shoulders she didn't know what to say, "I don't know, I just thought you looked so sexy and so passionate as you talked that I couldn't help myself."

Resisting the urge to kiss her he just smiled, "I'm always this passionate about work."

"But it is so sexy today."

Wrapping his arm around her shoulder he pulled her close for a minute, "well thank you for calling me sexy but we really should focus on work, we need to get this promo sorted so we don't give your Dad another excuse to be pissed off and to punish us."

Rolling her eyes she rested her head on his shoulder, "like he needs another reason to punish us, I'm sure we only need to breathe in the wrong direction to get punished."

Out of nowhere the door to the locker room flew open and someone came barging through causing them both to quickly fly apart.
