After getting very little sleep on Tuesday night Stephanie woke up for work and wished she could rewind and get a few more hours sleep. Reluctantly climbing out of bed she went to shower before she got ready for work and made herself some breakfast which she proceeded to just push around the bowl without really eating any of it because she just didn't have an appetite for food right now before she ended up throwing the food out and finishing getting ready for work.

Arriving at work she made her way to her office smiling politely at the people she passed along the way as she walked through reception and up to her floor using the stairs instead of the elevator so she wasn't confined in a small space with anybody that wanted to know what was going on in her personal life.

Walking to her office she smiled politely at her secretary as she passed by her before she entered her office and shut the door firmly behind her, she had a lot of paperwork to tackle before she had to deal with meetings for the shows next week. Sitting down at her desk she turned her computer on and shrugged off her jacket ready to take her mind off the one person that she could never forget up until this point.

Vince had been busy all morning but his mind was always on his daughter, he wanted to check on her and see how she was but he knew that there was no way she would accept it so he had to just be patient and wait and see what Linda managed to find out later on.

Walking out of his final meeting of the morning just after two in the afternoon he was walking back to his office and was just about to pass Stephanie's Secretary when he had a thought and stopped to look at her, "good afternoon Jessica."

Jessica gulped when she saw her boss stood in front of her she was worried that she had done something wrong, "good afternoon Mr McMahon. How can I help you today?"

Vince smiled politely at her, "I was just wondering if you have seen much of Stephanie today?"

Shaking her head Jessica really hadn't, "I have only seen her about twice and that was only because I took her in a cup of coffee."

Frowning he didn't like the sound of that, "what about when she went for lunch?"

"She never went to lunch and I don't think she brought it with her so I don't think she has eaten anything at all because she has been so busy."

"This isn't good at all." Taking his wallet out of his pocket he pulled out twenty dollars and passed it to Jessica, "do me a favour and please go and buy Stephanie some lunch and make sure she eats it but you cannot tell her that I gave you the money or told you to go and get her some lunch."

Shrugging her shoulders she pushed back her seat and stood up, "not a problem Mr McMahon, I will get on it now."

Watching as his daughter's Secretary walked away he was satisfied that she wasn't skipping lunch and then went back to his own office to go back to his work.

Ten minutes after Vince had given her the money Jessica was back at Stephanie's office and knocking on her door not sure what sort of reception she would get as Stephanie had been rather quiet today and seemed rather distant. Knocking on the door she slowly pushed it open, "I come in peace."

Lifting her head Stephanie raised her eyebrow, "you do? Why?"

Stepping inside she held out the food towards her, "I brought you lunch and a coffee because you haven't stopped all day and I don't want you wasting away on me, I don't want to lose you as my boss because you're actually good to work for."

Smiling softly Stephanie shrugged, "I was busy and not hungry and I'm still not hungry really so I think I'll pass on the food please."

Shaking her head Jessica placed the food on her desk, "sorry but I don't take no for an answer when it comes to food, you need to eat or you'll make yourself sick."

"Are you my Mother?"

Shrugging her shoulders she said, "if I have to be I will."

Playfully rolling her eyes Stephanie shook her head, "fine fine, anything for a quiet life." Opening the sandwich she took a bite, "happy now?"

Nodding her head Jessica was satisfied, "it will do for now, thank you."

Walking out of the room she went back to work allowing Stephanie to go back to her work whilst eating her sandwich from time to time.

After spending the rest of the day working her ass off Stephanie was relieved when her work for the day was over and she could go home. Walking out of the office she kept her head down and avoided all eye contact until she was in her car all by herself and could breathe easy. Driving home when she pulled up outside of her house she was so relieved because she knew she would be alone now and she could go in and maybe try and call Paul a little later to see if he was free and wanted to talk to her.

Kicking off her shoes she shrugged off her jacket before she collapsed onto the couch sinking deep into the cushions and closing her eyes relishing the silence. She hadn't been sat on the couch for long when her doorbell rang and she could have cried desperately unhappy at the interruption. Pushing herself up from the couch she made her way to the door to see who it was and she was hoping whomever it was would leave quickly so she could go back to being alone.

Tossing up getting himself a rental car when he arrived at the airport in Connecticut Paul eventually decided against it so he could live under the radar at her house if she was willing to have him. Grabbing a cab outside of the airport he instructed them to drive to Stephanie's house in the hopes of getting a warm welcome from her and not the door shut in his face.

When the cab pulled up at her door he was nervous but quickly paid the fare and got out watching as the cab pulled away before he went and knocked on the door waiting for an answer.

Opening the door Stephanie was surprised when she saw her boyfriend stood in front of her, "what are you doing here?"

Shrugging his shoulders he couldn't gauge her reaction very well, "well you see I heard a rumour that my girlfriend lived here so I thought I would come and spend some time with her but if I'm not welcome I can always leave again."

Picking his suitcase up he went to turn around and walk away all in fun but stopped when she grabbed his arm and then quickly flung her arms around his neck holding him tightly, "I'm so glad you are here."

Pulling away from him as quickly as she had hugged him she grabbed his one free hand and led him inside the house slamming the door shut behind him before she wrapped her arms around his neck again and kissed his cheek gently.

Letting go of his suitcase he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and kissed the top of her head, "I'm going to guess that you don't want me to leave?"

Shaking her head she didn't want him to leave at all, it was only when they were apart that she realised how much she wanted him to be with her, "I want you to stay."

Smiling he pulled her back by the shoulders so he could look into her eyes, "I want to stay here too. Where can I put my stuff?"

Taking his hand she led him up the stairs to the Master bedroom, "here it is."

Dropping his bags in the corner of the room he sat down on the bed with a bounce, "I love your bed."

Laughing softly at him she walked over to him and climbed onto the bed straddling his legs, "I love you." Wrapping her arms around his neck she pulled him closer and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

Sliding his arms around her waist he moved one up into her hair holding her head close whilst his other hand held her around the waist keeping her body close as he deepened the kiss before he slowly fell backwards on the bed to just content to hold her if that was what she wanted but whatever she wanted it would be all her decision.

Allowing herself to lay on top of him as he lay back on the bed she kept her arms around him happy to have him close to her again. Deepening the kiss a little she knew they hadn't gone there since they had gotten back together but having him here with her now she was ready and she wanted him to know that so she slipped her arms from around his neck to between them to gently rub his chest.

Feeling her hands on his chest he knew what she wanted and he wanted it to but he had to be certain. Slowly pulling away from the kiss as best he looked her deep in the eyes, "are you sure about this?"

Nodding her head she loved how sweet he was and how well he took care of her, "I'm sure."

Pulling her closer he smiled softly and just before their lips met again he said, "I love you."

"I love you too."

Collapsing on top of him entirely she kissed him passionately relaxing completely into his body letting things between them progress at the speed they were happy with.
