Chapter 26 : Number One Contendership
Impact Zone - Ring
The show that night was going off without incident , Flair was gone , the Jarretts were gone thanks to Angle and Chyna , Kazarian and the X - Division Army had dealt with Abyss , Sting had taken care of Bischoff and Hogan , Harris with the assist from Eric Young had defeated Gunner , and AJ , Daniels , and Bobby eliminated Steiner , Matt , and Rob Terry . But , now it was time for the Knockouts match between Autumn and Madison Rayne to find out who got to face Gail for the Knockouts Championship .
" Queen Bee " played in the arena announcing Madison Rayne coming down to the ring and by her side was Gail Kim , the Knockouts Champion to both watch her friends back and watch the match to see who would be her up coming opponent . " So Beautiful, So Evil " then sounded in the arena as Autumn Wilder , now announced as the Dark Angel came down to the ring with Jackie Moore to everyone ' s surprise including Gail Kim who glared at both of them . Both Madison and Autumn now stood in the ring staring down each other as Jackie and Gail stepped outside of the ring as ref called for the bell .
The match went how it usually does the girls locking up and trying to get the better of the other with Madison trying to cheat on several occasions . When Autumn was on the top rop trying to do a high risk move Rayne distracted the referee which allowed Gail to knock Autumn off of the top rope to the floor , Jackie came around the ring and tackled Gail Kim because of it . Autumn ' s shoulder was hurting from the fall because of the landing she took on the floor , but powered her way out of it going right back . Gail Kim was finally taken out when she tried to interfere one last time which ended in Jackie chasing Gail out from around ring side to the back .
Autumn was now alone in the ring with Madison which allowed her to finally get in some high offense , many times Madison would nail her sore shoulder with a move which put Autumn in even more pain . Finally Autumn had enough and used a Hurricarana which threw Rayne out of the ring and onto the flow close to the ring entrance . Autumn without hesitation ran strait towards the turnbuckle up to the top rop and did a moonsault to the floor onto Madison Rayne which made the fans come alive . The Dark Angel then threw Madison Rayne back into the ring and used her Triangle Choke or Iron Maiden submission move causing Rayne to tap out giving Autumn the victory . The ref held Autumn ' s good arm up because her bad shoulder was still hurting .
Autumn climbed out of the ring holding her shoulder , but smiling since she was now the number one contender for Gail Kim ' s Knockout Title . She then walked up the ramp and back through the curtain .
Impact Zone - Backstage
As soon as Autumn got backstage , she pulled her gloves and elbow pads off to take pressure off of her left shoulder .
" Autumn , " Bobby , the rest of Fortune , and Jackie were finally there .
" Hey , guys , Storm you ' re up next . " Autumn said .
" Yeah , but what about your shoulder ? " James looked at her .
" Go ahead and deal with Bully Ray , I will handle the shoulder . " Autumn said .
" Sure , " Storm said walking towards the entrance ramp with his ring gear on and World Title in hand .
" Alright , lets get you to the medic so they can check your shoulder out . " Jackie said .
" Okay , you ' re coming with me Enforcer . " Autumn putting her good arm around Bobby .
" Sure , guys watch Storm . " Bobby looked at AJ , Daniels , and Kazarian .
" We will , " The three agreed with Roode .
Autumn , Jackie , and Bobby walked off to the medic as Storm went out to defend the World Championship from Bully Ray .
Impact Zone - Medic Room
Bobby knocked on the medic ' s door who told them to come in .
" What can I do for you ? " The medic asked .
" Have one here with a hurt shoulder . " Bobby looked at Autumn as the girls walked in behind Roode .
" Sit up on the table and I will take a look . " The medic said .
Autumn did what she was told and quickly pointed for Bobby to stand on her right side due to being a little frightened of a medical room . The Canadian Enforcer didn ' t hesitate to do as Autumn asked of him as he stood beside her , she took his hand into hers .
" You ' re okay , no one will hurt you with me here . " Bobby said .
" I know , I just need someone fearless helping me right now and you are definitely fearless . " Autumn said .
" I ' m going to check and see if Traci needs any help right now . " Jackie said realizing Autumn wanted to be alone with Bobby at the moment .
" Okay , thanks for earlier girl . " Autumn looked at Miss Jackie .
" No problem and Sting informed me right after your match that when you face Gail for the Knockouts Title , I will have a match against Madison . " Jackie said .
" Meaning you will be taking out the problem before I step in the ring with Gail ? " Autumn asked .
" Exactly and with the Jarretts going to Mexico for a little while they won ' t be here to bug us either . " Jackie said .
" Thank God , " Autumn and Roode both said .
" See you two later . " Miss Moore said walking out of the medic room .
Now that they were alone Roode turned to Autumn with a concerned look on his face .
" So , how are you really feeling ? " Roode asked .
" Bobby , I ' m fine , besides the hurt shoulder I ' ve never felt better than I do right now . " Autumn said .
" You scared me with the moonsault at the end of the match . " Bobby said .
" My bad , but its not the first time I ' ve done a high risk move like that babe . " Autumn putting her head on his shoulder .
The medic came to the table before anything else could be said .
" Alright , lets take a look at your shoulder . " The medic said .
The medic took a look at Autumn ' s left shoulder , he moved and twisted it around making her wince .
" I know you are going to argue against it , but I really think you should have an X-ray done on your shoulder to make sure it isn ' t something serious . " The medic said making Autumn shiver at the thought of going to a hospital .
" But , I ' m . . . " Autumn started to say before Bobby stopped her .
" Autumn , I know you don ' t like hospitals , but this maybe the one time you should go with what the medic says . " Bobby said .
Autumn thought about it for a minute finally sighing to herself .
" Okay , I will go , but only if you go with me . " Autumn touched Bobby ' s chest .
" I can definitely do that . " Bobby agreed .
" Can I wait until after Storm ' s match ? " Autumn looked at the medic .
" Yeah , but let me immobilize it and give you ice to keep your shoulder from swelling . " The medic said .
" Sure , " Autumn said .
Autumn and Bobby soon left the medic room with Autumn ' s shoulder taped up and an ice pack to keep the swelling down .
Fortune ' s Locker Room
Autumn and Bobby walked into Fortune ' s locker room where AJ , Daniels , Kaz , Jackie , and Traci were waiting on them and keeping an eye on what was going on in the Cowboy ' s World Title defense .
" How bad is it ? " AJ asked looking at Autumn ' s taped up shoulder .
" I have to go to hospital after James ' s match to have X-rays done on it . I am hoping its not that bad , I don ' t want to have to give up the number one contendership to the Knockouts Title . " Autumn said .
" So , how is Storm doing ? " Roode looking at Storm and Bully fighting in the ring .
" He ' s been holding his own pretty good man , but Bully isn ' t making it easy for him . " Daniels said .
It wasn ' t long before James used the Last Call Superkick to knock out Bully Ray and get the victory retaining the World Title . He was now back in Fortune ' s locker room getting many hugs and congrats from his friends .
" Everything was a success tonight as far as matches go and keeping Immortal at bay , lets keep this up until they are no more . " Kaz said .
" Yeah , but now I need to get Autumn to the hospital . " Roode said .
" Good luck , darlin . " Storm said .
" Thanks and nice win out there Cowboy . " Autumn smiled .
The two then said their good nights to the group and left for the Orlando Hospital to have Autumn ' s shoulder checked out .
