Nnoitra was naturally gifted at hating the cold, he wasn't sure why but he knew being thrown over the railing an into the freezing river was a bad thing especially when it began to make him disoriented. Ichigo jumped down into the water, it was freezing cold and the middle of august but he needed to know if that was really Nnoitra. He heard a clicking noise and what sound like a breathy hiss and jumped back. He looked again and saw...nothing absolutely nothing?!

Ichigo knew he wasn't going crazy there was just..."Kurosaki-kun look out!" Orihime shrieked just before something barrelled into Ichigo. It was shaped like a foot!? Ichigo grabbed it and bit down hard. He heard a relieving shriek and had an odd coin thrown at him. A cube? No it looked like...like a white square locket with a key hole at the top. It fit snugly into his hand and had an engraved circle in the front surrounded by a design of white ivy that covered the rest of it. He could see it fine because of the light from the street and Ulquiorra's battle...Ulquiorra's battle!? Ichigo turned around quickly to see Nnoitra using his scythes to slash at Ulquiorra's wings which he was currently using to defend himself though by the looks of the gashes along Nnoitra's body he was obviously winning but...they were close in power levels so the match was only a bit less even.

Ichigo threw the locket and attempted to stun Nnoitra as he ran forwards and kicked him off him stunning him again but all of a sudden the wind swirled and when it was finished the locket fell down...alone. Ichigo walked near and picked it up by it's new golden chain. That wasn't the only change, the ivy was golden and the circle had changed to a praying mantis. The key hole had changed to a key.

"Hey! Thanks I've been tracking that Puppet for days! My radar went crazy and well there you go-!" The young man said, as he snatched the locket he saw Ichigo's face and laughed" This is a seal! It's what we use to store Puppets to bring them back to HQ! Puppet's are supposed to stay sealed 'till they get a master!"

"M-master?! That's just wrong you shouldn't enslave others! Give me that!" Orihime yelled.

"Wha-?! Watch it! You've already got a puppet!" He barked scratching his brown hair, he had one hand on his white washed jeans and both feet on the floor, he wasn't moving an inch.

Orihime clutched to his black T-shirt and started ranting at him about how cruel he was being. Ichigo glanced at Ulquiorra both knew the only way to make Orihime happy was to not step but heartlessly throw themselves into the fire, but they would just bear it. Just then the guy occidentally threw the thing backwards. All stared in shock as it bopped underwater into the fast flowing river.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" He screamed dashing onto his motorbike and taking the road alongside the river.

"That should him busy for a while may we continue on?" Ulquiorra took off ignoring Orihime's confused look and Ichigo's cries of-

"Whad'he mean she already has a Puppet?!"

Sora Natsuki was just walking home from school, so far he'd only been stolen from twice and that was just in money! At least when he got home he'd be able to make himself some dinner.

"Hah! Dinner- at midnight? Wow today sure turned out interesting!" He was passing by the river, he lived in the part of town that didn't have railings so it was easy to fall in " I wish things would turn out my way for once, just a-a dog! Or a cat, cat's work too! Heh, I'd stick for a dumb bird if I could afford one..."

It listened..."Ugh, I just wish I had a friend or something! Anything! I'd give up everything for someone or something that didn't just called me that weird kid and ignore me!" He felt them and let them fall, he'd long since stopped holding in tears when he realized all the teachers said was to 'stop disturbing class' in history and 'suck it up' in gym class.

It was supposed to answer to those with a build up of reiatsu in them, answer their wish, their call, it didn't even no what to call itself or if it had a calling, curing the world by making peoples dreams come true...yes.

He suddenly heard a sound like a splash...there was another one! Was something drowning he went forward and saw a small bubble pop at the surface of the water. He waded in and picked up...a locket? It burst open and there was a small Mantis in it's wake white with golden wings it was shivering. He brought it to a street light and stared down at it, it was too big! about the size of his two hands. It looked up at him in curiosity. He took his bag which had seen better years and put him in it, a bit forcefully when he began to realize what was happening and closed it.

He thrust both arms in the air in victory " H-Hahahaha-ha~ I-I finally afforded a pet!" And began to run home with his bag.
