As soon as she had managed to stop crying and compose herself Stephanie drove home just needing to be in her boyfriend's arms and for him to tell her that it would all be okay. Arriving home she practically ran to the front door fumbling with her keys in the lock before she unlocked it and immediately shut the door behind her locking it and throwing her bag on the floor and her keys on the table before she hurried into the lounge grateful to see her boyfriend sat there relaxed.
Paul heard the door open and just wanted to give her a minute to join him before he jumped on her so continued watching television whilst he waited. Zoning out briefly with thoughts of his girlfriend and how it had gone on his mind he failed to notice her come into the room until she sat in his lap wrapping her arms around him holding on tightly as she snuggled into him.
Sighing happily as she snuggled into her boyfriend holding on tightly just being here with him made her feel a thousand times better than she had been feeling since she arrived at her parent's.
Kissing the top of her head he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her tightly against him and holding onto her because it seemed to be what she needed, "I guess I don't need to ask how it went."
"Horrible, it was horrible."
Switching the TV off using the remote he turned his full attention to her, "that bad huh? What did he say?"
Unconsciously she balled her hands into fists as she thought about it, "that he didn't think it would be a problem to split us up as it was too soon for our feelings to have really developed and he also said he couldn't have the unrest in the locker room. I kind of lost my temper with him, I didn't throw anything at him or shout at him but I told him how it is. I told him that I refused to do more than my job description and I also told him that I would be working from home more so we can spend a lot of time down at the beach house if you want."
He knew she was running away from her problems but he also knew right now was not the time to actually tackle her on it because she was struggling so much emotionally with what was going on it would only push her away from him. Kissing the top of her head he rubbed her back gently, "I would love to when I have free time."
Relaxing hearing him say that she closed her eyes, "thank you. So what did you have for dinner? You did eat right?"
Laughing he nodded his head, "I ate. I cooked myself a stir fry and I even washed up and put all of the dishes away after too."
Kissing his neck because it was the closest piece of skin to her without having to move she smiled, "you didn't have to but thank you. Do you know when you have to leave?"
Slipping his hand beneath the back of her shirt he rubbed her lower back gently, "I have to be at the airport about 8 in the morning I am afraid. I have got to book a taxi yet, I kind of forgot so if you could give me a number to save me looking for one so I can spend more time here I'd like that."
Lifting her head she looked him directly in the eyes, "you don't need one, I will drop you off at the airport in the morning before I go to the offices and don't you dare argue with me on this."
Laughing at the look on her face he nodded his head, "consider my plans made and me eternally grateful, thank you baby. What would you like to do now?"
Shrugging her shoulders she didn't really want to do anything, "nothing? Can't we just go and snuggle in bed please?"
Quickly moving his one hand beneath her knees he stood up in one quick movement, "to bed we go."
Laughing she kicked her legs a little, "put me down, I need to lock up."
Pouting playfully he slowly bent down to put her feet back on the floor, "you can't say I am not a romantic."
Standing on tiptoes she kissed him quickly "I know and thank you."
Turning to the kitchen she quickly went to make sure everything was turned off and it was all locked up before she checked on the lounge turning the TV off properly before she checked on the front door. It was only when she had finished locking up and turning things off she realised that Paul had disappeared. Picking her bag up off the floor she took it upstairs with her.
When Stephanie had gone into the kitchen Paul saw it as his opportunity to do something nice for her so he quickly made his way up the stairs to the en-suite bathroom and began to run her a bath.
Walking into her bedroom she expected to see Paul sprawled out on the bed but when she didn't she figured he was getting a shower as she could hear running water so she put her bag on the floor and decided to get changed.
After filling the bath with water and bubbles he walked back into the bedroom and was relieved to see her there so he didn't have to go looking for her, "are you ready for your bath?"
Jumping a little at the sound of his voice she spun around to face him confused to see him fully dressed, "I thought you were showering?"
Shaking his head he leant against the wall, "nope, I was running you a bath so you can have a nice relax. Now before you say it I know you said you wanted to snuggle with me in bed but I wanted to pamper you a little whilst I could."
Nodding her head she couldn't turn down a little pampering, "okay, that sounds nice but only if you join me and then we both get what we want."
Reaching his hand out to her he smiled as she slipped her hand into his before they headed into the bathroom to enjoy a nice bath before they climbed into bed to relax before they had to get up relatively early in the morning.
It was 6am and Stephanie's alarm was beeping but it took a lot for her to actually turn the damn thing off because she knew what it meant. Reluctantly slamming her fist on the alarm to turn it off she rolled out of bed to go and shower even though she didn't really want to.
Whilst she showered Paul went downstairs and got some breakfast together for the both of them and ate his whilst he waited and then he showered and dressed whilst she ate hers.
It was just about seven when the two of them were walking out of the door, neither of them had really approached the subject of the fact that he was leaving but as he put his luggage in the trunk he decided now was the best time to do it, "so would it be okay if I called you tonight?"
Looking at him strangely she didn't understand why he was asking, "to be honest I would be offended if you didn't."
Shrugging his shoulders before he quietly shut the trunk he had to put this delicately, "you've just been a bit funny this morning so I wasn't sure if it would be easier not to speak to me or something?"
Shaking her head that would be the worst thing he could do, "definitely not. I just hate that you have to leave and I will be honest, I am a little cranky about it but I will get over it as I see you again on Monday."
"Yes you will. I have an early house show on Sunday so I will be at the hotel at the site of Raw on Sunday evening so we won't have to fight around travel to talk."
Not even sure why she was reluctant to be affectionate towards him in her own driveway she just nodded her head and straightened out her suit rather than giving him a hug, "I will let you call me this weekend because you know when you're not driving okay? This way if you are too tired to talk you won't feel like you have to."
He didn't know why she would think that he didn't want to talk to her but he was eager to straighten it out, "don't worry I will definitely call you every night so we will talk unless you're asleep. We should get going though because you have to get to work too."
That word used to excite her but now it just filled with dread, "I guess I do. Come on then."
The two of them got in the car before she drove him to the airport.
