A/N: Time for the big Knockouts Championship match between Autumn and Gail Kim .
Disclaimer : I do not own Fortune , Traci Brooks , Chris Harris , the X - Division , the Motorcity Machine Guns or any other TNA wrestler . I do own Autumn Wilder , the nickname Dark Angel for Autumn , the name of Autumn ' s wrestling moves , and the story . I do not own Bret Hart who will be making an appearance in this story .
Chapter 31 : Dumping Immortal
Nashville , TN - Municipal Auditorium
Everything was running smoothly for Fortune against Immortal in the Municipal Auditorium , mostly because Hogan , Bischoff , and the Jarretts were not there to cause problems . The X-Division Title had successfully changed hands with Abyss losing to Brian Kendrick with the combined efforts of the X-Division Army , Kazarian , Petey , and RVD causing distractions for the Monster and allowing Kendrick to get the upper hand . The celebration for the Kendrick finally beating Abyss was huge with all of the members of the X-Division coming out to congratulate Kendrick even AJ and Daniels joined them . Gunner and Bully Ray lost to Chris Harris and Eric Young , with Eric pinning Gunner giving EY a number one contendership for Gunner ' s TV title . AJ and Daniels had dealt with Matt and Rob Terry . Flair and Roode had gotten into it during the night after Flair had made some smart remark about none of the Fortune boys having any class , Roode tried to break Flair ' s arm for the legends smart remarks . Next up though was the Knockouts Championship match , one of the two matches everyone was paying close attention , to due to the fact both matches could shift the balance of power in either Fortune or Immortal ' s favor depending on what happened that night .
The arena got quiet as So Beautiful , So Evil played in the arena as Autumn made her way to the ring , she was a bit nervous due to how big this match was compared to the others she had wrestled in the past . Gail Kim came out next to the ring by herself due to Madison Rayne being taken out earlier by Jackie Moore . Gail hand the ref the Knockouts Championship belt who held it up for the audience to see . Then he handed the belt to JB on the outside of the ring and then called for the bell .
Autumn and Gail stared at each other for a moment circling in the ring to try and get a better advantage point , then both girls locked up . Autumn could feel a little bit of the pressure in the left shoulder , but ignored it and concentrated on the match instead . Gail several times in the match used the injury to her advantage by hitting Autumn in the bad shoulder cause the challenger to wince back , but Gail was letting her go that easily . Autumn finally stuck her foot in Gail ' s gut causing the current Knockouts Champion to stumble back and hold her stomach giving Autumn enough space to use a Swinging Neckbreaker on her and moved back to take a deep breath . Then Autumn picked Gail up from the mat and threw her into one of the corners of the ring . Autumn followed up by running at giving Gail a couple of back elbows to the face and then a stiff kick to stomach causing Gail to drop .
When Autumn went to do a moonsault off the top turnbuckle on to Gail , Gail got her knees up into Autumn ' s gut and then tried to pin Autumn , but only got a two count from the ref . Gail and Autumn continued to give each other back in forth through the rest of the match proving that both ladies were good , but Gail towards the end of the match try to use her Eat Defeat finisher which Autumn turned around into a Corkscrew Neckbreaker . Autumn the decided to punish Gail a little bit for hitting her shoulder earlier and used the Iron Maiden on Gail , but Gail got her foot on the bottom rope . Autumn finally used the Enzuigiri on Gail causing her to go facedown on the mat . Autumn finished Gail off with her Wheel of Destiny Shining Wizard move and then pinned Gail for the three count .
" Your winner and new Knockouts Champion the Dark Angel , Autumn Wilder . " JB announced as the ref got the belt and gave it to Autumn .
Autumn looked at the belt for moment not sure what to say , do , or thing and then it came to her that she beat Gail and won the Knockouts Championship . She climbed to the second turnbuckle closest to the exit to the stage and held up the Knockouts Championship for everyone to see as the fans cheered her on .
Autumn then walked up the ramp smiling as she shook hands with the audience and left through the curtain .
Backstage
As soon as Autumn got backstage Bobby was lifting her into a big bearhug .
" I knew you could do it , I just knew , I just knew it , we will celebrate tonight with the guys . " Bobby said hugging her .
" Thanks Bobby , " Autumn said laying her head on his shoulder .
" You okay ? " Bobby asked as the rest of Fortune , Harris , EY , Traci , Jackie , Petey , and the rest of the X - Division Army got to her .
" Yeah , I am taking a moment to think about what just happened . " Autumn said happy tears coming down her face on to Bobby ' s shoulder .
" Don ' t start crying Dark Angel . " James said .
" Its not sad tears Storm , its happy tears . After everything I have been through , I am finally able to say happily that all of it wasn ' t for nothing . This Knockouts Title here symbolizes for me that dreams can be made real and that all of the pain , the hard work , and the issues I ' ve had to deal was worth going through to be able to have both the people I love in my life and the proof that nothing is impossible if you believe in it and work hard enough for it . " Autumn smiled .
" Sounds good to me . " Storm agreed as the others cheered for Autumn .
" I love you so much . " Bobby kissed making the other boys gag .
" I love you too , Bobby . After all , I would still be stuck in that place if you hadn ' t given me the courage to run in the first place . It was you who taught me how to let go of those chains that were my burden for so long and it was you who took me to Petey and Scott to be trained . " Autumn smiled .
" Glad I could help . " Bobby hugged her again .
" And of course I have the rest of Fortune to thank for helping me run from that place as well . " Autumn looked at the other four members of Fortune .
" We would do it again in heartbeat sis . " Storm said .
" Yep , I will even ride down the road with a gassy , Fallen Angel again to help you out kid . " AJ said making the others laugh .
" Hey , " Daniels said .
" Thanks AJ for bring back painful memories . " Kazarian said .
" Maybe we should have let Daniels lead the charge down the ramp to help Brian . " Amazing Red said .
" Guys , its not nice to tease your friends when they have personal issues they can ' t control . " Daniels folded his arm .
" We are just messing with you CD . " AJ said .
" Yeah , group hug . " Eric Young said smushing everyone into a group hug with the help of the Cowboy .
" Thanks EY . " Daniels said because he was in the middle of the group .
" Uhm , Cowboy , don ' t you have a match to get to ? " Roode asked .
" Oh , yeah , I have to go face Anderson , later guys . " Storm said heading to the ring entrance with the World Title belt .
" By the way , I think a congrats are in order for Kendricks too , winning the X - Division Championship from Abyss . " Autumn said .
" True , that and when Cowboy beats Mr. Asshole then all the power will soon be back on the good side . " Harris said .
" Glad to help bring down Immortal guys . " Kendricks said .
" Yeah , this will leave EY to take the TV Title from Gunner , but what about the Tag Titles that Scott Steiner and Rob Terry hold ? " Kazarian asked .
" AJ and Daniels will be working on that as soon as I get word back from the TNA Executives . " Sting approached the group with Bret and D ' Amore .
" Sweet , they shouldn ' t be able to handle the combined efforts of one of the original tag teams . " Roode said .
" I agree , " Harris said .
" Even with the experience factor coming from Steiner it should be no problem for AJ and Daniels . " Kazarian said .
" As long as we keep the Immortal rats at bay everything will work smoothly both in the Tag Team Titles and TV Title matches . " Daniels said .
" And looks like Storm ' s got this match wrapped up . " AJ said pointing at the screen as the Cowboy knocked Mr. Anderson with the Last Call picking up the pinfall and retaining the TNA World Title .
" Hmm , something tells me Bischoff and Hogan will be pissed when they get back . " Kazarian said .
" Serves them right for messing with TNA . " Harris said .
" The nights a success guys . " Storm said as he returned backstage from the ring .
" We knew the Cowboy could deal with Anderson . " Roode said .
" Aw shucks guys . " James blushed .
" Daddy , " Makayla ran to Storm , but Immortal stepped in the way .
" Sorry brat looks daddy and his friends are getting cut off . " Scott Steiner stepped up as Gunner , Bully Ray , Matt Hardy , Rob Terry , Ric Flair , Abyss , and the newest member of Immortal , Mr. Anderson stepped up .
" Stay away from my daughter . " Storm glared about to put his hands on Steiner , when Matt and Bully picked up Makayla .
" I don ' t think that is a good idea , Cowboy . " Matt said .
" Unless you want your little girl hurt . " Bully added .
" Hey put me down , you ' re scaring me . I want my daddy . " Makayla began to cry .
" You better put her down right now unless you want me to hurt every last one of you . " James growled as Fortune , Chris and the rest of the group against Immortal stepped up ready to help the Cowboy .
" Not so fast Cowboy or I will tell the Monster here to start pulling every last hair out of her head . " Flair said putting to Abyss .
" Flair , why don ' t you do everyone a favor and put the kid down safely . " Bret said surprisingly calm .
" Well , what did they have to do to get you here Bret or are you concerned for your nieces safety ? " Flair pointing at Autumn .
" How do you know ? " Autumn asked .
" I have my ways kid . " Flair said .
" Then go on with your ways and leave Storm ' s daughter out of this . " Roode got in Flair ' s face .
" Or you will see what happens when you mess with family . " Harris added backing Bobby up .
" I think we will let Abyss have her instead . " Bully went to hand her to Abyss , but someone large grabbed him by the throat .
" That ' s not a good idea Bully . " Everybody looked to see Rhyno standing behind Bully Ray .
" I would advise you Matt Hardy to leave the kid alone or I will make sure my friends deal with you in away that won ' t be to your liking . " Devon Dudley said making Matt put Makayla down and turn to face Devon .
Storm grabbed Makayla before things got out of hand and gave her to Traci .
" Take her back to the Fortune locker room . " James whispered in Traci ' s ear .
" No problem . " Traci taking Makayla and leaving for Fortune ' s locker room .
" Now that the girl is safe we will deal with you wackos now . " Rhyno said and charging right after the first man in front of him which happened to be Bully and Gored him .
" After them , " Flair said as the other Immortal guys ran after Rhyno and Devon who hightailed it back towards the emergancy exits with Immortal on their tails .
" Why is Rhyno and Devon running from ? " Petey asked .
" They are going with the plan . " Kurt Angle walked up .
" What plan ? " Daniels and Kazarian asked .
" The plan to drop Immortal off in the middle of nowhere and then let Bischoff know where to find them . " Angle said .
" Sounds good , but what about him ? " Storm pointed at Bully Ray .
" Bring him to the emergancy exit . " Angle said .
" Right , " Roode and Harris picked up Bully and went in the direction Rhyno and Devon went with the other members of Immortal following them .
When the group got there , they saw Rhyno and Devon on the other side of the entrance with a big tarp in between them and Immortal running after them when someone in the shadows pulled a rope across the pathway . The Immortal guys tripped over the rope and through the tarp into a big eighteen-wheeler .
" Hey , you guys forgot one . " Harris said .
" Toss him in guys . " Devon said .
Roode and Harris tossed Bully Ray Dudley into the back of the truck with his fellow Immortal members where Rhyno closed the back of the truck .
" Okay , Christian , Raven , you guys can go drop the load off . " Rhyno said .
" Sure thing , " Christian and Raven called back as Christian started up the truck and took off with Immortal in the back of truck .
" We will follow them to help . " Devon and Rhyno said .
" Yeah , and thanks for getting my daughter back . " Storm said .
" Don ' t worry Storm . " Rhyno said as he followed Devon out the door to their car and followed the truck .
" So , exactly whose plan was this ? " Sting asked Kurt Angle .
" His , " Kurt pointed at a purple - haired man next to the door .
" Jeff Hardy . " The group looked at him .
" That would be me and if you guys don ' t mind . I need to go help Rhyno , Devon , Christian , and Raven deal with dumping Immortal off . " Jeff said getting on his motorcycle and following the truck as well .
" This keeps getting stranger by the minute . " Autumn said .
" Yeah , but I need to check on Makayla . " James said running towards the Fortune locker room . Most of the group followed him except for the X-Division Army who headed towards their locker room .
Autumn also stayed back looking towards the way Hardy and the truck with Immortal headed wondering how many people knew about her past .
" Autumn , " Bret had stayed behind with her .
" Uncle Bret , how many other people knew about me outside of the Hart Family ? " Autumn asked .
" Many of our friends knew about your birth , but no one knew where you and your mother went after your dad died . " Bret said .
" How many of them were in the wrestling business ? " Autumn asked .
" A few of them were . " Bret answered .
" Any of them in or aligned with Immortal ? " Autumn looked at her uncle .
" Only Jeff Jarrett , he use to be your dad ' s tag partner years ago . " Bret answered .
" Which is why they started digging up information on me ? " Autumn looked down realizing that she had to help break Jarrett away from Immortal .
" Probably , but for now think of happy thoughts . You won the Knockouts Title , which means its time for a celebration and to have fun with your friends . We can deal with the Immortal problem later . " Bret advised her .
" Yes sir , " Autumn said walking away , but going towards Immortals locker room to see what they may have left behind .
