I do own Autumn Wilder , the nickname Dark Angel for Autumn , the name of Autumn ' s wrestling moves , and the story . I do not own Bret Hart who will be making an appearance in this story .
Chapter 37 : Knockouts Street Fight
Impact Zone - Backstage
" Autumn promise me you will be as careful as possible out there baby . " Bobby asked her like he had been almost every hour of the past week .
" Bobby , for the umpteenth time , I ' m going to be fine and when the bell rings to announce the winner , Traci , Jackie , Chyna , and myself will be the ones standing tall dear . " Autumn said .
" Tell it like it is girly , " Traci said as she , Jackie , and Chyna approached them with Kurt .
" So , the plan is set ? " Autumn asked looking at Bobby and Kurt .
" If Anarquia and Hernandez or anyone else from Immortal decides to step in the ring then we take them out . " Kurt said .
" Then everything is set , " Chyna said .
" Looks like everything is turning in our favor again tonight as well . " Jackie said looking at monitor .
" Huh ? " Bobby looking at the monitor as well .
" Eric just beat Gunner for the TV title with some added assist from Harris to deal with Flair . " Traci said .
" Wildcat just turned that old fart into his scratching post . " Storm said coming from the locker room with Petey .
" And EY has the TV Title now . " Petey said .
Eric walked through the curtain and raised the belt up for the group to see .
" One more in our hands . " Eric said .
" Never doubted you Eric . " Bobby and Petey both said .
" AJ and Daniels got the tag belts in the opening match as well which means all of the power is away from Immortal at the moment . " Autumn said .
" Glad we can help , " AJ and Daniels said as they walked into the area with Frankie .
" Not all , " Traci said .
" I ' m confused ? " Jackie said .
" That Knockouts Tag Team belts are in the hands of Sarita and Rosita . " Autumn realizing what Traci was saying .
" We ' ll deal with that when the moment comes , but for now we take them down hard . " Chyna said just as Harris walked into the backstage area .
" Nice job with the stiff , Chris . " Kazarian said .
" No problem , but I think he nearly blew a gasket trying to fight me off . " Harris said .
" I ' ve seen a mannequins with more fight than Flair . " Autumn said .
" Nice one , " Daniels said as the guys laughed .
" Wow , " Angle shook his head .
" Thanks for the assist out there Chris . " Eric said .
" Don ' t mention it EY , " Harris said .
" Girls its time , " JB said .
" Coming JB , " Autumn said .
" Be careful out there . " Bobby said to Autumn .
" Don ' t worry Bobby , everything will be okay . " Autumn said as Bobby gave her a deep kiss .
The guys except for Kazarian started gagging due to him kissing Traci at the moment .
" Aw , you guys as well , " Daniels looking at Kaz and Traci .
" Relax boys , " Jackie said .
" Alright , lets go , " Chyna said as the girls followed her to the ring entrance .
" Hang on girls , " Petey said .
" What ? " The girls looked at Petey and so did the guys .
" Autumn come here a minute . " Petey said .
" What ? " Autumn asked Petey as he pulled something from his back .
" Early wedding gift from Scott , Eric , and myself , its Team Canada issued and guaranteed to help you in the street fight . " Petey handing her a hockey stick with a bow on it .
" You guys were going to fill me in on this right ? " Roode said .
" Yes , when we gave to her . " Eric said .
Autumn tried it out in her hand and saw the Team Canada , Maple Leaf logo with Dark Angel underneath her name engraved on it , Hart Prodigy was also engraved into the the hockey stick .
" Thanks guys , now we are ready to deliver some serious damage to the bimbos of Immortal . " Autumn with the hockey stick in hand said leading the girls to the ring entrance .
" Well , its just like Canadians to give hockey sticks out as lethal weapons . " Storm said .
" Exactly , " Bret Hart said walking into the backstage area with Sting and D ' Amore .
" Nice choice , guys , " Storm added very quickly to Eric and Petey .
" Ha , " Bobby and Chris both said to Storm .
The Ring
Gail , Rayne , and the girls from Mexican America were already out in the ring when So Beautiful , So Evil " played in the arena annoucing the arrival of Autumn , Traci , Jackie , and Chyna who were to face off against the girls currently aligned with Immortal . Once in the all eight Knockouts were in the ring , JB explained the rules of the Street Fight , which was basically that there wasn ' t any rules and the only way for the mayhem to stop was for one of the team members to pin a member of the opposing team or make them submit . After JB introduced each Knockout in the ring to the fans in the crowd he stepped out of the ring , the bell rang , and chaos started in the ring .
All eight women were locked up and going at each other without an inch of separation from them . Traci had taken Rayne out into crown beating up the screamer for all of the crap Brooks had to put up with at the hands of Rayne through orders of Karen Jarrett . Jackie and Rosita went at it from the moment the bell rang and now they were outside of the ring on the floor trading blows . Sarita who was easily the heavy hitter of the opposing team was getting the pressure put on her by Chyna on the other side of the ring out on the floor . The only ones left in ring were Autumn and Gail to fight each other which was going back and forth between the two pretty much the same way as it did in Tennessee when Autumn won the Knockouts Title .
The fans were getting very much into the contest between Autumn and Gail as both ladies seemed evenly matched . But , with six other Knockouts in the match they couldn ' t totally focus on each other due to the one of the other women coming in and disrupting the fight between Gail and Autumn . Then not to anyones surprise Anarquia and Hernandez jumped in the ring trying to mess up the match , but Roode and Angle took care of it fighting off the guys of Mexican America to the back . Towards the end of the match Bully Ray tried to interfere , but end up getting the new hockey stick Scott , Petey , and Eric had given Autumn stuck first in his gut and then brought down across his back by Autumn . Bully rolled out of the ring in pain as Autumn saw Gail Kim trying to get up from the ring mat she dropped the hockey stick and then gave Gail her Wheel of Destiny finisher , pinning her to the mat , and watching as the refs hand came down for three and declared Autumn and her team as the victors of the match .
Autumn and the girls raised their hands in unison and then went to the back with Autumn deep in thought about the outcome of the match .
Fortune ' s Locker Room
The entire group going against Immortal except for Sting , D ' Amore , and Bret were in Fortune ' s locker room celebrating another night of victory . Everyone except for Autumn that is , she was there in the room , but her mind was somewhere else , her mind was on the two matches she had with Gail Kim and how much the fans had enjoyed both of their work even if it was against each other . Matches like that don ' t come very often , but when it happened they were special and it was those moments that would last a lifetime in their careers and in the hearts of the fans that watched them perform . But , Autumn wanted another match with Gail , one without interference , one with it just being the two of them .
" So , Sting said something about TNA Executives bringing back the six sided ring for one night only at Slammiversary . " Kurt said .
" The fans that have stuck with TNA since day one and have loved the six sided ring will love that . " Daniels said .
" Not to mention the X-Division will shine better in a six sided ring next to the traditional four sides . " AJ added .
" Because it gives you guys more ropes and turnbuckles to do all of the flippy stuff you do which would make the rest of have motion sickness . " Harris said .
" Ah , well , we can ' t all be high fliers or else they would have to change the name to Total Nonstop Luchador Wrestling . " Kazarian said .
" Or Total Nonstop X-Division Wrestling , " Petey suggested .
" That too , " Daniels and AJ said .
" I ' ve been X-Division Champion too . " Eric pointed out .
" Now , I didn ' t say I could play because we all know that the Southpaw Flies pretty well . I just don ' t do all of that cartwheet , corkscrew , and backflip stuff that the you guys in the X-Division likes to do . " Harris said .
" Of course not , " The X-Division Army said in unison .
" There ' s a tear , in Immortal ' s beer , Hogan and Bischoff decided to appear , with Flair who whoos in Immortal bimbos ear , and now I fear , that they can ' t hear , that we don ' t want them near , so Fortune and friends must make them them disappear , very far away from here , and never reappear unless they want us to kick them in the rear , for aggravating us my dear . " Storm started singing in the corner of the room drinking on a beer all of the them started laughing .
" Do that again I want it on tape so we can play it for the day when Bischoff and Flair goes far , far away . " Shelley said turning on a tape recorder which Storm sang again for them .
" Storm , you made my night . " Jackie said after Shelley stopped the recorder .
" Wait ? Immortal is going away ? " Daniels asked looking at Shelley .
" Yep , " Sabin said .
" When was this announced ? " Daniels asked looking very hopeful .
" It was announced they day they stepped into Impact and started meddling with things they shouldn ' t have meddled in . " Red said .
" I can agree to that , but where are we sending Bischoff and Flair to ? " Daniels asked .
" To whatever rock they decided to climb out of , " Jeremy Buck said .
" And tell them they are not welcome back at all . " Max Buck agreed .
" The X-Division Army has spoken , " Kendrick said .
" You guys make me so proud to be a member of the X-Division . " Kazarian .
" Same here . " AJ said .
" Agreed , " Daniels not to be left out .
" Autumn , why aren ' t you celebrating ? " Bobby had been watching her for awhile due to how quiet she had been since coming back to Fortune ' s locker room .
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Bobby and Autumn .
" Girl , you can celebrate now that the match is over ? " Chyna said .
" The match maybe over and we may have won , but that ' s not the way I wanted to beat Gail the second time . " Autumn said .
" What ? " Traci and Jackie asked .
" Traci , after you and Trinity who would you say brought the Knockouts Division to what it is today , who made it possible for a Knockouts Title to be apart of Impact , and became the most dominate Knockout in TNA history ? " Autumn looked at the Knockouts Championship next to her .
" Gail Kim , " Traci and Jackie both said .
" Exactly , " Autumn said .
" What are you talking about ? " Harris asked .
" In the history of pro - wrestling as a whole there have been matches that have without a shadow of a doubt stood the test of time in the business as a whole , ones that stand out in the hearts of anyone who has anything to do with wrestling , athletes , fan , promoters , owners , refs , announce team , you name someone at sometime have witnessed matches like the one that Hogan had with Andre years ago , Flair against Debiase , Hogan against Savage , my uncle against Shawn or Austin , and so many more . " Autumn said like she was thinking it through in her head .
" Autumn , you are talking crazy , " Chyna shook her head .
" No , I am talking what I heard from the fans and felt the other night when Gail and I wrestled the other night for Knockouts Title . I am talking about what I felt tonight when Gail and I were alone and going at it out there in the ring . I am talking from my heart the same heart that has a deep love for pro-wrestling like my dad had in his own heart . I am talking about going and challenging Gail Kim for another match at Slammiversary that will be just the two of us . " Autumn stood up with the Knockouts Championship .
" Autumn , Gail Kim is with Immortal ? " Jackie questioned .
" That doesn ' t mean I can fight a match my way and my way is with honor , my dad had it , Jim Neidhart had it , and Uncle Bret had it too , they all wrestled with honor and that ' s the kind of match I want with Gail . " Autumn said .
" But , " Storm , Daniels , AJ , Kazarian , and Petey all started .
" Shut up ! All of you ! " Autumn finally shouted frustrated and all of them looked at her surprised at the sudden outburst .
" Autumn , you are going a little to far this time , " Chyna said disapproving .
" Actually , no she ' s not , " Bobby said .
" What ? " All of them said as they looked at Bobby except for Kurt .
" Bobby is right , " Angle said .
" Why ? " AJ asked Kurt .
" AJ , would you ever consider giving up the matches you had when the X-Division was originally invented , the matches you had with Jerry Lynn , the matches against Jarrett when you won the NWA Championship , the matches against Joe , Daniels , Christian Cage , Sting , the tag matches against AMW or LAX ? " Kurt asked .
" No , " AJ said .
" Daniels would you give up the matches you had while with Triple X when you went against AMW , The Naturals , Team Canada , or the matches with when you team AJ , or the matches against AJ , Joe , and you name it ? " Angle asked .
" No , " Daniels answered .
" Storm how about you with AMW , Beer Money or your World Title matches now ? " Angles asked .
" Wouldn ' t give any of it up ? " James said .
" Exactly , Autumn is in a business where we as wrestlers have to either leave a legacy behind for others to follow or get out of the way and let others do it . If you are a true competitor in this business and if wrestling truly means anything to you to the point where you would do anything to leave a mark upon every inch of it , then sometimes you have to take a risk even with your biggest rival . " Harris said before anyone else could say anything .
" Couldn ' t have said it better myself , Cat ? " Angles said .
" So , what are you planning on doing Autumn ? " Bobby asked .
" I am challenging the Gail to a match at Slammiversary in the six sided ring where no one from either side can interfere and cause a distraction , this is between Gail and myself . " Autumn said .
" You are challenging Gail to a Six Sides of Steel match aren ' t you ? " Storm said making Harris look at Autumn .
" You are correct . " Autumn said walking out of Fortune ' s locker room and going to Gail ' s .
" She ' s definitely knows how to pick a great style of match ? " Bobby said .
" Yeah , a risky one , " Chyna said .
" Just like Owen use to do . " Angle said .
" Yeah , she is exactly like her father was when he was alive , taking to many unneccesary risk and one of them ended in him getting killed . " Chyna said .
" Yeah , he took that risk , one which he knew was highly dangerous like any match or trick a wrestler tried to pull off to make the performance and show better for the athletes to try to improve later or for the fans to remember later on down the road , Chyna . " Bret said walking in the room .
" You are not going to let her do this are you ? " Chyna asked .
" I will allow her , because this is her career and her legacy that she must put on display for the fans , not mine , not Owens , not yours , and not anyone elses in this room . I had some of the biggest and best matches of my career against people who I once were bitter rivals and foes with and looking back now I am glad that the risk in choosing this career and choosing who I would face was well worth it and I am sure Autumn will be proud when she looks back on her own career one day as well . " Bret said .
" Sure , " Chyna said leaving .
" Anyone else questioning Autumn ' s decision ? " Bret asked .
" No , " Bobby , Kurt , and Harris said .
" I just don ' t want her getting hurt by Immortal if this plan doesn ' t work . " Storm said .
" Agreed , " Kazarian , Daniels , and AJ said .
" Neither do I , " Bobby said making them look at her .
" Bobby ? " The rest of Fortune looked at him .
" Guys , Autumn is my fiancée , and I love her more than life itself and I don ' t want to see her hurt . But , at the same time I ' m not going to try and control everything she does in the ring . Yeah , it scares me at times what she does and yes I don ' t want her injuring herself again , but to take her freedom to choose her path in TNA is very wrong to me and its not something I ' m going to do to her . And if you guys care about her and claim to be her friends like you say then you should support her in her decisions . I think some of you forget the lack of freedom to choose her path before she met Fortune in that anti-wrestling town and what her step-father put her through and the rest of that town . I am not going to be like them and tell her what she can and can ' t do , this is her choice and I am proud of her for making it . " Bobby said .
" I can support her decisions just as long as she knows to be careful and don ' t over do it . " Petey said .
" I ' m the crazy person in this room , so , how can I say no to her being a little bit crazy herself . " Eric said .
" I support her Bobby , I just don ' t want her hurt . " Storm said .
" Oh , heck , I preach all the time that the X-Division isn ' t about weight limits its about no limits , so , I guess I can go along with Autumn ' s idea . " AJ said .
" She is an honorary member of Fortune and stand by our family in this unity . " Daniels said .
" This could definitely be a match for the ages . " Kazarian finally agreed .
" The Dark Angel is more than capable of handling her own . " Jackie said .
" Maybe she know something about Gail that we don ' t . " Traci thought .
" True , " The X-Division Army thought as well .
" Forgot what its like to be around kids in this business . " Bret said .
" Kids ? " Fortune and Harris looked at Bret .
" Yeah , kids , " Bret shook his head .
" Kazarian is the youngest . " Daniels said .
" And you are the oldest CD . " Kazarian said .
" Old man , " AJ , Harris , Storm , and Roode said as the others laughed and Daniels shrugged his friends off .
" You have a lot more fun when you get older , " Daniels said .
" I totally agree , " Angle said .
