Another day had passed of traversing the wilds of Minecraftia, still being led by the beautiful Endergirl to our destination. Actually, where was our destination? I had been so caught up in getting the first relic that I don't even know where the first relic is.
"Hey Andr?", I asked as I caught up next to her, "I just realized I never asked you where we were going". She looked down to me and smiled that sweet smile.
" Oh, I'm sorry Pyro", she apologized, "I thought I did tell you". She took out the map from the backpack and pointed to an area between the mountains and forest. "Here's where we need to go", she circled the area with her finger, "Dead Man's Lament, a small territory at the base of Mt. Saint James."
"That's where we'll find the first relic?", I asked, pushing my hair back. I really needed a fucking bath. Like, an ACTUAL fucking bath and not just soaking in a lake or river.
"Yes", she responded with a look of mixed emotions, "that's where we'll find the first relic you're looking for". She sighed, looking like she didn't want to go any closer yet eager to get there quickly.
"You okay there Andr?", I asked with concern. She seriously looked worried.
"Y-Yeah", she responded with an obvious lie, "I'm fine". Her steps shortened until she came to a stop, taking a breath.
"Hey, what's wrong? Something you don't want to see there?" I was curious as to why she was acting this way.
"No actually. Someone I don't want to see."
"Who?", I asked curiously.
"...My ex-girlfriend", she finally answered with a loud sigh,"That's who."
I was a bit surprised to hear she had a girlfriend, well, ex-girlfriend. Then again, almost everyone humanlike is a chick and they hook up with each other so it made sense.
"What was her name, if you don't mind me asking?" She took yet another deep breath and sat beneath a tree for shade. She patted the ground beside her, beckoning me to sit down. I laid down my pack and took a seat, interested in what she had to say.
"...Her name was Salem, Witch of the Mountain. She was so beautiful, so smart and above all else, powerful. She's the daughter of an immortal wizard, but he hasn't been seen in centuries", she took a piece of bread out of her pack and started eating at it.
"And is she still there?" I asked.
"As for as I know, I broke up with her 100 years ago. She was too…clingy for my taste", she responded. I nearly laughed at that cause I wanted burst, "She was too clingly? Look who's talking! This girl won't even let me go look for firewood on my own!" Instead, I kept it to myself.
"I see. And if she's still there?"
She looked at me with determination in her dark violet eyes, "Because she knows where to find or probably has the first artifact."
Now I was especially curious, "What exactly is the first artifact? And will we have to fight her for it?" Andr cleared her throat and began,
"The artifact she most likely has in her position is the Ethereal Signet, a ring of great magical power. And we may most likely need to fight her for it."
"What is the Ethereal Signet?"
"The Signet is a ring forged of obsidian gold with an enchanted emerald placement. The signet grants the wearer a the basic use of magical energy", she explained, taking another bite of her bread, "the kind of magical energy depends on who's using it".
I was curious now, I knew Minecraft could have a diverse system of mods installed into the game but I never knew that applied now, considering magic isn't part of the vanilla game.
"Magic? That exists here?" I asked.
"Of course", she answered with a small smile, "Most of the princesses are capable of using it. Our magic includes a wide variety of things, such as use of the elements, energy, necromancy, natural manipulation and etc."
"That sounds pretty cool", I cracked a small grin, picking a bread crumb off her jacket. She gave a small blush as I picked a small crumb off from her inner thigh.
"Y-Yeah", she gave as a response, finishing the bread and stands up, "We should get going".
" I agree. Let's go", I stood up and grabbed my dark green pack. We started off again under the setting sun towards the mountain. Andr's look of worry and distress was replaced by a warm smile as she put her arm around my neck.
The afternoon dragged on for a good while, until the sun finally disappeared into the horizon and the moon was rising over the peak of Mt. Saint James.
