Okay, so I lied about the previous chapter being the last... haha, carlisle/esme get the best of me :)
Carlisle and Esme walked into their home upon returning from a Halloween get-together with their rest of their family and some of the Quileutes. Neither of them dressed up with anything too creative, though a few of the kids put together some extravagant costumes, particularly Emmett, Alice and Jasper. The night had been fun, though when ten o'clock hit, Carlisle and Esme bid a farewell to the rest of them who seemed to have every intention of carrying on into November's first hours. Halloween was just a few hours away from being over.
Carlisle hung his car keys on a rack by the door and he closed it behind them.
"You could probably get an echo in here," Esme said, looking around the dark, empty house. She switched on a light and looked at Carlisle and smiled as he sported a look from their past from the party, complete with a hat similar to ones he used to wear quite often back in the 1930's.
"I'll be back in a minute," he told her, smiling when he noticed her staring for a second or two longer than normal. "I have to get back to the current year."
Esme snickered as he tipped his hat at her with a wink and disappeared up the stairs. She turned on a few lights, around the house, then turned them off immediately as she recognized a few of Alice's orange pumpkin faux lights illuminating small areas in the darkness. The look seemed fitting for the last two hours of Halloween and she decided to stick with the theme for the rest of the night.
She stopped for a moment and looked around at how still everything was, a rarity in their home, before Edward's piano caught her eye. It had been a long time since she'd played, though for some reason had the urge to at that moment.
Esme sat down on the bench and smiled as she stared into yet another one of Alice's decorations. "Alice," she said to herself and admired the pumpkin figure that was surrounded by two fake candles which sat on top of the piano. She tapped a few of the keys before an old melody Edward had taught her years ago popped into her head. Esme always admired her son's ability to play, and his enthusiasm that went with it. The sound of a classical, almost melancholy tune was soothing and sentimental. It reminded her of her earliest days with both Edward and Carlisle and triggered many of the happy memories that lead them to where they were today.
For several minutes, Esme found herself lost in the sound of the music, and feel of the keys beneath her fingertips. She began to wonder why she didn't find her way into the music room more often and thought to herself that she would make it a point to do so.
Carlisle found his way to the doorway and smiled, then made his way over quietly so he wouldn't interrupt Esme from what she was doing, as she appeared equally relaxed and concentrated at the same time. She turned her head partway upon hearing his steps make light creaking noises in the floor, though didn't stop what she was doing. When the song came to a close, Carlisle put his hands on both of her shoulders.
"Keep playing," he urged her, digging his thumbs slightly into her upper back.
Esme turned to him and looked up into his eyes, despite noticing he'd completely ridded himself of his clothing. Both of them shared a quick laugh and she shook her head.
"No one's going to be here for awhile," he told her, trying not to smile.
Esme was happy to hear his words, though had to ask, "How do you know?"
"Alice told me." Carlisle said, looking down, then back up again.
She giggled slightly at her husband's bold way of approaching her and now found herself unable to keep herself from eyeing him up and down.
"Keep playing," he said again, "Don't let me distract you."
"Because you definitely haven't done that," Esme told him sarcastically with a laugh, one which Carlisle returned. She did as he asked, however, and began the same melody over again, this time with the accompanying motivation of his hands as they gently massaged her shoulders, neck and upper back. Though she found it slightly more difficult to keep her hands on the piano keys knowing he was right behind her, Esme continued to play with perfection until she felt his lips hit her neck just below her earlobe.
She tensed up and smiled, feeling shivers travel down her spine and stopped what she was doing.
"Keep playing," he whispered in her ear, catching her earlobe between his teeth.
Esme tried to do as he asked, attempting to play through the fact that he was slowly removing her clothing and continuing to string kisses along her neck and now bare shoulders. She misplayed a note as his heavy breath landed more forcefully at the base of her neck, dancing down her collar bone.
Carlisle chuckled lightly as he knew he'd caused her to play the wrong note. When Esme's hands stopped completely and laid lifelessly across the keys, he turned her face lightly to face his and pressed his lips to hers gently.
Esme turned to him and kissed him back with urgent enthusiasm as Carlisle's hands pushed down the long skirt she was wearing. He moaned as his lips parted from hers momentarily before he found them again, pulling her face toward his. She pulled him toward her with the same force, sending both of them into the piano.
"Wait, wait," she whispered heavily, trying to separate herself from him, though not at all wanting to, "I don't want to break Edward's piano."
Carlisle didn't say anything back, though he scooped her up and carried her into the living room, seeing as it was the closest place to where they were. Esme clawed to keep him on top of her as their couch kicked to the side as he urgently placed her down on her back. Her hands pressed down on the lowest point of his back and she wrapped her legs around his waist.
He let out an appreciate moan and gripped the fabric of the couch harshly. Esme reached up and grabbed Carlisle's face, guiding his mouth back to hers, feeling him find his way inside of her as she did.
Carlisle moaned again into her mouth and Esme sighed as he thrusted his hips against hers. His level of arousal began to turn her on even more than it typically did as he almost seemed unable to control himself.
"Esme," he moaned into her ear, then bit down lightly on her neck and shoulder.
She reciprocated the moan and squeezed his back as she heard the couch rip under his overwhelming grasp on it. Every time he moved forward he let out another noise, getting extra loud when Esme called out his name.
Carlisle slowed down and more or less came to a stop and began decorating her chest with sensual kisses.
"Keep going, Carlisle," she begged him in a desperate whisper, grabbing his hair with one of her hands.
"I had to stop for a second," he whispered back in the same tone, letting his tongue glide up along her neck in between his soft bites and kisses.
She moaned again and enjoyed his stall tactics, though made it known how pleased she was when he resumed. The couch creaked more with every motion and Esme for a moment feared they might break it, but her mind just as quickly went back to the physical needs Carlisle was satisfying. His inconsistent pace would have made her smile if she wasn't so close to her climax, because she knew it meant that he was trying to make himself last for her.
His moans became more intense and drove Esme wild as he moved in and out of her a little harder and faster. She closed her eyes and felt him release into her at the same time she happily gave in to a long-lasting orgasm that was the result of the build up from the tension he created at the piano to that exact moment. She sighed a final time when she finally relaxed her body beneath his.
Carlisle sighed after she did and a light laugh left his mouth, "I ripped the side of the couch."
Esme laughed and hugged him, then rubbed up and down his back, "We'll throw a blanket over it."
"Mmm..." He kissed her cheek and stood up, wrapping a blanket around himself.
Esme looked up and pulled him back down to her by the hand. He smiled and laid back on top of her, sharing a few light, meaningful kisses, then wrapped her in the blanket with him.
"Happy Halloween," he told her with another quick laugh.
She laughed back and kissed him again, "Happy Halloween, indeed."
