Chapter 19 ~ Falling Backwards.

The demon with large scars and burns on his face is pacing the underworld cavern he and four other demons as well as David are stood around him. He looks angry.

"I thought you said she was not conscious for that conversation." The scared demon roared at David who looked unfazed.

"I didn't think that she was, after the beatings we gave her she shouldn't have been." David replied.

"Well then how does she know my name? She must have been awake, and the Charmed Ones know my name to because that stupid witch told them!" The scared demon questioned angrily.

The four demons and David open their mouths as though to say something but come out with nothing. They have no answer to give their leader which makes him angrier. The four demons cover back while David still looks unfazed.

"Fix this and quickly. We can't have that child telling the Charmed One's anything else. We can't move to the next step of the plan till this is sorted." The scared demons say storming past David.

"So sort it now!" He shouts.

He turns to one of the other demons in the room. "If she says anything else, kill him!" says the scarred demon pointing to David before walking out of the cavern.

Billie squinted slightly her eyes finding it hard to adjust to the new light she could see. She looked around confused not recognizing where she was at first.

It was dark apart from the light. That annoying light that was hurting her eyes. She looked up to see blue orbs on the ceiling. They appeared to be illuminating the room she was in.

It was a cold, damp room, no windows, no doors, just a single room.

Dark.

Apart from that light.

Billie covered her eyes with her hand; the light was beginning to hurt her head. Suddenly there was a white flash and the whole room was light up.

"So you are awake then" Billie heard a voice say in the room, a voice she recognized causing her to lower her hand.

She squinted again, her eyes having to adjust to the whole room being alight now.

Billie looked confused to see Paige standing on the other side of the room. She could have sworn she heard a male's voice, not Paige's.

She got up slowly from the floor she must have been asleep on and walked cautiously over to Paige.

Something didn't seem right to Billie.

Paige held out her hand and smiled to the blonde silently telling her it was okay to come closer to her. She watched as Billie did so cautiously.

Slowly Billie took her hand and stood next to her.

"Do you remember what happened?" Paige said to her. Causing Billie to shake her head meaning 'no'.

She had no idea how they got here, or where here even was.

"You did hit your head pretty hard. I healed you, but you must still be a little foggy." Paige said her free hand gently stroking the back of the blondes head.

Billie looked to Paige blankly still not understanding.

"But you know where you are right? Back in my lair again, where you belong." Billie heard the male voice say causing her to cling to Paige desperately through fear. Something wasn't right she knew that voice but couldn't see who was talking.

"Hey, it's okay. You're going to be okay." Paige said soothingly to the young girl in her arms.

"It's not Billie I'm after this time." The voice said again.

However this time it seemed closer, louder.

Billie looked up from where she had hidden her face in Paige's hair to see David standing before them.

"Stay away from her." Paige said pushing a shaking Billie behind her using herself as a human shield.

Suddenly out of nowhere six dark lighters dark orbed into the room. They all pointed their crossbows at a worried looking Paige.

"It's not Billie I'm after." David said smirking at the worried expression on Paige's face.

"Don't bother orbing, you won't be able to. Although I'm sure you have already figured that out. This room is cloaked so good magic cannot be used here." He continued.

"What do you want? Haven't you done enough?" Paige spat at David angrily.

"I didn't want to do anything. What I want is to be able to live my life how I choose. I didn't want that kid in my life again running it. She was forced on me, and I didn't even get to punish her for it how I wanted to." David shouted walking up to Paige.

"Enough of that though. Right now though I'm going to have to kill you, because you're stupid charge can't keep her mouth shut!" David shouted angrily.

"No!" Billie shouted in fear. "Don't hurt her."

"I have to though Billie you only have yourself to blame. You shouldn't have told the Charmed Ones anything." David said in Billie's ear as he shimmered in behind her.

He grabbed hold of her causing her to scream before he shimmered her away from Paige and back to where he was standing in the middle of the dark lighters.

David lifted his hand signalling the dark lighters to shoot.

They lifted their crossbows and begin to shoot arrows at Paige who was stood in the middle of the room still. With her powers unable to work she was defenseless against the dark lighters.

"Paige!" Billie shouted, crying, trying to pull away from David who held her tight to himself as he watched Paige being shot by the arrows smiling.

"Billie wake up!"

"Paige!" Billie shouted as she saw her white lighter fall to the ground unconscious arrows sticking out of her.

"Wake up!"

"This is your fault Billie. This is what happens when you tell your friends about the cave." David said in her ear menacingly.

"Billie!"

Billie bolted up right in the bed screaming, tears where flowing down her face as she looked around the room confused.

She was at the manor, in Phoebe's old room. It was night time as only darkness could be seen outside the window. A light was on in the room.

"It's okay, your safe here." Billie heard a voice say next to her. She looked where the voice came from to see Paige; however this time there was no dark lighters, no arrows, and no blood.

Billie threw herself into Paige's arms and clung to her tightly crying even harder, her breath becoming short and raspy.

Paige quickly wrapped her arms around her hysterical charge whispering in her ear while rocking her gently trying to calm her down.

She looked up to the door to see Piper rushing through looking as though she was ready to kill whatever threat was in the house.

"Paige? What's going on?" Piper asked confused to see her baby sister here at this time of the night still in her night clothes. Looking to the bed her heart clenched for her young friend who was crying hysterically while cuddled in her sister's arms.

"She was calling for me in her sleep." Paige said referring to why she was here before her elder sister.

Paige knew Piper would be able to figure the rest out herself. It was obvious from the state her charge was in that she had had a terrible nightmare.

Piper nodded letting Paige know she understood.

"I'll go make some hot chocolate." She said quietly leaving the room knowing Paige would be okay to handle Billie.

Piper could tell they were in for a long night.

Billie seemed to be getting worse again which was worrying as they had had a good day with her.

She had opened up to Paige a little bit about what she remembered from the cave, but now it seemed she had gone downhill back in her terrified shell again.
