I Am You

~..X…~

When Lucian finally opened her eyes, she found herself in her room with White sleeping beside her bed. He was sitting on a wooden chair with his chin resting on the palm of his right hand. She slowly sat up and reached her left arm out to White, touching his cheek with the tip of her fingers.

"White." She softly whispered as she caresses his check with her thumb. White opened his eye, and she smiled at him. "I'm sorry." She said and the next thing she know, she was in White's arms. "White."

"I'm sorry for not being able to protect you." White said as he nuzzled his face on crook of her neck. "Are you okay? Those your wounds still hurt? Do you want me to kill the twins? Just say it and I will do it." He pulled his head back, determination in his eye to end the twins' life.

Lucian shook her head. She doesn't want more problems. "No White. And I'm fine."

"Really?"

"Yeah." She wasn't lying. Her wounds are completely healed under those bandages, and it was thanks to her other self. "White, how long have I been out?"

"For a while." White answered and he pulled her back into his arms. "But that doesn't matter. You're awake now."

"Have you been staying by my side while I was out?"

"Yes. Black and I took turns looking after you. He left a few hours ago to continue his work."

"I see." Lucian nodded her head and she looked straight into White's face. "You have bags under your eyes." She frowned a bit, touching the dark spots under his eye. "You haven't gotten much sleep, have you? I'm so sorry." She felt really bad. If she was more careful and more alert then none of this would have happened.

"You don't have to worry about my sleep, Lucian." White smiled tiredly before kissing her on the lips. "I can get my sleep later." He said in between their kisses.

"Then go to sleep right now." Lucian said and she pulled away from White. "Come." She grabbed his arms and pulled him into the bed. "Sleep here." She pushed him down to the bed and gave him a light kiss on the forehead. "I want you to sleep."

"What about you?" White asked and he grabbed her wrists. He doesn't want her to leave.

"I'm gonna take a shower. Don't worry, I'll stay here the whole day with you. I still feel a bit tired."

"Okay." White nodded his head. "If you need anything just call me." With one last kiss on the lips, Lucian got off the bed and walked towards the bathroom. He watched her leave and when the door closed, he let out a sigh. "That black tea-lover was telling the truth." He stared up at the ceiling, remembering what Blood told him and Black that day.

"That little outsider of yours is quite interesting." Blood said with a stoic face but his eyes had a glint of amusement.

The three of them where in a different room, leaving Lucian to rest after the doctor healed her wounds. Black wanted nothing more than to strangle the raven-headed bastard sitting in front of him. He hated the look Blood was sending him and White. It's like he's telling him that he knows something about Lucian that they don't know.

"And why is that?" Black asked, narrowing his eye.

"What are you trying to hide?" Blood asked, ignoring the deadly glare being send to him by the warden. "That outsider-"

"She has a name." White said. "Her name is Lucian Caelum."

Blood lifted his green orbs towards White before smirking. "Yes. Miss Caelum. While I was assisting the doctor, we found something very interesting about the young lady. When we checked up her wounds, they were already closed. That's not possible for a normal human being. But that's not the most surprising. When the doctor left, I wanted to feel her heart, so I did."

"You bastard!" Black shouted angrily, getting up from his chair only to be pulled back down. "You have no right to touch Lucian!"

"Black, calm down." White said, gripping his counterpart's arm tightly.

"I can't help my curiosity of wanting to hear another human's heart." Blood said, the twisted smile on his face never left as he looked at Black. "So I took the opportunity. I did hear her heart beat, but there was another thing that I heard inside her. And it wasn't a heart, it was a sound similar to our hearts."

"!" Both Black and White stiffened at that moment. White remembered Julius telling him the same thing but he just brushed it off, thinking that the mortician just needed to get out of his place because he's been surrounded by clocks.

"In fact," Blood continued, seeing that the two wouldn't talk. "The sound of the clock ticking was louder than the sound of her heart beating. Now I want to know what she is, knowing that you both know her more than anyone else." He got no response from the two. "I guess you both don't know about this. Whatever, I can always find out about the young lady in the future."

White let out a frustrated sigh and turned to his side, facing the bathroom door. It's not possible for Lucian to have a clock as a heart too. It's just not possible.

Two hearts…

"I wonder if Leon and Aria knew about this…" White whispered quietly, his eye glued to the door. He remembered the last time he visited Lucian in the human world, and he never heard a clock within her whenever she was with him.

Not once, so why now?

Inside the bathroom, Lucian was staring at the white wall in front of her, letting the hot water run through her body. During the time she was out, she met with her other self. She was in dark room with only a red bench in the middle. At first she thought she died, but when a voice spoke to her telling her that she's fine in the outside world and that she's not dead.

Lucian felt her skin shiver at the voice. She turned her head back to see herself sitting on the red bench with a twisted smile. Her sharp blue eyes gazing back at her.

"Nice to see ya again, Lucian." She said, the smile on her face grew, revealing her sharp canine teeth.

"Who are you?" Lucian asked.

"Don't act stupid, girl." The girl laughed. "I'm you! And you're me!"

"What?"

"Oh come now." Her laughter died out and she looked back at Lucian. "If it weren't for me, you would have died already. You should be thanking me instead of giving me that look."

"…"

"Just know this, you and I are one. Now that you're in a fucked up world, try to be more careful next time. I'm not always gonna be there to save your ass. I can't have you dying yet."

"Because if I die, you die." Lucian said, giving her other self a knowing look.

"Exactly!" Her other self grinned and gave a thumbs-up. "Now before you wake up, I want you to ask our boyfriends to train you to be a better fighter. Of course I can always take over and beat the living shit out of everybody, but I don't think you would want that."

"Wait!" Lucian's eyes grew. "What do you mean you can 'take over' my body?!" Having to learn that there's another her is too much, but now this too? Oh no.

Her other self blinked owlishly. "Of course. I just told you, we're one. You know, this is really a pain in the ass for me to have to explain everything to you. There are some memories that I locked up inside you that you need to start getting back." She leaned her back against the red bench and started playing with her hair, twirling it around her finger. "For a starter, I'll unlock a few during your middle school."

After her encounter with her other self, Lucian started regaining some painful memories during her middle school year. One of them is when she beat up a gang of boys and most of them were high school students. Another one was when she was ganged up by another gang for beating up one of their member, but, they were the ones that ended up in the hospital. But what disturb her while remembering those memories is that it wasn't her that was fighting. It was her other self.

She told me not to tell Black and White about this. But what if they find out and start hati-

*Slam*

"Lucian!"

Lucian jumped and turned her body around only to slip. "Ah!" She fell back, hitting the wet floor.

"Lucian, are you okay!" White shouted, getting into the shower and pulling Lucian up, not caring about being wet or seeing Lucian naked.

"W-White, what are you doing here?" Lucian's face turned bright red as she tried to cover herself up. "D-D-Don't look!"

White turned the water off, snapped his fingers and a white towel appeared in his hand. He looked back at his blushing woman before wrapping the towel around her. "You've been here for too long." He said and he lifted her off her feet.

"Iyaa!" Lucian quickly wrapped her arms around White's neck as he walked out of the bathroom, dripping wet. "W-White!"

White walked towards the bed and carefully placed Lucian down on the bed. "What are you doing in the shower?" He asked.

"Huh?" Lucian lifted her head. "I was taking a shower."

"For more twenty minutes?"

"I've only been there for five minutes."

"No, you were not." White said. "I've been knocking on the door for a while and you weren't answering, so I thought something happened to you so I barged in. What happened?"

"I'm sorry." She lowered her head down. She can't tell him. "I guess I was thinking about my wounds…"

"Even though your wounds are completely gone, do you still feel the pain?" White kneeled down in front of her and grabbed her hands. "Tell me and I will do something about it."

"No, I don't feel any pain." Lucian smiled, reassuring him that he doesn't have to worry about her.

"That's good."

White sighed in relief. Because if she was still in pain he will head straight to the Hatter's Mansion and beat the living crap out of the twin.

"Um…"

"Yes?" White asked, looking back at Lucian.

"We need to get dry and get dress." Lucian said, blushing a bit. Seeing White wet is making her excited.

"Oh." White snapped his fingers and in an instant both of them are dressed and dried.

"Thank you."

It might not be the time to tell Black and White about what she knows. The only thing is they already know.
