CHAPTER 16
Flashback :
"I wonder if you fall in love with me already because you accepted and responded to my kissess before." Athrun playful smirk appear at his handsome face.
Cagalli face stay still and she say clearly, "Go to hell, Zala."
Athrun chuckling at her answer. Stand up, he relaxing his body. Then, he remember about something he wants to tell to her.
"Oh, and by the way, Cagalli."
"Hm?" She looks at him and stand up as well, time to go sleep.
"Tomorrow, your new bodyguard will coming for you."
...
Athrun sighing again for who-knows-how-many-times. Cagalli glaring furiously in front of him. They have been bickering for a hour about I-don't-need-some-freaking-bodyguard and you-need-a-bodyguard things. And of course, Athrun have to be extremely patience whenever he faces Cagalli and her arguments. He sighing again. After told her if her new bodyguard will come to her soon, she shoved him immediately and yelled about how she doesn't need another bodyguard glued around her anymore. Knowing how she will react, Athrun prepared already.
"No. You need one and I already arranged about this matter for you."
And Cagalli explode. Their argue can be heard around the mansion. Cagalli with her stubborness and Athrun with his calm demeanor but not wiling to give up. Shera and the other sweat dropped and shake their head about their master and his wife bickering. Count it as husband and wife fight. They ceased fire for a night with Cagalli stomped towards her room, yelled about 'Stupid Zala' again and again. Athrun retreated to his room as well while frowned. Like it or not, the new bodyguard will be coming tomorrow.
In the early morning, they had arguments again. Athrun inform her if the bodyguard will coming today, along with him after he get back from work. Cagalli, who still dazed after wake up from her nice slumber became alert and scowl. Athrun wake her up telling her he will go to work like usual along with that topics, again. Since they stayed in this place, Athrun always go for work in the early morning. Cagalli growl to him.
"I think I told you already I DON'T NEED any bodyguards anymore."
Athrun just smile to her. He manage to keep his calm. "And I think I told you already if you need one, Cagalli."
Cagalli throws her arms to the air, frustated about this guy. "But why? Didn't you know if I dislike followed around by a strangers? And moreover, I LOCKED and STUCK in this, in this freaking and isolated place! Why the hell I need someone to watch over me if I can't go anywhere?"
Keep smiling, Athrun leans forward to her. Cagalli stopped abruptly and blushing. She can smell Athrun nice cologne. So...delicious.
"You need someone to watch over you for me while I am gone. And maybe, to prevent you for escape. Now, behave and wait for me until later." He whispering to her ear and kiss her cheek quickly. Leaving Cagalli frozen in her place after he walk from her room to work and when she get her senses, her scream can be hear.
"DAMN YOU,ZALA! DON'T SURPRISED ME LIKE THAT!"

Kira Yamato and Yzak Joule never be good companion for each other. Yzak always grumpy about every things, as well about Kira Yamato. And memories about Kira ever wounded Yzak face at the past make him always scowled at former Freedom pilot, Kira Yamato, whenever they met. But Kira being gentle and kind like usual, just smiling all the time. War made everyone hurt and kill each other. Beside towards Kira, Yzak being grumpy as well to Athrun. Their rivalness has been entered an endless time, until now. But Athrun just shrugged it off and not mind it a single bit. Dearka who knowing how's the young Commander Joule antics decided to make a fun about it. And it resulted by some whack from the young Commander. But right now, like or not, they must working together for this case if they don't want another war happen. A new mysterious group happen to make some chaos in ORB. Targeting some vital point of ORB, destroy it and sometimes the worst, killing some minister and families which are mixed from Coordinator and Natural race. After Second Bloody Valentine War, The Representative of ORB, Cagalli Yula Athha and The Temporary Chairwoman of PLANT, Lacus Clyne, had been work hard for maintain peace and treaty. Until it result goodly. Coordinator and Natural held their hands each other and life peacefully. Moreover, there's some Coordinator and Natural married each other. They choose to stay at ORB because since first, that country is neutral one. They accept both Coordinator and Natural without seeing their differential. But right now because activities from a mysterious group, that peacefullness threaten to be shattered. The current Representative of ORB, Cagalli Yula Athha-Zala, had been lost her memories because some accident and now locked and isolated at unknown place by her husband, Athrun Zala. Her husband decided to "evacuate" his wife because she targeted by some crazy and mad people from the group. Right now, Athrun made a little forces to help him tracking down and catching and also destroy that group before they make condition worsening. Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne who stepped down from their high position at PLANT choose a peace and normal life in Earth. And now as married couple, they are waiting for their first child to born in the world. Yzak Joule and Dearka Elsman keep their position at PLANT as Commander in millitary. A White Coat and Black Coat. The special forces Athrun regroup included them all, since he can't trust anyone beside them. No one of them want to activate their GUNDAM again for killing some human at war, not again. And so, the special forces moves for their mission.
"I can't believe that Zala asking ME to come TOGETHER with YOU!" Yzak growled to the person beside him. His hand gripped hard on the steering, threaten to crush it anytime.
"Well, since we work on same task I suppose?" Kira smiling and keep watching scenery outside. Athrun just called them to meet him and he wished for them to come together. It really make Yzak pissed off.
"Don't remind me about that, Yamato!" Yzak hissed dangerously to Kira who didn't flinch a bit at the tone Yzak used.
"I just agree to work with you because I want this stupid task finish soon and I can get away from you all." He narrowed his blue eyes.
Hearing that, Kira just smile. "Such a good friend you are, Commander."
And with that, Yzak cursing uncontrollably to Kira.

Athrun sit quietly on his chair but his green eyes aware about his surrounding. He sipped his coffee and lean to the chair. It has been 30 minutes since he arrived at this cafe, waiting for his comrade arrival, Yzak and Kira to come. He need to meet them for discuss the progress about their mission. Wearing some minim disguise include black sunglasses and thick black jacket, hoping no one recognize him. But unknown of him, someone keep staring and glancing at his direction. It just will be short meeting but Athrun still prepare. His gun keep hidden behind his suit and his thick black jacket. Just for some safety. He sighing. Things become more complicated. Work piled up, assasination case keep appear, now some civilian started to know what happen. They can figure out because the attack happened more frequently and somehow they know the source of this. Cagalli must keep hidden secretly for long time,maybe. He thought bitterly. Some ministers tries to calm the civilian by explain what they can reveal to them but still, it's futile. Some civilian now want the Athha step down from leadership. They want this attack to stop. And because Cagalli is missing, they became sure if she's run away from this matter. Athrun gritted his teeth. Cagalli will never run away from the problem, especially about her country. If only she didn't lost her memories, she will stand still and tries her best to fix everything. And he can't stay peacefully at his office because someone keep clinging to him. His secretary, Rein Panel, become more aggresive after Cagalli absence from his side. The hell, she clearly flirting with him. Giving some flirtious wink and stare, seductive voice and act sometimes, and the worst she declared her love towards him and willing to be his second wife. Athrun shudder at the thought. He want to get rid of her but not now because he admit, she's a brilliant one. Maybe later after he can find another one to replace her. No way in hell he will marry another girl beside Cagalli. Kira will kill him immediately.
"Daydreaming at the bright day huh, Zala?" his thought stopped for a moment because some cold and mock voice suddenly can be hear in front of him.
"I have been waiting almost a hour, thank's to you." Athrun reply Yzak words with calmness.
"Athrun." Kira smiling to his bestfriend and brother in law.
"I see you made it one piece here for thinking if your companion on the journey no other than is our Commander, Yzak Joule." Athrun grinning to Kira. Kira just chuckle and Yzak glare to Athrun.
"Dearka?" Kira sit down in front of Athrun and question him about their blonde guy on their team.
"Not coming and I didn't call him either. He need to work at his part seriously. Don't want to disturb him." Athrun tell him. Kira just nodded.
"Spill it out, Zala. I don't want stuck here for a long time with you and this one." Yzak grumbled and nodded at Kira direction.
"Easy. We will talk and discuss everything slowly and detail." Athrun smiling.
Athrun choose to get them to this cafe since this is a famous one. Crowded with peoples, no one will care or listen to their conversation because chatting all around and the music. It won't be suspicious as well because they are gather together. Yzak well known enough so he wear some disguise also. His silver hair hidden neatly behind light brown wig. As for Kira, just glasses.
"Peoples start to know. Some of them want the Athha step down so this attack can be stop." Athrun tell them.
"And I am not sure they really will stop their activities before they got Athha in their hand." Yzak snorted, Athrun tensed. Kira narrowing his eyes.
"So, you think, this is-" Kira words cut short by Yzak.
"Revenge to your wife, absolutely. Or may I say, to the Athha family. Dunno for senior Athha generation or the new one generation." Yzak nodded to Athrun.
"We can't think it like that because we don't have enough evidence right now. We can't just decide this is revenge because Lord Uzumi or Cagalli leadership generation." Kira said slowly.
"What else? Do you need another proof beside what you can see right now in front of your eyes now, Yamato? Zala told us about that paper which contain about steppind down of Athha, some crazy guys chased and wounded her, etc. What else proof you want to get huh?" Yzak said while leaning to his chair.
"But-" Kira tries to talk but this time, Athrun interrupt him.
"But there's some Natural-Coordinator families who slaughtered recently. Why it have to be Athha fault?" Athrun stare at them.
They became silent for awhile.
"Then, how? We can't protect EVERY Coordinator-Natural families in ORB. And they did it cleanly. We can't catching one of them because they just like some damn slippery eels, very difficult to catch. And-" Yzak bursting stop in moment because gunfire break their conversation suddenly.
"Athrun!" Kira screamed because Athrun fall backwards from his chair. Yzak turned quickly and pull his own gun. He kicked the table and turn it quickly for their barricade. Athrun get in his senses and drag Kira behind their barricade. His breath ragged and his hand clutched his shoulder, his bleeding shoulder.
"You got shot!" Kira eyes widened staring at Athrun wound. Athrun lean to the barricade, trying to calm his breath.
"It's fine. Just a little grazed. Nothing serious." Athrun studying his wound.
"If you two finished your chit-chat, why you don't freaking help me to bring them down?" Yzak yell between gunshot. Peoples screaming and escaping from the scene. Push and running each other for their lives. Tables and chairs in the messed state, and so many glass broken. The cafe become war zone. Athrun pull his own gun and getting ready. His shoulder stung a bit but it doesn't matter. Beside him, Kira readied his gun already.
"How many people?" Athrun speak to Yzak who still aiming to their enemy.
"I don't know for sure. Maybe 4-5 peoples. They keep shooting." Yzak growled but his eyes still aware and locked to the enemy. His gun gripped tightly and sometimes he ducked down, evading the bullets. Kira shoot the enemy as well, but not really quick and accurate as Athrun and Yzak. Eventhough like that, his Coordinator senses help him so he never missed his bullets to other people that running wildly around them, trying to escape from war zone.
Athrun ducked down and pull his phone, quickly dialled some number. He speak to someone about their location and asking for backup.
"Help will come as soon." He tell them and put his phone onto his pocket. "And Yzak, please careful not to kill them all."
"Why the hell I may not shot them to death? They clearly want to send us to the after life for Godsake!" Yzak hissed.
"Because-" Athrun readied his gun once more and aiming for something far in front of him, above the enemy location, "we will need them to speak about their little group later." And he shot every glass,plate and wine bottle which put neatly and artistically on the rack above the enemy hiding place. Athrun shoot accurately all of that and thousand shattered glassess fall down right to the enemy, make them stop their attack awhile and protect their head from the glass, make opportunity for Yzak and Kira to shot them without worry about their payback bullets from enemy. Athrun jumped from barricade and run to the enemy, trying to get close to them but unlucky, one of them realize and shot Athrun. Athrun ducked and kick random table and hide behind it. Just a little more, he think. He reload his gun quickly and take a peek at the enemy new location. At the same time, one of the enemy jumping and running toward him, yelling and slashing a pocket knife to him. Athrun can hear Kira screamed his name, a glint of the knife, and another pain stabbed his senses. Blood spilled to the floor.

Cagalli jolted from her sleep. Her eyes scanned around, wonder about what make her waking up suddenly and find nothing. She sighed and rise slowly, the sheets falling down slowly from her body. She glanced to the clock. Almost afternoon. She falling aslept after wandering around the mansion. It become her daily routine since stayed here. After Athrun left, she get her breakfast and strolling around. She still wondering, where is this place since she didn't hear any vehicle voice whenever Athrun left or back from work. No sound of car. Or maybe shuttle or helicopter. He just come back suddenly and left. Actually, she never send him away to the door because Athrun said no need. Oh, whatever.
She get up from the bed and glancing around. Well, it's futile as well if want to escape from the window since them all are locked mechanically and the curtain glued to the glass. No peeking outside. She really feel like prisoner. She rolled her eyes. What a hyper protective guy, she thought. But somehow, something bothering her mind. Her feeling. She feels uneasy. Maybe that uneasy feeling that made her awake suddenly from her sleep? She stride across the room and open the door. So quiet, she peeked around. Slowly open her door more wide, she tip-toed from her room. Maybe, she thought, maybe she can be able to see how's it look like outside. And if lucky, she can go away from this place. If Athrun can go and back from the front door, then maybe she can take peek outside. She step quietly and carefully, doesn't want to get caught. Just a little more, her heart beating faster. Just a little bit more and she can see how's it outside. She stop right in front of the front door. Her heart thumping faster. Her hands moves to the handle, ready to grip and pull it open.
"Are you ready for dinner now, Milady?"
She jumped and pull her hand from the handle. Her head turn around quickly. Right behind her, Shera stand up and smile to her.
"S-Shera?" She gulped. Damn, get caught again.
The girl walking towards her, smiling. Right in front of her, she stop and bowed.
"Come, Milady. Rheena prepared a fine and nice meal already."
Cagalli sighed. She losing her chance, again. Glancing to the door, she sighed again. Can't be help, maybe next time. And if needed, she will put sleeping pill to every maid and butler here later so no one will caught her. She grinning to the thought. Turned around, she faced Shera and nodded.
"Let's go then." And she walked passed Shera. The girl walking behind her, just look like a bodyguard that guarding her. Cagalli narrowed her honey brown eyes. This uneasy feeling still remain inside her and she don't even know what it is about.
