Code Lyoko: The Plutarch

Ten years after shutting down the supercomputer, XANA mysteriously reappears. To the dismay of the original Lyoko warriors, two kids from Kadic accidentally get mixed up in the renewed battle against XANA. As they begin to unravel the source of XANA's resurrection, they discover a dangerous new enemy. Friends, love, and clones ensue. Updates weekly!

1. An Introduction

EDIT 10/16/15 - Do not adjust your television sets, this is not a mistake. The name of this fic has indeed been changed, from Code Lyoko: XANA Returns to Code Lyoko: The Plutarch. Why? Well, for several reasons. First of all, while it is fine as our nickname for it, XANA Returns is, ultimately, not a very descriptive name. Secondly, while XANA does cause trouble in this story, we felt that naming the story after him seemed a bit too much. After all, the heroes of this piece are our Lyoko Warriors, the characters that we all know and love, and their young protégées. Not to mention the fact that XANA is not the only enemy that the group is facing… but no spoilers here. So forgive us if we caused any confusion. Our intention was only to give the story a more interesting name.

Incidentally, anyone who can guess the significance of "The Plutarch" to the story before it is revealed will win a special prize. This, I am completely serious about. No, it is not a Hunger Games reference, no this is not going to be a crossover. Definitely not.

Sky's introduction: This started off as a roleplay between my best friend and I some 7 or so years ago. over the past couple of months we discussed whether or not we could turn it into more of a fanfiction-esque story. So we are going to be trying and transform our creation and see what you think!

Rai's introduction: This began as a roleplay. But that was a very long time ago.

My friend Sky and I started this story around seven years ago or so, shortly before the beginning of Season Three. Since then, we have continued it on and off, and as the two of us grew up, the characters grew up with us. We have gotten to know them over the years, and I for one have come to love them. Now we come to you with our edited version and we hope to share them. We don't know if anyone will be interested, but it is my sincere hope that someone might enjoy reading about their many adventures. In the beginning, there were just the two, and their names were Michael and Ivy.
