Chapter 12: Walking Through the Park

After school, sometimes the students would just go hang out at the park, after all, there is so much to do. Some students like Cindy Bear work jobs at said park while other students like Yogi Bear prefer lazying about the park with his buddies. Cindy's good with a parasol so, her job is to teach self-defense classes, she just loves sharing the knowledge with others. She sometimes even manages to get Yogi or Huck to be her partner (personal punching bag) though Huck is far better at defending himself than Yogi is, due to his martial arts training. Others like Top Cat and his gang are busy trying to get people to buy their product. But some students like Super Snooper and Blabber Mouse simply like to hang out at the picnic area, just to talk.

"Geez, Blab," commented Snooper, "I wouldn't have pegged you as the romantic type."

"You don't know me well, then," replied Blabber, sighing dreamily, "I just want my chance chance for her to notice me."

"If you ask me, Blab, you're too good for her."

But other students like Bunny and Penny walked and talked.

"So, Penn," started Bunny as casual as ever with a sly grin, "What do you think of the new guy?"

"What?" she asked, blushing.

"You heard me."

'Well..."

That was when their best best friend, Dee Dee came running by like a flash of lightning.

"Hey, Bunny, hey, Penny!" she cheerfully greeted while bouncing around energetically, "Whatcha doin'?"

"Nothing, just talking," answered Bunny, shrugging her shoulders.

"Cool!" I love talking!" shouted Dee Dee, "But I love sitting and talking more!" pointing to a nearby picnic table, "Let's sit and talk there!" and so, they did, "So, what are you guys talking about?"

Before. Penny could say anything, Bunny pointed at a nearby kid resting under a tree with earbuds in his ears, saying, "That kid in the grey hoodie."

"Cool, I guess," Dee Dee shrugged, "Funny, too... cute?" thoughtfully and asked Penny, "What are you thinking about?"

"What?!" asked Penny, as if she wasn't listening since she was still staring at the boy still under the tree.

Bunny and Dee Dee laughed at that.

"Whatever," said Penny, rolling her eyes, "Let's just watch the local Casanova flirt."

She was referring to Doggie D., a local yellow-furred dachshund who liked to wear shirts with phrases like 'Don't Ever Want A Kid' or 'I Am Not A Virgin' and considers himself 'God's gift to woman' being known to flirt anything in a skirt. There he was flirting with a kat girl, a pretty little thing with black and white fur, a tuxedo cat, wearing a white dress with a black jacket. It was all amusing, especially for the girls.

"Wonder what it would be like to date such smooth operator?" asked Bunny, dreamily.

"Please," commented Penny, "then your crush would lose his adorkable charm and we can't have that, now could we?"

"Right," agreed both Dee Dee and Bunny, nodding their heads.

Dee Dee then quickly stood back up, shouting with the enthusiasm that only a cheerleader could have, "Come on, guys, let's go to where everybody knows our names and they're always glad we came!"

"My family's restaurant?" asked Bunny, raising an eyebrow and turned to Penny, wanting for her opinion.

"Sure, why not?" she shrugged, "I could go for some fries."

"Okay, then," said Bunny, "Let's go," and the trio left the park.

Not to long afterwords, Secret slowly opened his eyes to come to face to face a purple octopus in a bright red vest to looking right at him curiously. Needless to say, Secret screamed. Loudly.

The octopus then shouted, "Secret! It's me! Squiddly!" shaking him, trying to calm him down, before asking with concern, "What are you doing?"

"Thanking God that I'm not a blonde anime woman," was his reply.

"I don't get it," said Squiddly, blinking confused.

"Of course, you don't," Secret commented, rolling his eyes, as he glanced at his phone's clock, suddenly, he panicked, "Oh, my God! I'm late!" and began to run away.

"But, Secret!"

"Whatever, man, I gotta go help my uncle at his shop," he said, readying his skateboard, "So see you later," and left the park.

Squiddly then said to himself, "I just wanted to ask him if he knew where Bunny is, so I could ask if I could join her band," sadly.

As for the squirrel, Morocco grabbed his arm, stopping him, while he was on his way to the mall because he needed some help.
