Noone knew exactly what really happened except the loud thud and an unconscious body on the ground. The shock was presented on almost half of students around the circle.

-FLASHBACK-

Aki withdrew her weapons, a pair of short swords out of nowhere and launched toward Yumi unexpectedly while they were greeting after the was unexpected move but it did not affect Yumi one bit. Yumi caught Aki before she even reached Yumi's side. At this point, Yumi did not really want to tolerant this stupid young youkai anymore. Noblesse or not, she must be in the same group as her beloved. She enhanced her speed and force one more level to knee up her opponent and throw that person away almost the same time, it was

-END FLASHBACK-

"Good. We had our winner. And please anyone, bring that piece of whatever out of my sight. I want a proper punishment for that stupid behaviour, OK?", their teacher announced while looking directly to Youko sama. They gasped at the announcement and realized that the only one who still stood in the circle was no other than their new student. She looked so serene and elegant even after such event. Her classmates were really surprise, the Yumi here wasn't whom was usually clumsy and bubbly that they met in the last few days. She was different and noone could point out what it was. Though, they were quite satisfied with what happened to Aki, honestly not all of them liked that girl.

"Anyone from second group wanna test our new student?", Natsuki said in nonchalant voice. She knew after that kind of performance, even advanced students would not dare to challenge Yumi. Moreover, she was bored already, she wanted to get back to her principal immediately. Natsuki was not happy in this position at all, no thanks to Midori. She had a plan today but just one word "BYE" from that redhead, she was here dealing with these little demons. Remind her next time she saw Midori, she would do what so ever to revenge this. Out of her monologue, running her eyes around one time and she knew noone would love to step up today. She took a breath and said as a matter of fact that Yumi would be in advanced group from now on and motioned her to join that group.

"I'll wait for today report from student council. Class dismissed. Oh and we'll have test next class so prepare yourself", Natsuki waved all of the students off while she was walking inside of the wood.

Once Natsuki was out of sight, Yoshino ran toward her friend and congratulated her. "You were so cool Yumi. Teach me your moves, please." She sounded so enthusiastic that Yumi could not deny her request.

"Sure, why not? We'll spar sometimes and I can show you my moves." Yumi winked and replied cheerfully. The rest of Yamayurikai also came to welcome Yumi into their group. They knew that was up to Sachiko to get Yumi into the council. With her ability, they can control the bad power spread around school ground and beside that they could see the attraction between these two.

Back to business, Youko told groups' leaders to take their group back to dorm and did whatever they had to do before class started the day after. Meanwhile, Rei came back after taking Aki's lifeless body to school infirmary. She approached the group and also commended how good Yumi was. Though, she felt sorry for Aki but she deserved it anyway. They chatted a little about the event and school day, mostly Yoshino talked though but noone cared. Yumi darted her eyes to look at Sachiko, who was talking to three Roses. As if knowing being stared, Sachiko turned back and looked straight into those beautiful mocha eyes, she gave a tender smile and a nod of approval then turned back to continue conversation with her onee-sama and other Roses. Even if it was just a short moment, their interaction did not go unnoticed by others. It was rare to see Sachiko showed her fondness to anyone, and for newcomer no less. Though, they knew the feeling, who can resist such a sweet charming personality.

It took them half an hour to make the ground free again. Because of the early incident, they had to have a meeting to discuss about it and prepare the report as their sensei wanted. However, Yumi was not the member (not yet anyway) so she could not join them. The sadness was visibly on Yumi's face but it was the rule so they couldn't do anything about it. Or perhaps.

"Becoming Sachiko's petite soeur." The voice was from no other than Rose Gigantea. She wrapped her arm around Yumi's neck and used her as support. Everyone looked back and forth hopefully between our two main characters but before Sachiko voiced out her approval.

"Sorry. I have no reason to agree on this. Have a good day everyone." Yumi said firmly and bowed at everyone before she turned around and walked toward the same direction as their sensei took.

They were all shocked about that reply. Properly Sachiko didn't believe that she was rejected by her saviour twice. Though, she could guess why Yumi didn't accept her. She knew she had to prove that she wanted Yumi as her petite soeur not because of avoiding her task this year. However, the most important thing was Yumi just walked further into the Forbidden wood where their principal resided and noone without permission could step inside, it was late by the time they realized it. Sachiko wanted to run after Yumi to get her out of trouble but her onee-sama said it would be ok and force Sachiko go with them toward Rose Mansion. She believed in her sister too much and maybe principal could not harm new student anyway.

After walking without direction for a while, Yumi sensed something familiar that she hadn't picked up for a long time. Stopped abruptly in the middle of the wood, Yumi cleared her mind and tried to focus her energy to pick up the source of this sense. There was nothing but wind blew through tall trees around her, but she could pick out a faint laughing sounds from afar. There were at least two people at that area and one of them was a mysterious Natsuki. Launched herself toward that direction quietly and covered all her scents so those would not suspect her.

"Urgggg, I hate this. They were so annoyed. Can you just let those kids in Yamayurikai take care of those youkais? Please, please, Zuru." Natsuki was whining with her lover. She was lying on her back and used her loved' laps as a pillow, enjoying the gentle hands on her smooth raven hair.

"Neh, Natsuki will do just fine. Moreover, with you there, little Yumi chan will be safe. Do it for me, love" Gently combing Natsuki's hair while pleading her calming. Shizuru lowered herself to kiss that pouted lips of her Natsuki. She was so cute like that and Shizuru enjoyed it too much.

Opened her eyes from under, "Just fine, huh. I would do better.", Natsuki said cheekily and tucked a strand of loose strand of hair from Shizuru when she moved closer to her. Though, luck was not on their side today. Before their lips met, Shizuru smirked and looked into Natsuki's eyes. "We have guest, my Natsuki."

"Screw guest." Natsuki growled and claimed her lover's lips before anything happened. Their kiss was short but enough to bring smile and happiness to them at the moment. "Oh right, right. Show yourself." Natsuki threw her green power cross at the intruder's place even though her lips still lingered at Shizuru's. She pecked her lover one more time before jumped to her feet quickly and helped her loved up.

Surprisingly, their intruder was Fukuzawa Yumi, Shizuru's beloved master. She stepped out of her hiding place, which was behind a big tree few feet away from their place, while she was holding a little white bunny in her arm. Patting its head gently before released it to the nature. Yumi scratched her head apologetically.

"Sorry for interrupting. Maybe, we could sort this out later" Yumi looked embarrassed and ready to turned away from the happy couple.

"Stop, there." Shizuru said firmly. Looking at Natsuki to tell her to let them alone. Being together for a long time helped them converse with each other without voicing out their request. Natsuki walked away slowly.

"Master, welcome back."

When Yumi turned around this time Shizuru was on her knee and greeted her with the proper etiquette for a Noblesse. She was not happy with these types of gestures but she could not do anything to stop Shizuru to keep this thing whenever they met.

"Stand up, Shizuru. You know how much I hate that gesture right? How long was it?"

"Old habit dies hard, Master. And it was almost 500 years." Shizuru stood up and cleared all the dust from her knee. She looked gently at Yumi. Her master still looks the same, still gentle and innocent. She was happy that finally they met.

Looked at her knight carefully. Yumi knew that Shizuru was not changed at all. She still let Yumi read her mind, well at least the part she wanted her to, but it was enough. She looked into Shizuru's mind a brief time to see what had happened with her knight in the last 500 years. Yumi smiled contently when she knew Shizuru wasn't alone like she was before. She had someone important now. Suddenly, she approached close to Shizuru and summoned her sword to stab directly to shizuru heart. "What's mine will come back to me" Yumi whispered before withdraw the sword out. There was no blood or wound on Shizuru's check but she collapsed and ready to fall forward to the ground.

"SHIZURU" Natsuki who was still somewhere nearby saw everything. She ran quickly toward her lover. "What have you done? She's always loyal to you. Why did you do this to her?" Natsuki shouted angrily at Yumi while holding her loved lifeless body in her arms. Tears flowed freely now. She couldn't live without her Shizuru and she couldn't harm Yumi either. She had promised. Her heart hurt so badly.

Yumi cooped Natsuki cheek in her hand and swiped the tears which kept falling. "Awake" Yumi whispered into Natsuki's ear and left.

"I will be back later. It's your call now, young Kertia"

Finally, I have inspiration to continue with what I have started long ago.
