My poker face was on as I stared at Ben, unsure whether or not I wanted to hear this story anymore. He seemed carefree as usual, then again, he still appeared as if he wasn't looking forward to telling me this. Hmph. If it weren't for him, my best friend wouldn't be dead and I wouldn't be in a creepy mansion that harbored serial killers. Not to mention I was stuck in his room.

"I think I can handle it," I snarkily replied, throwing him a crooked grin.

He popped his knuckles one by one, shrugging his shoulders. "Well, alrighty then. Um... well, I don't exactly remember much," he murmured, seeming as though he was digging through his brain for memories. Or, he was trying to find his way around telling some. "I just remember I was a normal teen like you," he chuckled, "Well, maybe take out the normal part." I glared at him, biting my tongue so I wouldn't start another argument. "My eyes were normal and blue, I didn't dress like Link, yadda, yadda. Addicted to video games." His eyes shined as he spoke, and I didn't miss the moment they glanced over at his collection that was scattered on the floor. "And then I died. Poof." He lifted his hands, in a strange motion, I guessed to signify it. "The end."

A strange noise exited my lips as I stared at him, majorly disappointed and a tad eager to hear more. "Are you kidding me, pixie?"

"Hey, I'm no pixie!" he growled, baring his teeth. It took him a second to collect himself, adjusting his hat as he pouted. "And no, I'm not! I just remember being submerged in water, chains around my wrists and ankles, then dying. I was drowned. Ben Drowned. The fucking end. I don't know how I got like that or who did it to me. But I was fucking killed, then met with Zalgo. That's how I got like this," he continued, pointing to himself. "And no I'm not going to go into who Zalgo is," he hissed, rolling his red pupils.

"Who's Zalgo?"

Silence. Then Ben's version of an angry rage face. "You're going to be the death of me."

"Sounds like you're definitely going to be the death of me as well," I sneered. "Plus, it kind of seems like you already died," I giggled, watching as he rolled his eyes once more.

Before he could reply, there was a furious pounding on Ben's door, sounding as if the person behind it was about to be killed. Heh. "Ben, get the fuck out here, now!" Jeff's voice called, sounding choked in a way. Oh man...

Ben's eyes widened as he grabbed my wrist, hauling me up and nearly throwing me in the closet. "Stay there," he ordered, his usually snarky edge gone.

I nodded my head without replying, watching as he shut the door, leaving me alone in the dark. And with the stagnant odor of his socks.

Ben's Point of View

"What?" I hissed to Jeff, stepping outside of my room. He seemed as if he has seen a ghost, his lidless eyes twitching and flittering around.

"You have to come see this," he breathed, turning and nearly running down the hall.

Sighing, I followed his lead, winding down the mansions halls on his heels. Finally, he stopped in front of the drawing room where everyone appeared to be gathered. They seemed to be circling something, all talking at once. But I couldn't fucking see! I mentally cursed my short height as I jumped up and down to no avail.

"What is it?" I asked Jeff, who was appearing to hide from the room. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I snarled, my anger reaching a brink.

"Why don't you step on in and see for yourself!" he murmured, not seeming to want to budge.

"Whatever," I sighed, walking on in.

I saw Slender look up to see me approach, his cheekbones rising on his otherwise blank face. "Ah, Benjamin. We have a new arrival, why don't you come on in and meet him," he acknowledged, nodding towards me. His proxies then went to his side, moving away from the group surrounding the new person.

A new arrival? I looked over to see Laughing Jack and Eyeless Jack step away, EJ seeming emotionless as always due to his mask. I watched as the black goo, that trickled from his eye sockets, dripped to the floor. Ha, that'll surely piss off Slender when he noticed. Jane pulled Sally away, who seemed to be grabbing at the new person and giggling. My eyes then met with the new 'creepypasta'.

It was a boy, around Winter's age. Shaggy brown hair and piercing gold eyes. The only thing that was really off about him, was the blood that seemed to leak from his torso, staining his shirt. But the main thing that was wrong with this new person, was the fact that I recognized him. And I knew good and well Jeff recognized him, too.

Darren.

My throat closed up as I nearly went into panic mode, wondering what the hell we were going to do if he remembered! If he had a conversation with Laughing Jack and the dumb clown brought up Winter. Or, if he went back to see her and she wasn't there. Or, if he tries to kill Jeff in his sleep. Or fucking walks in my room and sees her! I was going to pass out. Why in the hell would Zalgo just so happen to pick this son of a bitch? Just great. Fabulous. As I experienced my personal panic-filled reaction while still smiling, I saw Slender look over at Jeff who was mostly hid behind the door.

"Jeffrey, why don't you come and meet our newcomer?"

Jeff looked like he had just been shot. Sure, I knew it wouldn't bother him if Darren remembered just him. Hell, Jane had. But Winter... I nearly tackled him as he walked into the room, avoiding all eye contact what so ever. The room went silent as Jeff finally looked over at Darren, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"Um... sup?" Jeff murmured, appearing as though he was dying to blink.

I looked over at Darren, my eyes nearly popping out of my head. A large smile pulled across his face as he nodded his head.

"Not much, just became a monster is all," he chuckled. "How about you?"

Jeff and I nearly passed out in relief. He didn't remember. Therefore... he wouldn't remember Winter either, right? I was torn between wanting him to, and not. But the main thing that concerned me, was how Winter was going to react. Should I even tell her? If I didn't and she found out...

Why couldn't things just be easy for once?
