I stared at the guy, as thoughts raged in my head. What to do, what to say. There was just no easy way out. I could barely focus as I heard Slender ask Darren what all he remembered, if he wanted to share it or not. My breath caught in my throat as I waited, anxiously hoping the word 'Winter' would not come out of his mouth. Or Winnie or what ever the fuck he would call her. He couldn't remember her, he just couldn't. Even worse, if he didn't remember her or Jeff now, he could later. The thoughts could slowly trickle back... I was going to throw up.

"I can't remember much of anything. I mean... I remember my name and how to speak and all. The basic necessities of life. But I don't remember anyone or anything. I'm guessing my life wasn't all that good," he murmured, staring down at his blood stained clothes.

I saw Jeff purse his lips out of the corner of my eye, appearing far more than uncomfortable. "Well, um... it was nice meeting you man. We should hang some time... I'm going on back to my room now though, so later," I hurriedly mumbled, turning on my heel before he could reply. As I rushed out of the room, I heard Jeff say he was coming with me as well.

His foot steps were loud as he nearly sprinted up behind me. His bloodshot eyes appeared drained as he let out a giant huff of air. "Well, that was just fun as hell," he chuckled under his breath, the chuckle instantly turning into an outrageous laugh.

"Yeah, ha ha," I grumbled. "You better feel lucky. Very lucky," I sighed as I approached my room.

I opened the door, seeing my empty room. That's when I remembered that I had left Winter in the closet. Ah damn... Rushing over, I yanked the closet door open, Winter tumbling out. She let out a small squeak of a scream, jumping to her feet instantly. A light blush was on her cheeks as she stared at me angrily.

"A little notice would have been nice," she growled, rubbing the back of her head. "And thanks for locking me in there with your dirty socks!"

Jeff was howling with laughter once more, using the door for support as my cheeks flushed. "Well, doll, it was a boys closet. Shouldn't have been a surprise," I spat in reply as Jeff continued to laugh behind me.

"It wasn't much of a choice. You should wash those nasty things. So where did you two run off to?" she asked, plopping down on my bean bag chair.

This is what I was debating about the entire way here. Should I tell Winter or not? She already knew Jeff killed her friend. But I knew good and well that she would want to see him after knowing he was back. He wouldn't remember her though. And with no memory, and no reason to care for her safety, what would stop him from telling the others? Perhaps I was over thinking this. I probably was. Why did I even care enough to keep her here? She was just an annoying little hassle. A toy that was different from the others.

"There's a new guest in the mansion... another one of us," I replied, a bit bleakly. If she didn't push any further, I wouldn't say. But knowing Winter, she would.

"Oh, that's cool. What's the dude's name? Or chick?" she asked, causing my eyes to squint closed. Fucking hell. Damn her soul to Zalgo.

Jeff was silent off to the side, his line of sight directed on me. Asshole, leaving me to bring the glorious news. Ah well, here goes nothing. "It's your old friend... Darren," I breathed, mentally flinching as I prepared for her reaction. First, her eyes widened. Then, her mouth dropped, tears gathering in her icy orbs. Just fantastic. Great.

"He's... here?" she breathed, appearing more vulnerable now than she ever has... Well, other than when I found her in that hotel room.

"Yeah, he's here. But the thing is... he doesn't remember you. He doesn't remember his life before at all. Not his family, his home. Not Jeff, or... you. He's just a shell of who you knew, nothing else," I replied, trying my best to be mature. It wasn't a time to piss her off even more.

Her eyes seemed to darken, the slight hope in them gone in an instant. "So... I can't see him?" she breathed.

"There wouldn't be much of a point in seeing him, princess," Jeff spoke up, his arms crossed across his chest. "You'd have to start right from the beginning again."

She nodded curtly, shifting where she sat. "At least he's alive... sort of. Why can't he remember anything?" she asked, and I could see she was trying her best not to let her emotions get the best of her.

"It happens when some of us are created or brought into this life. Masky for example... he can't remember anything," I replied with a shrug. "It's kind of good though. He could have started blabbering to LJ about you and then your cover would have been blown."

She nodded again. "Alright. Could I have something to drink? That humid closet of yours got me thirsty," she chuckled, looking away.

I knew she just wanted to be alone. I nodded, pulling Jeff out of the room with me. But right as I closed the door, there stood the man we were just speaking of. Darren was leaning against the wall, a thick scowl on his face as he stared at Jeff. Jeff stared back, his expression no more appealing. I saw his hand clench in his pocket, holding his knife tightly. What was going on here? I thought they were okay? But by the look on Darren's face, he was not.

"Hello, Jeff," he growled, baring his teeth.

"Sup newbie. How's life doing you?" Jeff replied, trying to sound hospitable.

"Cut the bullshit," Darren hissed, stalking up to Jeff. I watched in silence, my eyes wide.

"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?" Jeff spat, shoving Darren into the wall, his knife now raised to his throat.

"I think I'm talking to Jeff the Killer. The fuck who killed me and brought me into this hellhole," she boy seethed, shoving a shocked Jeff back.

"Wha... I... I thought you didn't remember anything!" Jeff stuttered, as I nearly fell over. Things were just getting too crazy for me. Far too crazy.

"That's the thing. I don't. All I remember is you. You killing me. That's the only thing I can fucking remember. So now, since I have to live under the same roof as you, you're life is going to be hell. Just like mine is now. And the first chance I get, I'm shoving your knife through both of your skulls," Darren purred, a malicious smile spreading across his face. With that, he turned and walked away, leaving us dumbfounded behind.

"Did he just say both?"
