Chapter 14

Killian's emotions were so on edge when he left Emma that he failed to notice the Daimon watching him from across the street. All he knew was that if Emma was going on a date he needed to be far, far, away from the area or her date would be a dead man. He had no claim on her. It was for the best, if he were going to bring Milah back and betray Emma in the process there would be no future for them anyways. He had to find Loki, he needed more information.

"Looking for me?" Loki's voice came to him from the alley way and he appeared unwrinkled as ever moments later.

"How do you bloody do that?" Killian asked slightly startled the God could still sneak up on him so effortlessly. That was his talent; he was the one to sneak up on others.

"It seems you are a bit distracted. You do have Emma under control, correct? It wouldn't do for her to roam the city on her own and stumble into her long lost parents. Who are here. Right now. Looking for her." Loki bit the words out harshly.

Her parents were here. Oh Gods why had he made the deal with Loki? Was his happiness worth more than hers? He could give her the family she didn't have in that foster brother of hers. The family he knew she craved.

"I know what you are thinking Killian and I would advise against it." Loki told him. "Her parents can not find her."

"And they won't." He promised quietly.

"Good. Then I suggest you make your way back to Emma's quarters and keep an eye on her. Lock her up if you have to." Loki laughed at his own words, almost as if he had read Killian's mind earlier when he had wanted to do just that.

"She has a date." Killian responded shortly. There was no way he could watch her on a date with someone who wasn't him. It made his blood boil in his veins.

"I don't care how you do it, just keep an eye on her." Loki replied and then he was gone like he had never been standing in front of him in the first place.

He silently looked up to the sky, praying for strength for what he knew he had to do now.

Emma walked into the small diner and grabbed a seat by the window. She loved to watch the crowds. It would be good company on her date with her breakfast. She let out a small laugh, the distance between herself and Killian allowed her to see the funny in the whole situation. That and she had calmed herself down before heading out for food. After she ordered her food she gazed out the window taking in the growing darkness along with the growing crowds. A flash of black leather caught her attention and she focused on the alleyway she had thought she seen it near.

Had he followed her? She smiled at the thought. The affect she had on him was greater than she had known. The waitress drew her attention away from the dark alley, as she placed her bacon and eggs down on the table in front of her. "Mmmmhhh." Emma sighed breathing in her salvation deeply. "Thank you." She told the girl and then her attention was on her food. If there was one thing she loved, it was food.

Killian watched Emma from the shadow of the alleyway. He was sure she could see him, until she turned her attention to her plate of food. It wasn't possible, with his ability to blend into the shadows of course, but he could've sworn he felt her eyes meet his. It was right before she smiled.

He was on edge the whole time she ate. Her date seemed to be a no show and he couldn't help but feel a little relieved. Until a man approached her table and slid into the booth across from her. She seemed surprised and happy at the appearance of the man. Killian could feel his teeth grinding together and his growl filled the alleyway. After a few minutes of torture which consisted of watching them talk, his feet started carrying him through the street and across to the diner. He pushed random people from his path as he made his way to the door. As he pulled open the door and stepped into the small place he watched as Emma reached her hand across the table and touch him softly.

Without his consent his feet moved him to the table and he stood next to the silent couple gaping up at him. "Emma." He ground out. His feelings were too close to the surface for him to get anything else out. Instead he put down a twenty on the table and pulled her up from her seat.

"What are you doing?" She said trying to tug her hand away from him. The fierce look on his face had her turning to August as Killian continued to pull her toward the door. "I will call you later." She promised her foster brother. He had arrived to help her look for Neal, when she had called him and told him that she was close to finding him, he had insisted on coming to help. She tried to tell him not to but he had shown up anyways. August said he tried to call last night, and it was just chance that he found her in the diner. It turned out that he did care after all.

"Don't count on it." Killian shot at August. And she had to suppress a smile. The bewildered look that was on August's face almost made her laugh out loud.

Killian couldn't get her back to her room quickly enough. His grip on her wrist eased a little and if she truly wanted to she could have pulled free. But she didn't. It made his temper dissipate slightly. Although, each time he thought of the man she had been on a date with he felt the flames of his anger flare up again. He didn't say anything as he led them back to her room and she stayed silent as well.

It was time to get her out of his system, and then maybe he could focus on his task. He stopped in front of her door and let go of her wrist. Arching a brow at him she pulled her key card from her back pocket and swiped it through the door. An instant later they were inside and she was held between his body and the door at her back. The excitement she was feeling escalated as she felt his heavy breathing against her neck as he tried to pull in his feelings. "I didn't like that." He told her, "seeing you with him—I am sorry, but I didn't like it." He spoke into her neck and his breath was warm against her skin. His breathing calmed slightly.

"August—" she paused when his body tensed, "—he is my foster brother. He's just in town to help me find Neal. I told him not to—" her words broke off as he claimed her lips in a heated kiss. Responding she grabbed onto his shoulders and tugged his jacket off, it fell into a puddle at their feet. All while his hand worked her shirt free of her pants. The warmth of his palm traced its way up her rib cage and cupped her breast lightly. His thumb flicked over her already taut nipple, the feel of it through her silk bra spread warmth down into her stomach.

Killian pulled his mouth from hers so that he could pull her shirt completely off. She helped him and quickly discarded it on top of his jacket. Then she was back in his arms. Her small hands pushed his vest off his shoulders and his shirt quickly followed. They came back together and skin brushed skin. The only fabric in the way of full contact was her silky pink bra, but he didn't care, he had to taste her sweet mouth again.

Tongues tangled, breaths mingled, and moans came from both of them equally. Suddenly it was too much and not enough. He had to have her now. Later he would go slowly, but now he would claim her the way he needed too. The way she needed him too. Without words they removed their pants, both almost frantic in their movements. She pulled her jeans from her legs followed by her panties and then she helped free him from his. That was all they needed and his warmth was pressing against her opening. She brought a leg up to wrap around his waist and he thrust into her before pulling the other up to wrap around him fully.

"That's it. Gods, Emma you are so warm and tight." He murmured into her hair before he started to move again. "Tell me you want this too." He commanded.

"Yes!" She cried immediately as she arched into him, taking him deeper. Her actions broke any restraint he had been holding onto and he started to move swiftly.

"Later we will go slow." He promised between kisses spread down her neck. He was tempted to sink his teeth into her neck and claim her fully, but he held back. Instead he claimed her mouth and her cries of pleasure.

"Fast is good." She panted out, as their lips broke apart. Then she took control and started to move on him matching his pace of before, all he could do was move to lean against the wall and support her weight as she rode him. "Right there, oh god, yes!" She moaned her head thrown back. He watched her expression under hooded eyes. This was bliss. As she reached climax he quickly followed.

With a moan she disentangled from him and stood on limp legs, still holding onto his shoulders. "That was—" he began his arms tightening slightly around her waist.

"Mind blowing sex." She finished as she pulled back a bit and unclasped her bra and added it to the pile at their feet. "Do you think you can top that?" She purred before heading to the bed. The warmth of their juices mingled on her. Making her want more. Killian watched her climb onto the covers and he felt the stirring of lust return. What was it about this woman?

"I'm just getting started." He promised as he joined her on the bed.

Hours later, after they were both sated and happy, Emma talked Killian into going out for some fresh beignets with some chocolate sauce to dip them in. "I will return quickly, love." He told her and kissed her on the nose lightly. She smiled in response.

Killian found himself humming under his breath as he made his way down to the kitchens to have the cook make up some of the sugary treats for Emma. He wasn't familiar with feeling this level of contentment and it was all because of her. He had been foolish to think he could get her out of his system. And he knew now he couldn't keep her from her parents, he would tell her about them. Then he would help her find them. The thought brought a smile to his face. Even knowing he was giving up his one chance to bring back his brother.

Emma relaxed back into the rumpled bed a smile firmly in place. This was more than lust for her. She knew it. Her heart knew it. But she didn't care. What if she had found something real here? What if he was real? Was it too soon to think these thoughts? Extending her hand out to the empty bed beside her she pulled the pillow over and buried her face into it inhaling sharply. Mmmm, he smelled like the wind and something slightly salty like the sea. Definitely something she could get used too.

It wasn't quite love. Not yet. She was wary to put that label on anything, not since- Neal. The thought of him and his trickery didn't even make her happiness dissipate. That was new. A good new. She was starting to feel like a teenaged girl with a huge crush. With a sigh and a smile she couldn't stop she hugged the pillow to her and waited for Killian to return.

Gregory slipped into the hotel's elevator unnoticed after he watched Hook go into a hallway leading away from the lobby. Tamara urged him to be faster. "Be quick! Hook could return at any moment." She instructed as he pressed the button for the floor Emma Swan was staying on. He had called around earlier posing as a family member and the stupid employees just gave the information away freely. He had staked out a place outside the hotel earlier and watched Hook leave. He should have taken his chance then but he had become distracted by Loki approaching Hook. "Greg, are you not listening to me?"

"I am. I hear you. But he looked to be in a hurry to get away from here. Maybe he won't come back." He said to placate his dead wife. "Soon you will be back with me fully. Loki has promised us."

As he stepped from the elevator he passed a normal couple waiting to get on. They whispered to each other. Gregory didn't have time for mortals at the moment; their souls were safe from him tonight. He brushed past them briskly and walked swiftly to Ms. Swan's door. "Those humans are staring at you." His wife hissed at him. "Act like you're suppose to be here."

"I am. I am." He told her as he glanced back at the couple. They were entering the elevator and he sighed in relief. But it wasn't like he couldn't take care of them, if he had to. He raised his hand and knocked on the door. He could hear footsteps approaching the door and he prepared himself to pounce.

"You are back faster than I thou-" Emma's voice trailed off as she swung the door open to reveal one of the Daimon's that had attacked her and Killian on one of the first nights she had met him all those months ago. The man had a sinister smile on his face as he launched himself at her. Her hands flew up to block him instinctively and a light shot from her palms and sent him crashing to the wall behind him. Shocked she looked at her palms, "what in the hell?" She whispered.

That small hesitation on her part allowed the man to recover and he had her pinned to the ground in an instant. "I'm going to enjoy draining you. I've never drunk from a Demi-god before. Do you even have a soul?"

She bucked trying to get him off of her, but his grip was strong. "Let go of me you crazy nut job!" She screamed. He answered with a laugh as he pushed her to her stomach and pulled her hands behind her back. He pulled too hard and her shoulder came out of its socket. Her gasp of pain was greeted by yet another laugh.

"We will take it slow. Loki didn't say how fast it had to be. You like torture don't you my love?" He looked over his shoulder at Tamara who was grinning in glee.

"I am not your love!" Emma panted as he pulled her to her feet by her arms, causing even more pain to shoot through her. Another sinister laugh reached her before blackness threatened her vision and then she was swimming in it. No pain. No light. No fear.

A/N - Yay! Hope you enjoyed the chapter. It was a fun one to write. And you can thank Angelfan984 for the suggestion of having Emma's POV of the after part as that was not in the first draft. ^.^
