"And then you hit this button-"

Ben paused as his door handle jiggled. He was to my side, controller in hand, showing me a new cheat. Although, at this moment, it didn't really matter. My eyes were wide as I stared at him, noticing his smile fall. He seemed to be debating whether or not he wanted to ask who it was.

"It's me, elf, open up," Jeff huffed from the other side.

Ben let out a sigh of relief. Standing, he walked over and opened the door. Jeff stomped in, his usually frequent smile gone. Twisting around, he glared at Ben as he shut the door. Ben raised an eyebrow as he looked over Jeff, snorting slightly at the same time.

"You alright, man? What's got your panties in a bunch," he chuckled, smirking as he crossed his arms.

Jeff rolled his lidless eyes, appearing to growl under his breath. "Just that new fucker is all. Annoying son of a bitch wont leave me alone."

I was so close to saying something, but when Ben's eyes flickered to me, I knew not to. Jeff didn't really seem in a playful mood, which truthfully was disappointing to me.

"That sucks, man. Why don't you go out and kill? Should give you some time away, fresh air," Ben smiled, although it didn't touch his eyes.

Jeff paused. "I just got back from killing, if you don't recall," he cackled.

Ben's eyes widened. "You mean he followed you outside the mansion? Damn." I could see the frustration growing on his face, as he eyebrows pushed together. Blood began to leak from his eyes.

"Um... yeah. Besides the point, I was wanting to see if you wanted to go hunt his ass down? Maybe beat the shit out of him," Jeff grinned, evilly.

That's when I got tired of playing silent. "Lighten up, Jeff," I spat. "How would you feel if your only memory was of the guy who killed you... and you have to live with the guy."

Jeff's head flickered over to me, then froze. His eyes were wide, seemingly shocked. Yet he held his tongue for what ever reason. I mimicked his expression, as Ben looked between the two of us.

"Say, when was the last time you killed, Benny boy?" Jeff asked, although his gaze remained on me.

Ben's eyebrows smashed together even more, although a new sheepish expression pulled across his face. "Um... yeah, well, its been a while now..." he hesitantly laughed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"And how do you plan on doing that with this chick in the room?" Jeff sneered, finally breaking his eyes away from mine. Even though they did, I continued to glare at the bastard.

"This chick?" I growled, shaking my head. Darren must really be getting under his skin if he was going to act this way.

"I... well, I haven't really thought of that," Ben mumbled, pursing his lips.

"Why not?" Jeff grinned, his pinprick eyes falling back on me. Was he losing it or something?

"Because she's a damn human, where the hell have you been?" Ben growled. "You know man, if that guy is bothering you this much, you might as well tell Slender, don't you think? He could get rid of him with the snap of his fingers."

Jeff was already shaking his head. "Nah, that wont be necessary. I just need to sleep for a bit, then try to ram my knife through his skull tomorrow. Your little human can stay in my room while ya work, if she needs. Slender will start to notice if you're not working, you know?"

Ben's eyes narrowed, and my heart nearly stopped... Unfortunately, it has been doing that frequently since I've entered this hell hole. I can't say anyone would blame me.

"Listen here, dude. I know you're right. But if you touch one hair on her blue head, you're gonna wake up with somethin' missing, capeesh?"

Jeff chuckled. "Trust me, man. I don't want any of her pretty little blue hair. Stop on by later to pick her up," Jeff nodded, heading back to the door.

My eyes were wide as I stared at Ben, ice flooding into my veins. Honestly, I would much rather stay in Laughing Jack's room right now. I might be alright in Jeff's book now, but I surely didn't want to be alone with him. Ben smiled halfheartedly as he walked forward.

"Don't worry, doll. I'll be there as soon as I can. You know me and him are best friends, he's not gonna let anything happen to you."

I pursed my lips before nodding, then standing up. I noticed Jeff peeking out in the hall, I guess to make sure no one would see me. I followed him out, looking back at Ben before the door shut behind me. I let out a relieved sigh to see that Jeff's room was just next door, walking right on in. But once I did, I froze right as the door shut behind me.

In the corner was what seemed to be a battered body, crumpled and unconscious. Blood was soaking into the carpet around them, nearly matted into their black hair. Right as my eyes met the ones that wouldn't shut, I felt my heart drop to the very pit of my stomach. My grey eyes flickered back and forth between the two figures in the room, who looked identical in every way. Only one was smiling broadly, and the other looked as if he was beaten to a pulp.

One thing I knew now... was that this man was not Jeff. It did make sense, seeing how odd he had acted, now. Not calling me by my name, seeming surprised that I was a human, let alone there. Tears pricked in my eyes as the mystery Jeff chuckled darkly, before seeming to trickle away before my eyes.

Standing in his place was the last person I wanted to see.

Hell, I'd rather see the Slenderman right now, instead of the cocky man whom was no longer my friend. Darren's smug smile was broad as his eyes raked over me, overjoyed it appeared.

"Darren," I whispered, my eyebrows turning up in the corners. I ached to run back to Ben's room and force my way in. I didn't care if he was killing or not. This was not my Darren. Seeing him hurt just as much as it scared me. I remembered what Ben had said about not knowing what advantages he might have... and now I knew. Possibly the worst advantage he could have in the world.

He frowned as I said his name, baring his teeth. "That supposed to be my name or something?" he growled, causing me to flinch.

I wanted to crumple to the ground at this very second. I felt like an entirely new person, not the smartass bitch from before who laughed at insults. These past few days have nearly destroyed me in every single way. This, however, was just the cherry on top.

"Yes," I swallowed, "It is. Why... why did you bring me in here?" I asked, taking a step back towards the door.

His smile returned. "Well, I was going to bring that little elf fucker in here, originally. But when I saw a little human girl in there, who he seemed to care about... well, it seemed all the more fun. Both these bastards are going to pay," he nodded, noticeably proud of himself.

"Ben didn't do anything," I spat, narrowing my eyes. "If you want revenge, then take it out on Jeff, I don't care. He was the one who killed you. Ben played no part."

"Are you sure about that?" he grinned, maliciously.

Not playing into his game another second, I turned on my heel, almost slamming into the door. My hand shook as I grabbed the handle, trying to twist it. But before I could, my head was smashed into the door, black flooding my vision.

Ben...
