Chapter 17 - Hunger
Emma stared out at the expanse of blue-green sky. It was not like earth, yet so similar in so many ways. She wasn't sure how long she sat staring at the sky. Her skin was still the blue and green swirls and her claws were so hard that filing them didn't work. Figuring out how to change her skin back to normal was turning out to be quite the challenge and she had all but given up. Maybe she needed lessons.
Ash had brought her to her own island with the promise of leaving her alone to process it all as he said. She snorted at the thought. It wouldn't be that easy. Finding out that your parents are Gods and that you are a God killer really took a toll on your emotions. Not to mention the stuff with Killian.
The thought of Killian brought up his crushed face the last time she had seen him. A twinge of sadness filled her. He hadn't wanted to lose her; he had been the first person in her whole life that didn't want to lose her. Although she supposed her parents hadn't wanted to lose her either.
Hunger distracted her from her thoughts but it wasn't a hunger for food. She had tried eating the food that had been left by some unseen person over the last few days. But it hadn't helped the hunger. It was time to face the world. Or at least find Ash so he could explain stuff a little better.
Snow paced the floor in front of him and he watched her warily. She was much like her daughter and very quick to temper, but she seemed to have less of a sense of humor. She had not left his presence since she had shown up.
After they had explained everything fully she had been convinced if she just stayed with Killian that she would see her daughter soon. Charming hadn't been as convinced and was currently looking in different realms with August. Killian was starting to lose hope. Maybe she would never come back. Maybe dying would be preferable to what he had forced on her.
"How long can she survive without your blood?" Snow asked turning from the darkened window. "Does she have to take it from you directly?"
"Ash has told me that since she is new to the change that she will need to have it soon. But the farther along in the change she is the longer between—uh—feedings. And he said that it would be best to drink from me directly." He explained what Ash had told him when he returned and only told them Emma was safe but nothing about her location.
"You are immortal? Yes?"
"I am."
"Good."
Killian ran his hand through his hair for the millionth time. "I don't know that it will matter. I don't think she is coming back. I didn't exactly ask her permission before changing her." He swallowed the pain down at admitting that.
"I am glad you made the choice you did. With out you doing so would have changed the world in so many ways. A God Killer is so much more than just a killer; they are the balance of good. They make it even. If the evil starts to win they remove some of it. If the good has too much power they remove some of it. She is going to be a powerful force for good in this world." Snow told him, her face softening at his pain. She still had her regal stance but now she seemed less intimidating. "If my daughter has even part of the heart that her father and I carry, she will be back. Have hope."
"Thank you." He said and he meant it. Her kind words touched him and made his guilt lessen.
Just then Ash flashed into the room, his sunglasses on even in the darkness. "Killian, Emma is asking for you."
He turned towards Ash as the small spark of hope turned into a flame in his chest. "She is?"
"Yes. But I can only take you. No gods from other pantheon's can be where I am taking you." He looked over to a still Snow. "You will see your daughter again." He promised her.
Killian looked over at Snow, "I will bring her back to you." She nodded slightly as tears glistened in her eyes.
In the blink of an eye they were on a mountain over looking a deep blue lake. It was almost magical looking. "I must warn you. The drinking—it sometimes turns sexual. It is pleasurable for both, but I'm not sure Emma is the right state of mind right now. Just be careful." Ash told him.
"Where is she?"
Ash turned away from the lake and pointed to a small building that was just a small walk up a path. "I will be back for you in the morning." He told him and then he was gone.
Apprehension filled Killian as he looked up at the small building. Light came from within, yet he hesitated as he watched the light flicker as though from a flame. What would he say? What could he say? He wasn't sorry. It had saved her life. He may have been sorry in the way it happened. Her dying was his fault. Gregory had gotten his revenge. He couldn't put it off any longer so he made his way up to the building.
"Emma?" He called as he knocked softly on the door.
"Killian?" She replied. "How did you get here?" The door opened to reveal her. She was beautiful and the sight of her standing before him was like having a glass of water after almost dying of thirst. Her skin still swirled in that strange new way. It was strange but no less beautiful than her human form. She hid her claws curled up into the palms of her hands.
"Ash brought me. He said you wanted me."
"I—" She opened and closed her mouth and he realized that she hadn't asked for him.
"It's okay love. Ash knows you need me. You can get what you need and I can leave if you'd like." He swallowed hard and she could sense how hard the words had been for him to say. It wasn't that she didn't want him here, she wasn't sure she should be around anyone. She couldn't yet control anything.
"It's not that." Emma told him. She tried to smile but the strange fangs in her mouth still didn't feel right as they tried to poke out of her mouth. "It's—"
"Lets just take care of your need for blood first, then you can try to explain if you want." He broke in.
Her eyes flicked to the pulse in his throat and she licked her purple lips. Her breathing started to come quicker and her pupils inside the swirling blue-green of her eyes started to dilate.
Killian stepped past her and into her small home. He looked back with a small smile and then softly took hold of her hand and moved her from the doorway. There was a small couch close to a small fireplace. The only light in the room came from the fireplace. It would probably be better to see what they were doing. At least the first few times, neither one of them were experts at this.
Before he could fully sit down she was on him her fang's found his neck like she had been doing it all her life. A shock of pleasure shot through him and the response his body had couldn't be denied. He just barely held his hips in place and not pressing up into her straddling body. A soft moan came from Emma as she drew on his neck; it was now her life's blood.
The sweet tang of his blood on her tongue was nothing like the coppery taste from when she was human. It coursed through her veins joining them together as one. A hot need followed and she pressed down into his erection. At the pressure he seemed to lose the control he had and he bucked up at her and gripped her butt in his hand. His hook was wrapped around her and held her firmly to him.
She broke free and looked down at him. The fire reflecting on his hair and skin made him look like a god in his own right. She wanted him. With a strength she had not possessed before the change she broke the button off of his pants and moved enough to pull them down to free him from the confines. She shed her own pants and then in one swift motion impaled herself on him. He watched her all along with hooded eyes filled with desire. His head fell back exposing his neck completely and she couldn't hold back from sinking her teeth into him again.
As she slowly drank she rode him. He moaned as she pulled her mouth away and started to ride him harder. He reached his hand up to cup her breast and she pulled it away and held it above his head. She shook her head at him silently telling him that she was making the moves.
"Gods Emma, you feel so good." He groaned as she quickened her pace even more than before.
"Oh, yes!" She cried as she threw her head back and fell over the edge into pure bliss, unlike any other orgasm she had ever had before. He followed shortly after and she finally released his hand and hook, so he wrapped his arms around her to hold her close.
Everything had changed and they had so much to figure out. But this was right between them. "I love you, Emma." He whispered against her neck, he hadn't been planning on saying it, but it felt right. She tensed on top of him and then she pulled back.
"I love you too." She told him simply.
