"SASUKE!" Daisuke shouted. Landing on the head of the statue of Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage and co-founder of Konoha, she took a few steps forward. Sasuke stopped walking and slowly turned around to face Daisuke. A look of horror crossed her face as one of his eyes was now with a black sclera with a yellow iris and pupil. Daisuke also saw Sasuke's curse mark was covering half of his face.

"What do you want?" he asked her uninterested.

"Sasuke….what is wrong with you? Why are you going to Orochimaru?" she asked him.

"Why does it matter to you?"

"Because you're my family and I care for you! That's why!" Daisuke shouted at him. "Are you really just going to leave the village after everything you, Naruto, and I have been through!? All the blood, sweat and tears we have shed together, the battles we have fought as a team, the happy moments. Are you just going to act like they never happened!?" she asked him angrily but Sasuke remained silent. "Answer me!"

"Why should I. That village is just holding me back. I will never achieve the power that I need in order for me to defeat my brother and avenge our clan," Sasuke said. He twitched and clapped a hand over his neck. After a few moments of panting, he recovered his poise, though his eyes were bloodshot and twitching slightly.

"What did those freaks do to you Sasuke!? A few hours ago you said you didn't need the power Orochimaru could offer you!" Daisuke told him.

"Hahaha! So? I changed my mind," he replied. "This power… it's overwhelming. This is it, just what I was looking for!" The cursed seals across his face flared ominously for a moment. Daisuke clenched her fists, she thought back to all her friends who came with her on this mission to save Sasuke; how Choji stayed behind to fight Jirōbō, how Neji is fighting Kidōmaru, Kiba and Akamaru fighting Sakon and last but not least how Naruto and Shikamaru stayed to fight Kimimaro allowing Daisuke to continue on.

"You don't get it. Everyone risked their lives to save you!" she shouted.

"Well, good for you," Sasuke said as he turned and began to walk away. Daisuke shed a single yet silent tear, as Sasuke continued to walk off he saw a shadow above him and he turned around and looked up.

"How can you think of us that way!?" Daisuke shouted angrily as she tackled Sasuke to the ground. "You're telling me that our comrades' lives were risked for nothing!?" she asked before punching Sasuke hard in the face. She left a bruise and little blood trickled from his mouth. Sasuke remained silent for several moments before he turned and spat some blood onto Daisuke's face, shocking her. Sasuke after a few more moments, Sasuke broke the silence.

"My comrades huh? The only person you can ever rely on in life is yourself. Power is all that matters, that is why I am going to Orochimaru," he told her, and the cursed seal spread a tiny bit further. Daisuke froze up in momentary shock before growling.

"Are you out of your mind Sasuke!? He killed the third Hokage, he nearly destroyed the Leaf village, and he kidnapped me and turned me into a lab rat. You think that any kind of power he offers you will be free of charge? He only wants to use your body as a new suit of clothes. You will never walk out of there alive! You want to avenge our clan? Well you can't do it if you go to Orochimaru, he doesn't care about you. You are expendable to him," she told him, Sasuke looked at her with indifference.

"That doesn't matter to me, as long as I achieve my goal my wellbeing doesn't concern me," he said grabbing Daisuke's shirt. To her shock he lifted her into the air and stood up. He chuckled evilly before he dropped and punched her hard in the gut. Coughing up blood, she went flying down to the water below and she began to sink. The chuckle intensified until it was insane maniacal laughter.

"He's stronger than I thought. And I'm low on chakra and stamina….." Daisuke thought to herself before her eyes snapped open and she burst out of the water. "You're crazy Sasuke!" she shouted. She threw kunai with exploding tags attached to their handles and they flew at Sasuke who jumped into the air, leaving the kunai to hit the statue of Madara Uchiha and explode uselessly, only causing the statue's face to crack.

"Is that it?" Sasuke asked appearing in front of Daisuke who blocked his punch. She kicked towards his torso, but he blocked it and swung a leg towards her head. Daisuke was hit in the temple and sent flying down to the water. Sasuke managed to snag one of her two pouches and landed on top of the damaged face of Madara Uchiha while Daisuke righted herself and she landed on her feet panting heavily. "I told you I'm done with the Leaf village, a future with you and the others is not want I want anymore. My future…..it's a place you can no longer follow me. From now on, I walk that path alone," he told Daisuke who frowned at him.

"You don't need to walk that path alone Sasuke! Naruto and I were always there to help you out! You want to kill Itachi to avenge our clan, we can do that the way we've always done it, as a team," she told Sasuke. She ran towards him but he threw a kunai towards her with an explosive tag attached. After jumping to the side, she hid behind a rock as the kunai exploded, sending debris flying. A piece of it hit Daisuke's cheek leaving a gash with blood dripping from it.

"As a team? You two always held me back when we were this so called team, Daisuke," Sasuke told her as he took out two kunai. He threw them towards the rock Daisuke was hiding behind, and one kunai hit the other making it change its direction and head right down towards Daisuke, who deflected it with a one of her own. Sasuke then removed some ninja wire from the stolen pouch. Daisuke jumped over the rock and headed towards Sasuke when he threw three shuriken towards her. She did not see the ninja wire attached to them in time and they ensnared and bound her to the rock.

"Sasuke, I'm warning you. Don't do this!" she shouted before gasping. Those handsigns! Sasuke was flashing through handsigns.

"FIRE STYLE: DRAGON FLAME JUTSU!" he shouted mentally as fire erupted from his mouth and shot down the wire towards Daisuke. It engulfed her in a massive inferno and Sasuke watched as the fire consumed the rock. With a blank face he turned around and was met with a fist from Daisuke in the face, and he was sent flying off the statue. Daisuke jumped off after him and punched him several times before Sasuke grabbed her and flipped her around. Both crashed into the ground and Daisuke took the brunt of the fall, and she looked up at Sasuke who simply jumped back and landed a few feet away.

"So…this isn't like all those other times he and I fought. He really wants to kill me now…but why?" Daisuke thought struggling to her feet. "Alright, Sasuke. If you want to fight me, then all you needed to do was say so!" she shouted, grabbing a solider pill from her pouch. "I can't be frivolous with these, I only have one more," she thought swallowing the pill and her chakra levels filled back close to their original levels.

"Well, come on then," Sasuke told her as his Sharingan activated and Daisuke's responded in kind. Both charged towards each other and threw a punch, but both strikes were caught by the other. Sasuke kicked but Daisuke grabbed it and pivoted before throwing Sasuke into the air. She followed jumping after him and delivered a spin kick, but Sasuke used his arms and blocked. Despite his action, he was thrown to the ground and Daisuke went through handsigns.

"FIRE STYLE: PHOENIX FIRE JUTSU!" she exclaimed shooting basketball sized balls of fire at Sasuke. He jumped into the air to dodge them before he kicked towards Daisuke. She ducked under it and punched Sasuke in the gut, making him open his mouth as blood spilled out of it. Twisting her fist, Daisuke sent Sasuke spiralling as he fell to the ground with a thud. Daisuke landed on the ground and panted as Sasuke got to his feet.

"Do you still think we're on the same team, Daisuke?" he asked her.

"No. Not this time, this time….it's different," she answered as she removed her headband and placed it in her pouch. "This time, we fight not as Leaf Shinobi, but as Uchiha." She ran towards Sasuke who mirrored her, and she jumped over him and bounced off a tree. Sasuke jumped after her and the two exchanged blows in the air before Daisuke was punched in the face, sending her crashing into the water far below. Sasuke landed on one of the fingers on the Hashirama statue and Daisuke climbed out of the water. She ran up the statue and Sasuke ran down, both drawing a kunai. Throwing them at each the opposing shinobi, the kunai bounced off one another. Sasuke then grabbed Daisuke and flipped over her and then he threw her down to the water but she righted herself and landed on her feet and Sasuke went through handsigns and his hand was engulfed in lightning.

"CHIDORI!" he exclaimed jumping down and he began to run across the water towards Daisuke.

"That's an assassination jutsu! You're willing to kill me Sasuke!?" Daisuke shouted at him in shock, but Sasuke remained silent as he ran towards her. "Alright, fine!" She held out her hand and a Rasengan formed in it. "RASENGAN!" she shouted and ran at Sasuke. Both slammed their respective jutsu into one another and they exploded, sending both Daisuke and Sasuke skidding across the water and water high into the sky.

"She cancelled out my Chidori when it was at full power," Sasuke thought in amazement as Daisuke slowly got back to her feet. "I can't waste another blow. Kakashi said I could only use two Chidori without killing myself, I'll need to hit her with my faster jutsu to create an opening. His curse mark flared to life and covered his entire face followed by his entire body.

"Sasuke…." Daisuke thought sadly.

"You know what they say don't you Dai? That when two shinobi are powerful enough, they can read each other's thoughts through their fists without ever exchanging a single word," Sasuke told her.

"Yeah, what's that got to do with anything?"

"Can you tell what I am thinking, Daisuke? Or do I need to spell it out for you?" Sasuke asked before he went through more handsigns. "FIRE STYLE: FIREBALL JUTSU!" he shouted before breathing a massive fireball towards Daisuke who flashed through handsigns.

"WATER STYLE: LIQUID BULLET!" she shouted, shooting a large water projectile at the fireball and it snuffed the fire out, turning it into a cloud of steam. Daisuke was kneed in the torso and saw Sasuke smirking coldly at her. "He's gotten faster," she thought before Sasuke punched her in the face sending her flying into the side of the valley. She groaned in pain before jumping away just as Sasuke threw a kunai at her with an explosive tag attached to it. It exploded sending debris everywhere. Daisuke landed on the water and saw Sasuke running with another Chidori formed in his hand. "No, I won't be able to react in time!" she thought in a panic. Her Sharingan morphed into her Mangekyo Sharingan, but Sasuke was already plunging it towards her. She lifted a hand to stop the blow as her technique activated. "Watatsumi," she whispered, but it was partially too late. The jutsu had stabbed into her side, the attack deflected by her hastily raised guard.

"You managed to divert the blow with your left hand, and you somehow managed to reduce the power of the jutsu just enough so it wouldn't cause so much damage. But that doesn't matter anymore, you are done Daisuke. It's over," he said pulling his hand out of Daisuke's torso and blood dripped down her chest.

"No…it's….not….over…." she said slowly. To both of their shock, the injury partially healed itself until it was no longer bleeding, though still visible.

"Healing? But how?" Sasuke thought before Daisuke grabbed his collar and reared her fist back. She punched his face hard, sending him flying. Jumping into the air, she grabbed Sasuke's legs and spun him around before throwing him into the side of the valley, creating a small crater. She then landed in the crater and grabbed Sasuke.

"Sasuke, stop this right now. We don't need to keep fighting each other," she told him sadly with tears flowing from her eyes. "Come back to the village with me Sasuke, please," she begged him. A look of uncertainty crossed his face before his cursed seal pulsed again, and his face twisted into contempt.

"Just shut up already," he told her. "You don't know what it is like to have a mother, a father, or a brother in your life. You were on your own right from the beginning! What makes you think you know anything about it huh!? I am suffering now because I had those ties, how on Earth could you understand what it's like to go through losing all of that!?" he demanded tackling her, and both Uchiha rolled down the side of the cliff. Daisuke landed on a floating log that flipped up and Sasuke did the same on another log.

"Are you crazy? I do know what it's like. Before I came to the village I had a family! But it was taken away from me by bandits! I was the only one to survive! So don't you dare act like you are the only one who knows loss and suffering!" Daisuke shouted at Sasuke. "Maybe not bandits," she thought to herself, "but definitely by circumstance."

"Why?" he asked looking at her. "Why do you care so much about me!" he shouted back and Daisuke looked at him and she smiled.

"Because I care for you. You're my best friend apart from Naruto and Kiba, you're almost like a brother to me. That's why I care for you Sasuke," she replied. "We have a bond between us Sasuke, it's not broken so easily!"

"Is that so?" he asked her and she nodded. "Well, if that is the case….then I will just need to sever that bond," he told her, breaking the log he stood on. He grabbed a small piece and threw it at Daisuke's log splitting it, and Daisuke fell onto the water. "Only then will I truly become powerful enough to achieve my goal. I will gain your eyes, the Mangekyo Sharingan."

"Sever our bond? You think it will be an easy feat to accomplish?" Daisuke asked before running towards Sasuke whose Sharingan gained its third and final tomoe. He blocked all her attacks effortlessly, but the mahogany haired girl did the same. Neither one was able to gain an advantage. Soon Daisuke was standing on the shore while Sasuke remained on the water and he went through handsigns.

"FIRE STYLE: FIREBALL JUTSU!" Sasuke shouted, breathing a fireball towards Daisuke who went through handsigns. This time she performed a new jutsu.

"WOOD STYLE: WOODEN WALL!" she shouted, clapping her hands together. Wood shot out of the ground and formed into a wall, blocking the fire attack. Making more handsigns, Daisuke whispered her next jutsu and jumped over the burning wood. She dodged another fireball from Sasuke and tackled him into the water. As Sasuke got his bearings, he was punched and kicked from every direction. He swam for the surface but felt something grab his ankles and was thrown out of the water. When he looked down he saw dozens of Daisuke's in a chain like formation.

"Wha?"

"Water clones," Daisuke explained. "But damn this took a lot of chakra out of me," she thought before the chain spun around and slammed Sasuke into a boulder at the top of the cliff.

"FIRE STYLE: DRAGON FLAME JUTSU!" Sasuke roared breathing fire. It travelled down the line of Daisukes and destroyed them until only the original remained. Sasuke's expression turned to one of pure horror as he saw Daisuke covered in several burns and some of her hair was gone. "What have I done?"

"Sas…uk…e…," Daisuke said weakly somehow still alive. Sasuke's curse mark seemed to writhe angrily and his face shifted into determination.

"It's too late for me," Sasuke said as he grabbed Daisuke. "Daisuke!" he shouted jumping off the cliff, and he put his legs on Daisuke's arms and held her legs. Heading for the ground, he slammed her head into the solid rock before Daisuke vanished in a cloud of smoke only to be replaced by a paper bomb which went off, sending Sasuke flying back and he looked around. "Where are you!?" he shouted.

"Behind you!" Sasuke turned only to be met with a golden ethereal fist and he was sent flying. Skidding across the water, he looked to see Daisuke's Susanoo ribcage around her body. She roared and the Susanoo became more defined until it became what it was when Daisuke fought Hidan and Kakazu. Feeling the incredible drain of her chakra reserves, Daisuke grabbed her last soldier pill and swallowed it. Her chakra refilled until she could keep the Susanoo active for at least a couple of minutes. She rubbed her burning eyes again before focusing on Sasuke.

"This power….tell me what are you!" he shouted.

"I'm your friend!" Daisuke roared back making Sasuke's eyes widen. She raised her hand and swung it, making her Susanoo swing one of its four arms down on Sasuke, but he managed to barely dodge it.

"FIRE STYLE: FIREBALL JUTSU!" Sasuke and Daisuke shouted in unison, and each sent a fireball at the other. The fire clashed and cancelled each other out as the sky began to darken and thunderclouds gathered. Rain soon began to pour all over the battlefield as if the heavens themselves wept as the two Uchiha battled with Sasuke now on the defensive. He threw shuriken at the Susanoo but they simply bounced off one of its arms.

"Damnit. This Susanoo of hers is as strong as Gaara's sand," Sasuke thought. He saw Daisuke make a handsign and the ground beneath her feet shook before several branches shot out towards Sasuke. He ran off dodging left and right before jumping into the air and narrowly avoiding one branch which was about to skewer him. Another wrapped around his ankle and pulled him towards Daisuke who roared. Her top right Susanoo arm pulled back and when Sasuke neared it slammed into him, sending him flying into the side of the valley. Daisuke panted heavily before she saw Sasuke standing up and the curse mark was covering his body.

"How can he still be standing!?" she thought gritting her teeth as Sasuke began to laugh creepily, unnerving her.

"I don't know what will happen to my body if I let it take over, but you aren't leaving me a lot of options Daisuke," Sasuke told her making her growl before she saw the markings cover his entire body. His skin turned dark grey with a black four-point star-mark between his eyes and across the bridge of his nose. His sclera turned black and his Sharingan almost looked like it was glowing, along with his lips turning blue. He also grew claw-like nails and his hair grew until it was waist-length.

"Sasuke…..what did those four Sound shinobi do to you?" Daisuke asked herself.

"This power….I have never felt anything like it before. With this power, I can kill Itachi and avenge our clan. Isn't that what you wanted Daisuke?" Sasuke asked.

"No! Well….okay, yes I do want Itachi to be brought to justice for what he did. But this is not the way to go about it Sasuke," she answered and Sasuke smirked.

"It just goes to show that I care more about our clan then you do," he said and Daisuke growled.

She ran towards him with surprising speed and she punched him hard. Her Susanoo arm grabbed him, and she jumped into the air before slamming him down onto the foot of one of the two statues, kicking up dust everywhere. When it cleared Daisuke saw two large webbed hand-shaped wings on the back of Sasuke and one of them swatted Daisuke into the opposite statue.

He flapped his new wings and soared towards her, just a blur. Her Susanoo lashed out with another strike, but it was easily dodged by the airborne Uchiha. He ended up right behind her and flashed through a series of handsigns. "FIRE STYLE: FIREBALL JUTSU!" A wave of fire engulfed her protection and heated the air around her, making Daisuke pant.

"Need to get out of here," she grunted. Her Susanoo swung its Naginata towards the flames, dispersing them with the force of the attack. The weapon struck at Sasuke's wings, but he flew over the blade and dove at Daisuke, a singing in his hand. The lightning blade was met with Susanoo's top right arm, but the blade actually slowly cut through the ethereal construct until the arm was severed and disappeared in a burst of light.

The Susanoo rammed Sasuke's body with the naginata's haft, sending him back into the cliff. It then threw the weapon towards the downed Uchiha whose eyes widened as the haft crashed down. Fortunately for him, a quick substitution saved him from breaking every bone in his body. Daisuke fell to her knees panting as the Susanoo faded away. She was too low on chakra to maintain it.

Sasuke stumbled to his feet. Despite the corrupted chakra surging through him, his body was beginning to give out. He grimaced. "Let's end this Daisuke. This battle and all the battles we have had up until now!" he shouted going through handsigns. A Chidori formed in his hand and it turned black. The sounds of crows flapping their wings could be heard. "Chidori!" Sasuke shouted. Daisuke then held her hand out and her Susanoo arms hovered over it and a Rasengan formed.

"Rasengan!" Daisuke shouted. Both looked at each other and then jumped.

"Daisuke!" Sasuke roared.

"Sasuke!" Daisuke shouted back as both Susanoo powered Rasengan and Curse Mark powered Chidori clashed. There was a bright flash of light as the two attacks struggled for dominance, the amount of energy was so intense that a sphere surrounded the two Uchiha which turned solid before cracking and shattering in a violent explosion of light, throwing both Daisuke and Sasuke away from each other. Both faded into unconsciousness.
