Chapter 6-From Inside
Foxy was dragged into a small cell just below the second deck. Vixey was also thrown into the cell with him. Vixey quickly ran to Foxy's side. He was unconscious from the tremendous pain from the slashes.
"Now, will you shut up?" Fang said forcefully. Vixey ignored.
"Answer me you mangy vixen!" Fang ordered. He saw she ignored him again. He refused her insubordination. He reached in the cell and grabbed her angrily. He got up close to her face.
"Answer me." he demanded again. She stared long and hard.
"Leave me alone." she said forcefully. Fang got angrier.
"Have it your way." Fang said letting her go, then delivering a loud smack across the face. She winced.
"You should have heeded my warning. He'll be a ornament on my mast after his hanging." Fang then shut the cell door. Then walked out and back to the top deck.
Goldie, Freddy, Bonnie and Chica were slowly rowing their way back to Shipwreck Cove. They were quiet on the way back. Then Goldie broke the silence.
"How's your arm Freddy?" he asked. Freddy looked up at him.
"Not too good pal." he said holding a small cloth over it. It was redden by the wound.
"Maybe if we get back to Shipwreck Cove, we can find him. Maybe he has something we can put on it." said Chica.
"If we can get there in time." Goldie said. He looked back. Fang's ship was now just in the distance.
"And we'll come back." he said.
Vixey sat by Foxy waiting to see if he'd wake. She thought about all the things that could go wrong. She decided then not to think about it.
"What have we gotten into?" she whispered. Then, she felt Foxy's arm move. She looked over, his eyes were now open again. He began to wince at the pain again. She then tried to settle him.
"Don't move, it's okay. Just don't move, you'll cause more pain." she said. Foxy looked up at her.
"I-Is this his cell?" Foxy asked weakly. She nodded.
"Yes, we're two decks below his quarters." she said. Foxy just sighed.
"I'm so sorry I brought you into this." Foxy said sadly.
"It's alright. You didn't know this would happen." She said.
"You should have anticipated it."
They both were startled at the mysterious voice. It was very dark down where they were. Then, beside them in another cell, they could barely make out another object. It moved closer to them, into the little light that was down there. It was a light blue, fuzzy bunny.
"Hello." he said. Vixey was just mesmerized at the sight. She didn't think that anything was down here.
"Who are you?" she asked him. He sat down close to his cell door.
"My name's Clyde. I've been in this cell for a month." Clyde said.
"All my friends were captured with me. They are all dead now. Fang hanged them. I'm the only one left." Clyde continued. In Vixey's mind, she imagined why Fang hasn't hanged him yet.
"Why hasn't he hanged you yet? That what he does to all his prisoners right?" She asked. She knew Fang would do the same to her most likely.
"I don't know. They were all hanged the same day, a month ago." he said looking down. He ears hung low.
"I'm sorry about your friends." she said feeling sympathy for him. Then, he picked up something off the floor. It was a black hat with a thin red ribbon around the rim.
"Whats that?" She asked. Clyde closed his eyes.
"It was my friends hat. It's all I have to remember him." he said.
"What was his name?" she asked. Then she felt like that would hurt his feelings asking about his dead friend's name.
"Fred." he said. He then looked up at her.
"Do you know what ship your on?" he asked her. She shook her head.
"It's-" he was cut off.
"The Dutchman." Foxy interrupted. Clyde looked at him now.
"You know of this vessel?" Clyde asked kindly.
"Yes. Fang captured this ship and killed the original captain. At least thats what I heard." Foxy said.
"Most likely he did." Clyde said.
"Maybe. Probably yes." Foxy said.
"Whats your names?" Clyde asked.
"Foxy" Foxy said.
"And this here is me wife, Vixey." Foxy continued.
"Nice names." Clyde said looking at the hat again.
"I have a crew that wasn't captured. I don't think. If they weren't, they are probably headin' towards Shipwreck Cove now." Foxy said.
"Shipwreck Cove...I haven't seen that place in years." Clyde said. Foxy then asked a question that surprised Vixey.
"What ship did you sail? I think I've seen you before." Foxy said.
"I won't tell yet. Not til' I'm free again." Clyde answered. Foxy accepted that reply. Then he spoke again, but said something that shocked them all.
"Fang didn't used to be like this." he said.
"What? But I thought that..." Vixey said.
