Wow, I've been gone for a while. But I just graduated! So I'm sure I'll have more time to add to this story. Here's a Slade-centered chapter because I haven't done one in a while. I really hope you like this; I'm trying to get back into the groove of writing. R/R.~ Love, Sam.

Rendezvous
"She leans me out at her mistress' chamber window, bids me a thousand times goodnight."
It had taken much more planning than he had previously anticipated, but in the end, it was worth it.
Slade sat comfortably in the abandoned warehouse by the docks, one leg crossed neatly over the other. He had decided to occupy the third story up, which undoubtedly gave the best view of the final piece of his plan sliding right into place.
Starfire was at the mall, the radio signal of her communicator jammed by some device Gizmo racked up in the past week. The Teen Titans had been alerted of a robbery near the docks. And three stories below him, Jinx, who looked like a certain redheaded alien thanks to a bit of magic, and the ever elusive Red-X, were about to be caught in a passionate lip lock.
Glancing down at his watch, Slade murmured softly to himself, "Three… two… one… and…" Just like clockwork, the Titans came into view. Beast Boy and Raven first in the air, and just a few seconds behind them, Boy Wonder and Cyborg in the T-Car. Slade watched them regroup, blissfully unaware of the turmoil they were about to be thrown headfirst into. "Action."
The moment the word left his lips, everything fell into place.
"Star?!"
There, the furious and shocked cry of Robin.
"Boyfriend Robin!"
Jinx's guilty tone in Starfire's high-pitched voice.
"Red-X? Are you for real right now?"
Cyborg's simultaneously perfectly and horribly timed interjection, followed very shortly after by Robin's disbelieving glare.
"Hey Rob, maybe we should just head back to the tower…"
For once, wise words from the changeling.
"Fine. Let's go."
There was the sound of Robin's heart shattering inside his chest.
And nothing more.
