Danny inhaled, taking a deep breath and also taking in Ember's scent, then let it out slowly. One minute, he was on his phone with his sister and the next he was fighting the urge to rip that guy apart. His mind telling him to rip out his voice box and use it as a whistle. It telling him to rip those hands off and play the drums on his head as he screamed of pain and terror. The only thing that kept him from going after that guy and doing what his mind wanted him to do, was the fact that he had Ember safe in his arms.

"You okay, Em?" He asked.

"I'm okay now."

He didn't want to let her go but he did. He wanted to say that she felt so right in his arms. Cheesy as it is, it was true. The thing was...was he ready? Can he have another relationship after being betrayed once. He swiped his hand down his face in frustration. Why did life love giving him a hard time?

He watched her dance care free by herself. The way she smiled brightly while she twirled. Her neon eyes shined. Her hair held a slight lick of flames at the ends, like it was dancing with her. Her curvaceous body moved with grace. She looked absolutely beautiful. He leaned back and took a sip of his beer as she ran up to him and grabbed his hand, her smile never leaving her face.

"C'mon Danny! One more dance before we go?" She asked, bouncing slightly.

He smiled, finishing the rest of his beer. "Yeah, why not?"

She pulled him out of he seat and he grinned at her eagerness.

A portal opened in front of Ember's home. Danny stepping out with a sleeping Ember in his arms. He was carrying her bridal style. As he walked to the door, it opened abruptly and he stepped back as Kitty bounced like a spring in the threshold.

"Awww!" She cooed. "Look at you two, you'd make such wonderful babies in the future." She giggled. An arm came up from behind Kitty and pulled her back, Johnny's face appearing.

"Had fun, man?"

Danny grinned. "Yeah, it was awesome." He lifted his arms slightly, making sure not to jostle the tiny female in his arms.

"Where's her bedroom?"

"Why gonna do something in there soon?" Johnny wiggled his eyebrows. Danny shook his head, but a dangerous smirk formed on his face.

"Only if Ember wants to." He kept his words there. Johnny laughed and motioned him inside.

"Her room is down that hall second door to the right." Johnny pointed out as Kitty grinned at them, her words muffled Johnny's hand. Danny shook his head and walked to where Ember's room was, lightly kicking the door opened. She mumbled in his arms and he looked at her calm face. Her room was something that didnt suprise him. Full of band posters, music and sheets littered her desk and her guitar sitting by her bed. He went to her bed and laid her down gently. Her hands were fisted in his jacket stopped him from moving away.

"C'mon Em, time to let go." He whispered gently. She muttered softly, her grip getting tighter instead of loosing up. Chuckling, he turned intangible and let his leather jacket fall on her. She brought it closer to herself. He took off her shoes and pulled the blanket over her, keeping his eyes on her face.

"Danny?" He turned to look at Kitty. She was beside him, hand on his shoulder.

"I got it from here, you just home and get some sleep. After all there is school in 7 hours."

He nodded before bringing her in a one arms hug. "See you tomorrow, Kit." He pulled away, his eyes straying back to Ember before he walked away and out the bedroom. Kitty smiled down at her friend, sitting at the edge of her bed.

"You don't know how much he likes you, Em." She pushed her blue hair out of her sleeping face. "And he doesn't know it himself."

Danny landed in front of Fenton Works. His thoughts revolving around the little bluenette. He walked in the door and a small alarm went off. His red eyes spotted guns aimed at him and he shot every single one down effortlessly. A click resounded next to him and he was staring emotionless at the small form of his mother.

"Stand right and don't you move, you ectoplasmic monstrosity!" She shouted.

He tilted his head, red eyes regarding her with disappointment. Feet ran down stairs and his long hair sister came in view.

"Danny!" She exclaimed with giddiness. She ran up to him and into his arms. "How was your date with Ember?" She elbowed him gently with a knowing smirk. Rings appeared and he was back to his human self.

"It was great." He answered. "Now what are you doing out of bed, young lady?" He laughed when she grabbed his ear.

"I am the older sibling here, Daniel Fenton!"

"Yeah, but you're shorter than me so that should make me the older one as I stated so many times." She smacked his chest lightly.

"Danny?" They both turned to their mother who looked between them with a solemn face. He nodded at her, tight-lipped.

"Hello, mother." Turning back to his sister, he dropped a kiss on her cheek as she looked at him with slight tears in her eyes. "Night Jazz." He mumbled before moving past them, jumping up and disappearing through the ceiling.

Jazz looked at the ceiling before her mother's voice called to her. She stared into her mom's eyes as surprise, hurt, and confusion swam through her dilated pupils. Jazmine turned away and looked to the side, holding her arm as she tried to come up with right words to explain it to her.

After a few moments she shook her head and sighed. "Danny's changed mom," She looked at her with sad eyes. "and he's changed for almost two years now."

"Bu-"

She interrupted her. "I'm tired. I think I'll go to bed now." Jazz rushed up the stairs, running her bedroom trying to keep her tears at bay.

Danny trekked down the stairs, towel drying his hair as he went to the kitchen. He paused when he saw his mother and father sitting the table. They both stared at him in shock. His father Jack, was wiping his ectogun until he looked at him. Pausing, his jaw basically dropped at seeing him. His mother was jaw dropped too. Danny raised his eyebrow and let the towel hang around his neck. He knew he was ripped. And he kept in shape. But what little knew was that he two large tattoos on his body. One that covered his right forearm and another one on his left side and above it the words "Alpha" above it in Kanji. He was planning to get one on his shoulder blade but he did not know what to get. He looked at his sister as she made her usual coffee. Her shoulders were slumped. He nodded to his parents halfheartedly as he kept his eyes on his sister. He took hold of her shoulders, frowning the way she jumped in surprise. She was usually so alert and knew when he or someone else was coming but she was so out of it.

He gently turned her around, frowning more when her slightly red eyes faced him. She had dried tears on her cheeks and her face was flushed. He pushed her hair back and lifted her chin so they could have eye contact.

"What's wrong Jazz?" He whispered.

Her eyes dropped. "I-it's just that our parents had finally taken notice of you and doesn't even recognize their own son and -"

"Jazz, I'm okay." When she opened her mouth to protest, he shushed her with his index finger. "Now don't argue with me. Go upstairs and freshen up. I'll get your coffee and small breakfast ready, okay." He gently guided her out of the kitchen. "Go on."

He ran his hand through his damp hair then down his face.

"Son?"

Heaving a sigh, he turned to look at his parents. His father had gotten up from his seat but had not moved any closer.

"Yes father?" He asked monotonously.

"H-how? When? Y-you've changed, Danny."

Keeping from rolling his eyes, he nodded. "Yes. A lot can happen when time flies." His deep voice went down an octave.

"So we have a lot to talk about." His mother spoke up.

He gave her no sign that he heard her but he answered anyway. "No, we do not."

"Daniel Fenton!"

He shook his head and went to the cabinets getting out the cream and sugar. He got busy working on his sister's coffee before going to the fridge. He took out some blue cheese and went to the basket over the fridge and took a bagel. His parents were trying to get his attention as he spread the cheese on the cut bagel.

"Danny please!"

He turned his head to look at his mother who grabbed his arm. Tears streaming down her cheeks.

"What happened to my little boy?" She asked softly. He put down the butter knife and gently pried her hands off of him.

"He grew up."

"Dan?" He heard Jazz's voice by the kitchen. He looked from his distraught mother to his older sister, hair still dripping.

"Jazz c'mere and let me dry your hair. You'll catch a cold doing that."

She rolled her eyes. "Danny it's Spring."

"Don't give a damn. Come here."

She mumbled under her breath and went to him while he smiled victoriously. He let her eat her breakfast while he used the towel around his shoulders to dry her hair.

"Ew Danny, that's your towel!" She went to jolt forward but he kept her still in time.

"Don't worry, I only use this towel to dry my hair, calm down sheesh." He laughed. He towel dried it as much as he could before braiding it. His fingers worked quickly but steadily so he didn't tangle them in her orange-reddish hair. "There." He finalized.

"Thanks Danny."

He patted her shoulder. "I'm gonna go get my shirt then we can go to school." He sped walked out of the kitchen, his boots the only sound that resonated through the silent house.

Jazmine did not like the tense silence but she couldn't help it. She was ashamed. And she had no words to say at all. That her parents looked more into ghost hunting than trying to also balance a normal life. She bet they did not know how old they were now.

"Ready Jazz?"

Danny used both hands to prop himself on the threshold in the kitchen. His body lent forward as he peered in to look at her. She raised her eyebrow at the crimson red shirt he wore because he was missing one thing.

"Where's your jacket?" She asked cocking her head to the side. He rarely went without his jacket. She watched a grin spread on his face before he coughed and looked away.

"Uh, someone's borrowing it?"

She raised an eyebrow. Then an evil smile spread across her face as a mischievous glint ran in her eyes. "Oh..." She drawled out. "So Ember has it." She wiggled her eyebrows. she finished the rest of her coffee and placed the cup in the sink. "Well time for school, I want to see your future wife again."

Danny shook his head. "That's if I gain the mentality to even start dating again."

Jazmine walked pass him. "So you're not denying it, I see."

"Oh my god."

Jack and Maddy watched their very grown son walk out the door. He was so huge! Not big like Jack but was more muscular. More solid. His hair, his eyes, his voice, his style. A changed being. He had this protective aura around his sister and they were much closer than ever. But one question ran through both of their minds.

"What happened with Sam?"
