Chapter 18

Interviewing Shaw

"Hello everyone! Please welcome Shaw the deer!"

Shaw waved at everyone with a big smile. DonTheHero watched everyone clapping for Shaw, with a slight twitch in his eyes, and his hands holding onto one another behind his back.

"I'm afraid I have to stand out on this one Cookie," he tells me. He turned his head to Shaw. "For your safety Shaw."

This surprised Shaw a little, and look around questioningly, but I nod at him. "And I'm sure Shaw wouldn't like to answer your questions either."

"Why what would the questions be?" He asked innocently. I raise an eyes brow at DonTheHero. He swallowed.

"'Picture yourself with mushrooms, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, and a tasty sauce, what do you think?' or 'What would you think if I gave you a place of 'honor' over a fire place?' Not good."

He hands me a tranquilizer quickly without looking at the fear in Shaw's eyes.

"So if you hear screaming from Shaw beack stage, or even here; is a tranquilizer for me."

I took it and placed it beside me with extreme pre-caution, not wanting to let it off in false alarm.

"It's only a quick interview so you won't need to stay away for long."

"Good," said both Shaw and DonTheHero. I waved Don off stage, and the crowd cheered him on for fighting off the urge to attack Shaw as a hunter.

"I'm glad it's only a quick interview..." said Shaw. "Not trying to be mean, but I can't talk much in front of people... I can get really nervous."

"It's okay we only have a few for you anyways, we have SirCreepington9th asking you about the happening with the geyser. He asks; How have you been healing after the whole geyser incident?"

Shaw stands and holds up a fluffy tail. "Seems pretty good. But I won't be going near any geysers for the rest of my life!"

"Best to play safely and not get hurt huh?"

"Yep, but everyone understands so I don't get a hard time."

"Mainly because the were all there at the time your accident happened." I say. "Moving on question 2. Who is your best friend out of the herd?"

Shaw grinned happily. "I don't think it's hard to tell!" He laughed. "I love them all! I owe my life to Jade! She did save me after all."

"Too true my friend." I look at the next questions. "The last three questions are from a guest, and they ask; 1: How are you and Jade getting along?"

"We are getting along just fine! Like two peas in a pod!"

"Or like bread and butter!" I claim with a smile. "Once bread and butter join, you can never separate them again! No matter how hard you try!"

"That's the best way to describe Jade and me! We go almost everywhere together." Shaw smiled shyly, blushing a little as everyone gave him wolf whistles and 'aw's'.

"Do you like Jade in that way?" I ask softly.

"No! I like Jade as my friend, and that's it." He said firmly. "I wouldn't be her type... and nor is she my type."

"Well at least your open about it, and not one to hide it." I praise. "Alright then, question 2: Are The Brat Pack still annoying and bitchy?"

"Hell yeah! Especially the 'bitchy' part!" Shaw then gasped and covered his mouth. "Will they see this?"

"If you weren't out before them, then yes. You dodged the bullet... finally, question 3: How did you react when Ethan and Peaches announced they were going to have a baby?"

"I was surprised! But happy for them, I can't wait for the baby to arrive!"

"Neither can I! Shaw the deer everyone!"

Everyone cheered as Shaw was led safely by bodyguards out of the room."

"You can come back in now Don!" I call. He crept in, looking around in case Shaw was still there. Everyone clapped.

"Well! That was the longest five minutes of my life!" He declared.

Chuckling, I look at the audience. "Soto's gang are up next! Stay tuned to send in questions to Oscar, Zeke, and Lenny folks!"

Well... that seemed... short? Yes? No? A little?
