The bell rang for the end of class. I was now determined, I had to see Touma. I didn't want to say on his silent side, after all the time he's spent with me. I had to set things straight with him, as I have been treating him like trash lately. I think he's had enough.

I grabbed my things and headed out to the front of the school. On my way out I stopped by his classroom, but he was not there, the library was empty too. In trash, somewhat crumpled, was the not id left him. So no, he didn't have it on him, but yes he did read it.

I ran to the front of the school as fast as I could. The bus would be around any minute!

Piercing through the front doors after quickly throwing on my loafers, I quickly scanned the crowds of departing students. Where are you? Where? Where?!

I rounded the corner of the front gate to the bus stop. From around the next corner where the bus stop was, I saw Shuuko-chan coming around, her left hand in her skirt pocket and her right holding her blazer over her shoulder.

"Shu-chan!"

"Futaba-chan?"

"I-I told Kikuchi to wait around here after the bell, have you seen him?"

"I just talked with him he-"

As she started talking, the local bus pulled out from around the corner.

"-is on that bus," she finished.

Kikuchi...

"He waited for a while, but shrugged it off and left, I I tried to stop him..."

"Where does that us go?"

"The train station, but it takes a slightly longer route then walking there."

"I gotta run, see you later!"

"Wait, I'm coming too!"

I didn't even wait, just ran. If the bus went the way I think it may, then there is a possibility I'd beat it, if it hit all the red lights. But regardless if it didn't, and he beat me there, I still owed it to him to try and meet him there. I had to try.

The light for the crosswalk infront of me turned red. Recklessly, I darted across anyway almost getting hit by a cargo truck. However, I was not hit. Unscathed, I ran on as if nothing happened, because nothing had happened.

Down alleys, through crowds, and across bridges I ran, not once stopping or slowing down. I could keel over from exhaustion any moment, however, I didn't care. I had to talk to him.

I turned the corner. I could see the station from here. I was three blocks away. I saw the bus turning the corner of the block closest to the stairs to the platform. The doors opened and the bus filtered out the passengers transferring to rail transport. I ran even faster, a dead sprint. The bus took off from its stop and all it's departees had disappeared up the stairs. By the time I had reached stairs, I could here the train pulling into the station and coming to a stop by the platform. I quickly ran up the stairs.

The platform was full of scattering people. People getting on, people getting off, and people just standing there. I had to find Kikuchi! Shouldering my way past and through crowds, I frantically looked back and fourth, left and right. Then finally... Blue coat, gray pants, red tie, our school's uniform! I frantically ran in that direction.

"The doors are about to close, please stand clear of the doorway," the announcement played.

He was about to take one more step into the train, as the doors were closing. Frantically I reached out and grabbed the sleeve of his blazer. The doors shut in his face and the train began to take off. His hair was blown left and right as the train accelerated. He took a safe amount of small steps away from the train as it picked up speed. I held his sleeve tightly between my fingers, just to make sure he didn't disappear again.

The train was gone shortly.

"What? What is it?! I just missed my train!"

"Kikuchi..."

He turned around, slight frustration in his face. I didn't even take much notice and threw my arms around him, burying my face in his blazer.

"Yo-Yoshioka?"

"Kikuchi...don't get on...that train."

I gasped for air at the top of the stairs. Damn, Futaba could run if she put her mind to it! From here, I could see Yoshioka in Kikuchi's arms...or vice versa. I couldn't help but feel a little happy for her.

This was the start of something, I couldn't help but feel, I'm gonna have to see it all the way through...

"Murao?"

Sensei?

I turned about, seeing Tanaka-sensei.

"I didn't think I'd see you here, how nice!"

Of course...There were my own things to attend too as well.
