AN: Ok! So I decided to do one more chapter after this but it might be short. Anyway, enjoy chapter 9: change of heart.
"Any last words?" said Hiro as the blade surrounded by microbots lifted over his head.
The team looked at Hiro, waiting for their immediate end. The civilians that were behind the police line were also scared, wondering what would happen to the city after the villain was done destroying the school. Even Aunt Cass who was at the café, a few tears in her eyes, was hoping Hiro would make the right decision.
Hiro looked at the team before him and jerked his blade forward, until he was interrupted.
"Hiro, wait!"
Hiro looked at the girl who interrupted him and gave her a death glare. It was Gogo, she had figured she might as well try one more time to convince Hiro what he is doing is wrong.
"How dare you interrupt me!?" said Hiro in his robotic voice.
The others looked at Gogo, wondering what she was doing. Hiro was equally curious, but still angered. Gogo looked at Hiro with a worried look on her face and said in a soft voice
"Hiro, stop this. You know what you are doing is wrong, look at what you have become."
"What I have become?! What I have become, is all to help avenge my brother!"
Hiro lowered the blade to his side and with his left hand pointed accusing finger at Gogo
"You don't know Tadashi like I did, you don't know me either. None of you do!"
Gogo now had a serious tone now, but still had a worried look on her face.
"You're wrong Hiro, we do know you and Tadashi. Tadashi was a nice man who wanted to help people, not hurt them. He built Baymax for that purpose, you should be trying to help his memory live on, not ruin it by getting revenge."
Hiro loosened the grip on the team but was nowhere close to letting them go. Hiro retracted his blades and made the microbots on his arms go back into the pile, he then pulled off the hood of his helmet and let the antennas on the side of it extend. The team tensed up a little as they looked at the microbots bring Hiro closer to them, specifically Gogo.
Hiro pushed a button on his helmet that pulled the mask of his helmet over his head (kind of like iron man's does). Hiro leaned closer to Gogo giving her a death glare.
"What would you know about loss? Knowing that one of the very few family members you have left was murdered and your own invention stolen. Knowing that you could have done something to stop it but never did."
Gogo gave Hiro a stern look and a serious tone.
"You are right Hiro, I don't know about loss. But tell me something, do you think Tadashi would be proud of you now?"
Hiro's gaze softened as he turned around and saw that the school his brother went to and wanted him to go to, was gone. Hiro lowered his voice and said in sorrow
"You're right.W-What have I done?"
Hiro leaned his head downward and made the microbots surrounding the team put them down. Once the bots put them down the team saw Hiro get placed on the floor as well.
The team was waiting to see what Hiro would do before they acted. Under his helmet and mask, Hiro's eyes were beginning to form tears. Hiro flipped open the mask on his helmet and looked at the team in front of them, he then collapsed to his knees and began to cry into his hands, not caring who saw.
The college students looked at one another and then at Hiro. Under his hands Hiro began saying
"I'm a monster *sob* I've been blaming everyone else for T-Tadashi's death, *sob* and the one I should be blaming is myself *sob* I-I killed him."
Everyone looked at Hiro, they didn't want him to blame himself, and inside, they were all feeling the same sadness Hiro was feeling. Gogo took off her helmet and walked up to Hiro.
"Hiro."
Hiro looked up at her with the tears still in his eyes. It only lasted a moment, Hiro looked back down but didn't put his head in his hands.
"Tadashi would be ashamed of me. I should have been the one who died in the fire, not him."
Gogo went down on her knees too, she put her left hand on Hiro's shoulder and used her other hand to lift his chin and make him look her in the eye.
"Don't say that Hiro, you're a good person. You've just been through a lot."
Hiro looked back down at the floor
"That's no excuse for the things I did."
Hiro looked back up at Gogo with the same sad expression on his face.
"Hiro, it's never too late to make up for it."
Hiro made a slight smile and Gogo did the same.
AN: That's that folks. Sorry for the short chapter, I have been getting a lot of English homework lately. But I want you to vote in the reviews. Do you want Hiro and Gogo to kiss, hug, or both? Vote and the majority will be picked. See ya!
