Author's Note:
With college now back in session (It starts earlier here in Puerto Rico), it's likely that my schedule with these chapters might get slower as time progresses. Hopefully, I might release at least one chapter a month until December, at the very least. I didn't really get tons of good grades in the previous semester, so I'll study even harder than ever before. On the meantime, enjoy this chapter, as I finally caved with the reviews. Guess it makes sense, too.
Keena wakes up in a bed really early in the next morning after her and her friends lost a fight against Fujiko. As she slowly sits up, she strains herself a bit as she still has her injuries. She notices the rest of her friends still sleeping with the exception of Arnoul, who approaches her. "Thank goodness that you woke up. Don't worry, everyone's okay." she said.
Keena sighs in relief; however, she would give off a slightly frustrated look.
"So this is what being in a car crash is like…I feel rather wrecked." She said, with some anger on her voice
"We're gonna need to step up out game a bit. There's no telling what she could do next."
"Hm, like I'll ever back down…know what? Screw these injuries, I wanna call her out!"
She then tries to stand up, although still a bit strained. Arnoul then tries to stop her.
"No way, Keena! You may keep proving that you're the chosen one, but it's not worth making your injuries worse!"
"A hero never gives up! That's how we roll!"
"But we also needs to plan accordingly; otherwise, we're dead freaking meat!"
"Heroes are never ready, that's the point! We either do it or we don't!" Keena then groans a bit from the pain, "Besides, I'm…fine! What if she destroys the city?! Hell, cities around the world?!"
"She's nowhere to be found! Get a damn grip!"
Keena was about to respond back, but common sense starts to kick in and takes a deep breath to calm herself down. "I'm sorry, Arnoul…guess part of being a hero is also being carried away."
"No, I don't blame you…but maybe we should take advantages of these injuries to at least study these exams."
"True that—wait, are we at an actual hospital? I remember hearing sirens…"
"I used my emergency rebooting system so I can find a remote that takes us all to a specific part of the Constan Academy, so we're actually at the nurses's office, told Mitsuko as much info as possible, and we both helped you all here. She's a tad exhausted."
"I say that, because…maybe, for the best, we can't hide ourselves from the public forever."
"I had a feeling you were going to say that…"
It's revealed to be Lily who said that, waking up.
"It's gonna be a bit tricky to explain to halves of a metal Ursa Major just lying on a street…" she continued.
The rest of the group also slowly wake up, also straining.
"Yeah, we might as well no longer pretend to stay asleep." said Gavin, chuckling a bit, then groaning in pain a bit.
"H-hey, I was about to say that!" joked Kanna.
"At least we can all rightfully be pissed, Keena. Better than being depressed. That's what all TV shows and Anime do." said Michie.
Keena nods and finally smiles, "It's only one small misstep, guys. She got us, but next time, she'll definitely know who not to mess with!"
They all raise their fists to the air and cheer…only to grunt a bit in pain, with the exception of Arnoul.
"…After some rest, that is." said Keena, chuckling nervously.

Episode 19: "Under Cover"
Fujiko watches on the news through a ridiculously big plasma TV. They're reporting about the attack from the previous day.
"What we have here are the remains of what could be one of the strangest attacks ever seen in the United States as, it turns out, two halves of a big robot bear is seen near the Congress Square Plaza. While there has been damages through a couple of buildings around there, thankfully, no one got killed, but there has been several injuries, from as few as 50 to maybe even more than 100." said a reporter on the scene.
Fujiko laughs at the sight of this, "Damn, just damn! See what happens if you doubted me for so long, brother? I am back, baby!"
Her brother subtly chuckles, "I would congratulate you, but I just noticed how you made a really big TV also from this forbidden magic."
"Having huge Samsung TVs gives you tons of villain cred. They…swaggy, like the word, "swag". Besides, they're supposed to be ridiculously big!"
"Well, the resolution really is good, though."
"Good. I wonder if this will be a worldwide deal. Or at best, a Twitter trend."
"Wait, shouldn't you try to attack them again?"
"I would, but I'd rather take things a bit more strategically. Besides, the cops could spot me."
"Hm…that's actually true."
"We'll see how it goes, but on the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy my sweet, sweet victory. Keena and her crew is gonna take quite a while to recover from this." she said as she chuckles evilly a bit.
Later on the day, Keena and Gavin join alongside Lily, Michie, Kanna and Arnoul on the cafeteria.
"It's amazing how even with all this happening…we still got an exam going to do for early next week." said Lily.
"Well, because we decided to take it without a problem. It's lucky enough that our backs aren't broken and the skin tissue isn't damaging." said Michie.
"Cause of the icky, gooey, sicky medicine we've been drinking today…bleeeh…." said Kanna."
"Oh, you just had to remind me of the medicine." said Michie.
"It's Mitsuko's orders, you two. You gotta brass it up, girls!" said Keena.
"Yeah! Wait, as in brass balls?" said Gavin.
"Well, more like brass…ovaries? Might need to work on more optimistic sentences…" Keena then clears her throat, "Pardon for that…"
"Oh, none taken, right, Kanna?" said Michie.
"Yeah…it was still icky, though…" Kanna said, whispering the last words.
"Wait, isn't Fujiko still a student here? She had the Academy outfit on." said Gavin.
"She's…popular here." said Lily.
"So I'm guessing they won't even care how she mysteriously disappeared, but then randomly back…" said Keena.
"Good publicity never hurts anyone." said Michie.
"Whoa, whoa, good publicity?" said Kanna.
"Didn't you know? She always helps out the students around here. In fact, I believe that could explain why at this point last year, she seemed to have many students following her." said Lily.
"Well, she could have at least flaunted it, showing off her swag, at least." said Gavin.
"She's careful to leave no traces detected. When I caught her talking to Peterhausen, it was by absolute coincidence." said Lily.
"And the two times I snuck upon her, well "evil" room was when was unaware of her true ambitions…not to mention likely that she didn't take me seriously. I thought she was secretly gothic." said Keena.
"Oh, she would fit the college fund bill on that, alright." said Michie.
"Thing is, I could try to detect her room through a hologram of the academy, so I can pinpoint the room and see what's contained in it." said Arnoul.
"Good call, Arnie~!" said Kanna as she raises her hand, hoping to be high-fived.
A small pause occurs as everyone except Arnoul laughs a bit. Interestingly, she's secretly hiding a blush, then pretends to sneeze.
"Bless you, Arnie!" said the whole group as Arnoul facefaults.
Arnoul then takes a deep breath, "Okay, time to seek her out." She said as she finds in her fanny pack a handheld, portable-like device. She then pushes a button to have the hologram appear for a couple of seconds, but then it suddenly disappears. The group reacts a bit confused at this.
"That's never happened before…" said Arnoul.
"Have you checked if there's any Internet signal?" said Keena.
"There is, unless…"
Back at Fujiko's room, she's watching through the Crystal Ball.
"Oh, ho, ho, no. You're not gonna try to spy me out that easily, and even if you do enter, my security, filled with magic breaking laser beams, magic breaking mines and magic breaking saws could trample you with a drop of a mic." said Fujiko.
Small pause.
"Do I even have a mic?"
Her brother responds by rolling his eyes.
Now back with the group, they all sigh.
"Great, now it feels like Big Sister is watching all of us." said Gavin.
"Ugh…don't refer her like that…I once did, and now it feels like those two words are back with a vengeance!" said Keena.
"Cute vengeance?" said Gavin.
Keena remains with a serious face.
"Got it, girlfriend, serious time." said Gavin, mimicking her serious face, although that causes Keena to laugh a bit.
"But still…how do we keep from being stalked by the purple menace?" said Michie.
"Okay, everyone, we better also lay low and be cool. Fujiko could likely be tracking our every move, but…maybe if we just keep studying, she'll lose interest in us for a while." said Keena.
"So…we actually have to study for not only our test, but for our lives?" said Kanna.
The rest of the groups nod their heads.
"It's like she's tutoring us!"
"When you put it like that…" said Arnoul.
"Remind me to thank her when we meet again." said Keena.
Meanwhile, Fujiko watches this with amazing distraught, along with a facepalm.
"Criminy…that really just happened." said Fujiko
"Didn't see that coming.,," said her brother.
"No matter; I'll just summon a monster that can break their current concentration!"
"Wait, shouldn't you study, too? From my calculations, you haven't really taken a test by you pretending to be sick in all of them, and while they'll take only 1 test in a few days, you'll take…5. You better live up to your reputation, sis."
Fujiko flinches in anger, "Fffffffuuuuu-ine!"
Fujiko then mumbles as she tries to find her books to try to study with. "It's not like it'll arrive here quickly…"
Three days then pass by, and the main group have already taken the test. They then leave the classroom, alongside other students, leaving also oddly dramatically.
"My pencil needs to take a vacation…and my brain." said Keena.
"It's like my brain is mush…" said Gavin.
Michie is seen carrying Lily, with the blonde pretending to be unconscious.
"Why must the good die young?!" said Michie, also pretending from the overdramaticness, complete with fake crying. Oddly, no one seems to pay attention to them.
"OK, I may be the class clown, but…even I admit you're selling it too much." said Kanna.
"Yeah, it wasn't even that hard anyways." said Arnoul.
"Eh?" said the remains of the group, Lily then waking up, jumping off Michie arms to stand up.
"Arnoul teached me for quite a while and made an agreement on me making sure that I don't suddenly goof off! That includes me being blindfolded, being camel clutched and tons of metal music listening."
"No. Freaking. Way." said Michie.
"Many, many, many ways. In fact, if I even looked away from a second, I'd get a spanking!"
The rest of the group try hard to not giggle, but fail, which Kanna joins alongside to join the laughter. Arnoul is seen blushing and looking away for a bit.
"So…what about you guys?" said Kanna
"Well, we did study, but then Pinky here just had to start something." said Lily as she makes a Michie-like grin.
"Hey, I'm the one who's supposed to say that!" said Michie.
[Flashback from the previous night:]
Michie and Lily are studying for the exam as they both nod, somewhat able to agree in silence.
"I think I'm getting the hang of it." said Lily.
"Ah, good, cause I've thought of saying that yesterday." said Michie, chuckling.
Lily would then get a rather funny pouty look on her face, "Oh, no, no, no! Not again! Throughout middle school, you always pulled that!"
"I figured I'd do a lovey-dovey version of that, babe."
"You're just staring at my thighs, aren't you?"
"Why are you wearing thighighs if it's not even that cold?"
"Totally to not make you notice…"
"I admit, the more I kept looking at them, I think I learn a thing in thighology."
"That's it~!"
Lily strips down to her bra and underwear and makes a sexy pose, wiggling her butt, then saying, "You may not have a major butt fetish, but—"
Michie quickly interrupts, grinning "On the contratry, I don't mind even biting it."
A small pause occurs as Lily shivers.
"Too dirty?"
"No, that was an erotic shiver." said Lily
Michie also disrobes to her bra and underwear as she glomps her, landing on top of her.
"Let me show you my lips—fangs…lip fangs…"
Lily laughs a bit, then saying "Lip-fangs, got it~."
They then proceed to make out.
[Flashback ends]
"Hey, you all could sympathize it with me, right?" said Michie.
The rest of the groups hush her down a bit.
"Hey, I whispered, right?"
"What about you and Gavin, Keena?" said Lily.
"Don't worry, we studied, it's just, well…" said Keena.
[Once again, another flashback:]
Keena and Gavin play a fighting game on a 360 console.
"Another win, Gavin-gins!"
"Aw, no fairsies, it's cause you always pick Sektor~!"
"Simple; you get scarecrow'd! Never has a scarecrow related…thingy could result in being so tenderizingly insanely cool~!"
"Wait…why were we playing again?"
"We took a litter of energy drinks each to help our studies, but we now know enough already, so…a tad awkward-y, huh?"
"It's not midnight already, isn't it?"
Keena then checks her watch, having a slight freaked out expression as Gavin doesn't notice it.
"Well, Keena-kins, what is it~?"
"Well, it's not midnight anymore…"
"And?"
"It's 1:04 AM."
Gavin then also gets freaked out, yelling out an "Eep!"
They both then take a deep breath.
"I got it! How about you knock me out with a sleeping spell?"
"I…haven't entirely mastered those…and also, we could oversleep from that."
"Crap…"
"Aha~! We'll play word association, and we think of boring things to say."
"Good idea~!"
"I'll start~. Wall."
"White."
"Color."
"Citizen Kane."
"Moon."
"Apollo 18."
"Unscary."
"Horror remakes."
"Unnecessary."
A small pause occurs.
Keena then breaks the small silence by saying, chuckling nervously, "This could take a while."
Gavin then thinks, still thinking that they're playing word association, then saying "Development hell?"
[Flashback ends]
"We decided to cut our silliness and slept. Time to update our sleep schedules." said Keena as she writes on a small note book, causing the rest of the group to chuckle a bit.
"I know I might sound a tad desperate for saying this, but I kinda feel like I want be in action, kicking a little butt, you know?" said Kanna.
"I would share that statement, but that always indicates quite a bad omen." said Lily.
"And maybe months' worth of bad luck." joked Michie.
"Does hearing a boy band song through some headphones count as bad luck?" said Kanna.
"Boy band? Oh yeah…they're named That Way. I swear, every song they make seems to pander to Bella Swan wannabes everywhere." said Michie.
"And I think I heard that they're about to arrive for a tour stop…guh…" groaned Gavin.
"No prob, though, we'll just ignore them like non-cachy music that won't get stuck in your head." said Keena.
The whole group nods as they then move on to the next class.
Meanwhile, Fujiko is still taking one of the test, however, she still cracks a smile, "Might as well switch to the rubber man plan against them! Not just any ordinary rubber men, too…" she thought.
A few hours later, Keena and Gavin jump on to the bed to relax after ending their class day, both sighing in relief.
"Guess we can finally focus again on what Fujiko's next move could be, huh?" said Keena.
"As long as we don't get lazy, that is." said Gavin as he then pretends to strain in trying to get up. "Nope, too comfy." They both then chuckle.
"Still, with all the madness that happened yesterday, I wonder…should we really keep this hidden from possible tabloids and news centers?"
"Well, this Academy's been secret for a number of years, so I kinda doubt that now is the time to get suspected by."
"Yeah, but the paparazzi deal was when someone tried to exploit the Academy's mysteriousness. Believe it or not, what if Fujiko's next plan is just that?"
Gavin responds with a laugh.
"Um…I didn't say anything weird subconsciously or something like that, right?"
"No, you're just sounding like you're really knowledgeable all of a sudden."
Keena blinks, but then notices it, "Wow, maybe I'm overstating this…then again, scientia potential est."
Gavin then blinks, "Hm?"
"Oh, that means knowledge is power. I remember Mom telling me that once. When I tried to find what the phrase meant, I was like "Whoa, I didn't see that coming!", or some sort."
"I think I'm learning more from you than any of the teachers today."
"Mr. Miranda, I think you're trying to seduce me."
"Hey, I'm not old~!" said Gavin as he sticks his tongue out in a joking matter.
"I think we got a pillow fight booked right now~!"
They both then prepare their pillows to hit each other with until Keena then notices something pass through outside the window. All she could see was something a bit blue.
"What the…" Keena thought before being hit softly by a pillow.
"Round 1 belongs to me~!" said Gavin.
"Eh? Huh?"
Gavin laughs a bit, "Had the jitters? You looked a bit lost."
"Actually, something distracted me…could've swown it was…"
The school alarm rings out.
"Let's put it in rain check, Gavin-gins, trouble is afoot!"
"We'll save the greatest pillow fight in the history of the sport tonight!"
They then quickly run out, eventually joining the rest of the group, going outside.
"Where's the threat?" said Keena.
"Behind the Academy." said Lily.
"Hm, maybe we should put mines there again." said Gavin.
"I believe we only promised we'd do that once." said Michie.
They then begin jumping up to the roof, so that they're able to go to the opposite direction where the trouble could be.
Arnoul is seen with some sort of mana detector, to distinguish who or what kind of opponents they may face, "No doubt, this has Fujiko's name all over it." she said.
"Well, then maybe she manufactured them." said Kanna, laughing a bit.
They then reach the end of the rooftop,
"I think I see some grey stuff over there!" said Michie.
"Ooh, is it Martians? I hope it's Martians." said Kanna.
They then jump down to notice the rubber men. There are 12 of them.
"Ugh…not these kind of guys…" said Michie.
"You sound kinda annoyed, but these guys look pretty harmless." said Lily.
"Hurting these guys isn't going be easy though, since it seems like they're made of rubber." said Arnoul.
"Well, not just that…" said Michie.
"Let me give it a try!" said Keena, cracking her knuckles, with a face full of confidence, as she begins to whirl her arm over and over, then punching one of the rubber men straight in the face, punching him so hard in the face, that the face would look sucked in.
"That's my girl~!" said Gavin.
The rubber man's face then returns back to normal and is heard moaning and seen blushing, Keena is aghast as what she's witnessing.
"Um…dunno if I should ask, but these rubber men are…special, aren't they?"
"They actually enjoy pain, also, don't your guard down!" said Michie.
The rubber man then attempts to punch Keena, but she's able to avoid it by bending over backwards into a bridging position, then trying a high kick. Once again, the rubberman enjoys it. The rest of the rubber men then proceed to run over to their opponents, tag-teaming the group with 6 groups of 2 each to face them.
"Michie, know a way to defeat them?" said Keena as she continues to dodge two of the rubber men punches and kicks.
"I know a spell, but someone's gotta have to cover for me!"
"I'll do that job!" said Lily as she uses her large fists to punch two rubber men, who again, quickly recover out of pleasure.
Gavin then yells out as he then tries a jumping DDT on the rubbermen, again not working, as he repeatedly elbows them right in the face, "Stop! Showing! Me! Those! Freaky! Faces!"
Kanna tries to claw on the rubber men faces, but they also enjoy even that. "Well, might as well try this!"
She then aims to claw right at their crotch, however, their reaction is quite different as they then turn into a reddish color.
"I…I think I got them!"
Michie then notices them, while still preparing up the spell "Tell me you didn't…"
"Well, I scratched those things' crotches, that's what."
"Yeah, you made them pissed."
"Wait, these guys can get—OH CRAP!"
Two of the rubber men then charge up a large beam from their mouths.
"Anytime now, Michie!" said Arnoul.
"Actually, now!" said Michie as she then fires off smoke from her hands, similar to a fire extinguisher, which is able to freeze all of them except 4 of the rubber men.
"How'd you do that?" said Lily.
"Oh, I thank Fujiko for that."
Fujiko, back at her room watching through the crystal ball, sees this with outrage. "Freaking vampire girl! Maybe I should have killed her when I hung around with her during the war! Damn it all!" she said, slamming her first on her table.
"For once, I might actually not blame you for that." says her brother.
Fujiko takes a deep breath, but then smiles evilly, "Well, no matter. After all, I think a certain alumni, if you wanna call it, just decided to return to likely scout the place."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, if we're lucky, we might get a front row seat for this."
"Erm…could someone remind Keena and Gavin about this?" said Kanna.
Keena and Gavin are seen still punching and elbowing their rubber man opponents.
"Don't worry, we're trying something! Maybe, if we can just overload the punches on these guys…!"
"What the—no, that's a dumb plan!" said Michie.
"Wait, what?" said Gavin.
"If you fill them with too much masochistic pleasure, they'll blow up!"
They both then stop attacking at the same time and notice the rubber men bulking up.
"LET'S FLY UP!" Keena shouted as they all fly up to the roof while the rubber men then explode. The smoke is then able to clear out quite quickly
"Okay, how did you all think that through?!" said Michie.
"Well, simple, um…too much of a good thing can be bad for the health?" said Keena sheepishly.
"I think that's how the saying goes." also said Gavin sheepishly.
Suddenly, they all feel a rather strong mana presence arriving the Academy.
"Whoa, whoa guys, did you feel that?" said Kanna.
"Y-yeah…" said Michie.
"Are we under attack again?!" said Gavin.
Keena is seen nodding, "No doubt…"
"I think I know it, too and not just one…more as well." said Lily.
Meanwhile, Fujiko also notices at what's going on outside the Academy, gasping at the presence. "N-no way…I think I need to be there this instant!
Meanwhile, spying from far away from the Academy on top of a tree is Eiko, with advanced binoculars on her hand as she chuckles lightly and jumps from tree to tree to go there.
Keena and friends then arrive at the opposite end of the roof as the they stare down to what's happening below, with Keena giving a focused and serious look on her face, somehow not even shocked at what's happening.
"We got company. And no ordinary ones, either." she said.
The result of the commotion is Akuto Sai and Junko Hattori arriving at the Academy grounds.
Akuto gives a smirk look, "Let's see the welcome I'll deserve."
[Ending theme]
