Felicity was a stress eater and having the biggest craving for dumplings she had ever had in her life. She wondered if Oliver was okay. Hours had passed since he left the foundry under the guise of going to work. Maybe she should call him. She had told Diggle she wanted to forget what had happened, she just wanted to go back to being friends. Friends called and checked on other friends when they were going through a tough time? Made sure they slept and ate? At least that's what she told herself as she picked up her phone and tapped his picture. It rang 6 times and she was just about to hang up when a woman answered. "Hello?"

"Uh, hi." There was silence for a moment. "I'm sorry maybe I called the wrong number."

"You looking for Ollie?" Felicity could hear water running in the distance on the other end of the line.

"Uh yes," she stuttered. 'Get it together Smoak.' The woman probably thinks she's a bumbling idiot or worse...another of Oliver Queen's bimbos.

"He's just got out of the shower, just a second I'll get him."

"No, no, no! I don't need to talk to-" she was cut off by his voice.

"Felicity? Is something wrong?"

"Oliver, uh hi. I'm sorry to bother you while you're doing, uh whatever you're doing. I told her, whoever she is, not that it's any of my business who she is, that I didn't need to talk to you."

"Felicity," he cut off her babble. "Why'd you call?" 'It wasn't to ask you to go to Dim Sum and get dumplings with me. No way," she thought.

"Uh, you know..." she laughed lightly. "I can't remember. I'll text you if I do." Click.

Dumplings for one it is. Well maybe two, she was starving.

On the other end of the line Oliver just stared at the phone in confusion after she hung up.

"What was that about?" Sara asked.

"I have no idea," he replied.

"Well I'm going to try and get some sleep. Good Night."

"Good night Sara," Oliver replied. She went up the stairs to one of the guest rooms and he settled on the couch phone in hand, considering calling Felicity back. Had she sounded...off? It was normal for Felicity to babble but for her to forget what she was going to say? That never happened. She was the person that didn't hold anything back from him. So why did he feel like she was?

Felicity and Digg descended the foundry steps once again. She could hear Oliver talking to someone. "I'm not one man," he said. They entered the room. Felicity took in the small blonde standing in the middle of the room. She automatically knew that it was Sara.

"These are my friends, this is John Diggle and Felicity Smoak," Oliver introduced them. "Guys this is Sara."

"Welcome home Sara," says Digg.

"You're Felicity? The one I talked to on the phone?" asked Sara.

"Yeah, I'm Felicity...of course you already knew that." she babbled on. Was her foot in mouth syndrome getting worse? "You're Sara. I'm happy to hear you not dead anymore. I mean I didn't know you before you didn't die the first time." Oh had she done it. Someone should put her out of her own misery! "I'm still glad you're alive," she finished lamely. She didn't dare look at Oliver or John.

"You're cute," states Sara. What was she? A puppy? Oliver cut off any further thoughts.

"We just had an uninvited guest in the queen mansion." Oliver explained what had happened and handed her a bag of dirt. Really? What was she supposed to do with it? She had went to MIT not Forensic school. She was enthralled with her work keeping an ear to the ongoing conversation when something caught her attention.

League Of Assassins?

"Wait. The League Of Assassins? I thought they were a myth,"stated Diggle.

"What are the League Of Assassins and please don't tell me it's a league made up of assassins." Oliver turned away from them.

"It's a urban legend. I heard about them in Afghanistan from a tribal leader, he claimed that there were an ancient sect of assassins, deadly warriors that killed and vanished like ghost," explained Digg. "I thought he was smoking what he was selling."

Felicity was a smart person but she was beginning to figure out there was a whole lot that she didn't know. There was actually a League Of Assassins and Sara Lance was one of them. How much was more was there to know about the world? And did she want too know it?

"Sorry if I upset you before," Sara said. Felicity looked up from the machine that was testing the dirt sample.

"We all join clubs we wish we hadn't. Took me a year to get out of that gym membership." Sara laughed.

"Thank you."

"For what," she asked.

"For not making me feel like what I am. I can see why Oliver values you so much." Felicity blushed slightly at that. "How did you meet?"

"He brought me a laptop riddled with bullet holes and a utterly ridiculous excuse. The rest is history and now I spend all my nights with him."

"You two are..."

"No no I didn't mean it that way. We work together, we're friends. I don't like him," Another lie. "Not like that." Sara looked at her for a moment and Felicity could swear she was looking right into her soul.

"I'm glad he has you, both of you," she said as she turned to gesture to Diggle. "He hasn't always had the best luck in that area." Felicity could imagine. Oliver Queen didn't have female friends and she had proved that theory. A few times actually.

Before anything else could be said Oliver returned and he was angry. Laurel was working with the DA and they were looking to get the death penalty for his mother. As if he didn't have enough to worry about now another person he cared about was hurting him. He was ready to hit someone and those someones just so happened to be league members. They were a threat to the entire Lance family so they needed to be dealt with. Felicity had tried to ward Detective Lance to leave the city but he wouldn't listen. It wasn't until Sara revealed herself to him that he believed he was in danger. But he didn't care. He had gotten his daughter back. Ultimately after Sara had been injured during one of the fight she decided what was best for her family was that she left Starling City. Felicity didn't know if she should be glad or sad. If she left she was taking the threat away from her family, but if she stayed her family had her back, they would be whole again. But what was having a family if they were all dead? Sara had knew that and she had chosen to protect her family. Felicity wished there was another way, but there wasn't. There was only one way you left the league and she didn't want it to be that way.

Her house was quiet and dark when she stepped inside. She couldn't help but shutter at the thought that there were people out there that could enter her house without her know and kill her without a moment of hesitation. She flicked her lights on and walked deeper into the house. She thought she heard something and jumped. Turned out it was just the neighbors cat on her window sill. She let out a relieved sigh. Ever since Mathis had attacked her she had been jumping at every noise, now there was League of Assassins members to worry about to. Logically she knew they wouldn't hurt her unless she gave them a reason too and she certainly was going to do everything she could to avoid that. She took a hot shower and sat down on her bed. Her head was pounding and she felt vaguely nauseous. She rubbed her temples and laid down on the bed hoping that tonight would be the first night she didn't dream of Mathis turning her into a human doll.

Three am found her back at the empty foundry. She couldn't sleep so she thought she'd do some work. Her time was limited these days and doing paperwork and computer updates were a lot better than staring at the ceiling going over her latest nightmare. She had a ton of files that needed to be read and signed by Oliver since he was the CEO but she knew he didn't have time or the desire to do it so she did it for him. She'd give him the cliff notes and get him to sign it later. Her computers were busy running scans so she leaned back in her chair, placed her feet on her desk and started on the first file. What seemed like only a few minutes later she was being shaken. It was Mathis he was going to take her again and this time no one could save her, the zip ties bit into her skin and a scream tore from her lips. "Felicity!" Someone was calling to her. "Felicity wake up." She woke up swinging her arms, dazed and disoriented. Oliver entered her field of vision. "Hey it's okay, it's was just a dream."

"Oliver," she whispered."

"I'm right here. Take a deep breath. It's okay." He rubbed her arms as she took a deep breath and tried to settle her nerves. Her heart was racing and her body had broken out in a cold sweat. Oliver's warm hands on her weren't doing her any favors. They only brought back memory's better left forgotten. She pulled away from him, sunk to her knees and started gathering all the papers that had fallen to the floor. His hand settled on top of hers stopping her movements. "Felicity? Why didn't you tell me you were having nightmares like that?"

"You've had enough to worry about and you already felt guilty enough Oliver. I wasn't going to add to it."

"Felicity, you should have said something."

"What would you have done? You can't very well stay with me every night and you can't keep the nightmares from happening. I realize you don't hear this often because you're pigheaded and believe everything can be handled with a bow and arrow and a fight but you can't fix this Oliver, you can't fix me. Only time can." She ran her hands through her hair and finished picking up the files. "I need to get to the office."

"Take the day off," Oliver said.

"I can't, there's too much work to do."

"Felicity you're of no use if you're asleep on you feet."

"If I can't get any sleep at home then I might as well get some work done," she slipped her heels on. "I'll see you later." She started towards the door not turning around to see the look of remorse and want cross Oliver's face. If she had only heard his thoughts she would have stayed and wrapped her arms around him. He hated what she was going through and wished that he could be there for her. He hated that she was alone and wondered if the life that they led had kept her from finding someone. Anytime he felt alone or empty all he had to do was look at Felicity and all of that changed. She deserved to have someone do the same for her. He knew if he let himself he could really love her but that was a line not to be crossed. To not even be thought of. The best thing for her was to be far, far away from him and his darkness. He would do anything for her to keep the light that was inside her. So he planted his feet firmly on the other side of the line and watched her walk away hoping that someday it wasn't going to be permanently.
