Dimentio walked as calmly as he could to his room. Anger flowed through him and like a blazing flame, looking for it's next victim to scorch. He needed to be alone, to release this anger. He could not let the others see his emotions, it was too risky. For the better or worse, he needed to keep his distance. It was the only way to survive, as he learned long ago.
Dimentio took a deep breath of air when he came into his room and closed the door behind him. Summoning an electric sphere, he threw it across the room, making a huge crackling sound as it impacted the wall. Immediately, he felt better. Dimentio summoned another electric sphere, only this time a little smaller. He glared at the wall, imagining it was Count Bleck. Grinning, he threw it as it made a huge dent in the wall. Dimentio chuckled a bit, imagining the count being electrocuted.
After throwing a couple more spheres at the wall, he finally was able to get his anger out. Panting a bit, he went to lay down on his bed. Dimentio closed his eyes, thinking of the conversation he had with Count Bleck.
From that one conversation, he knew that he and the count would not get along.
At all.
The count was going to drive him insane if he stayed with him any longer.
However, the thought of the Dark Prognosticus and thought of creating his own perfect world still lingered. More than anything, Dimentio wanted to create a perfect universe. No more evil or suffering. A place that he can truly be himself.
Dimentio smiled.
If he got a hold of the Dark Prognosticus, he might be able to create his flawless world. But he doubt that Count Bleck would just let him read it. He had to wait for the opportunity, gaining the count's trust or wait till he's weak. There was also Mimi, Nastasia, and O'Chunks to put in account. They could be very useful to him if he played his cards right.
Nastasia could get him closer to Count Bleck, though she didn't seem like a person he could easily manipulate.
O'Chunks would be a good distraction to keep Count Bleck off him. But O'Chunks may not be easy to control, though he had low intelligence, Dimentio could tell that he could see if he was being used or not.
And then there was Mimi.
Her shape shifting powers would be very useful, and if she taught her skills to him, Dimentio could use a disguise to get the Dark Prognosticus. But there was one thing bad about Mimi. She had that obvious crush on him, and though he could use her emotions to do his bidding, it bothered him. Dimentio didn't like to be emotionally close to anyone or have anyone close to him. And if he wasn't too careful, all his plans could be destroyed.
But...maybe a little flirting, just enough to get Mimi on his side, wouldn't hurt.
He hated to admit it, but Mimi did look cute when she was embarrassed. The look on her face when she realized she had turned into him, it was priceless.
More thoughts of Mimi went through his mind as Dimentio slowly went into a deep sleep.
Dimentio let out a heavy yawn as he slowly woke from his nap.
He glanced over at his clock. It was a thirty minutes passed seven.
Dimentio cursed.
He was late for dinner! He already made a bad impression on Count Bleck, he didn't need to make things worse for himself.
Quickly, Dimentio teleported to the first floor. Once he was there, he slowly made his way to dining room. But before he could get there, he heard some voices down the hallway. Curious to see who it was, Dimentio turned invisible and levitated towards the sound. At the other side of the hallway, Mimi and O'Chunks, who's hands and arms where covered in bandages, were talking.
Mimi pouted, her back towards O'Chunks. Flares of emotion burned in her eyes, though it looked like she was trying to hide it.
O'Chunks let out a heavy sigh.
"Mimi, I'm not trying to offend you, but I'm just saying that you need to keep your guard up. Dimentio can't be trusted."
"Just because he went a little over the top once, doesn't mean he will do it again," Mimi countered. "I'm sure he won't do it again. Count Bleck won't allow it. I don't see why you're making this a big deal."
"I don't see why you are making it a big deal."
O'Chunks forced Mimi to look at him.
"Just be careful, okay? I may not be the smartest of people, but I can defiantly tell if someone is dangerous or not. It's a military instinct, that I've learned the hard way. And I don't want you to end up hurt, lassie. Dimentio could harm you if you are not on your guard."
"What makes you think he would harm me?"
O'Chunks did not reply.
He only gave Mimi a solemn look and then walked away, limping a bit.
Dimentio watched him go. When O'Chunks was out of sight complete, he turned himself visible and walked towards Mimi, pretending he didn't see the scene.
"Ciao, Mimi."
Mimi jumped at the sound of his voice. She turned to him, failing to hide her shock.
"Oh...hi, Dimentio. I didn't see you there."
Dimentio smiled.
"Sorry if I frightened you. Just wanting to know if you figured out how to teach me shape shifting."
"Oh, about that. I talked to one of my sisters before dinner, and I think I found away to train you. It's...kind of risky, but I think it will work. Err...why don't we discuss this in private. Like the garden."
"If you want. I'll follow you."
Mimi and Dimentio then went out the backdoor of the castle, which lead to an all black garden. Trees, flowers, and bushes covered the garden as a small dirt path went through it. Dimentio and Mimi walked along it as they talked. They then arrived at the center of the garden, where there was a huge fountain.
"So, what's so risky about shape shifting?" Dimentio asked.
Mimi sat on the edge of the fountain, an uncomfortable look in her eyes.
"It's kind of hard to explain. What my sister told me, you have to drink some kind of magic potion. It makes your genes flexible and able to change form. You won't have much control of it at first, which is why you need a strong will, but it grants you the ability to shape shift. However...there is only a fifty percent chance of that happening."
"What's the other fifty percent?"
Mimi was quiet for a long moment.
"...The other percent is when your body and mind going through dramatizing agony. You pretty much have a mental and physical breakdown, and depending how bad it is, you could go insane or lose the will to live. My sister says it happens frequently, though it is mainly mental scarring."
She looked up at Dimentio.
"If you really want to shape shift, I can give you that potion. But I...don't want to risk hurting you. I don't know what I could do to help you if your body rejects the potion."
Dimentio was silent, clearly deep in thought.
True that it did sound risky, but learning how to shape shift may be the only way to get the Dark Prognosticus.
Or the simplest way.
Dimentio gave a small smile.
"I'm willing to take that risk. Perhaps when you go get this potion, we can talk to someone who has experience with it, get us better prepared."
Mimi nodded, though uncertainty was in her gaze.
"If you think it is for the best. Okay, so when Count Bleck gives us a day off, we can go to my home and get it."
Of course we have to have the count's permission!
"That sound like the best option," Dimentio said.
Mimi smiled and sat up.
"Okay. I'll call my sister and see if I can get an arrangement made. If we are lucky, I may be able to show you my hometown as well."
"I'm looking forward to it. Until then, I bid you farewell."
Dimentio took a slight bow.
"Goodnight, Mimi."
Mimi blushed in response.
Dimentio smiled at her reaction and then walked away.
Everything was going perfectly.
Soon, I will have the Dark Prognosticus in my hands, and closer to being rid of Count Bleck.
"Dimentio."
Dimentio turned to see O'Chunks approaching him.
He smiled. "Ciao, O'Chunks. Glad to see you look better."
O'Chunks narrowed his eyes. "I'm sure you are."
There was obvious anger in his voice. Dimentio chuckled.
"I see you are still mad about training. I was just showing the count what I can do, I have nothing against you. Honestly. I needed to show my full potential. You understand, don't you?"
"I agree, though at least I didn't over do it."
O'Chunks popped his knuckles.
"Look, I have nothing against you, but it truly looked like you were going to kill me. I swear, if you pull a stunt like that again, I will kill you without a second thought. That goes for me, or whoever else you 'train' with."
"I guess I may have over done it," Dimentio replied coolly. "I promise I won't do it again. Unless...you want a bit of a challenge."
He let a small yawn.
"Now if you excuse me, I will retire to my room. Ciao."
Dimentio then walked up the stairs O'Chunks glaring at him.
"One other thing. Don't mess with Mimi's feelings. You will greatly regret it if you do."
Dimentio froze.
He glared down at O'Chunks for a split second before he teleported away.
