Bad memories
~At Riko's house~
"Kuroko-kun~, where are you?"
"I'm in front of you XD"
*shocked* "Haven't felt that in a while."
"As usual Riko-nee can't sense me kekekeke XD"
"Kuroko smiles with such excitement, but I feel that deep down, he is enclosed in a world of sadness, because of Izuki ... but I also have the feeling it's something else." Riko thinks in her own mind, and tries to figure out what exactly is the cause for Kuroko to have such big reaction towards Izuki being mad at him.
"Hmm…"
"Arf!" Nigou barked at Riko to snap her out of the trance she was in.
Kuroko turned to Nigou, squatted down and ran his hand down Nigou's fur.
Riko stood there amazed at how Nigou is communicating to the both of them so well.
"Kuroko, it's about time we enter my house, we've been standing here ever since we arrived." Riko said as she shuffled Kuroko's teal blue hair.
Kuroko stands up and smiles at Riko.
Riko blushes a bit before pulling both Kuroko and Nigou in the house.
~After a while, in Riko's room~
Nigou walks over to the corner of the room and lies down on the floor, yawns, and sleeps.
Kuroko walks over to Riko bedside and sits down, before looking up to the ceiling.
Riko stares at them both before again, falling into a trance, lost in thought, about why Kuroko has that much fear, and has shown that much weakness instead of hostility.
"Riko-nee, you have something on your mind don't you? Let's talk about it." Kuroko snapped Riko out of her trance and shocked her with much reaction for the fact Kuroko just mind read Riko without her even noticing.
Riko switch from her shocked face to her concerned face, and let out a heavy sigh.
She nodded and looked at Kuroko with such nature of a sister that Kuroko could only make out a warm smile from his own face.
"You want to know about the origin of my fear don't you? It started when I was in Kindergarten-"
"Hey wait a second, I haven't even asked the question yet, how did you know what I was about to ask without me saying it out?"
"I just had the feeling you were about to ask me that…you can call that a sixth sense I guess."
"I see, if that's the case then, please continue."
"You don't have to be so polite…" Kuroko said as he angled his head down and curled his body towards his knees.
Kuroko looked up slightly, but enough to look Riko in the eyes and continued, "When I was in Kindergarten, the time where my presence can still be felt regularly, I had a friend…or more like a buddy, she was very close to me, she's called "Koyama Yui", you can say she's my childhood friend. We were born on the same day in the same hospital; we grew up as neighbours, we were very close, but one day, something happened, it still gives me shivers till this day just thinking about it."
Kuroko stood up, walked to the corner, picked up Nigou, and sat down.
Sweat ran down Riko's face as she anticipated the continuation of his life story, the time Kuroko paused for the story made Riko more and more nervous as waited, eventually, making her sit down on her desk chair.
Kuroko stroked Nigou's fur as he once again looked up at Riko to continue what he started, "I remember quite clearly, it was a Friday, we were dismissed from school early, and Yui invited me to go out to the park and play, and of course since I wanted to spend more time with her, I accepted. We then went to the park, we played at the kids' playground, like normal kids we just went around playing different things, that was until Yui found a ball nearby, no one was around it so we just used it, but I really hope she hadn't found it…"
Riko realised that a droplet of some sort had fallen on Nigou that came from Kuroko's head.
"Kuroko? If you don't want to tell me its fine, you don't have to push yourself."
Kuroko shifted his eyes to look at Riko enough for her to see the tears flowing out of Kuroko's eyes, he then smiled, "I'd rather say it now, or else, I may never forgive myself."
"Whenever you're ready." Riko said as she continued looking at Kuroko cry in silence.
Kuroko wiped his tears away and continued, "We thought that since we found the ball and there was no one around, we went to play with it. But at one point, Yui threw it too hard, I couldn't catch it, and it rolled on to the road, I didn't think much and just ran over to pick the ball up. After that, I only remembered hearing Yui screaming my name, and a screeching sound then I blacked out. By the time I woke up, I was on a bed, the whole room was white including the bed, I left the room to find Yui, and I found her about 7 rooms away from the one I was in."
"Where were you?" Riko asked out of the blue.
"A hospital apparently, from the information I got from the people who were visiting Yui, we were hit by an oncoming car that I didn't see, and that Yui jumped in front of me to take the hit, although the impact made her fall back and crash into me resulting in me blacking out. From that day until the day I moved out to Tokyo, she stayed unconscious, and I lost all contact from her."
"So even until now you don't know her current status?"
"Yeah…it's a pity, for the fact I at least wanted to thank her for shielding me, but it was because I let my guard down, that caused Yui to get hit in my place."
"Kuroko…have you told anyone about this?"
"Hmm…no, I don't think so, I don't even recall telling that to Aomine."
"It must be that much of an impact to your life that you manually erase you're presence…"
"About my presence, I didn't do it manually, but instead my huge desire not to hurt anyone else made me unknowingly erase my presence."
Riko let out a long sigh and said, "At least now that you said it out, we can actually solve the problem."
"Solve it? Impossible, Izuki-nii is not that easy of a person to accept apologies."
"You'll never know unless you try." Riko stood up from her chair and went to Kuroko's line of sight.
She smiled while shuffling his head, "That's all for today, let's get some sleep before it's too late."

Haru : XD oh and btw, Aki added a new OC, Koyama Yui, it's actually a mix up of one of Aki's aliases
Aki : The original one was called Koyama Aoi, i just felt at one point mixing up the name was fun
