Oh my god! What do you want!?

… Hi!

The pencil Danny was holding broke in half as he tried not scream at Ex while he was in class. The Halfa took in a deep breath and took out a new pencil, luckily no one had notice him brutally snap the poor pencil (it had so much to live for).

His eyebrow twitched and tried his best to pay attention to his math teacher but the fact that a very board and unentertained fire demon was doing his best to annoy him wasn't helping his concentration

Ex…Did you just pester me just so you could say hi?! He demanded.

Yup! Ex said all too happily.

Danny resisted the urge to slam his face into his desk and groan. Right now his level of annoyance was at six and his anger was steadily going to level seven.

You see a while back, Ex had explain to Danny how much emotion he could feel and how much it would affect him the levels going to ten from one. Level one being the lowest and level ten being at the point where Danny would want to use his Ghostly Wail. Anything below level five was okay meaning Danny was still calm and would not react wildly or unreasonable. The only one to get him over level five is, you guessed it, Ex!

Daaaaanyyyy! I'm bored, why did you have to go to school? Ex whined/asked.

Danny mental sighed. Not my fault that Vlad threaten to take away all my videogames and lock me in my room sealed in with an anti-ghost shield if I didn't go to school.

Shesh! Threatening you to go to school? Isn't he a great guardian? Ex said sarcastically.

Danny smiled slightly at Ex's remarked; he turned the textbook's pages as he replied to Ex.

At least I got my revenge before I left for school.

Ohhh, what did you do?

Just gave a very slobber ghost dog I know Vlad's signed Green Bay Packers football. Danny said in his head and a smile on his face.

Hahahah! Oh, man, when do you think Vlad will notice it's gone? Ex asked excitedly

Don't know; he'll either notice his football is gone or the fact that his cat's fur was dyed pink, curtsey of Dani. Danny noted; he wasn't the only one upset about going to school.

D-Dani did what!? Bwhahahaha! I c-can't believe, hahaha, she did that, hahah! He laughed loudly in Danny's head.

Even though the laughing was slightly annoying Danny, he couldn't help but chuckle with the demon but it seemed not everyone was in an amused mood like him.

The chuckle caught the teacher's attention who frowned. The teacher was a short man; having grey strikes in his brown hair and on his thick mustache along with the glasses set on his nose. He wore the stander teacher's clothing being a whit dress shirt, black slacks and tie. This teacher was known to having short patience and absolutely no humor so I bet you all can imagine how much our hero is going be in trouble just because of a little laughter.

The teacher pulled his glasses down some to look directly at Danny.

"Is something funny Mr. Fenton?" The teacher asked in an impatient yet monotone voice.

Danny stopped his chuckling and smiled shyly at the teacher.

"Uh, no sir."

"Hmmmm. Well if you find nothing funny then you must have payed attention," he stated; he moved to the side of the board. "So you must know how to solve this problem."

Danny gulped as he walked up to the board. He stared at the board intensely trying to figure out how to solve the problem quickly.

Crap, I can fight ghosts and think up witty comments during the fight and beat them, but I can't figure out how to solve a fricking math problem!? He panicked in his head as his mind went totally blank on how to solve the problem.

52.3. Ex said suddenly.

Danny blinked. Uh?

52.3 is the answer so hurry up and write it before the guy gives you a F.

Danny glanced at his teacher to see him with crossed arms and an irritated look on his face. Danny didn't keep him waiting and quickly wrote the answer Ex had given him. He held his breath as he looked over to the teacher who looked at his answer and hmmm.

"…Well you seem to have gotten the answer," he said in his monotone voice.

Danny breathed again from relief but quickly backed up as the teacher grabbed the chalk out of his hand and pointed it in his face.

"But I expect no more laughter of any kind in my class do you understand?"

Danny gulped.

"Yes sir," he replied; he quickly went back to his set and sat down.

Well that wasn't nerve wracking. Ex commented.

These are the times when I wished Mr. Lancer was still here. Danny said along with a mental sigh. By the way how did you know the answer?

I went over your math notes when you were studying back home but after you fell asleep halfway through the book I had one of my wisps turn the pages as I read it over.

Wisps?

Fire demons can summon little spirits called wisps; usual these little guys help me out on little jobs like cleaning, scouting out areas, etc. Ex explained.

Oh, can you have them clean my room? Danny asked.

Ex snorted. No, they need to grow attach to you before they'll do what you want or listen to your requests, order them before hand and they'll play pranks on you.

…Lets send them to go "help" Vlad with his work. Danny said as he started to smile again.

Ex chuckled. That's not a bad idea but how about we discuss this later when your teacher isn't giving you the stink eye.

The teacher was indeed giving him a look so the Halfa stopped his conversation with the demon and slightly continued to write notes.

Danny stood in line as he received the disgusting meal the school called food. It may look like a burger but you never know what's in it. Danny walked looking for an empty table so he wouldn't be bothered and stopped in front of the table he used to sit at with Sam and Tucker. He looked at the table a little sadly but sighed and moved to an empty table in the coroner; that table had too many memories. He sat at the table and started to eat the questionable burger; he looked around the cafeteria seeing all the different groups, nerds, goths, and of course the A-listers who were bullying a freshman

The Halfa narrowed his eyes.

"So they didn't change after all," he mumbled to himself.

Wait a sec Danny, what about that black haired jock that's by them? Ex asked.

You mean Kwan? He looked over at the football player to see him trying to convince Dash and the others to stop bothering the teen.

Danny sighed.

Kwan has always been nice but he always gives into peer pressure nothing new. He explained and went back to eating.

Then why are the others frowning at him and telling him to go away?

What? Danny looked up to see Kwan was indeed leaving the A-listers table with his stuff and food while the freshmen they were bullying was thanking him before running off somewhere.

Kwan actually isn't giving into pressure…Well that's new. Danny observed.

The black haired jock seemed to be loss not knowing where to go without being with the A-lister. Kwan looked around to see if someone wouldn't mind him sitting by them but since he helped Dash bully majority of the student body it wasn't likely. He spotted Danny and went over and set his stuff down and sat a crossed from the Halfa.

"You don't mind if I sit here right?" He asked

Danny was surprised.

"No I don't but why are you sitting here? You know there are others around you could sit by." Danny pointed out.

He sighed. "I don't really think they would want me near them. I thought you wouldn't mind too much."

Danny shrugs and replied, "I don't really care what you do."

"Well after Dash visited you he told us what you told him," Kwan said. "We did as you said for a while and it was getting better but the others started to get bored and didn't like how things were and decided to go back to how things were before."

"And why didn't you go back like the others?" Danny asked

"Well I never really liked bullying others I was just pressured a lot. I guess when we were all nice for a few weeks it gave me the confidence to try to be myself after I couldn't take it anymore." He smiled at Danny. "Thanks for being the confident boost I needed."

"I didn't do much, just told Dash to do something, which the big oaf didn't even do for that long," Danny grumbled about the last part.

"Dash is kind of stubborn when it comes to changing things," Kwan said with a smile.

"Yeah no kidding." Danny continued to eat his lunch but before he could even finish his next bite his ghost senses went off. "Great who could it be?"

"What was that?" Kwan asked.

"Nothing; look Kwan I need to go do something, catch you later okay." Danny didn't wait for his answer and started to walk away quickly.

"Oh, sure," Kwan said a little down Danny left so soon.

That was cold, leaving him hanging like that. Ex committed

Couldn't be helped a ghost is here and I need to stop it.

Still, no need to be rude.

Danny went looked around the hallway making sure no one was around and transformed. He zipped off towards the schools roof deciding to get a high view first. As soon as he left the building he moved out of the way as a missile came streaming toward him. Danny looked in front of him to see the mechanical green-flames-for- hair ghost arms out ready to shoot more missiles. Danny smiled and got into a fighting pose.

"Skulker," the Halfa greeted.

"Ghost child," he greeted back. Skulker's eyes narrowed. "I see the rumors are true about you making a contract with a demon."

"How did you guys find out?" Danny asked surprised.

"The Box Ghost went on blabbing about how you seemed to have changed… Then when they others came to the human world and you fought them they also said you were different. It didn't take long for everyone to figure out that it was a demon that changed you," Skulker explained.

"Let me guess everyone freaked out," Danny said with a sigh.

"Well yes but with you having a demon under your control you just made yourself the first ghost to have a contract with a demon even though your only half ghost." Skulker smirked and fired up his weapons. "Making you an even rarer product then before that I must hunt!"

Danny smirked and charged. "I like to see you try!"

The two ghosts charged and threw their own attacks at each other both dodging and quickly going back at it. Danny continued to attack with his ectoblasts and Skulker with his missiles and guns. The hero jumped back dodging a punch from the hunter.

Need to lead him away. Danny thought.

He flew up avoiding Skulker and yelled at him.

"Come on Skulker! What's the matter, Ghost's zones greatest hunter can't even catch a teenager?" He taunted and flew away from the school.

Skulker growled. "I'll show you whelp!"

Danny flew to the outskirts of town with Skulker catching up to him firing blasts as he chased the Halfa. Danny spun around quickly and flew downwards and up hitting Skulker in the gut with an ecto-powered punch. He flew back as Danny's punch made connect and spun around and sent his own blasts; Danny dodged as he tried to aim his blasts at Skulker's guns in order to destroy them. He was able to destroy the guns but since he was focused on that he didn't have time to doge Skulker's punch and kick

"Uff!" Danny grunted as he landed into one the building.

He went intangible and sank into the building as Skulker punched the area where he once was. Our hero flew out of the building and went around the hunter and shot him in the back

"Ahh!" Skulker screamed in pain and turned around to face Danny and growled out. "You'll pay for that whelp!"

"I highly doubt that," Danny replied and threw a blast.

Skulker countered with his own blast and charged at Danny who wasted no time in charging too. Just when Danny thought they would collide, Skulker flew upwards and fired a net at Danny, he didn't have time to dodge, luckily he didn't have to. An arrow came out of nowhere and threw the net off course. Danny didn't waste this chance to move away before Skulker could fire another net.

Was that Artimes's arrow?

Ghosty, I don't think it was Artimes that saved you. Ex committed.

Ex was right; instead of seeing a blond haired archer landing right next to the Halfa it was a red haired young man wearing red and black clothes and a black mask with a quiver on his back. It was obvious this man was also a hero and his whole posture yelled hero.

Auuuuggghhhh! How many archer heroes are there!? Seriously!? Ex ranted.

"Need some help?" Asked the archer.

Danny looked at the hero in surprised. "Aren't you Speedy?"

Danny only knew of three heroes that were archers which were Green Arrow his sidekick Speedy and recently Artimes. He heard on the news how Speedy seemed have become his own hero now but Danny never paid much mind to it.

Speedy grimaced at being called that name.

"It's Red Arrow now," he growled out.

The ex-sidekick looked away from Danny and up to Skulker who frowned at the archer for getting in his way.

"So who's this guy?" Red Arrowed asked.

"The ghost zone's greatest hunter, Skulker or what I like to call him the worst hunter ever to exist," Danny said.

The heroes looked up to hear Skulker growling.

"You will eat those words ghost child," Skulker yelled; he threw more missiles at the two.

The two went in different directions as they dodged the missiles and did not hesitate as they fired their own attacks. Danny attack with his ectoblast as usually while Red Arrow attacked with his arrows, blasting whenever they landed on the ghost. Skulker growled with frustration as the two heroes got the upper hand on him; he would go intangible whenever the archer's arrows were shot at him but when Danny would distract him he would lose focus on his intangibility and get hit.

The hunter finally had enough.

He quickly went at Danny and went intangible letting the arrows pass through him harmlessly and dodged Danny's blasts. He was just going grab Danny but Danny flew underneath him and threw sticky ectoplasm.

Danny smirked at Skulker's surprised expression.

"Whelp!" Skulker yelled.

He didn't finish though as an arrow blasted in his face and Danny had sucked him into the thermos. Danny smiled to himself and floated toward Red Arrow stopping a few feet in front of him.

"Thanks for the assist," Danny thanked. He looked at the hero curiously. "By the way, what are you doing in my town?"

"I'm here to ask for your help," Red Arrowed stated.

Danny was once again surprised.

"My help? I heard that you were going solo, why would do you need my help?" He asked.

"Because you have always been a solo hero until recently and I thought you wouldn't mind helping out another solo hero," Red Arrow explained.

Danny understood his reasoning even though he did work in team before but that team was gone since the others were dead, though he was curious at what the hero needed his help with.

"So what exactly do you want me to help with?" Danny asked.

"I just need you to guard a professor named Serling Roquette while I get a team to guard her as she works on a virus."

Now Danny was even more curious on why a scientist would need protection.

"Why does she need protection?"

"She was kidnapped two weeks by the League of Shadows and was forced to make a weapon for them know as the Fog. I rescued her trying to save her before she made a weapon but that seemed to fail so she making the virus to destroy the Fog," he explained; you could hear some pride in his voice when he was talking how he was the one to save her.

"League of Shadows, who are they? What does this Fog do?" Danny asked

The archer sighed. "Look, I can't waste my time answering all your questions the Doc might be killed at any minute and I have other things to do then guard her so while I go get a team to protect her can you guard her till then?"

Danny felt a tick mark appear. This guy! He seemed to act like he was better than everyone else and not care about anyone else's opinion is. But someone was in trouble and Dani could handle going on patrol alone tonight.

"Alright I'll do it. When do you need me?"

Red Arrow didn't smile at Danny accepted his mission but Danny guessed he wasn't really a happy guy.

"Come to the Happy Harbor High school, once you get there your going have to watch her till the team I was talking about comes, understand?" Red Arrow asked.

Well I understand that you're a bossy know it all! Ex yelled at the ex-sidekick even though he knew Red Arrow wouldn't hear him yelling.

"Yeah I understand," Danny replied.

"Good, see you later then." With that said Red Arrow took off.

Danny sighed and started to head back to the school ignoring Ex's ranting about how some humans were stuck ups and got on his nerves. While he focused on the matter at hand of trying to get out of school earlier so he could go protect the professor.

Danny was once again resisting the urge to hit his head, not as bad as when Ex was annoying him but still bad. Who know protecting a scientist would give him a migraine.

"It's bad enough that I was saved by some solo hero, but now I have to be protected by some ghost hero that's a menace and wait for some mysterious team to come and guard me?! Ugh! I don't think I can work like this," a woman complained who was Dr. Serling Roquette. A short-haired-blond woman with blue eyes and glasses along with a short-tempered attitude.

Is this women an actually scientist or does she only know how to complain? Ex asked; who was also getting fed up with this women's attitude.

Well she was kidnapped and forced to make a weapon and is in risked of being killed but. Danny glanced at her who was still ranting. Did she have to go off on about how people question if I'm a hero? I already a have a work load of homework for when I get home and I don't need to be reminded about the past!

Hopefully that team Red Arrow was talking about comes soon. I don't think I can take anymore complaining. Ex said with a sigh.

The team might ask us to stay and help. Danny noted.

Ex sighed. Yeah, I guess we should get ready for a long night then.

Danny nodded to that thought and turned toward Roquette.

"So how the virus going Doc?" Danny asked trying to make conversation while being polite.

"Hard," she stated. "And trying to make friendly conversation won't help me," she snapped.

"Well sorry," Danny said sarcastically.

"When is this team going get here? I don't think you can protect me from assassins," she stated.

Danny decided to hold back his remark as he heard footsteps heading to the door.

"Doc hide," Danny ordered whispered.

The doctor for the first time didn't complain and hid. Danny stood by the door ready to strike once it was opened. The door slowly opened and Danny quickly threw a punch but was blocked by someone else arm.

"Well nice to see you again Phantom." The one who had blocked Danny's attack was a familiar blond archer.
Danny's eyes widen in surprise.
"Artimes?"
"The one and only." She looked over Danny's shoulder. "So can we come in?"

"Oh, Sure." He moved out of the way for Artiems to come in and a dark skinned boy who had black tattoos on his arms and short blond hair and had gills.
"Aqualad?" Danny asked.
"Phantom; I see Red Arrow really did ask you to guard the Doctor," Aqualad said.
"Yeah, and I'm guessing you're the team that's supposed to protect her?"
"Yes, Red Arrow asked us to guard the Doctor while she worked on the virus there some others already outside guarding the perimeter. Since you were already guarding the Doctor would you stay and help us?"

Danny looked at Roquette seeing her come out of her hiding place since it was safe and was once again working on the virus. When she notice the team was only teens she frowned, she seemed to dislike having teens protect her but since Danny was already protecting her and Ex had mention that the team would probably ask him to help he guessed he would stay. Even if a certain professor dislike the idea.

"Sure, I'll stay and help but who else are here?" He asked.
"Kid Flash and Robin along with two other heroes you may have not heard yet; Superboy and Miss. Martian," Aqualad said. "Miss Martian and Superboy are guarding the perimeter. Kid Flash and Robin will be joining us here shortly after they finish checking the halls."

He handed Danny a com which he took and placed in his ear.

"You'll be able to check in with the others but we most likely won't use it."
Danny raised an eyebrow

"And why won't we use it?" He asked.

"Are minds will be linked together through a telepathic link by Miss. Martian. We'll be able to communicate without having to worry if the enemy can hear what we are saying," Aqualad explained.

Danny nodded in understand but couldn't help to feel a little uncertain with letting someone enter his mind and he wasn't the only one.

Danny! Ex whispered-yelled in Danny's head.
Ex, why are you whispering? No one can hear you but me. Danny said.

Wrong Danny, fish boy just said that some Martian is going be linking up all our minds and that will make everyone hear me! Who knows, she may already be listening! Ex said worriedly. And I don't think you want these guys to know you have a demon in your body!

Okay, okay calm down Ex. I can't leave them since I said I helped but can you just stay quiet while I work with them? Danny asked.

Sure I can do that but I'm going have to hide deeper in your mind so the Martian won't detect me. Ex said.

Fine, do it, as long as they don't find you. Danny said.

Understood Ghosty but remember to lower those mental shields of yours so she can make the connection. Why do you mental barriers anyway? Ex asked.

It involves an incident with being mind-controlled. Not a pleasant experience. Danny explained but did not hear a reply.

Danny did a mental sigh, knowing Ex would probably be quiet for quite a while till it was safe for him to talk again. Danny attention was taking away as the two other sidekicks came in. Danny shook his head to get himself focused on the task at hand and went to greet the other heroes.

After a few minutes of making sure everything was scurried Danny felt something prod his mind. He guessed it must have been the Martian trying to link their mind together so Danny let down his mental shields.

Is everyone online? The Martian asked.

Whoa, this is weird. Danny committed.

You got that right. Artimes said.

Phantom! It's nice to finally meet you! Well a mental met up-but still it's nice to talk to you! Ms. Martian said enthusiastically.

An eyebrow went up in surprise. You've wanted to talk to me?

Yes! I have heard a lot about you and what you've done even if some of its bad but-.The Martine was cut off.
Can you please by quiet!? Roquette yelled at the Martian. It's already distracting enough having teens in my head but I don't need you all to be talking too.

Sorry… Miss. Martian apologized.

Lady do you always complain when someone tries to help you? Kid Flash asked as he ate a candy bar.

She has been since I've been guarding her. Danny said and leaned against the door.

Pot, kettle. Have you met? Artimes asked sarcastically as she made hand movements to make her point.

Hey! I don't need attitude from the newbie who drove Red Arrow off the team! Wally said accusingly at the blond; not really appreciating her sarcasm.

This ignited the archer's anger as she glared at Wally.

That is so not on me! She retorted and crossed her arms and turned her back toward the speedy hero.

There arguing broke Roquette concentration as she stopped typing and sighed with annoyance.

The fate of the world is at stack you know! She yelled at them both.

Well she started it! Wally said rather childishly and crossed his arms.

Artimes rolled her eyes and started to walk away.

I'll just go patrol the perimeter with Miss. Martine and Superboy. She said and walked out the door.

Good idea. Aqualad said as he gave her a look.

Danny sighed and rubbed his temple, he really thought Artimes was mature when they worked together, guess he was wrong or maybe it was Kid Flash that caused her to act childish? He did seem to be blaming her for something related to Red Arrow.

Danny looked over at Kid Flash and Robin seeing Robin giving Kid Flash a look as he continue to eat his candy bar without really minding that Artimes just left.

You know you could cut her some slack. It was her arrow who saved your butt from Amazo. Robin said with a smirk.

No! That was Speedy-I mean Red Arrow, Arrow… Right? Kid Flash said a little awkwardly.

Technically it was me and Artimes that helped you guys with that fight. Danny committed wanting a little recognition.

This caused all the heroes in the room to look at the Halfa with surprised looks.

You were with Artiems when we fought that robot? Kid Flash asked.

Yeah, I was there to catch some ghosts that were there and I met Artimes one thing led to another and I was helping her saving you guys. Danny explained.

What were ghosts doing in Gotham? Robin asked.

Danny shrugged. No clue.

Kid Flash huffed. Well, just because she did save me it doesn't mean I will be giving her any satisfaction.

You know I can still hear you? Artimes said.

Kid Flash's eyes widen in realization and he groaned and grabbed his head in irritation.

Roquette pinched the bridge of her nose in irritation.

Why couldn't I get the Justice League? She asked.

Danny frowned as he watched Aqualad interact with the professor ignoring most of the conversation since it didn't interest him. The whole time he was here he kept expecting Ex to make some kind of remark but no voice came up in his mind making any remarks to annoy him or laugh at the others. It was strange, Danny had gotten used to the demon talking to him and the two of them having conversations for hours about almost anything. He finally snapped out of it when Aqualad asked him and Kid Flash to go check the halls and to guard outside.

He floated around the halls splitting up from Kid Flash to check the other rooms while Kid Flash guarded the door. Danny phased through the rooms checking to make sure no one had snuck in through an open window. For some reason Danny felt a little uneasy he knew something was off but not sure what it was. He felt a small blitz of warmth go through him and his eyes widen; he quickly flew back to the computer lab and was just in time to see a shurkin fly at Roquette which he blocked with a shield.

"Get down!" Danny yelled as he flew in.

Aqualad sprung into as Danny moved the doctor out of the way as more shurikens came flying. The Atlantin took the blow from the weapon not even wincing. The assassin they had all waited for came into view.

The assassin was obviously female wearing a short dark green kimono shredded at the sleeves revealing black armor which was the same as her knee high boots. Her hair was thick and black but what stood out the most was her cat like mask that had a broad grin across its face. This was the assassin named Cheshire.

She charged into the room and attacked Aquald

"That looked like it hurt," she teased.

"Atlanta skin is quite dense," he retorted and kicked her away.

The kick did not land on its mark since she flipped back out of way.

Danny made sure Roquette was out of the way and put a shield up around her, once the barrier was up Danny flew at the assassin and called to the others with their mental link.

"Guys, the assassin is here! Were under attack here in the lab!"

On our way! Artimes said.

Danny attacked Cheshire on the side as the Atlantic hero attack from the front with his aqua blades. Cheshire ducked Danny's attack and did a low sweep on Aqualad who fell but did not stop fighting. It was safe to say that Danny and Aqualad weren't used to each other's abilities and so it was harder to tell when the other would attack the assassin but they're combined attacks were keeping her on her feet.

"I can't tell whether it's the poison slowing you down sidekick or if it's the ghost's clumsiness that's holding you back," she taunted as she blocked a move from both heroes on each side.

"It is neither Phantom nor the poison holding me back," Aqualad said as he glared at the enemy. "Beside, Jellyfish toxic, I'm highly immune."

"And if you haven't notice you're not doing so well yourself," Danny said.

"Hmph!" She exclaimed as she all of the sudden moved and slammed the two's head together making them dazed. "It seems you two still have some work."

She looked at Roquette, and started to walk toward her but an arrow almost hit her as she moved. She turned to see Artimes bow and arrow out and her glaring at the assassin through narrowed eyes.

"Don't…Move," she threatened.

"Well aren't things finally getting interesting," Cheshire said.

Artimes let lose her arrows at the assassin who spun and turned in order to deflect the arrows as she was assaulted with them. Cheshire was too distracted with her new target to see Danny appear right by her and kick her into the wall just after Artimes paused in her attack. Cheshire crashed hard against the wall and was dazed but she quickly shook out of it. She glared at Danny and Artiems but notice how Kid Flash and Miss. Martian were there and narrowed her eyes.

"It seems the scene has gotten too interesting," she stated.

Artimes fired another arrow which Cheshire reflected and threw down a smoke bomb. Kid Flash tried to rush her but she was already gone causing him to land in a wall. Even though everything was tense Artemis couldn't help but chuckle when he hit the wall…so did Danny a little bit.

Kid Flash glared at the spot where Cheshire once was.

"She's gone."

"She's getting away! You're letting her get away!" Roquette accused the team.

And Kid Flash decided to accuse Artimes and got right in her face.

"This is your fault! You were on perimeter how did that shadow get in here?!" He yelled.

Artimes just gave a look.

Danny just rolled his eyes as the others gave Kid Flash a look too. Miss. Martian walked up to him.

"That isn't really fair. I was outside too," she chipped in.

"Outside being…" He paused as he tried to make a good excuse. "Distracted by her! Besides I can't be mad at you."

He gave her a look that clearly showed he was smitten by the Martian.

After all you gave mouth to mouth.

We heard that! Everyone yelled giving the speedster glares.

"Dang it!" he yelled and sulked as he walked away.

Miss. Martin stopped glaring at him and smiled knowingly at Artimes.

"I didn't do so well my first time either and you couldn't have been Green Arrow's sidekick for long," she said.
Danny nodded as he floated up to the two.

"I'm not doing so well tonight either Artimes plus when I first started this hero gig you wouldn't believe how many times I would get beaten up or defeated," said Danny; he chuckled to himself as he remembered the first time he was in a fight.

Artimes look didn't really change but she didn't really have time to respond as Aqualad got their attention and the coms went off and Robin spoke on the other end.

"Robin to Aqualad we've located the Fog finding it at Star Labs and were already too late. The lab was destroyed. Totally destroyed," Robin said solemnly. "This is bad, Start Labs has the cutting edge science now it all in the hand of the enemy."

"What's are next move," he asked Aqualad.

Aqualad answered quickly as he looked at the rest of the team and the doctor.

"Re-scan for the Fog and find it; were moving the doctor," he gave the orders and Robin replied with a quick okay and the call ended.

Aqualad looked at the others.

"Cheshire will come back and may have reinforcements. We need a plan to keep the doctor safe," Aqualad explained.

Danny raised a hand and smiled.

"I may have a plan."

Yay~. I got another chapter done! I hope you are all enjoying the story so far, I cut this chapter in half since I thought it lasted a little too long.
