A Curse

I am Shadow the Hedgehog. I am part of a terrible curse. There are seven of us. We spent six of our years together, yet we do not remember each others' faces, due to a memory spell. We separated so they cannot find us. We each have a power, but must hide them so we may blend in. It has been a few years since we have disbanded, but I have a feeling that's all about to change.

Tails

"Well, I guess we better start trying to find him." Tails said resigned. "How? He could be ANYWHERE!" Sonic pointed out. "Wait a sec!" Tails called. All eyes fell on the young fox. "So, he gained our powers, right?" he started. They all nodded. "Shadow, if I do some studies, I can probably find a way to trace his location via chaos energy!" Tails exclaimed happily. "Um, guys? One problem." Rouge cut in. "Now I'm no scientist, but I don't think we have the materials to do conduct a project so large." Sonic and Tails exchanged a look. "Actually, I've got a lab." Everyone's eyes widened. "It's a short distance from here! Let's go!" he said. Taking lead, Tails started off on his way to his place of enjoyment.

Sonic

Catching up to his best friend, Sonic whispered, "I knew you'd find some reason to take us there." Smiling, he replied, "What can I say? I miss the old place." "How much longer?" Silver asked impatiently. "Not too much longer…" Tails answered… for the fifth time. Looking around, Sonic finally recognized where they were walking through. Shifting his gaze from the checkered floor to the long loops in the road beside them, nostalgia filled his mind. "Ah, good old Green Hill Zone… I forgot we had to go through here to get to Central City." he muttered to himself. Finally, something to stop my boredom!

Griffin

Looking around, Griffin stared at his progress. Buildings laid in chunks around him, and he just shook his head. You would think with the amount of times this place is attacked that they would reinforce the buildings… Oh well, not my problem. Hearing a faint sound in the air, he gazed skywards. A fleet of military helicopters were advancing on his position. Normally he would have been worried by this sight, but now, there was nothing normal about him anymore. Focusing, he said two simple words. "Chaos control!" The helicopter pilots' viewed the spot where the criminal once stood, puzzled. Slowly, they realized what happened. Great… Now TWO people have chaos powers!

Let's see… His powers are amazing. He seems to not be very trustful, and shut others out. His dark past haunts him, and he doesn't quite know what to do. He is the most qualified… Yes, I know what I'll do. He's PERFECT for my needs. All I have to do now is to wait… My moment will come soon enough.

Hi everybody! I AM SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT! I have been SO busy, and am terribly sorry for how long it took me to write this. I also had serious writer's block and apologize. So, as the title suggests, I need to start setting the stage. This story is going to have a MAJOR plot twist soon, and I'm worried it won't be liked. Anyways, I decided to use the Central City bas for Tails because I actually like Sonic Chronicles. It has the best replay system of all Sonic games, and I wish it was like that for them all! Who is the NEW question mark? Please tell me your thought in a review and favorite! I also have a new FictionPress account so please look at that!
