Sonic closed his eyes, thinking about Rouge's statement. So I would utilize the werehog, Tails would, I don't know, create some science thing?, and Amy can swing those hammers like there's no tomorrow. Is there more we can do? The blue hedgehog turned towards his counterpart. "What should we do?" Sonic asked. "I don't know…" he muttered in reply, clearly not paying attention. Sonic grunted, "What kind of answer is that?" By then, however, Shadow had ceased listening. His mind was focused on other things.

I really should be thinking more on this matter at hand… Shadow closed his eyes for concentration. One image kept reappearing in the back of his mind; the entryway to a cave on the side of a mountain. I've never seen that place before in my life… What could it mean? He opened his eyes, raising the chaos emerald before his face. I could go there using chaos control... I wonder what I'd find. "Shadow!" Rouge shouted, derailing his train of thoughts. "Are you okay?" she asked, worrying for her friend. "Of course. Just trying to plan ahead." he responded, clearing his face to a blank slate. There will be time for the cave later. Right now I need to focus.

So, this originally was going to be an April Fool's chapter, but I decided to go a different route. Instead, I wrote a small chapter, just to get this story back in my mind. Then I can write a better chapter. This chapter is still important, though. Please review and favorite!
